The staff is knowledgeable and really takes the time to learn your needs and aligns your care goals to your individual needs. That part is great. Unlike prescribed medication where it feels more like a one size fits most approach. The actual adjustments are wonderful and get better each time. What I do not care for is that they do not allow you to pay as you go which doesn’t work well for everyone including me. You must sign a contract and be put on an automatic pay schedule. So, if you’re on a budget and money is tight and something unexpected come up, their auto payment could cause overdraw your account or at very least add unnecessary stress to your financial situation. I really hope to continue for a while, but that reason may be why I’m unable to continue after a certain point.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the uplifting atmosphere and encouragement from the staff at maxliving! I really appreciate that they take time to take x-rays and discuss the way spinal alignment is affecting our lives. I also appreciate their emphasis on education and patient ownership, and I love that they use and encourage exercises that help maintain spinal alignment between adjustments. My daughter’s and my alignment and energy have improved significantly over the past 2 months, and I’m looking forward to seeing further improvements!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Capital City and MaxLiving. Before our adjustment today, my 21-month old son and I walked in sneezing and with runny noses that wouldn't stop, and we both have been like that for 2 days. Update below: So, I really felt the need to find a new chiropractor; I happened to see an advertisement for MaxLiving and googled it; Checked out the reviews and was impressed. Today I had my first appt.. I walked in and heard Christian music playing, and I was overwhelmed with emotion and a sense that I was in the right place. The staff are so incredibly kind and really seem to know what they are doing. Today I just had evaluation of my spine and x-rays, and what they told me makes so much sense. They will start with adjustments on Monday; I will review on that experience later! Do you ever feel overwhelmed that God has you in the right place and you just get overwhelmed with emotion - that was me there today, the uncontrollable outpouring of emotion was embarrassing for me, but they were so kind about it. Update; It has been a little over a month and the results so far are amazing! It has been hard for me to lay on my side for very long because my hips would hurt; but that has improved greatly, and I want to say almost completely (depending on how long I've been on my feet in a day)! Also, I had a spot in my back that would hurt when I laid on my back, and that is totally gone (not something my previous chiropractor was able to accomplish)! Max Living in not only getting me back in alignment, but I love the fact that they offer so much information on other important aspects of your life! It is not more expensive than a regular chiropractor when broken down by visit, and they are dedicated to making sure they finish what they start. I absolutely love Max Living and all the Doctors there, and helpers are the sweetest people!

MaxLiving Chiropractor Columbia has been the most positive experience that one could have. From the time you open the door and get welcomed by Jodi, to the information given, all of the chiropractors and staff, the high energy, the assessments, the exercises and my gosh, the adjustments! I heard of MaxLiving from my son who received adjustments from playing sports. I went to an informational orientation and liked what I heard. Months later after going down a bit of a physical decline, I decided to check them out. By my 2nd adjustment I was already starting to feel better! They have tools that you can take home to help you get better and quality supplements which I love to nourish you back to optimum health. When I first got there, I was so hurt and in not so good physical shape. I needed help and needed to fast so that I could gain function to perform my normal activities. Walking long distances and stairs were becoming an issue for me let alone exercise, but after a few adjustments I was able to gain enough function to begin exercising and a fitness program, I completely changed my eating habits because they do teach you about nutrition, environment, etc and now I am completely off ALL medications. I am extremely grateful to have been blessed to be introduced to this facility and wonderful group of people. Everyone is so warm and professional and they are truly like family. If you truly want to have a quality experience that includes professionalism, friendliness, great atmosphere and get yourself back to whole health reasonably the MaxLiving is the place for you. Great place to get Adjusted. I got started not by accident but because I needed to get to the root of all my problems like my nerve, back and neck pain. I was so glad I was led to the right place.I was like finally a Dr. who could tell me what was causing my pain. Just a quick look at ME as a person so this review makes sense especially to anyone who feels like ME... All I ever heard of chiropractors was weird breaking of bones and crazy stretching machines, and of course it would hurt..I also thought you had to fall off a building or mangled in a crazy wreck to need one in the first place. Movies dont help the thought process on this profession either! Now...I dont know where they found this group of people; but when I say amazing from the time I walked in speaking with Mrs. Jodi with reception to the doctors. The staff is incredible. The atmosphere is amazing. I've never been to a doctor who genuinely wants to get down to the root cause of the issue and figure out what's going on instead of the "there's a pill for that" approach. Dr. Losby and her staff are just incredible. Before coming to them, I suffered from debilitating migraines every day for a year and a half and no doctor could tell me why - specialists of every color, doctors gallor, you name it I tried it - so I was put on a medication that didn't help a ton but gave me a handful of days of relief. I also had chronic kidney infections which also couldn't be figured out. I was given an antibiotic to take daily as preventative measures (which I didn't take because common sense says that's not a good idea), and some other issues with my reproductive issues that I was also put on a medication for. All of my health issues have been reversed, was off all meds in 6 months because my body no longer needed them to function and heal, no more migraines after 2 weeks, and I feel incredible. So thankful for this group of doctors and their staff. My life, and the way I view and manage my health have been impacted forever. Can't say enough good things about them.

I absolutely love this place! I couldn't walk without limping because of my hip. I started here beginning of September 2016 and feeling better by the end of September. October 1st I had a motorcycle accident and almost lost my leg. I hurt my hips again when I fell off the bike. I had to wear a walking boot which made my hips even worse. We have been patients here for 3 1/2 years. I was the first patient out of our family here with a herniated disc. I had been referred to a surgeon and they said they would do shots and surgery was probably necessary. At 28 that was the last thing I wanted to hear. I was referred to Capitol City Chiropractic by a friend. I went in and had my X-rays and then consultation. Within 3 weeks of treatment I was off my narcotic pain killers. We then had my husband evaluated and he started treatment. Shortly after that our 1 year old got a double ear infection. We went through 3 rounds of antibiotics with no change. So I started out by being invited by one of my co-workers, who is a client at their Lexington office, to their free class on toxins. The class was really informative. However, my only critic is that the information may be presented too fast for the lay-person or persons just hearing about it for the first time. I was already familiar with much of the information before hand so it was not difficult for me. Through this class I found out about their "dinner with the doc" events where you can attend a free dinner at Miyo's to hear about what chiropractic is and the philosophy of the Maximize Living brand. I must say that I never looked at chiropractic care in the way they presented it. As a B.S. Biology degree holder, the way they described chiropractic care seemed to make since. I was shocked, because I had never looked at or thought about chiropractic like that. The main thing I like is that a lot of there principles and the information they put out in their free community info classes are things and topics I am already interested in learning about. For instance their 5 principles are to maximize your #1 mind, through positive thoughts, #2 oxygenation, through exercise, #3 nutrition, through eating whole foods and limiting sugar, #4 toxins, through limiting you exposure to toxins & detoxing, & #5 maximize nerve supply, through chiropractic adjustment. I have received about 21 adjustments to date, and I am seeing some improvements. I notice that I am able to stand up taller, it is easier to hold my stomach muscles in, people have commented that I look like I have lost weight(I haven't I'm just standing taller which makes me look slimmer), & I am having more bile movements (hope this is not TMI) I will say that it is pricy. I think some insurance companies might cover it, but my type of health care doesn't. However, I have been dealing with chronic pain for a long time, and I was willing to invest in the possibility of living pain free. I would suggest that interested persons attend their free community classes to get a taste of what they are like, and attend the free dinner. Both of these events will give you a good introduction and first impression.

I cannot speak highly enough about Capital City Chiropractic. The best way to describe this operation (both locations as I've been to Lexington and Irmo) is a family that truly makes you feel cared for. They (and not just the doctors but the staff as well) genuinely want to see people get well and somehow seem to know every person's name that walks through their doors. I was a bit skeptical before I became a patient because I wasn't quite convinced that adjustments could solve some of my health issues, but my digestive improvements, reduced back pain, and much better sleep have convinced me that the stories I was hearing of people finally having breakthroughs in their health (ie. weight loss, being able to finally get pregnant, getting off medications etc.) are true. They also put on some cool events, healthy potlucks, and present on things like reducing toxins, better nutritional choices, how to exercise effectively, etc.. the way health care should really be done in every doctor's office. They will teach you how to understand health the way God designed it so that your body can heal on its own. Some people think chiro care is expensive, but any investment is going to cost upfront but be well worth it in the long run. Readjusting the spine back into place will obviously not happen overnight. And it can take years for spinal misalignment to begin to deteriorate your health, meanwhile putting a ton of pressure on your nervous system affecting your heart, thyroid, digestion. etc. I read a review that "they give out the same advice to everyone...." but that's because the basic fundamentals of health ARE the same for everyone..Take care of your spine, minimize toxicity, eat minimally processed foods, exercise, etc. I just really believe in what they do and know they genuinely care for people. Love CCC and so thankful for this group of people!
