Wallace GutzmerI travel a lot. Always attend Mt. Olive when in the area...my son and daughter-in-law's home church. I can always count on hearing a strong Christ-centered message based on sound scripture. In addition, it is a friendly congregation, that makes even a visitor feel welcome. If one is interested, they also have a service in Spanish, reaching out to our brothers and sisters whose first language is Spanish...and who are trying to worship their Lord here in this country. God is blessing this congregation.
Christian FI tried going to several churches and never felt comfortable or that something felt off about the church. I lost my will to go because I could not find one that was decent or to my standards. Mount Olive is a fantastic church and it has helped renew my faith. The people here are so friendly and I have never felt unwanted or been made to feel uncomfortable by anyone. The Pastor is phenomenal, he is 100% there to help you and is a top notch person in general. There's also a bible study class after church that he teaches (and comes with coffee and food). He's even started doing a Spanish service as well. I truly cannot express how great this church is. I hope God gives them the grace and love of the people that they deserve so much and can expand beyond its limits.
Wallace GutzmerGreat people sharing the message of Jesus and forgiveness. UPDATE: I wanted to add to my message from over a year ago! In the last couple of years this church has grown so much under the leadership of our pastor and very dedicated group of leaders and members. It is a very friendly church and is welcoming to all people. There is even a second Sunday worship service in Spanish! The Law and the Gospel are both preached in this church, with an emphasis on the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you're looking for a church home, give this loving church a try.
Mark LewonczykI travel across town to attend Mt. Olive. The pastor is passionate about God's word, and love. The church is receptive to the Hispanic population, and those who know little or no english even have an entirely Spanish service, they can attend !! Social events abound, and I felt at home, quickly.
Shirley DerkeI have been a member of a couple of WELS Lutheran Churches (as I was born and raised in a WELS household) and I believe that Mt. Olive is the best! The people are very caring and friendly - willing to help you in any way. I would highly recommend you checking it out.
