Confirmed in the Affirming Church Directory as a safe place for minorities to pray and thrive in an amazing community. It’s the first church I’ve been to in 30 years focusing on the marginalized, such as women (especially women of color), black, LGBT+, and indigenous people. Rev. Tyler Sit is simply outstanding. Both online and physical services are available!

New City does such a great job at creating a community where truly everyone feels not only WELCOMED but AT HOME. New City centers marginalized voices in such a beautiful and genuine way. It's the only racially diverse church where I have felt that queer/BIPOC folks' voices matter as much as any other voices. I love how this community has been helping me walk towards a healthier theology that isn't built on oppressive ideas (especially ideas I learned growing up in the White Evangelical church). This community is not afraid of doubts or questions and isn't waiting for you to believe a certain thing before they embrace you wholeheartedly. I love this place so much and New City has such a beautiful impact on meeting the basic needs of the surrounding community too.

A beautiful community of faith that follows Jesus in centering marginalized voices, especially queer people of color. It's special to find a progressive church that also takes Jesus seriously, leaning into both internal, personal transformation and external societal transformation. This is truly a welcoming and inclusive congregation. Unique perspectives get presented each week through powerful sermons. The music is very lively and enjoyable as well. Overall a great environment to worship in and be yourself. Haven't experienced another church similar to this
