I came to Health First Chiropractic for post car accident care and for regular care. I have seen Dr. Aixa Santos and Dr. Michael Lenarz for chiropractic care and Nicole Tilson, LMT for craniosacral massage care. This is unlike any other chiropractic office I have experienced! For a while I struggled to find a chiropractor with a plan where I actually felt better and made progress. That all changed when I went to Health First. From the first appointment I could tell this place is different. Dr. Santos took over an hour to talk with me, learn all about my specific needs and explain how things would proceed. They also take measurements and other information down every visit to track progress. From that information gathered Dr. Santos created a few healing journey options for me to pick from and then we moved forward. One thing I appreciate about Dr. Santos is that no matter how busy she was, I always felt like there was time to talk about any concerns I had. I am so glad I decided to try Dr. Santos chiropractic treatment plan. I have now gone through her program twice with amazing success! Nicole Tilson, is the an amazing massage professional. She somehow is able to read my neck and determine what it needs. She not only can do neck work but she does amazing jaw/TMJD and headache/migrane work too. When I come into the office I'm typically cramping and stiff from the commute into the office. By the time I leave I feel so relaxed I could take a nap. The specialized massage really compliments the chiropractor adjustments so well, especially after my car accident. Sometimes the only relief from pain I would feel all week was from Nicole's amazing work! They have ample free parking in the buildings parking garage, including 3 specifically marked spots for customers. The interior is nice and clean, with a great bathroom. They offer free water, tea and coffee in the lobby. I love their online appointment booking website. You can schedule, cancel and move appointments around easily. They also offer text and email appointment reminders. If you are considering trying this chiropractor office I recommend calling in or checking out their social media. They seem to have regular events for the local community along with new patient specials.

I really liked that before starting any treatment Dr. Santos does an x-ray, and a lot of different tests , then the doctor analyzes the situation , explained me precisely what’s going on with my body and only after that sets the vertebrae. Everyone in this clinic is very attentive, kind, caring and good professional. The clinic is very cozy, the atmosphere is relaxed with great music. I've been seeing Dr. Santos now for a little over a month and I could not be happier! I'm impressed with how much she really cares about her patients. My health and wellbeing are clearly very important to her. She always takes the time to explain everything very carefully and then asks you if you understand. If you don't (which at one point I didn't) she then explains it a different way until you understand exactly what she is doing, how it works, and how it will help. On the day of my first adjustment, there was something terribly wrong with my neck and I couldn't turn my head without severe pain. After it was done and I idly turned my head to the left and NO PAIN! I've also been suffering from low back pain for over 15 years. After we didn't see improvement from working on just my neck, she did an adjustment on my back. AMAZING! It's made a huge difference and I am now able to stand and walk for much longer periods of time without pain. I know that in continuing to see her my health is only going to get better and better. I'm so excited!

I’ve been visiting Health First since February after experiencing neck, shoulder, and back problems resulting from a car crash. Dr. Santos conducted a thorough evaluation and convincingly explained her results and conclusions in uncomplicated terms. She designed a plan to address my issues which consisted primarily of chiropractic sessions with her and ligament therapy with Stephen Wadsworth. All of the staff at Health First are knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. Stephen Wadsworth, one of the Massage Therapists at Health First Chiropractic, does a technique called Manual Ligament Therapy. It's kind of a cross between massage and physical therapy. Stephen has changed my life! I was mostly disabled, not reliably able to walk half a mile. Now I hike and even go backpacking! The entire staff at Health First is friendly and patient. The office is clean and conveniently located. There's even a few parking spaces! On Capitol Hill, that's a big time and money saver.

I have been receiving chiropractic treatment from Dr Lenarz for an inner ear problem that I had struggled with for years . I was diagnosed with meniere’s disorder after ENT consultations and hearing tests , CT scans etc . I received the diagnosis but no treatment plan other than medications for vertigo . After living with debilitating vertigo I researched various options for treatment and read about the Blair technique. I made an appointment with Dr. Lenarz and after his assessment received adjustments that literally changed my life . I now require adjustments occasionally and have lived 5 years with no episodes of vertigo . Dr Lenarz is caring , professional and as I said previously he changed my life .

I've been to many different chiropractors over the years and have liked a few of them. But Dr. Lenarz is different! In a good way. He is very personable, compassionate, and really takes educating his patients seriously--as well as making them feel better. I truly believe he wants to make me feel better and is invested in my health and not just adjusting me regularly. Plus, the Blair Upper Cervical technique makes a lot of sense to me to bring about long-term health and not just pain relief! (After a couple weeks, I am already seeing positive shifts in some long-term issues.) Lastly, the staff and Dr. Lenarz are serious when they say they want everyone to be able to afford chiropractic care. If cost is a concern, please don't be afraid to bring it up with them. I think everyone should try Blair! And start with Health First.

I was with my previous chiro for over 20 years, when he retired he transferred his patients to Dr. Lenarz. I must admit that I was hesitant. But, regardless, I made an appointment to try this office out. I was impressed upon entering. The staff is attentive (they knew my name by my second appoitnment), the lobby is clean and comfortable, and Drs. Lenarz and Santos are wonderful. They both explain what they are doing as they go AND WHY. Dr. Lenarz is patient, kind, friendly, gentle, and is clearly a skilled practioner. I feel that he cares about me and my well being. Dr. Santos is a ray of sunshine. She is a wonderful provider. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, gentle, and empathetic. I must add that Stephen Wadsworth, Manual Ligament Therapist, is the constant in all this newness. He joined Health First when the aforementioned chiro closed shop. It truly would be an understatement to say he changed my life many years ago: I was being treated for a head and neck injury and by working with my ligaments to change how my muscles respond, he had me - off the prescribed drugs within four months of treatment. He is a magician. Truly! The combo of Lenarz/Santos/Wadsworth is worth its weight in gold. Indicated by the fact that I drive from North Seattle to Capital Hill because I believe that this is where I will get the best care. Highly recommend.

I experienced headaches for years (and took Advil daily). I would occasionally see my physical therapist for help and did this for years. It worked short-term but the headaches always returned. I was introduced to Health First Chiropractic several years ago and admit to being skeptical, not wanting to have my entire spine manipulated. However, once I learned about the Blair Technique - and that it is focused on the neck, with very specific and minor adjustments - I was willing to give chiropractic care a try. I went from being a skeptic to an advocate! My headaches have been gone for years and I no longer take a daily dose of Advil. I go in for occasional maintenance to confirm my alignment is still holding (similar to having my teeth cleaned every six months) and feel great! I came to see Dr. Lenarz at Health First Chiropractic in late January, 2016, at the Capitol Hill location. I had recently undergone extensive physical therapy, nerve conduction studies, and seen a number of specialists in an effort to determine the cause of pain and numbness in my right fingers, hand, and wrist. I had my doubts about chiropractic care, having never seen a chiropractor before and not knowing much about the science behind chiropractic. However, after nearly a dozen doctors, physical therapists, and specialists couldn't determine the cause of my symptoms, and with much prompting from my fiancé, I decided to see a chiropractor. Dr. Lenarz is extremely professional, kind, and courteous. On my first visit, he took multiple x-rays of my spine and spent lots of time explaining subluxation and how chiropractic care could alleviate my symptoms. After my first adjustment, the results were almost immediate--feeling returned to my fingers, and after seeing him for several months, I am nearly symptom-free. The front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating for me, especially Linnea. Health First Chiropractic accepts my insurance, and even after I'd used all of my insured visits, the per-visit price is reasonable and they even do advance-payment discounts. I like that they always have good quality tea available while I wait to see Dr. Lenarz, and the relaxation room is very relaxing. I would (and have) recommended Health First Chiropractic to many of my friends. If you're looking for a top-notch Blair chiropractor, Dr. Lenarz is excellent.

I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Lenarz and the entire staff here, including Dr. Santos when she has treated me on occasion. The service here is great, they consistently do tests/assessments to help you have more objective judgements of how you’re feeling and performing. While many chiropractors do “high velocity” work (think: professional back cracking so to speak), they focus more on subtle movements around the atlas (neck) that feels significantly safer and though slow, clearly Impactful. The office logistics are also very helpful, they can set you up with a google calendar to subscribe to so that your appointments are always up to date and available. In addition, there’s a parking lot nearby with a few free parking spots. My insurance provider unfortunately isn’t taken here (aetna) but they still bill it out to insurance to make it easy to keep a running record which not every DC will do. I will say, aetna tends to say the firm “overcharges” since they are out of network. It is expensive, no doubt, but I’d you’re able to afford it I think it’s worth the investment in your health.

I first went to Dr. Lenarz Sedro Woolley office 10 years ago for neck and shoulder pain. They helped me after a few appts. I started feeling shoulder pain again last month so I went back. I've always had a weird assumption that Chiropractic care would be an uncomfortable neck cracking experience. For my first Chiropractic experience though Dr. Mychal Beebe was a really great find. The Blair technique is quite gentle and she really takes the time to run through everything you should or might want to know about the process. The staff are superb in all regards. Everything related to insurance, scheduling or changes and questions was taken care of really quickly and in an accommodating way. So all around it's a really great place and experience!

First of all I will only for to a doctor of Chiropractic that does the Blair Upper Cervical Technique. Second, get the Xray! Dr. Lenarz has the latest and greatest technology at his fingertips and his Xray machine is incredible. I was going to a chiropractor for many years who was adjusting me incorrectly. So much that my body just went in that direction. Dr. Lenarz did the Xray saw immediately what was wrong and fixed me. It was he'll for the first month, I was in a lot of pain. In general, I have back problems, but I did indicate that I had heel pain that was actually preventing me from getting the exercise that I would like. Health First Chiropractic in Seattle and Marysville has truly changed my life. I've always been leery of chiropractic work as the stereotypical cracking and popping is unsettling and often becomes a life-long commitment. What Health First does is very different, and is specifically called Blair chiropractic. For about a year, I was struggling with headaches and migraines coming on twice a week causing me to often have to lay down at work or even go home for the day. My neck often felt like it could barely hold up my head. It was exhausting. Dr. Michael Lenarz at Health First Chiropractic Seattle is a godsend. My troubles started June 7, 2018 when I woke up too intense pain shooting down my left arm with tingling all over from the shoulder blade all the way down to the fingers at 4am in the morning. I hoped it would go away for the first week, even had a local chiropractor look at me and adjust me. I couldn’t sleep at night as lying down increased the pain level and lived on Norco(painkillers). After the first week I made an appointment with Dr. Lenarz even though it is an hour drive into Seattle. He examined me & took x-rays of my neck even though the pain was in my left arm & hand. I only say minimal improvement after the first 2 visits (Dr. Lenarz was out of the office for a week during this time). However on the 3rd adjustment is when the “magic” happened. It only feels like a little "bump" to the neck. But a few hours after that adjustment my pain levels that were constant had decreased by 80%. I actually slept in my bed that night for the first time in 3 straight weeks. Physical Therapy had been working on my left arm & hand to no avail. Thank you Dr. Lenarz for getting to the problem and not just treating the symptoms! After to an MRI, the report said “severe” narrowing of the left neural foramen. Basically that nerve to the left hand was cut off. Because of Dr Lenarz I DO NOT have to have surgery as the Orthopedic doctors suggested. My pain is 98% improved now. Upper Cervical Chiropractic has saved my life. I might not fully understand how it works, but Dr. Lenarz does. Thank you Health First Chiropractic Seattle.

Dr Lenarz, who I met through a Harborview... back surgeon. The medical surgeon recommended that I work with Dr Lenarz before considering surgery. I have had a bad back for the better part of a decade. Extreme pain was my daily experience and has completely ruined my active life. I have been going to Health First for almost 2 years now and always a great experience to go there. I feel better after going there. Dr. Beebe was wonderful for my initial care - she helped correcting my posture and the pains in my knees and back. She literally straightened me up! Dr. Lenarz has been wonderful since taking over the practice. He not only listen to what you said but why you said it. I once told him I have stiffness in my neck and shoulders because probably of sitting and staring at the computer all day long. He listened but refused to accept that as a reason for my condition. Dr. Lenarz did some adjustments to my body and I felt better after that. He’s that good (and has a cheerful personality too)! If you need to see a really good chiropractor, go see Dr. Lanarz at Health First! Oh, the staff there is super nice too!
