Have you ever thought about what your last meal would be? I have, and I'm pretty confident it would be my usual (or anything really) from Mound City. I've been going here since 2010 and it's honestly one of the few places I keep coming back to and, more importantly, recommending to anyone in the Midtown area. The owner and her staff are amazing, and even though there's typically a line out the door the wait time isn't too bad and the quality is always awesome! If you can relate to Joey from Friends, that sandwiches are your favorite food, seriously drop by Mound City the next time you're in Midtown STL during the week. Your wallet and stomach will thank me!

I've been here twice so far and both sandwiches I got were great. This is one of those places where no matter what you order it'll be at least good if not great. As some others have said, give yourself 15 minutes to wait--it's just the owners and maybe one other person, but they hustle pretty hard and even with long lines I've never been there more than 15 minutes or so. The food is absolutely worth it, though!

Mound City serves huge sandwiches that are full of meat and other tasty goodies. The menu choices and combinations of ingredients make options seem limitless. Dining in is an option, but this is more of a takeaway place. If your lunch time is short or you're in a rush, you'll be in and out quickly.

The food is nice the service is nice the atmosphere I haven't really sat down there so I can say I think it's okay but the food is real good let me correct that and the lady that serves the food she makes the Great the best tuna sandwiches in the world 👍🏿the nachos are cool it's a really nice place😊

I stopped in here today for the 1st time. Conveniently located on Market Street, almost across from Harris Stowe college. Since it was my 1st stop, I decided to go with the best seller. It was called the Mound City Super Stack. I ordered 1/2 of a sandwich, and it came out huge. I was very glad I did not get the full size sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, and I will be back will be back (probably before the end of the week).

I eat here regularly for lunch and it's excellent every time. Best $7 you can spend for lunch on Market street. Make sure you have time to wait in line, but it's worth it

I use to eat this place daily when I worked at Harris Stowe State University. I really enjoyed the taco salad but all the sandwiches are good. If you go during the lunch hour don't let the long line fool you it moves fast but if you want to avoid the line id say get there before noon. I really miss this place if I still worked in the area id eat lunch there.

Mound City has a great selection of lunch items. If you go with a group of people everyone should be able to find something to eat. If you come in regularly they remember your dislikes on sandwiches and salads. Highly recommend this place.

Amazingly delicious sandwiches! Stopped here for a late lunch with family and we all loved it! The owner is super sweet and friendly and goes out of her way to make everyone feel special. Deffinitely worth the trip for a quick lunch!!

Consistently delicious and friendly. They always ask me if I want my usual. They have so many options but I don’t hesitate to order the same thing each time. It’s got great STL history decor, mostly sports. The customers look hard-working and the staff always look happy to serve them. Love coming here on my lunch break! Wonderful family owned sandwich shop in St. Louis. They have a large variety of options to choose from and I haven't tried anything there that wasn't fantastic. They have sandwiches, salads, nachos, chili, wraps and more. I do almost always get the same thing, the Chicken Pepperoni Parmesan sandwich with a little exta marinara sauce, but the few times I have chosen something different, it was still good. I really feel that they have high quality, fresh ingredients. They are certainly hard workers. The lady who takes care of walk in customers is always a pleasure to talk to and is very diligent. Even though they are usually super busy at lunch time, it has always been worth the wait. The wait has never been too bad for me, but I know that they also take orders over the phone, if you don't want to wait. So happy that such a great place is so close to where I work.

This is my quick go to for lunch. The farmhouse salad is the best and enough for two meals. They have plenty other options that are just as good. It's a small family run place. They are very friendly and get to know their customers which is nice.

I work within walking distance and never ever gave them a chance until today and boy was I missing out. I tried the Italian supreme with everything on it and I'm usually good about portion control but ended up downing the whole sandwich it was so good. Can't wait to work my way through the menu.

This place is simply the BEST! They know all their customers by first name and the portions are bogger than anywhere I know of! Yes it is comparible in price to some other QUALITY BIG NAME establishments but you get far more than what you pay for. All of my food is custom order to my likings at no extra cost and my only complaint was that Brittany was trying to fatten me up with all the meat and cheese she puts on my food.

I wrote the latter half of this review on my first visit. I'm not someone who only writes bad reviews. So today, about a week after my first visit, I came to meet my boyfriend for lunch again. His job site is right is around the corner so we can't beat the location. This time it was a totally different experience, in the best way possible:) the woman behind the counter was super friendly and acknowledged me as soon as I walked in as well as, I noticed, every other person who came in after me. The service was fast and the food was delicious. One of, if not the best sandwich I've had in stl. The fries were piping hot and they have my favorite chips EVER, French onion sun chips! I can't find them anywhere else in stl. Needless to say I will be back and because of the service decided to change my review from 3 stars to 5. They deserve it! Thanks for a great lunch experience!!!! Good food for a good price. Gross ranch though, I don't recommend it. Fast but not friendly, employees seem to either hate their job, or the clientele. Wouldn't hurt to smile occasionally to make the experience more enjoyable. If it's that hard to at least pretend you like your job you shouldn't be in customer service.

Amazing food, prices, and service. I needed somewhere quick to eat after class. I found this small shop right across the street from school and my first wrap was the fredbird wrap. Delicious!! If you’re looking for somewhere new to eat other the the typical stops and shops this is a must try.

Eh. First time customer. Waited about 25 minutes for my order. It actually only took about 5 minutes to make my sandwhich but they were definitely under staffed. No one said hello or even smiled the whole time. They dont have exhaust fans in the kitxhen and the whole dining area was filled with smoke and now i smell like grease..Sandwhich was pretty good though, ordered the Italian supreme half. And it was 5.55 total, not bad. Menu seemed pretty extensive.. all in all the food was good price was good but the experience was bad. 3 stars Updated the very next lunch day: Decided to come back a d try it again, like I said the food and price were good.. this time was a much better experience. They didn't seem very busy when i walked in. From the time I walked in to when I got my food was about 5 minutes. . The sandwhich actually tasted better this time, the service was perfect and the restaurant was cleaner also. After this experience I changed my review to 5 stars and I see how they have so many regulars!

All right sandwiches expect a long wait for a sandwich the last few times I have been there it takes them 30+minutes to serve like 3 or 4 people.Not worth the wait wont be going back again.the sandwiches are double the price of Tom Jon's which is right around the corner with 3 people waiting on everyone fast and fresh meats for half the price.unless you have at least 1 hour lunch break would not suggest this place.
