Reviews of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
As a Seattle wedding photography who shoots a lot of Catholic weddings, I must say that my favorite church is Blessed Sacrament. While the liturgy there is always great, the church is absolutely stunning from a visual point of view. The priests and assistants have always been most welcoming.
A very beautiful church. Very well managed. Peaceful, clean, and serene. Simple yet it’s all you need. The priests who take care of this church are amazing. The sermons are spiritual and insightful. The ushers are kind. The beauty of Catholic parishes is the community in Christ - and there is a big family here, everyone is welcome, especially sinners. Did I mention the music? Sublime. I am thoroughly able to worship and give praise to Jesus Christ here. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I went there on weekends for Sunday mass. When I visited it for the first time, I didn't know which is the gate I could open, and the lady was pretty nice and friendly to guide me and explain the COVID-19 updated regulation and show me the seats. There are some parking spaces, so I guess people can drive there. I took a walk there, and the street view is nice! I would like to participate and engage in the church community soon!
Food pantry. Great people. Just need any id. Friday 10:30 am to noon
The church sponsors a once a month Senior Luncheon, featuring a hit meal & fellowship. This month a fellow attempted to take some of the mystery out of Medicare. If you find the IRS a simple system to follow each year then Medicare will be a snap. Would you expect anything "user friendly" from our government?
A spiritual oasis for Catholics who want reverent liturgy, beautiful music, orthodox preaching, and a prayerful ambiance. Stop by and talk to a Dominican friar, say a prayer, and get a quiet moment.
Very helpful blessed voulanteers who enjoy serving the homeless, thank u personslly 4 all your church does , MR Felix G
Roman Catholic parish with excellent preaching (the parish has been Dominican since its founding over a century ago), one of the best music programs in the city, very good Christian education, and good liturgy— the noon Mass in particular includes Gregorian Chant and some of the prayers are in Latin. There are six Sunday Masses, plus morning and evening daily Masses most days, followed by recitation of the Rosary. Blessed Sacrament stands out for its youthful congregation, with many singles as well as young families.
Blessed Sacrament parish was founded in the first decade of the 20th Century, when the Bishop of Seattle asked the Dominicans to come and minister to the students and staff of the newly founded University of Washington. The Dominicans continue to run the Newman Center, with its very active programs at the university.
Highly recommended.
Blessed Sacrament has a new Dominican friar as its pastor. Fr. Dominic David Maichrowicz, who came to Seattle from Alaska, is a good liturgist and a wonderful preacher, whose sermons combine erudition with humor. Highly recommended.
Beautiful church. My second favorite church in Seattle. Going here for daily masses. The Parish is nice and welcoming. The church is huge and heavenly like providing a great atmosphere for people to come worship or praying.
Beautiful, peaceful church with wonderful staff. Reminds me of my parents who were parishioners.
On a rare blue-sky day, I took a walk around the neighborhood and saw this beautiful church. It looks peaceful here despite hearing the roars of the highway traffic. The exploration continues...
This is the most beautiful church I have ever seen
Quaint and peaceful
Best parish in Seattle; beautiful architecture, great music (often polyphony) and a friendly community. Deo Gratias!
Moving heaven and earth to fulfill Christ's mission. Hard work and so glad these blessed soldiers are helping to succeed.
Beautiful, reverent and rock solid.
A great Catholic Church in Seattle.
As a fairly lapsed Catholic, I find the occasional trip to a mass here welcoming and refreshing. I've only attended a handful of times in the year I've been in the area, but they've all been positive experiences.
The priests (at the time of writing, at least) are all quite chipper and have relevant homilies. The church itself is quite beautiful, and just recently started some renovations on their stained glass windows, which I'm sure will only improve the place.
Stumbled upon this parish while visiting Seattle, very reverent Mass and beautiful church. I was very pleased with the whole experience! One of the priests was a Dominican friar and gave a great Lenten sermon.
Stunningly gorgeous church fill with the overflowing and loving presents of our savior Jesus Christ. The Dominican priests are truly outstanding. Their knowledge of scripture and catechism make for a riveting homilies. Jesus is waiting, please come to mass and/or sit in his house reflecting on his glory.
Absolutely stunningly beautiful Roman Catholic Church with the Dominicans at the helm, its traditionally sacred liturgies with attention to sacred music excellence there’s Nowhere better in the Seattle area.
I love going to Mass at this church! The most reverent church I've been to in the Seattle area 😁 …
Fabulous music friendly people excellent homily
A good place to pray, my friend goes there a lot. The building is so impressive, drive me to go in and pray. It is quite, clean and nice. It is also cool in summer.
It's the only church in Seattle, that has mass every morning
I can't say enough amazing things about Blessed Sacrament Parish. Being part of it and it's community is one of my most wonderful blessings. I encourage all, especially young adults to join. <3
Great place to worship!
Beautiful church. Definitely would recommend to any Catholic in/visiting Seattle!
Beautiful and prayerful Catholic church! Their St Vincent de Paul society serves dinner to about 300 men and women EVERY Sunday!!!
Pre Vatican 2 is a good thing....as is being politically/socially conservative. Who are all you Catholics that have decided to become so modern & liberal??? Abortion bad, gay rights bad, alter girls bad, received the blessed sacrament in the hand and/or from anyone other than the priest bad.
I'm not Catholic but I've been here for several weddings. It is a beautiful and welcoming space. There is not a lot of parking.
Free lunch every Sunday around noon time to go.
Beautiful church helping so many incredible food very very pretty inside they do great network an outreach service for homeless. Mark
Amazing, love attending Mass here, my wife and I enjoy the music as well as praising the Lord.
What a beautiful church! Both inside and out, heart and soul.
A little slice of heaven on earth. Love Blessed Sacrament and all the priests there. When you attend mass here, you never want to leave. <3
The parish is Dominican, if that doesn't mean much then it's safe to say that this church has many pleasing aesthetics.
Beautiful temple with a great energy in a wonderful neighborhood. We walk by almost everyday.
Beautiful church where my parents were Married in 1948
