All 3 stars are due to the great care I was given by Dr Vanterpool, when I was actually able to see her. They closed Dec 2021 for renovations and I was never notified of their reopening and no calls or emails I left were returned. I saw the Dr for a few months and their first appointment was at 9am, more often than not I was put in a massage chair and waited 15 min-1 hrs for the Dr to even get there. On at least one occasion I left because I needed to go to work. I'm sure the experience would have been much better if I was able to come midday. Dr Vanterpool herself was incredibly kind, attentive, and informative, but never knowing how long I was going to have to wait for my appointment (which I had 2-3x/week) was incredibly frustrating and then feeling like I was ghosted after their notice of closing due to renovations was just not a 5 star experience for me.

I have been seeing Dr. Vanterpool for a little under a month now and I have nothing but high praises to give. She is an amazing practitioner, who truly wants you to walk out feeling better and more connected to yourself. Although it did take a little time to initially get connected and have my first visit booked, it was worth the effort on my part in calling and waiting. Nia, who works the front desk is really kind and puts in the extra effort to work with your schedule and get you in as soon as possible, which is something I really appreciate. Another thing that I love about coming here is that Dr. Vanterpool will answer any questions you may have about what she's doing during your visit. She does a really good job at breaking down complex spinal/nerve functioning into simpler terms that leave me walking away feeling more knowledgable about my own body and how to care for it. Since starting to receive chiropractor care I have felt myself come back to me and I am so grateful. I look forward to continue receiving care at Chirokei and so should you!!

The hallmark of a great business is Customer Service. Chirokei is currently undergoing renovations but the business of Customer Service continues and is thieving. Dr. Vanderpool provided me two referrals to get treatment and not be delayed by the continuing work on the clinic. Thank you very much!!!!!

I just recently returned to Chirokei after being away fir nearly two years. In 2017-2018 they helped me heal from lower back issues and immobility and Dr. Vanterpool's care was excellent. I returned nearly two months ago with a shoulder issue and was a bit nervous due to the current threat of Covid-19. Even my doctor's office is still doing virtual check-ups. However I felt so safe returning to Dr. Vanterpool's and Dr.Liu's expanded facilities and their Covid-19 check-in protocol and cleaning protocols really put me at ease. I also love their scaled down approach and they're professionalism and gentle hands-on approach. Dr. Vanterpool is very thorough as always and Dr.Liu will take her time to explain to me the finer parts of my current injury as well as the various steps and procedures needed to help me heal. I am so glad they are here and especially glad that they are located in Anacostia. Much praise to this Black Woman owned and operated business and practice that is needed and appreciated.

I have been seeing Dr. Vanderpool and Dr. Liu for a year now and I can honestly say that they have been very helpful with my healing process. The office is clean and professional. They have a variety of equipment to address the areas that gives you the most problems. They also give you the tools you need to continue therapy at home! Consistency is key to great results!

Absolutely The Best!!! Keita has been taking care of my lower back when it bothers me for years now. It takes her no time to get the inflammation down and get me going again. She takes her time and cares if your getting better. She now has Alex with her who is great too. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!!

Wonderful experience...I have bad tension. I am pretty much a ball of tension. I hold a lot of tension in my neck. Being treated here helps so much with loosening my muscles and joints. My neck adjustment helps with headaches and tightness in my shoulder. Dr. V and Dr. Alex are GREAT!!!

My experience was transcendent! The staff really shows professionalism as well as a caring that is a rarity. I have had primarily lower to mid back issues for years. I’d be in discomfort I’d need to roll on a ball every single day. After 3 sessions that was finito, terminado, 完成的, klaar, I was done you hear me. Give it a try, highly recommended.

I was in so much pain 3 weeks ago and I went to another place. It relieved some of the pain and then I came across ChiroKei and when I tell you these ladies are AMAZING!!!!
