This one might be a little long- I am currently living in Kansas City and I had an accident being there back in July. I went to every doctor possible (urgent cares, ERs, PT) and no one was able to help me out. I was in physical therapy for about 2 months and the pinching in my neck and my numbing finger were getting worse. I was desperate and decided to contact someone in Houston. They recommended me coming to Rock Sports & Spine Therapy. I have nothing, but great things to say about this place and the people there were extraordinary. First, Chelsea was extremely helpful in the process of me being able to come to Houston for a few weeks and work from home, she’s also got such a great personality. Vicente, what an awesome guy! He makes sure you are good at all times and made sure everything I was doing here worked for me. Tiffany, helped me out with rehabilitation- she’s awesome and makes working out so much fun! The chiropractor can be scary for those that have never gone, but Dr. Mike makes you feel very comfortable. If there’s an adjustment you’re not too sure about, he’ll explain the process of what he’s about to do and ease your mind. I rate this place 10/10 because in a little over 2 weeks I started to feel A LOT better than I ever did in these past couple months. I feel great now and I’m so glad I found this place. I like the fact they provide a mixture of chiro as well as physical therapy and manipulation of the body. The people are wonderful and they really care about their patients. I’m sad I have to go back to Kansas not only because I’m not going to be able to continue more treatments, but because they make you feel so much at home that you start to get attached to them. I was skeptical at first to visit this place to find relief for my lower back pain that I have had for 10+ years plus all the money I had spent in chiropractors, ER, and other places, I mean thousands of dollars wasted. I decided to give it a try and thank God I did. I am half way thorough my treatment and my pain is going away, I dare to say 60-70 percent gone. I started feeling better after my third visit. Dr. Mike has been treating me since they one and all I can say is Thank you Dr. Mike, your techniques are helping me feel like I am going back to my early 20's, No pain at all when I get up in the mornings, I can walk, do my daily work routines with ease, do a lot of things I couldn't do any more because of this lower back pain present at all times. The two young ladies at reception desk are so nice also, always there to help you out. Last but not least Vicente, Thank you Vicente for all you do and for helping me out as well. I can go on and on but you all know what I mean, this place is amazing. DO NOT hesitate to visit them if you are living with any chronic pain. I promise you, you will not regret.

I am thankful for these guys. The atmosphere is great and the staff are really nice. I always feel better after I get treatment. Sometimes I have to make a rehab appointment because I am a gymnast and get some minor injuries. When it's necessary, I also get some muscle care such as scraping or cupping to alleviate tightness and inflammation. I always look forward to my monthly appointments!

(That should tell you something) So far, everyone has been simultaneously professional and personable. From walking in on my very first day, Chelsea is always on it!! She makes it seem like you’re a regular and she’s known you for years, I thoroughly enjoy our conversations…may the force be with you Chelsea. I’ve been dealing with a shoulder impingement for a few years, external rotation was painful and range of motion was very limited. Initial visit Dr Mike and Vicente spent a good deal of time evaluating the issue and putting together a treatment plan over the course of a couple months. Only a few sessions into treatment and seeing big benefits, range of motion, less pain. Tiffany has been great with rehab exercises. Thank y’all for the help!

Great place for me and my family! My wife, kids, and I have been going to see Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Peyton, and Dr. Mike. They take care of our family's needs. Having 2 gymnast kids who train intensely requires expert treatment and adjustments. My wife and I are active Jiu-jitsu practitioners and instructors. In the same way, we have to maintain our bodies. Between cupping, scraping, and the physical therapeutic exercises we are given, we are well taken care of. They also have a nice staff!

This folks are game changers! Having trouble feeling good when exercising and just doing your every day activities? They have the skills and equipment to fix this! Had lots of leg and back issues, so much so, that I was having trouble exercising. I came to Dr. Kennedy with terrible sciatic pains and I could hardly walk. I had tried physiotherapy before, but that did not solve the problem and for months I was in pain. Dr. Kennedy understood the issue, made a plan and fixed my pain during some sessions. He methodically corrected and aligned my entire back with his chiropractic expertise and he also gave me very useful stretching exercises. A few weeks later I could walk again without pain. It solved a huge mobility problem I had been living with for several years. He has a great team around him. Great service!

This is the place to go for your chiropractic care and muscle maintenance. I train hard as a gymnast and appreciate my regular appointments to get adjusted and have my muscles and myofascial tissue treated with cupping or scraping. Rock Sports and Spine also uses electrical stimulation for problem areas and uses a percussing tool to help get rid of knots and really tight muscle areas which are pulling on the joints. I have been going to see them for a few years and it has been a key factor in helping me succeed in gymnastics. They are the best!

Rock Sports and Spine is life changing. I came in for hip bursitis and am now pain free. Dr. Kennedy and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. I've tried other Chiropractors over the years and nobody compares to the care and time that Rock Sports is giving to my back issues. I've suffered for many years with back pain and their program is working. I'm on a great plan and they try different methods to heal my problem each time I visit. I am confident that I will be pain free. From the first visit, I could tell that their methods were better. The stretches that they've taught me are great. Dr. Kennedy and his staff are great! Dr. Kennedy explains the treatment thoroughly, so you understand what to expect and how long you will likely need to come. His goal is to fix the immediate issue the first time, so you aren’t coming indefinitely and won’t have to come back for the same issue. It is important to follow his instructions and follow the treatment plan though. After a month of treatment for a bulged disc in my neck, I feel almost 100% back to normal without medication or surgery!

I had bad lower back and hip pain for about 4 years due to an ice hockey injury. I was either in a lot of pain or had just uncomfortable sensations in my leg and back. After completing my treatment here I am pain free and have bounced back extremely quick from re-injury. Definitely recommend and worth the time. Dr. Kennedy was very highly recommended to me by one of his former patients I know. By the time I first visited him ~2.5 months ago, the pain in my left shoulder became constant and was really interfering with my activities. He arranged for an XRay which showed the actual issue. He explained that only surgery (with its own set of risks, long recovery time, etc.) would actually correct the problem – to me surgery isn’t an option at this time. He also explained that what he could do via his treatment plan is to keep it from getting worse, with a good chance of putting an end to the constant dull pain. Having only 2 treatments left from his original treatment plan (at the time of this review), I can say that the constant pain is gone. My shoulder still hurts in certain more extreme positions (considered normal with my condition), but the general pain is gone. Really gone. Dr. Kennedy is an excellent doctor, and his staff is very professional and friendly. My appointments were always on time. Never had to wait.

My husband was having some lower back pain, as well as chest muscle pain that was making it difficult for him to function. It has been extremely frustrating since he is an avid practitioner of Jujutsu. He was looking for a sports chiropractor and stumbled across Rock Sports and Spine Therapy. There he met Dr. Bart Kennedy, who helped my husband by using several tools along with adjusting the spine, neck and extremities. It turned out there were slipped disc issues and several muscle trigger points causing the back pain, chest pain, and constant misalignment. I am happy to say that after all the treatments and adjustments, my husband is now completely pain free. Dr. Kennedy is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and determined to help. He listens carefully and genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Peyton Vickers was just recently brought on to the staff as a chiropractor as well. He had been mentored by Dr. Kennedy and does a phenomenal job as well! So much could also be said for Dr. Kennedy's dedicated staff. Alondra, Heidi, and Vicente assist Dr. Kennedy at the front desk and with some of the treatments. They go above and beyond to help manage everything, but with such optimism, kindness, and accommodation. They adjust very easily and keep things running smoothly I should add that now the whole family goes to Rock Sports & Spine Therapy! Practicing Jujutsu myself, I am always needing chiropractic maintenance. Our two kids are very active competitive gymnasts and Jujutsu practitioners. I've had lower back pain for several years due to the type of work i do which is in the oil industry construction. I have had to endure pain through out the years due to no health insurance but i can not go through life like this anymore , so as i was on fb just the other week i seen an ad from Rock Spine i clicked on the post & read the ad i couldn't resist passing up the offer of thirty seven dollar consultation so i registered my info made an appointment next day i went in got everything going the doctor seen me i told him my situation he was upfront with his diagnoses we made payment arrangements that day he started on my treatment i started to feel the difference in just 45 minutes im not saying i was fully cured but i felt much better. I'm now on my third session & im fifty percent pain free . Doctor Kennedy really knows what he is doing great bedside manner his staff are really knowledgeable & professional i highly recommended them.

My 15year old daughter had moderate scoliosis as a pre-adolescent and it has corrected mostly since her growth spurts. I recently had a fall that resulted in some neck X-rays which showed my neck was badly out of alignment. After researching a number chiropractors I decided to give Dr. Kennedy a call. He met with me and did an in person exam with TONS of questions. He’s very thorough — which I appreciate. He could tell just from feeling my neck that it wasn’t right. We re-did my X-rays (my original ones were done in Mexico) with several different views. In addition to my neck issues, I mentioned I have been having horrible Achilles pain for probably close to 2 years. I’ve gone to multiple other doctors to try to get it addressed and all that they would ever do is send me home with ibuprofen. (Insert eye roll) He examined my calves and ankles and immediately found the tightness and said he could help. From there he put together a plan to get everything corrected. I’ve only been to corrective two sessions with him so far and I have noticed a HUGE difference. Right now he’s starting with a bit more focus on my Achilles pain (since that is the most severe for me). I never thought a chiropractor could help with something like that! One thing that really impressed me about him is that he focuses on the joint as well as the soft tissue around it (muscles, ligaments, etc.). I had really given up on finding someone to help with this chronic issue and to see improvement after only two treatments is nothing short of incredible for me. I can’t wait to see how I feel as we progress with everything!!!

I've been going here for over a month now. I came in with a sprained ankle. Dr. Kennedy strongly advised me to get an X-ray as soon as possible and after I consented to do so he called a stand alone X-ray center and set me up with an appointment that day and it was very inexpensive relatively. I have been going since and received much improvement on my ankle. I am still waiting to get back to a full recovery, but I think that might be due to personal circumstances regarding my injury. He is very confident he can help many others with a variety of injuries and physiological issues as well, but he seems super confident in his ability to help injured ankles. Let me start by saying I'm a VERY skeptical person when it comes to chiropractors. I always feel like they are just trying to put a bandaid on the problem, they aren't there to really heal you - just temporary fixes, and/or they credit any and all illnesses are caused by subluxation of the spine (i.e. curing eczema and depression by cracking your back). That being said, Dr. Kennedy is an amazing chiropractor that does absolutely none of the above. He truly works to get you better by identifying the problem and reverse engineering it. Aside from Dr. Kennedy's friendly bedside manner, he is great at explaining what is going on with your body and what he's doing to try and alleviate the problem. I doubt I would be comfortable going anywhere else, just because the level of care is that great here! I highly recommend Dr. Kennedy.... even for those with medical backgrounds who are skeptical like me. And to put the cherry on top, the staff are absolutely wonderful!

I didn't know what it felt like to be pain free until after my first visit to a chiropractor! I started visiting Dr. Vickers at Rock Sport and Spine for standard wear and tear I was experiencing as I was training for the Houston Marathon. helped me resolve issues and pain that I had been ignoring for years. And then I badly twisted my ankle which changed everything. With that injury I had everyone telling me what to do, all of it conflicting advice (ice, don't ice, elevate, stay on it, stay off it, wrap, and my personal favorite "just ignore the pain"). Even doctor google sent me in a million directions for advice and had my head spinning. The question I got the most was "why see a Chiropractor for a sprained ankle, don't they just do backs?" The short answer to that is no, the longer answer is Heck NO! I feel that having the ability to speak with a Doctor that understands the musculature of my body and was there each step to guide me in my recovery was invaluable resource and greatly decreased my recovery time. In 2 months I went from not being able to see the bones in my ankle due to severe swelling and not being able to stand on my foot to now getting back to training for my next race. So many times in my life I just dealt with the pain and figured it would just go away on its own. Well, the older I get the more I see that the pain does not just go away and I need to take steps to allow my body to heal. This place is just surreal... in the most amazing way :) I came here Thursday of last week after a sleepless night crying from a neck sprain from poor sleeping posture. I actually just showed up with no appointment, I was in so much pain and was seeing by Dr. Kennedy within 2 hours or less. Heidi and Vicente made the wait so much more bearable, I actually managed to laugh quite a few times, though I could not turn my neck. Dr. Kennedy diagnosed me with vertebrae subluxation, basically 2 of my neck vertebrae were misaligned. Over 2 months ago I was dealing with a mixture of piriformis syndrome and sciatica triggered by misaligned vertebral discs on both sides of my spine, pinched nerves, and lower back stiffness. I grew up hearing a Chiropractor was a "quack doctor" . Let me say..." Making an appointment with Dr Kennedy and continueing with treatment has seriously changed my body for the improvement'. I am 67 years old. 1) I no longer take 2 Aleve daily. I have Scoliosis and my lower back pain has considerably lessoned. My muscles used to be so knotted. 2) I knew something also was going on with my neck. Admittedly, I was scared to have my neck cracked. Dr Kennedy very thoroughly explained the process and started out with a "soft" crack to show me it wasn't painful. After about 3 weeks I realized my Vertigo was gone. I have had Vertigo (when I lay down on my left side) For years. I was checked out by a specialist as well as having an MRI. Nothing was found to explain why. I always expected the Vertigo had something to do with my neck pain. I'm so happy my husband (who also is a patient with Dr Kennedy) talked me into trying one visit .
