I originally came to the Halsey clinic to see Dr. Heather Krebsbach who has helped me manage multiple health issues. She is AMAZING and deserves every “Best Doctor” award she receives! The front desk staff are great—always helpful and pleasant. The primary reason I’m leaving this review however is to recognize Renee Fields. I started getting medicinal massages from her about a year ago to help ease my chronic pain from both a lower back injury and almost daily battles with headaches. I’ve had many different massage therapists over the years and I can easily say that Renee is THE BEST! On top of being a great LMT, she is also an amazing person! Very intuitive, compassionate and intelligent. I enjoy our conversations as much as the relief I get from our appointments. She offers massage packages that help make getting treatments more affordable! All in all, my experiences at Inner Gate have been great!

Five Stars for acupuncturist Elizabeth Bourgeois. Liz knows more about the workings of the human body than most of the medical doctors I have seen and she has an uncanny ability to ask questions, test a few points, and hone in on the exact cause of whatever happens to be paining my 50-year-old body at the time. The day before my first visit with Liz I'd been roller skating and did an accidental and involuntary split--kind of like James Brown, except I didn't GET UP! Anyway, my primary care provider was not very helpful told me I had a pulled muscle and sent me limping home. Liz, within moments of meeting me, identified exactly which muscle was injured and where. She knew exactly where to put the needles for immediate pain relief, and it's no exaggeration to say that I limped in and walked out. I continue to see Liz regularly to treat some chronic issues and the inevitable new pain of the month. The office staff at IGH&W are all super friendly and I 10/10 would recommend them. Especially Liz for acupuncture.

Sara Smith is your person if you have any acupuncture needs!! She’s very kind, attentive, and thorough. I have been receiving treatment due to chemo induced neuropathy, which was very painful and uncomfortable. This is now largely resolved. This is all the more impressive given that I’m still receiving chemotherapy treatment. Not only has Sara helped me with this, but other cancer related impacts, such as digestion and tightness in my shoulder area from radiation. I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say she can do it all! Can’t recommend her enough.

I have been in Inner Gate because of car accident on Jan, 2021. I had a back, shoulder, especially left arm and ankle pain when I initially get there. However after meeting Casey, Liz, Brad and Jerrod, I got so much better. Now I am not getting treatment anymore because I feel even better than before car accident! I got around 6 months treatment at Inner Gate. My left ankle had the worst pain and after few session with Liz (acupuncture) and Jerrod (chiropractic), the pain went away. I am trying to maintain this condition and I am able to do jogging again now. I am from Korea and acupuncture is famous and common in my country. I am pretty sure this spot has the best acupuncturist and chiropractor in town. I am super happy to find this place and I am going to visit here again when I need!

I love this place! As a college athlete I have many aches and pains on top of being stressed. I see Casey, he has always done a fantastic job taking care of me. He listens very well to what I have to say about those pains. Treatment is NEVER the same as the last time. Sometimes I get acupuncture only and sometimes I get cupping done along with acupuncture. If I ever have questions about herbs or stretching etc he is very easy to email and responds quickly. Inner Gate has always made me feel like I'm part of a family that really cares. I recommend all my friends and family every time they have issues. Places as high caliber as Inner Gate typically aren't cheap. Individuals who would benefit from treatment the most frequently can't afford it. At IG it's different. Their student rate is phenomenal. I believe the first session is $75 and the rest are $60 for the student rate. I wouldn't be able to afford treatment if they didn't have such an awesome deal. I have lived in four different states and have never found a place as high caliber and affordable as Inner Gate. Parking is easy and very close to my school.

I broke my collarbone four weeks ago and sought out to find the best acupuncture treatment in town to expedite healing. Four different acupuncture clinics and seven practitioners later I'm confident in saying Eric at Inner Gate acupuncture is the best (perhaps ever) I have been treated by. His needling is extremely accurate-- causing motor point contractions every visit (a good thing). Once finding Eric and Inner Gate I happily canceled the other clinic appointments. Beyond the efficacy of the treatments Eric always takes time with me before and after to make sure all my questions are answered. The front dest staff (Gale in particular) always makes sure I am taken care of upon check in and setting up follow up appointments. The clinic is conveniently located near highway 84 and has ample parking. The facility is new and very clean. As someone who has gone to acupuncture all of my adult life I can safely say Eric at Inner Gate is top notch. Fantastic care at a gorgeous new facility. I've already recommended the clinic to loved ones. Thanks Eric & Gale!

During my first visit/session he spent generous time getting to know me and the physical problem I was having. I just want to say that Jerrod Puckett is an amazing chiropractor. I was in a car accident in Sept. and had the worse pain when I went in and he had me up and running withing weeks. He is very friendly, has a very happy personality and I totally would have been friends with him outside of treatment (post Covid). If you're looking for a chiropractor, definitely check him out. He will not disappoint! I also want to add the Innergate as a whole is a pretty cool center and did a great job making sure everything was sanitized, my temp was taken at the door, and just made the whole environment feel welcoming.

As a martial arts instructor, I have put a lot of miles on my body, and whenever I’m dealing with a specific injury or just feeling banged up, I don’t hesitate to call and set an appointment. A true sanctuary for body work and healing! I have used Eric at Inner Gate at the Ankeny location for years. Awesome acupuncture services in a cozy, convenient location. There is plenty of lot parking and it's right off Halsey. This has been my first time finally having acupuncture done and it has proven to be extremely effective, and my acupuncturist is really kind and clear about what to expect. I highly recommend Inner Gate for anyone in need.

I had tried acupuncture once before a long time ago and it had no effect of any kind, I didn't feel anything even during the session. This time I was prescribed acupuncture to treat chronic pain from a car accident. This was the first thing that had helped reduce my pain since my car accident. I had tried chiropractor, massage, physical therapy, steroids, OTC pain meds and nothing reduced it even a little. Erik was awesome and was able to target the problem area right way. He communicated well with me of what to expect. Feeling my muscles slowly release while I lay on the table is a really interesting and relaxing feeling. I would really recommending going to Erik, he works at this location and the Ankeny location. If you have never tried acupuncture before I suggest you try it at least once or twice to see how your body responds to it. If you are like me, it could be the one thing you haven't tried that is the key to chronic pain relief!

I met Dr Puckett during my treatments for an MVA ( Moving Vehicle Accident). For weeks during treatment with acupuncture, massage therapy and osteopathic doctor I experienced subtle improvement. I decided to try chiropractic work as at this point, I was hoping for a quicker recovery. Full disclosure, my acupuncturist also works at Innergate Acupuncture. And knowing that he would be able to access my patient notes immediately was an impetus to booking a session. After my first appointment with Dr Puckett, my headaches that I was experiencing literally went away. Albeit, due to the injuries sustained from the accident, the headaches returned a few days later. However with my continued therapies with acupuncture and massage, I found that my body reacted much more positively with his adjustments rather than the Osteopath. This surprised me greatly. It has been a year since the MVA, I still see Dr Puckett on a maintenance level to help keep my spine aligned due to the type of work I am involved. I can now self adjust between appointments by doing gentle stretching which is something that has never happened before. My headaches are not ongoing any longer. They arise when I do something silly as in sleeping with my head in a not so recommended position or a body movement that is not good for an aging body. I highly recommend Dr Puckett for his knowledge, compassion, care and execution of adjustments. If you need this type of care, look no further. Try him once and you will be sold! And as a shout out to Innergate as well, I have had treatments from multiple acupuncturists there and I cannot say enough how much their front and back end staff care about their clients. I never feel rushed. You should definitely use all of their services.

Our 15 year-old (now 16) son is an international tournament level table tennis player who trains and competes in China and the US. He injured his back last December at the US Open and was unable to recover for over a half year despite traditional Western medicine, chiropractic, massage, personal training, a potpourri of anti-inflammatory & pain medications and physical therapy. Out of desperation and based on the recommendation of a friend, we finally tried Inner Gate Acupuncture. Erik correctly diagnosed the underlying issues and imbalances that were causing the symptoms of chronic back pain and developed a treatment plan that finally provided our son with relief. I came to Inner Gate after being recommended Sports Medicine Acupuncture to treat muscle pain and regain strength from a hip fracture I had in December from a car accident. Erik was amazing! He was patient, knowledgeable and skilled. As someone that works in western health care I was impressed by the integration of knowledge and skill sets and how effective the treatment was for immediate and eventually sustained pain relief and the steady regaining of my hip and low back strength to allowing me to return to my normally active lifestyle. Erik incorporated additional treatments such as heat, massage, cupping and gua sha into my sessions, which I found helpful. Inner Gate was able to bill the responsible party for the MVC and the office staff was helpful with getting my appointments booked and reminders sent. I couldn't recommend them more!

Ollie is my acupuncturist and has been for a number of years. I see him for a number of issues, migraines, allergies, peri menopause, and many more. Almost two years ago I was involved in a car accident that left me with moderate traumatic brain injury, concussion, and severe vision issues.
