This is my home church and I stopped going for 2 1/2 years because I was upset with issues surrounding the larger church (specifically the Tribunal) 🙄. After some time away, I realized I missed the warmth and the people here. They are genuinely friendly and welcoming. This is a very diverse parish even though it is historically African American. There are several Filipino, African, Asian Pacific Islander, Hispanic, and Italian families who attend (probably some others that I missed). The parish has had several priests, but the one now is definitely filled with a love of God and people. The gospel choir is awesome and will sound like "home" if you have been to southern or ethnic parishes before. One thing that I like about this parish is most people dress nicely for mass and it is not as relaxed as most Las Vegas churches.

Nice church. Place of peace and joy. Come here for Sunday mass and was really welcoming and nice to join them to praise and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. And the priest is there an hour before mass to hear your confession and give you God’s pardon and forgiveness. Thanks Jesus!

Beautiful community, is one humble neighborhood in Vegas, but the people is nice and make you feel welcome at the church. Since the moment the mass starts , the father makes us give hands and say good morning to every neighbor, I am visitor from other state , but I feel welcome and like at home in this Catholic community. Not pretentious people, just down to earth people is what I love to hang around.

The church doors were closed upon arrival but the church is part of the West Las Vegas community. Quietly snuck away off of MLK Blvd, it's a charming area representing the best of the community.
