Expectations are set pretty high when you call yourself The Best Sandwich Place. There's just enough variety on the menu including bowls and salads. Since the sandwiches are fresher than most, it's takes a tiny bit longer to make. But it's worth it. Large space inside with about a dozen small tables outside. Price is slightly above average, but so are there sandwiches. A sandwich with a combo of chips and soda will be about $15. But the best sandwich... that's just impossible.

Excellent! Something for everyone and a friendly staff. Took the kids into the city and of course they got hungry! Found this place on google and liked all the reviews. Hard to please kids all found sandwiches and I had the super lite salad. Salad was so big I couldn’t finish! The nice man behind the counter offered me a bag to take it to go! He was also very accommodating in getting cups of water for the kids. Don’t miss this place of you are in the McPherson square area for lunch or breakfast!

Definitely reflects on the inflated market prices seen within DC but the food essentially justifies it. The ingredients are fresh and it’s made right in front of you. I had the Steak & Herb and it was absolutely delicious. For sandwich places, you can tell a lot from the bread and man this sub roll definitely had no corners cut. 10/13 Update: These people work HARD. The owners are in here everyday in the kitchen line with their employees. If I had an issue with anything, they’ll fix it, no complaints. Just came in for a Spicy Hot Honey Chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Definitely my work lunch spot for years to come.

Sandwiches and salads are all excellent. Fresh ingredients and attention to detail. Prep service is great as well and the owners know regulars orders by heart. My favorite sandwich is the crispy chicken jack and my favorite salad is the coconut curry kale. You can make it a combo (add chips and drink) to anything for only a $1. Great value, great food!

I stopped here on a whim looking for lunch! The selection was impressive and I loved how many Korean style sandwiches they had as options. I ended up getting the Korean pork grilled cheese, which was really good! It sort of fell apart on me as I was eating it, but the spice level was spot on and the flavors were well balanced. The place was crowded but service was fast! I think I'd like to try some of their other sandwiches.

I can see why it would be a contender for the best sandwich place around. Line splits off into a section for sandwiches and a section for salads. You order from one person who then takes charge of our order, wherever in the kitchen that takes them. Good quality ingredients, well put together. Busy but worth it. I got the Rock Rose, which is an Italian but with some prosciutto instead of ham. Quite good, well balanced with oil vinegar and hot peppers. Sandwich profile pictured. Decently priced for DC.

Great sandwich place. Perhaps the best. Affordable and have a good selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. They also provide catering for businesses. The staff make the sandwich in front of you which is also nice! Tons of favorites here including the chipotle chicken sandwich which is very delicious.

Great food at very reasonable prices. All fresh ingredients, homemade sauces, spreads and jams. Excellent selection of meat as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Super nice staff. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

The sandwich options are wonderful--my personal favorite is the bacon grilled cheese, which features crushed kettle chips in the sandwich--and I know many people enjoy the salads and bowls. I've never been disappointed. The desserts are also excellent--cupcakes and brownies are *delicious*. Would highly recommend to everyone looking for breakfast or lunch around Farragut West.

The name should be The Best Damn Sandwich Place! The sandwiches are phenomenal. I tried a different sandwich a day for 2 weeks and couldn't find a bad sandwich. Best place in the area. Might be the best damn sandwich place in DC.

The BLAT was delicious! The servers and chefs are really hard workers and make sure your food is exactly up to your standards. Some might think it's busy, but it's not that crowded for being in the middle of a city :)

A coworker told me about the place, so I stepped in for lunch and I can't believe I've been missing out on this gem of a place! There are so many sandwiches to choose from and they're all made to order. Ended up getting the Korean Steak Melt and it was like a Korean BBQ in a sandwich! Will definitely go back again!

Great sandwich place! Was my go to before Covid, and was closed until recently. So glad they are back open! It is a bit pricey, but everything they make is fresh and delicious! They have a second location on I St, between 13th and 14th St, just as good as this local and I think a little less expensive. Highly recommended

Thoroughly enjoyed this place. A large selection of sandwiches, those I tasted were excellent. The restaurant serves breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches, salads and a couple of rice bowls. Definite Korean influence on a few items. The smell is great, service is quick and employees are friendly.

Like, how can a place just say it's the best sandwich place? Is there a scope for this, like "best on I Street NW between 11th and 19th"? My take would be that it is indeed the best sandwich place in this area, especially given the variety and price.

This is truly the best sandwich shop in DC. So many great sandwich options, consistently good quality, and even the salads are solid. I highly recommend the kalbi steak sandwich, it’s absolutely excellent. The smoked turkey bacon, bhan mi, and turkey reuben are also really good options.

Nice place. I enjoyed the variety of salad options. But was disappointed by the avocado. It had a very hard texture meaning it had not ripened. Otherwise, service was good. Nice location and there is ample public parking nearby. Decor good.

I came here before and sandwiches are the bomb. My first experience was excellent, great customer service but it wasnt until I ordered a salad I saw where it said to order here but I assumed the guy chopping up chicken can make sandwiches. BIG MISTAKE!!! He was rude wouldn't look at me well looked up first then kept going. It wasn't until I said Hi do I order from you he looked at me sarcastically and No go over there. Baby do u know how many people would give there arm to have a job. You don't like people or just people of color go back to your Spanish country where that's allowed!!😠😠😠Deuces✌✌✌✌👈

They have Great food, and fast service when they are crowded which is impressive and honestly their prices are pretty good when you compare to similar lunch places since, particularly for salads, they tend to give you more proteins and ingredients besides lettuce all of which is very fresh and high quality. They have a ton of specials menu items running all the time but their buffalo chicken cesar is excellent and their meatball hero is one of my favorites in the city.

If I forget to take my lunch, this is always my first choice. The chicken rice bowl is amazing as is the Portobello mushroom sandwich. The only thing I've had there that I didn't like was the Caprese, but I am not a fan of pesto so that's a personal preference!

I go to school just a few steps up from this place . I come here a lot on my break times . They have a very good menu with a variety of different things . They also have very delicious omelettes. I love the atmosphere and the workers are very nice . Also clean and nice and relaxed . Definitely give this place a try if your looking for a quick bite to eat .

It’s all in the name, the hot sandwiches are so good. They’ll even let you customize the order, plus the lunch special is a steal (canned soda and chips for $1). They need more locations with late night hours.

Downtown spot for sandwiches; makes a solid breakfast sandwich, which is oddly harder to find than one might believe in this office-infested part of town. Lunch is standard and there are better places nearby, but TBSP is here if you need it.

I looked up places near me and this place has really good reviews so I went in for breakfast and ordered a ham and bacon breakfast wraps and they were both the best wraps I’ve had. The interior is well decorated and I honestly want to go back to this place to choose from their wide variety of sandwiches
