Great food and even better service. My friend who came with me didn't order any food but the cashier still got her chips. It was so sweet and nice! As a plus size person the chairs aren't that comfy but the benches aren't that bad.

Came looking for a nice sandwich shop while visiting Salt Lake. Came in mid-afternoon during the week and there was plenty of seating. It's the typical ordering of walking through the line, paying, giving you a number, and bringing the food to your table. The menu had a nice variety of sandwiches and salads that it was hard to choose. Luckily, the have the option of the sandwich and salad combination to try the best of both worlds. Ordered the Chicken Pesto, Do Gouda and Capreezy sandwiches with Maple-Apple-Bacon, Caesar, and Chicken-Berry-Oats salads. Everything is freshly made in the open kitchen. Everything came out within 10 minutes and looked great. Even though it was a half sandwich and half salad, the portions were generous. The sandwiches were stacked high full of fresh ingredients. I can't which sandwich or salad was my favorite as they were equally as good with their own unique taste. You can't go wrong with any sandwich or salad. The half sandwich and half salad was a great way to try both of them while still getting a large enough serving to enjoy. For a small dessert, grabbed a cookie and a marshmallow treat at the checkout. Both were simple desserts, but still very good. The staff working the ordering line and checkout were all nice and attentive. Good sandwich and salad place that serves everything fresh. Much better than the large chain sandwich shops.

Amazing food and service! Our volleyball team is in town for a tournament and they took such fabulous care of us! We ordered for 32 people and they did such a great job! After a long wait to visit & try this out... I'm glad to be here to graze. This sandwhich shop has it going on & provides local bike deliveries. The cool digs are warm & laid back, reminding one of a NYC style eatery or bistro. A lot of care has gone into the remodeling details. I ordered the Rueben with a side of "spicy tots" with house dipping sauce. The food is absolutely fantastic. Just so the readers know, this was the third stop seeking lunch today. The first stop closes thier kitchen 1/2 prior to closing thier doors & the second stop had people stacked up waiting for food. Here, you're right in & self seated while smells waft onto the table stoking ones appetite. Enjoy. In all fairness to the readers, I prefer the traditional taste of my Reuben to have sauerkraut instead of dyed pickled shredded cabbage. There's a big difference in taste & authenticity. Sandwiches were a bit smaller & more $$$ than other delis.

Great spot to get some lunch, they got a meal deal with a soup and a sandwich. The tomato soup is crazy good. Especially in the winter it’s a great spot. There is enough parking in front of the restaurant

Love this place! The interior is so much fun. Their circle seat is genius. The tables and chairs are so fun. And, of course, the sandwiches are amazing! Friendly staff round out the reasons this place deserves 5 stars! Just wish I lived closer!

Even Stevens is a phenomenal lunch/brunch restaurant! It's a little odd being next to a 7/11, but the interior is eclectic and pleasant. Their food is top notch quality, and it's pretty diverse for a sandwich place. I have had quite an assortment of items from the menu, and I haven't been disappointed. They are also a charitable organization, and the staff are extremely friendly. 10/10 if you've read this far, you should go here. (Pro tip: students can get coffee here!)

A very delicious place downtown SLC. Came her for lunch and the atmosphere is very comfortable and casual. Great social setting for semi-large groups or some one on one. The food is light and fantastic, portions are just right, the price is a little higher but still affordable. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Even Stevens has an eclectic selection of sandwiches, most of which you won't find anywhere else. Consequently, if you like their food, you'll keep coming back because it difficult to find something similar elsewhere. Alternatively, if you like middle of the road food, you may have a hard time finding something you like here. They have above average quality, average prices, and longer than average wait times. Weirdly, napkins at this location are kept behind the counter and available only upon request.

I went here for lunch with my family on a Sunday, these were my thoughts. Pros - Good value for quality of food - Good selection of items on the menu (had a separate kids menu) - Foods ordered taste good and came out in a timely fashion - Fun and open interior that plays to the SLC food scene - Good for groups and older families - Clean tables and floor - Had accessible wifi Cons - Small / limited parking spots in lot - Few discrepancies with the order placed - Difficult process to get my receipt - Minimal staff-to-guest interaction - Limited soda selection, only Coke products - Not the best place to bring small children - Bathrooms could have used some tidying My Order - Pot Roast Dip / A nice sandwich that you could tell the dip didn't come from the beef used and the jalapeno jelly adds a nice contrasting sweet to the savoriness of the set up. - The Reuben / Pretty basic Reuben sandwich, the kraut could use more flavor / "krautiness". - Shishito Peppers / Nicely roasted shishito peppers that had something odd sprinkled on it, flavorless and didn't add saltiness factor, with a cup of mayo passing as aioli covered with sriracha sauce. - Kids Grilled Cheese Sandwich / A simple grilled cheese sandwich Overall The interior of the location and being open on Sundays would probably be the reason why I would return. The food and service were okay, however nothing to be praised over. I would recommend this location if you need a quick bite and want to dine at their first location.

This place is TASTY, trendy and has a good cause. The inside is so comfortable and well decorated. Staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the different sandwich options (I am from out of town and asked lots of questions) I had their version of a Cuban and it was probably the best sandwich I have ever had. Eat to give. What an amazing concept and cool business. Keep it up. Highly recommend if in the Salt Lake City area!

The Do Gouda sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve ever had, without a doubt. It was the perfect blend between savory and sweet! I can’t wait to go back and have another! The inside was also decorated adorably and was very clean. Overall a fantastic company with a great mission. Highly recommend

Very tasty healthy artisan sandwiches. Hip vibe. You can get a generously portioned salad on the side instead of chips which to me is a huge plus. They also have a gluten free bread option. One of their main sandwiches is vegan and one is vegetarian. The meat options are also amazing- steak, wild salmon, brisket among others. Some of them are served hot which is 👌 Comfortable social atmosphere. Local Utah chain. Purchases go towards local nonprofit organizations. Tv with sports on. Small parking lot outside.

Every sandwich purchased = a sandwich donated to the hungry. Do Gouda roast beef is amazing. Probably one of if the most responsive businesses in the community to the concerns of the community. Even Stevens does it's best to listen to it's customers on an individual and community wide basis.

Phenomenal sandwich shop with a cause in Salt Lake. I have had various meals and they never disappoint! Even Stevens consistently make great food. Sunday Brunch is great as well! Protip: Be very careful where you park, you can get ticketed/booted very easily at this location if you aren't parked in the right spot.

I went to Steven's & Steven's in LOUISVILLE! NOT Even Stevens in UT...😔 I love good bread 🍞 and the bread here is Sooo good!!! I love it!!! Visited this place for the 1st time on Thursday! Spent a few minutes to find what I want on the menu just to realize later - it doesn't matter. Everything on there tastes fantastic! I had the Turkey Day upgraded with Saucy Tots. The sandwich was good but the Tots were gross. I think they were yesterday's left over tots reheated and served today. They were stale and dry. Several people tried them and said they were gross. If you order Tots make sure you get fresh ones.

Not bad. Great vegan option, the New Morrissey. The "char" on the shell was chrispy and a pleasure. Withing walking distance of city center. There is no gender specific restrooms. Just go in and lock the door. They were spotless but it is early in the day.

If you like a little pizzazz to your grilled cheese. Try theirs. It had has bit of jalapeno. Not too much just enough to give it a good flavor. Pair it with their tomato basil soup for a fantastic lunch. The people are also great!!!

We ordered lunches for our Teacher Appreciation Week and it was a large order! The order was ready even when we ordered the evening before. It had been the manager's day off but when we called the next morning to confirm the order she was on top of it and very kind. She worked alongside her staff to get the lunches ready and it all looked wonderful, not one mistake made in the lunches. We appreciated the fast service and her working with us as we have a tight time frame when our teachers can have a lunch break and it starts a lot earlier than regular lunchtime (depending on each class). Our teachers LOVED the lunch, and the various selections; and at the end of the day it was all gone! (This is a difficult time for all and it is hard to find good employees, as it is evident by the understaffing in many take-out/dine-in places around the city, but that doesn't stop Even Stevens' manager from doing her best and providing great customer service. Even when things might not seem to be going well, she makes sure to communicate, explain, find ways to make it better. We truly appreciate that! She's reliable, courteous and knows what it takes to run a busy place and to make customers feel that she cares about their needs).

My husband and I just left the U of U hospital exhausted and hungry. He was recommended Even Steven's by former co-workers so we decided to give it a try. I had the breakfast burrito with fresh salsa. It was so good. My husband had the breakfast sandwich. His only regret is that he finished it. He loved it. We highly recommend them.

Really disappointed the last two visits. Both times I ordered ahead, soup and a sandwich. On the website there are several soups to choose from. When I went to pick up my orders there was only one soup available, one that I don't care for. The food is great, love the party tots, but will no longer order food ahead because I never know what really is available.

You know how the pie pizzeria is the perfect place for some chill hangout vibes for dinner well the atmosphere at even stevens is the perfect chill hangout vibe for lunch. It screams college hangout through it's walls it's food names and quality. Amazing quality and quantity for not too much. As well it doesn't make you feel rushed or judged. We went here because of the awesome reviews and were pretty disappointed. To start, it's kind of pricey for what you get, it wouldn't have been a problem if it was awesome food. The party tots were not great and had conflicting flavors- and also just make your tots soggy. The bread on the kids meal sandwich was so hard my daughter had a hard time eating it. As for the sandwiches, they were just average. If you're looking for incredible sandwiches and salads, go to Cubby's...

Sandwiches take a little while to make, but they're worth the wait for both quality and quantity (the sandwiches are huge!). The full sandwiches can be a little pricey, but like I said, they're large and I think worth the price. A nice bonus, they serve bottled beer. An even nicer bonus, their charitable work. One of my hacks is ordering off the kids menu, still delicious and more reasonable price wise.

In town for the day, stumbled upon this gem. Great sandwiches, fantastic beer cheese and pretzel bread (so good). The vibe is super cool, too. It's like warm, industrial, cozy, rustic...all at once. Very inviting. Nice local beer selection, and "chewable" ice...a new spin on the old crushed ice I love so much. I'll go back, for sure.

We went for a late breakfast. We had the breakfast sandwich (with tots) and a breakfast burrito. The burrito was average, but came with a fire roasted sauce that was perfect for dipping the tots. The sandwich was one of the best brekkie sammies I've ever had, the bun was perfectly toasted and the special sauce made it next level. Love that they had Slug Mag at the front door, and the graffiti art inside and out was delightful.

I always love coming here. The atmosphere is fun, the food is delicious and affordable, and I love that they donate a sandwich to a non-profit when I buy a sandwich. It is really a great company and the people they've hired at this location are fun to talk to while they make your order. I also really love the mac and cheese. It's a little known delightful menu item that I don't think is promoted enough (due to it being more of a sandwich shop than a mac and cheese shop). Love these guys!

Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I had the "Do Gouda" and I'd go back just for that. The side salad was great - just the right size and everything tasted fresh. Plus they're doing something good for the community, so even though it's a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it. The wait wasn't too bad, but I was also there around 8 pm, so definitely not during peak times.

Great sandwiches at an eclectic location. Located next to 7-11 you are amazed at the decor when you enter the does. Nice, easy to understand menu and delicious sandwiches. The da Gouda was awesome and the side salad fresh and properly dressed. Highly recommend stopping by when you are in the area.

The food is good and unique, and the atmosphere is really nice. However, when we visited we noticed that the sandwich makers, all bearded men, had no beard nets. Lo and behold, when I bit into my sandwich, there was a big black coarse beard hair sticking out. On the first bite! Who knows how many more were in there? They handled it well and gave me a refund but the bearded dudes really need beard nets!

I primarily go here because it is close to my office, but very delicious sandwiches. Not a wide range on their menu, but it is tasty. The Goat Getter salad is one of the best. The atmosphere of the downtown location is excellent, with a friendly staff and a clean eating environment. Highly recommended, although it gets quite busy from about 12 to 1 during the lunch rush.

One of the best sandwich places I've been to. Also just had their breakfast burritos for the time and they're equally as good! Do Gouda is heaven. Only sandwich place worth going to. One word of advice: come up with an alternate dressing for the side salad that's not as tangy. Don't love the current one.

This place is amazing in many ways. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and before it was brought to my table, I had an emergency to run. I told them I had to leave but would be back in 20 min. Came back and they saved my sandwich. Was a bit cold and without question or hesitation, they remade it for me! Sandwich was super tasty on top of the fantastic service and people working here!!

Met a Co-worker here for lunch and was not disappointed. The food is awesome, didn't have to wait long, large open seating area that is very comfortable, and if the place really contributes a sandwich for every sandwich sold, you feel good ordering from here too. Great place for a quick delicious lunch with a group or on your own.

Cool vibe. Amazing burrito tortilla but it was too spicy for my taste. First batch of endless French toast took a long time and then was cold and soggy. Second batch was much better. They also had live music for Sunday brunch. Which was a drummer and a saxophone player and it was awful. Really wanted to love the place but it wasn't a great experience. May try again to get a sandwich on a day without the awful music.

Today was my first experience with Even Stevens at their new Draper location. My ordering experience was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and fun. The prices are comparable to other sandwich shops like this - I paid $8.95 for the Do Gouda sandwich, which came with chips and a pickle spear. I was disappointed with my sandwich. The first thing I noticed, was how spicy the sandwich was. It tasted very peppery to me... I couldn't tell if the roast beef was covered in pepper or if the "sweet" onion marmalade they put on it was just so spicy that it overpowered the whole flavor of the sandwich. Don't get me wrong - I like a little spice, but only when it complements the flavor of the sandwich. This was overpowering and I could hardly taste the flavor of anything else, including the roast beef or the Gouda.. And for a sandwich with "Gouda" in it's name, I thought there would be more cheese on it. The cheese was all gathered in one small section of the sandwich, so I only got a small taste of it toward the crust. Overall, I'd say this place is OK. The service I received was fantastic, and maybe they have better things on their menu, but my experience today was just so much pepper. I will probably try going back one more time and see if I can make a better selection.

I went once before and had a good breakfast burrito (Undergrad). But then I went for a second time and had a so-so experience. The avocado in the burrito was not ripe, so I had to take it out of the burrito. Also, one of the employees was having a weird conversation on the phone that felt a bit unprofessional. The tater tots looked great, I would get an order of them if I return.

Great deli sandwiches, soups, and other items, lots of space for large groups, and a trendy atmosphere make this a destination for lunch or dinner. Friendly and quick staff make wait times minimal, even during rush periods. Careful parking, lot is small and need to share with the convenience store next door. Best to park across the street at Big Lots and make the short walk over. It's worth it.

I used their online ordering, so I didn't have to wait in line. I was nice and easy. I was coming down from a doctor's appointment at the UofU Hospital. I never knew about this place. I had a berry and granola, chicken salad and I absolutely loved. I got my hubby a Salmon Sandwich and he loved that too. Next time I am going to try the Salmon Sandwich. Thank you for the wonderful food!

I've been to this Even Stevens on several occasions and always have a stellar experience. The food (sandwiches mostly) is freshly sourced and very flavorful. I have gotten most of their options including the vegetarian / vegan sandwiches and I think you will be pretty impressed with their own spin on some classics. The salad is great, beer is cheap, and ambiance is pretty nice. It can be really busy at lunch time, but they move the line pretty quick.

The sandwiches here are not bad, pretty much average. But overpriced in my opinion. They do a good mission statement and give a sandwich to a good cause for every one that you buy. They do have vegan and gluten free options as well.

I have to edit my previous 5 star review downwards. I've been to this location a few dozen times, but unfortunately the quality has started to go down and the prices have gone up 15-20%+. My last visit multiple items were cold/stale as if they had been sitting out all day. Previously I'd pay about $8 and now it's up to $11 for the same sandwich.

Service can be slow during peak hours for an order-at-the-counter place, but the delicious sandwiches and beer pairings are well worth the wait. There is live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and during Sunday brunch specials as well. One really cool thing about Even Stevens is their community partnership with many local agencies. Overall, it's a fun place for a yummy bite and great atmosphere.

Overpriced sandwiches that don't even taste great. It's a cool place to hangout with friends but surely not worth your money. Food ranges from okay to bad. Maybe there are some items on the menu that taste fine, but I haven't heard any great reviews yet. Food portions are big though, so they aren't stingy with anything.

Love, love, love this place! I had the breakfast sandwich and it was so delicious. My children had the stuffed french toast and they did NOT skimp on anything! Lots of Nutella, maple syrup (real) and very attentive and friendly staff. The lunch menu was incredible and after trying the Do Gouda sandwich with an ice cold IPA, I was in awe. Delicious! The prices are reasonable and I love, love, love the philosophy. This is my new go to place!

Walking in there is cool art work, probably local artist. I like the feel here, relaxed, no rush enjoy an amazing warm sandwich. Tried salmon BLT, chicken pesto and hummazing vegan, all of them were good. The chicken pesto had warm bread with pesto sauce and yummy chicken and greens. My favorite was the salmon blt, arugula, bacon and salmon cooked very nicely and the portion was nice and filling. We got a free cookie from check in. They know how to make a good sandwich. Also, nice staff and service

LOVE isn't a strong enough word for this place! It's amazeballs! Best sandwiches in town! I have yet to have one that isn't incredible. Even their water is good. We also love their side of warm peppers and I seriously could drink the sauce. Great ambiance. Parking can be a pain, but it's close to downtown so it's wonderful that it's free. Get the salad or chips as a side. My kids crave their Mac N' cheese. Breakfast is super tasty too. I like that they have GF options available. Go for a Friday lunch. It makes it feel like you're starting the weekend early when you have great live music and sensational food. This place is usually super busy, finding a seat can be tricky with a small group and it's not a secret why (it's that good) so if you want to avoid the crowds go to another place, but you'll be sad you did because it's so good. Also who doesn't feel good after a generous portion of lunch when the restaurant actually donates another sandwich (to various local charities) for each one you buy, you can see the tally increase as purchases are made. So go. I promise it's worth the wait.

It was the perfect combo of fresh, filling and hearty without being heavy and greasy like many other breakfast burritos out there. Walking in , it grabs your attention. The place is large with enough seating to accommodate any lunch time rush. I personally love paint. One wall has a full wall grafity style family with SLC in the background. What made me feel at home was the opposite corner they had peddle bikes and insulated carrier's for delivery. A more personal touch. The food, well in any City I'm in if there's a Even stevens that's where I'll be. A sandwich is just a sandwich. Not so much. There sandwiches are on point quality taste perfectly filling and the service is on point. I enjoy my lunch when I'm there. Thanks Even Stevens. Lunch is served.

Awesome local sandwich shop. They have high grade product and a really well-designed facility with great decorations. The staff have fun and are truly dedicated, and last time I was there they had live music. Two guys playing the blues! It was excellent... on top of all that, they are heavily involved in a charity. The name stands for the fact that they supposedly give one sandwich to charity for everyone they sell. I did not investigate the validity of that claim, but I've heard it's legit.

Best place in town by far for any type of sandwiches! If you are visiting Seattle or in the UW area you have to make it out to this place to try for sure! Loved it!!!!

Get yummy sandwiches and help the community at the same time. For every sandwich you buy, one is given to those who need a meal. How refreshing to find a business that puts people before profit! The employees are a lively and happy bunch. They always have a good spirit about them. They are clearly loving where they work! Parking is tough in the lot during peak hours, but there's free street parking nearby if you can manage a 2 or 3 minute walk.

Great sandwiches, but wait times are a joke. I've tried 6 things on their menu and all have been great. Be warned though, their ordering/paying process is a joke and, if you go any time between 11-1:30, you might as well expect to be there the same length of time you'd be at a normal sit-down restaurant. I get that it's popular, but a 20 minute wait (at 1:30) just to order and another 15 to get your sandwich is absolutely ridiculous.

Great sandwiches. They've stopped their donation of a sandwich with each sandwich purchase temporarily but the food it's still good and decently priced. If you're going to the downtown salt lake location it is very busy during lunch and the parking lot is almost always full

I enjoy their sandwiches and breakfast burrito immensely. I like the fact that they use their business to help homeless in the community as well. My only reason for deducting a star is the wait times can sometimes be unbearable. Its a very popular location but even if I get it to go or before the rush, it seems there's always a ton of orders ahead of me and I have to wait. The time-frame's I've been quoted as well are rarely accurate. Still, I will be back. I recommend against going during "open-mic" events because you get some crude people.

Hands down one of my favorite places in the Salt Lake valley. Their food is very fresh and tastes gourmet, but really doesnt cost that much. The atmosphere is pretty casual. I love that you pay upfront so when you are done, you can just head out. The staff is always very informative, very helpful and incredibly fun to talk to and joke around with. Lots of clearly marked parking with an easily accessed lot on a not too busy intersection.. and it's not 2 minutes from my my apartment haha I really do love this place though.

We enjoyed the quality of the food, as we have several times in the past. However, this time the service (for carryout) was extremely disappointing. We came when the dining room had very few people and ordered quickly. The food came 27 minutes later, after several reminders from me. A number of people who came in after me were served before we were (and I am not including phone orders, since we do not know when those orders were placed). This experience will make me hesitate to return.

Do not be fooled like I was, Shia LaBeouf DOES NOT work here. I was really looking forward to meeting my favorite characters from the early 2000's Disney channel hit show, Even Stevens. Especially Louis Stevens and Beans. Beans is just so funny. He's so obsessed with bacon and let's be real, he really is quite the trouble maker. On the upside, Ren was also not there and let's be real, she's kind of a smart aleck. So I guess it wasn't all bad that the family wasn't home when I came in for a nice pulled pork sammy. This sandwich shop is what SLC has been missing. It's reminiscent of the west coast sandwich spots I grew up with in San Francisco, LA, and San Diego. Their tastes are spot on, and have a unique spin on every dish. I've had the Turkey Day and the Sprang Chicken. Both were great, but I especially loved the Turkey Day which came with an awesome sweet and spicy cranberry jalapeno jam on it. These sandwiches aren't overloaded or gargantuan, but rather are made with excellent flavors and healthy ingredients. Their restaurant's vibe is a clean laid-back, light-hearted, and fun experience. I can't recommend this place enough.

I've been traveling all the way from New York and I love it! I went here with 6 other people ages 18 to 60 and it was a great experience. It was very clean and lively. The food was fresh and so so tasty and the staff was very friendly. Looking online to the "Cause" page made going to the lovely resturant even more worth it. This place does good in the kitchen and in the community!

Phenomenal sandwiches. I enjoyed the Capreezi (spelling?) and was properly impressed by their service. It has a unique "hipster" kind of feel (if you want to label it that way) with live music on Thursday and Friday evenings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in search of a good sandwich.

I had the Rueben which was pretty good. My sister got the Do Gouda which was unique and tasty. Sandwiches are about $10 which was reasonable bc it came with a pretty big side salad and pickle. We also ordered a side of tots. Apparently, the hipster at the register didnt hear us but he wasnt really paying attention either and had zero personality. When we got our food we asked about our tots and instead of apologizing and fixing the situation she printed out our receipt and gave it to me as if we were trying to pull a fast one. Whatever happened to customer service? What she should have done was apologize and got us our tots. The guy making the sandwiches was really helpful when I asked which was his favorite. I also felt rushed when ordering but all in all the food was pretty good! The employees at the register need some work on being a little more friendly and hospitable.

Solid experience first time. We loved the roast beef dip. The Reuben was tasty but the corned beef was seriously 50% fat. We came back for lunch today and they were out of baguette and jalapeno jelly (the two things that make the roast beef dip so good.) How are you out of the thing you sell? We tried other sandwiches. They were both good but not what we came for. The side mac and cheese which is supposed to be baked and crunchy on top was served at room temperature and did not seem baked.

Placed an order to go. The Do Gouda was a good sandwich, but a little sweet for my taste. The saucy tots were soggy (maybe because of the to-go packaging?) and tasted stale. I ended up throwing the tots away. The combination of the sandwich and tots came with three separately packaged sauces that weren't labeled and I had no idea what to do with as an Even Stevens newbie. I'd like to come back and try things fresh next time.

I went on my lunch break, and luckily I have an hour lunch. The place was busy and I knew it was going to be a wait, I just didn't realize how much of a wait. The food was good, but nothing note worthy. They are terribly slow at taking your order and again at making your order. I have heard from my coworkers that they are slow even if they are not busy. I don't feel it takes that long to make a sandwich. It took my entire hour lunch to order and then receive my sandwich. I will not be returning on my lunch break.

It was annoying that we had to search down a menu to see what was in all the sandwiches, and the gal at the front wasn't too knowledgeable about the menu either. I was skeptical about their location next to 7-11, but was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Nice atmosphere, fast & friendly, and great food! My group started off with some "Party Tots" -- these were terrifically topped with cheese, bacon, avocado and jalapeño peppers. I had a hard time deciding between the roast pork, roast beef, and a old-fashioned Reuben sandwich. The Reuben was perfectly layered with corned beef brisket, sauerkraut, and swiss, perfectly toasted on rye. Pricing is between $8-$9. This is among the best sandwich shops in Salt Lake.

Had the Do Gouda and Pork Belly Wedge Salad. Um....who ever doesn't like this place has got to be nuts. The sandwich was SO flavorful with the combo of the onion marmalade, perfectly rare steak, and creamy sliced gouda that I will definitely come back from Seattle to have again. The Pork Belly Wedge also keeps its promise. Succulent pieces of perfectly browned/crispy/sweet pork belly combined with creamy avocado and tangy blue cheese on a bed of crisp ice berg and sliced baby tomatoes. All l can say is AMEN and thank you for representing the beauty of the "simple" salad so well. A New Fan from Seattle :-)

Wow! Even Stevens is a real experience. Their cause is great, and their food might be even greater. Every sandwich is top notch and their side orders, especially the brussel sprouts, are mouth-watering. One of the best compliments I can think to give it is this: Every time I go to Even Stevens, I cut up the roof of my mouth on their toasted bread, but that same bread (and everything in between) is so good that I keep going back without complaint.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and it sure did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly, restaurant was very clean and tidy. I ordered the Pot Roast Dip - Succulent turkey pot roast, Swiss, red onion, jalapeno jelly, sourdough, au ju. The sandwich was awesome! All the ingredients went very well together. The jalapeño jelly was great and made this sandwich great! I hardly used the au ju because the sandwich was so flavorful. Definitely need to go back and try the other items on the menu.

The all-you-can-eat French toast was dry. The over all food looked and tasted good. The thing that detours me the most was the long wait, 35 min then if you want one refill on the French toast it takes another 20 min.

People commented on the delicious Egg Frittata. (I had the Chicken, Berry salad for lunch and it was great.) We did box lunches for lunch. Many of the orders had special requests. Each box had the name of the person the lunch was for with notes regarding the special requests. Every order was perfect. GREAT experience. Will look for opportunities to work with Even Stevens Sandwiches again!

Tasty, well prepared sandwiches and other fare. I often get the Cubano and am never disappointed although it can be oily. Good salads and drunk selection. Place has a prominent social work mission of providing food to those in need. The mechanism of that is unclear, and it is also vague how they seek to solve the problem of homelessness and poverty instead of just the symptoms. Potato chips are heavily featured and are very salty, which looks and tastes cheap and diminishes the meal, imo. Nevertheless I eat here periodically and enjoy it.

I enjoyed a Pot Roast Dip, a turkey sandwich made in the style of a classic French Dip (traditionally roast beef). The jalapeño jelly is to die for, and the au jus puts the entire thing over the top. The kicker is that for every sandwich you buy, Even Stevens donates a sandwich to a local non-profit. That's a win-win-win in my book.
