Reviews of Ray Of Hope Community Church

Ray of Hope is a vibrant, loving and hospitable worship community. I visited on a Sunday while I was in Nashville for business. The preaching and teaching are dynamic and helping people to grow, not only spiritually, but holistically. It’s a thoughtful and missional community committed to the radical love and hospitality of Christ through its words and deeds. The leaders come across sincere in ministry approach and prolific in pastoral leadership.
If you’re looking for a worship community, folks to do life with, who love Jesus and you, just as you are, visit The Ray!

Ray of Hope is indeed much more than a building where folks gather - Ray of Hope is home. It is family. It is community. From our in-house worship to our online social media presence, here, at The Ray, I re-discovered the importance of belonging. Be it physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually. It is here that I re-developed my relationship with God. A relationship that is ever evolving; as we all are. If you’re looking for a safe, sacred space to grow in faith - you’re at the right place!

Beautiful people inside and out, Ray of Hope is the most i've ever felt connected to a church, a community. Being new to Nashville, my fiancé and I needed a place to feel poured into and encouraged to grow spiritually. Ray of Hope does that and more. They encourage economic growth, community development, inclusivity of all backgrounds/orientations, youth and young adult engagement and a true understanding of the word beyond Sunday service alone. Not to mention, the choir director/choir/drummer are OFF THE CHAIN! From bible study that actually encourages me to be a better person to myself and loved ones, to volunteering to be a part of the various community driven efforts and events, this place is our new home. In just a few short months, they have blossomed in our hearts beyond just a church, they are family. Bottom line, my pastors are dope. Wherever you decide to go, peace & blessings!

Ray of Hope is the embodiment of what it means to love & accept others unconditionally. At this church, you will not only hear/feel the word of God but you will also learn, be challenged, and grow from the word. For those reasons are, precisely, why I love attending!

I love Ray of Hope! Everyone is welcome regardless of race, sex, gender, socioeconomic status, level of education, etc. Our family is loved & accepted there. The Ray is a TEACHING church. We are taught to read the scripture BEFORE and AFTER what is being quoted. We are taught to listen for the scriptures in gospel songs...Pastor Espinosa & Rev. Dr. Renita J.Weems are both humble & highly educated. They put a lot of time & energy into their sermons. As an educator, I appreciate that. Hate is not welcome in the form of stereotypical chuch "messiness." So, if you go to church for drama, gossip, & negative entertainment--this is not the church for you. There is NO PLACE like The Ray. We do church differently! Seeing for yourself will be one of the BEST decisions you ever make for you & your family!

I love this church! I kept a distance from church and church folk for over a decade. Now I found a church that not only accepts and loves ALL people, but backs up their calling to love biblically. There is not another church like it!
