Such great sandwiches! The focaccia bread is so soft, salty and delicious for a breakfast sandwich. The marinated mushroom option with eggs and spread were so flavorful with a little spice. The bread was so good I bought more to take home. The picture shows one-half sandwich. Great hidden gem market.

So many great products to browse at the market. We came back for the breakfast sandwich and it was phenomenal. The focaccia bread could’ve been eaten on its own. Make it into a breakfast sammich with mortadella, eggs, herbs and cheese and it simply amazing.

There are a few things to purchase. I wish they had that Dukes mayo in something less than a gallon size. The magic of Central market is that they make fantastic casual food and both Scion and Water Witch will let you bring it there for eating. The pizza is wonderful, and some of the specials are just amazing. The grilled beef and cheese sandwich yesterday was fantastic. They are friendly, great good, they'll give you the food in a nice basket that you can leave at Scion or the Witch. It's a nice ecosystem they are at the center of.

Probably the best sandwich I’ve had in SLC. Their focaccia is consistently phenomenal and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. Once the construction on the road is completed, Central 9th will be unmissable! Don’t miss this place.

3 words: Mortadella. Breakfast. Sandwich. I'm a chef and renowned foodie. Trust me. SLC frequently disappoints. Not Central 9th! This sando is 💯 🔥. Life changing. The only thing that can improve the experience is a little sticky icky 🌿. Hits all of you taste buds like a freight train. You've got salty, you've got fat, you've got savory, you've got gooey, you've got the drips... I stopped believing in heros until today. Thank you Central 9th Boyz from the bottom of my gut. Visiting Salt Lake from out of town and saw this place get recommended for the best breakfast sandwiches and pizza on Reddit. Probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. These dudes are making the bread in front of your face. Thick slices. Can’t wait to go back.

I ordered the veggie deli sandwich and breakfast sandwich with veggies. What amazing sandwiches. The bread was crisp outside and so tender inside, loved the mushrooms on both sandwiches and the runny egg on the breakfast sandwich. Also good vibes from the guys in there.

Nice organic produce and import shop. They have a good selection of sandwiches and pizzas to go. The pizza oven is definitely the star of the show.

The focaccia is 🤤 I especially love the marinated mushroom sandwhich. Sooo flavorful! The mortadella is also great if you’re looking for a meat option. Super friendly staff and they even sliced salami for me to buy by weight for a camping trip, as I was getting sandos for the road.

Stopped by at the recommendation of a friend and this place did not disappoint. When you walk into a place and just see racks of fresh baked focaccia it's usually a pretty good sign. I got the soft scramble breakfast sandwich with bacon while my partner got the fried egg version with mortadella. Within the first few bites of his sandwich he was checking to see if Central 9th Market opens early enough on weekdays for him to grab breakfast before work (unfortunately they don't). Super chill, friendly staff, and a generally cool spot that will easily outcompete all the other cool spots that are popping up in a rapidly developing part of town. Will definitely be back, and soon (like maybe...tomorrow?).

Super fresh and my favorite pizza I’ve tried in town (I’ve tried a lot and just about everything) I shared the mortadella sandwich, the BLT sandwich and the pepperoni pizza. The breads good, the ingredients were refreshing and crisp and the pizza was dank. I don’t know how else to describe it. It was really good. Definitely a must try and worth every penny. The owners are nice too as well as the other employees which is a bonus perk.

Absolutely fantastic food. I ordered the veggie sandwich and it was amazing. Everyone I was with ordered something different and loved it. The pizza looks incredible and so does their chicken salad. There are also tons of grocery options inside as well. For sure worth the visit.

Literally the best food in all the land. Their pizza is pictured — but I’ve also had the breakfast sandwich too. The bread is insanely good!! And the vegetarian mushroom option is a major temptation even for carnivores. And you can take your order to go sit at Witch (where I got the beer pictured) to enjoy a nice beverage, too.

Went in there on a whim looking for some cheese which was not out for sale but an employee asked if I needed help finding anything. After telling him what I was there for, he kindly went out of his way and prepared some for me to purchase. Lots of great condiments to choose from and a good selection of local brands. Can’t wait to go back and try the food!

Central 9th has been on my radar since their opening. Anywhere built on hearth fired bread, local produce, and all day breakfast immediately speaks to my sensibilities. I’ve heard zero negative comments regarding their food and admire what the team has built in creating such a beautiful focaccia and pizza program. All that said, I needed to see what the hype was about. I ordered the breakfast sando with mortadella and a fried egg. This sandwich changed me fundamentally as a person. Sometimes you eat something so delicious it sets the tone for your entire day. I ate this on a Friday, and it set the tone for my entire weekend I am certain of it. The bread is incredible, and I am certain any toppings put inside of it would make even the pickiest eater happy. The sandwich was perfection. The service was so awesome, too. The team working clearly cares deeply about the food they create and sell. The only thing better than great food is great food made by passionate experts. I’m in love. Top to bottom. Drop everything and go.

Since I've first tried Central 9th, I just can't stop thinking about it. Ingredients are nice and fresh and their focaccia bread is the best!! If you're looking for a sandwich, I really love the Mortadella. Don't skip the pizzas! The pizza dough is just sooooo goooood. The best I've had in SLC. The owners are also super nice! :)

Can't say enough good things about this place! The locally sourced produce section is top notch! Our favorites were the local yogurt, eggs, and lemon spinach - but you really can't go wrong with any of the items from this store! Our arms were full once we made it around the small shop. We wanted to try everything! We also got a breakfast sandwich and it was to die for. Fresh-homemade bread that was soft and perfectly textured. You can really tell that the owners care about the local farmers, makers and food scene. They know food and they have done an awesome job with this shop. We've made this a weekly stop and don't see that changing! Keep it up! 👏👏

Can never go wrong with a sandwich on freshly baked focaccia. Tuna salad sandwich was really good; not the photographable type though. I think they’re working on the interior so there isn’t a seating area, but there is a pantry of sorts to buy produce from, and a restroom if needed.

Wow. Talk about flying under the radar. I just had one of the greatest meals I’ve ever had in salt lake… at a market! Yes, it was a special occasion but it was still the regular chefs and owner prepping and serving the food. They definitely know what they are doing here, I was seriously blown away. Moral of the story: don’t sleep on this spot. I had never heard of this place til today, but they just made a customer for life. Can’t wait to go back!

Went to the Central 9th Market today for my first time. It was after lunch, and the place was still packed, which is always a good sign! I ordered the pizza...It was made with fresh ingredients and cooked in a brick oven. Even though there were 5-6 orders in front of me, the service was fast, and the pizza was delicious! They also have fresh produce, drinks, desserts, and sandwiches, that looked really good! I’ll definitely shop and eat here often.

I’m really hoping this market can make it. I would love to shop here in between farmers markets and main grocery store trips BUT i have a few comments. I understand local salad mixes and veggies can go bad quickly, that’s why they need doors on their fridges to keep things cooler for longer - especially since the store is so warm from the pizza oven. All of their veggies were going bad/needed to be eaten today. If they had prices noted or if things were marked down I would have bought them. But I had no idea how much anything was because nothing had prices marked All of their local baked goods are gorgeous but I bought something and the cashier told me it was Boston cream pie vanilla when it was really peanut butter. Again, labels would have solved this issue. Got a pizza which was sadly under cooked and not crispy. Also had a mortadella sandwich which was top notch. I’m stoked to have a local spot to easily pick up beers. I will def be giving this place another shot but I hope these few things can be improved on.

There is noooooo way you could walk away from this place and be disappointed! It’s small touches like their house pineapple sauce on pizza, or a delicious Cuban sandwich with house picked radishes. I saw pickled horseradish leaves in their case they were going to use with a roast beef ! Their flavors are right on! Their pizza is the best I’ve had! Maybe, some of that has to do with their amazing sourdough crust! It’s so goood!!!!!

This is one of the best places to open in Salt Lake in the past few years. You really just get the sense that the people who own/work here love food and that shows. They’re sourcing high quality, local ingredients for their sandwiches and pizzas but most of which, you can also purchase to take home. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Good sandwich. I got the salami on focaccia. I recommend sharing a sandwich since they are huge and the focaccia they serve it on is enormously fluffy and big, maybe proportionally too much to the rest of the sandwich ingredients. One drawback, that put A LOT of flake salt on the focaccia which in my case was overwhelming. Otherwise, great addition to a wonderful street in slc.
