I wanted to have a great experience since all the reviews are so positive. My advice- check what apple charges for something before calling/coming in. I payed $120 pre-tax for something the Apple Store charges $70 for. The battery is non-apple so it won’t cooperate with my battery health. It seems to work ok so far, the fix took about 20 minutes. I should have done more research. I’m glad it went to a small business but having payed nearly twice as much for something doesn’t feel good.

Amazing service. I brought in my MacBook with water damage they repaired it with a day. Once they cleaned up the water residue and put it on charge it started working. They didn’t even charge me. Very friendly. I would recommend this place.

$189 labor for iPhone 12 pro max back glass replacement, not the cheapest but figured I would get a good quality fix with their laser machine. I am conflicted because the repair worked, staff was friendly, and the phone functionally is fine AFAIK, however, aesthetically the phone was left with some scratches on the metal edge and laser damage under the camera lens. Feels like a 3/5 experience for me. UPDATE (4/5 stars): partial refund accepted. Offer was to fix the camera lens for a wait or full refund in one month, or take the partial refund today. +1 star for owner working for a resolution.

Absolutely THE BEST phone repair shop in Chicago. I've brought my Samsung S8+ for screen replacement, after trying to have it fixed by 3 other people (who only messed it up even more). One of those other people repaired my screen with used screen full of ghosting and messed up fingertips sensor,, the other one installed new screen but messed up charging cables and made phone useless since it couldn't charge. I got lucky to find these guys. They saved me. Z was amazing, repair took no more than 10 minutes. Phone is now good as new. And the price was totally unbeatable. Called 5 other stores before coming across this one and all of them were asking 20-30% more. Thank you Z.

I brought in my iPhone X today to fix my screen that had gone completely green from water damage. I got a new internal screen and glass screen, along with a free glass protector, for a great deal. I can tell the colors and resolution are definitely a bit off from my original Apple screen, but it is a small price to pay for such a great job and price from DPF. I came in to repair damage to the charging port of my Samsung Galaxy S6. The estimated cost was a flat $55. This was incredibly cheaper than the estimated costs from other phone repair shops nearby, which ranged from $120-$220. One particular repair shop from SSF even recommended that I just buy a wireless charger instead.

The shop was quick. They fixed my phone in almost 30 minutes. The price was good. But the spareparts they use, I am not sure how good the quality was. I got a screen replacement for the iphone XS and the colors are looking not good from a side angle. Even tho I got the more expensive Oled screen.

Service was very very good! I had been at another repair shop that it would require an expensive to fix my iPhone 7 Plus front screen and battery.The DPF tech looked up the model and assured me it did not require such an expensive fix. Diagnosis of iPhone problem was quick and accurate. Cost was 1/3 of what the Apple store wanted. Terrific service. I would have been willing to pay more! Zee and Direct Phone Fix is amazing. My screen was broken and I contacted a number of places including the ones on Yelp. Zee was not only the first to respond but took the time to ask me exactly what needed to be repaired. Other places gave me a quote but changed the price, Zee did not and honored it. I've used Direct Phone Fix multiple times on my Google Pixel and my wife's iPhone. He's replaced broken screens, old batteries, and replaced the broken-back-glass on my phone. He's quick and affordable. For the broken-back-glass, his supplier was out of stock for the part, but he didn't mind me ordering the part myself and bringing it in for him to do the installation.

Great guys here. Started my own repair on an iPhone. Ran into issues on a stupid propriety security screw that Apple uses. I stripped a few screws because the bit I had was low quality. They removed the stripped screws for me and gave me a heads up on a higher quality bit. I was able to finish the job on my own and their recommended bit worked like a charm! Very helpful and accommodating. Go there for any repairs that you need!

Got my screen fixed in three business days! Wonderful service, very kind. I came back the same day because the new screen was popping up (because my phone has some dents), they reglued it down with a heavier duty adhesive. EDIT: So w/in 24hrs, the new LCD screen had bleed until it was black. I took it back and Z said he'd try again, but reinformed me that my phone was slightly bent, so it would probably happen again. Upon pick up, he told me it wasn't fixable, but gave me options. I could either buy one of his preowned phones with what I had already paid going towards the price or he'd give me a partial refund (paying for parts/labor). I went with the second option and he gave me the partial refund. While I'm sad to see my old phone go (I really loved my Moto Z2, sobs), Z was very accommodating and helpful and tried his best to give me options.

Valenti is the man. I was house sitting some pups in the area (I live further north) and my home screen button just stopped working all of a sudden. I had been having other problems with my phone prior to that one, but I didn't think it was worth it to take it in. Once the home screen button stopped working I knew I had to get it fixed right away. This was the first place I passed on the way to my house sitting gig so I stopped in an explained all my problems. I was referred by another repair shop to these guys after having my iPhone 6plus touch not working. My screen was working fine and the problem was the IC chip. I started to get some grey bars on top of my screen and also the touch stopped responding. They seem to have been the only locAl shop around the area that that work on actual chip repair on motherboards. The repair was successfully and now I have my iPhone working 100% again. What a oddly great experience. At first there was no hope. At&t denied me of the right to get a working phone because i was only 4 days past my current phones warranty. Which was no longer working correctly ie not calling or any audio.. Which for me was a huge deal as i work as a bicycle messenger via my phone. But here they did everything they could to fix the phone. But alas the phone was unfixable. At some point it did sound like it was going to explode but i had no fear because they had another plan. New phone. Even though they did not carry at&t products they unlocked a great phone which they discounted and even supplied me with a case for free. Wonderfuly genuine customer service will go to again when i figured out a new way to fudge this phone too. As i seem to be an expert on the fine art of breaking electronics. Love!
