Dr. Ray, his wife Parrish, and his therapists are warm, kind and genuine people. His office is relaxing and welcoming. My orthopedic surgeon recommended Dr. Ray for ongoing treatment for posture, flexibility and range of motion after neck surgery. Dr. Ray has been a vital part of my healing process. He is gentle, thorough, and attentive. I always feel amazing when I leave. I will definitely be a long-term patient!

Dr Ray and his wife Parrish run the most relaxing chiropractor practice. The practice is in an amazing space downtown and easy to get to! I have been seeing Dr Ray for a while now, and he helped keep me adjusted during a very difficult pregnancy, I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to do the job! He also has some amazing massage therapists who help during the week before or after you get adjusted. When you come into the office, it’s just a really calm space and you’ll definitely leave more aligned! I highly recommend this practice!

After my first visit, I had immediate relief for my acute problems. Which was actually a big deal to me! To not experience this nagging pain when I sat down for the first time in years. I wish I had gone to Dr. Ray sooner! For my more chronic issues, Dr. Ray came up with my treatment plan based on my X-rays and made sure I was comfortable with everything. Since it was my first time ever seeing a chiropractor, he made it a point to make sure I was both informed and comfortable with everything he did. I have been very impressed with Dr Ray's thoroughness from day one. Every adjustment is a little different, which is a good thing. He listens every visit for what is bothering you today and what has changed since last visit and will adjust that day's treatment plan. I've been to so many chiropractors over the years that never change what they do on every visit. It's been very refreshing knowing that we're not "leaving anything on the table" by not investigating each ache and pain. He's also very athletic-friendly which is surprisingly hard to find.

Where do I start? dr ray, parrish, justin, will, and emily are super nice and attentive. the facility is modern, clean and open. one feels instantly at home upon entering. while most people have problems with their lower back, i had discomfort with my neck and extremities- wrists, ankles. dr ray is a natural problem solver. he’s been a gift to my joints, and the LMTs have helped my neck ever so much. their location is another major attraction - five minutes from my work, and two minutes from hwy 31. such a winner! So first of all, I am not someone who usually writes reviews. However, I feel I must share my experience with Dr. Ray and Parrish at Motivity. It has been the most enlightening and motivating chiropractic care I have ever received .....from the moment I arrive to the time that I sadly have to leave. I was told to visit Motivity by a wonderful massage therapist who knew most of the chiropractors in town. Dr. Ray is knowledgeable, experienced, creative (ask about his Shakira move), calming, encouraging and caring. He does a VERY thorough exam on your first visit and tries to understand your concerns and makes a plan for your progress. He is gentle in his approach and you can just tell that he really wants to help people. The building and environment are full of natural light and great energy to encourage a pleasant experience as well. It doesn't hurt that Dr. Ray is extremely knowledgeable in homeopathic or alternative pain solutions and vitamins either. I am so impressed with he and his wife, Parrish that I had to write. What a wonderful find for chiropractic care in Birmingham. Thank you Dr. Ray!

I’ve never had a more positive experience with a medical professional than the one I had with Dr. Ray. I started having mobility problems in my wrist three years ago, and an orthopedist said that surgery might be necessary, despite not making a clear diagnosis.
