This place fills a hole I didn’t even know was in my life. Found it because my sister came in town and she’s vegan, going back because it was one of the best sandwiches of my life. I can personally recommend both the Fresh Veggie and Mediterranean Veggie sandwiches but I also can’t wait to be back and try their other menu items. I also love their lavender lemonade because it’s not too strong and pairs great with the meal. Highly recommend making this place a regular place to visit!

Buds is the very best VEGAN lunch spot in Salt Lake City. I eat here multiple times a week. Super friendly staff, very tasty and quick service. I have never had a bad experience here and I highly recommend buds to anyone! Even you meat eaters. Because I am sure you couldn’t even tell the difference.

Buds has great vegan sandwiches, made of jackfruit and all kinds of great flavors. You might also really like the zucchini chocolate chip cookies as well. Wish they were open all day, they have fairly limited hours.

Excellent sandwiches! The bread is that chewy & crispy hoagie roll, fillings are dialed and very tasty (nothing bland here) - pics of the Mediterranean & Buffalo & Banh Mi (my fav of the 3). Walk-up service was super pleasant, happy folks !

I like their food and it's priced very well for the quality and the fact that it's vegan. I suggest checking the busy times and possibly ordering ahead. The last time I was there (a Friday at 1pm) they said it would be a 30-minute wait and it ended up being nearly an hour. But they gave me a cookie for free, that makes up for it right? Not for me, they were too sweet for me. I wish they were open later and opened up their outdoor dining.

I would give Buds 6 stars if I could! An all-vegan eatery with super delicious, fresh, and strangely inexpensive sandwiches, scrumptious cookies, and amazing horchata cold brew. Sandwiches are made on huge crusty rolls - a very filling meal!

Buds is so good! So happy to find an all-vegan sandwich shop! My favorite is definitely the Cheesesteak with pesto and the zucchini cookie which is made fresh daily. The first time we ordered from Buds, the bread was a bit too stiff but we ate the sandwich 30 minutes after receiving it. So the sandwich is best eaten immediately to keep the freshness of the bread. Due note, there is always a line and about a 20-30 minute wait outside with no dining space. The outside dining space is closed. Best to order ahead of time online so it’s a quick pickup. Overall, love this place!

I have been meaning to try Buds for a while now. I will definitely be going back. Easily one of best sandwiches I have ever had. I did the cheese steak. It had the perfect blend of spice and umami and was super filling.

Vegan sandwich shop in Salt Lake City! Food**** We decided to split the pesto sandwich and the classic deli sandwich with the Whole wheat bread options. These both were absolutely delicious - like if we lived here we would come here lunch all the time. We also got cold brew coffee which was a good size for the price. Service *** Service was good, only reason we took off was outdoor seating was closed so there was no where to eat the food and the microphone for the server was very garbled so at times hard to hear. Atmosphere ** Can’t really comment because there was no where to sit Price $ Great price for the delicious food you get

Great selection of hearty vegan sandwiches! I had the Buffalo style and it was killer. The staff were super friendly. Consider ordering ahead, this place was hopping and we had a bit of a wait but it was well worth it.

This plant-based sandwich shop is so delicious!!! I tried the Buffalo and Pesto sandwich, the lavender lemonade, and the zucchini cookie. I was surprised at how the managed the sandwiches to taste like actual meat. And the bread was so crunchy and soft. I will be coming back here for sure! 10/10

I know that from reading some reviews people were worried about the amount of time it takes to get the food. Something I do every time is just order online and it’s ALWAYS ready when I get there. Amazing vegan place in SLC. One of the best places EVER. I’m so glad to have Buds In my community ❤️😊

Tried Bud's we had the Philly cheese steak, Buffalo chicki, and Bahn mi. All were on the grilled sourdough. Service was quick and food was fresh. Everything is made in house and is worth a try. Will definitely be coming back for the Buffalo chicken. Try this place even if you're not vegan.

I LOVE Buds. So affordable, delicious, and plant-based. Doesn't leave me feeling bloaty, like some (non-plant-based) subs do. Staff is always friendly, and the cute hole-in-the-wall setup is incredibly charming. Had the veggie sandwich for lunch today, and might have it every day from now on.

The overall flavor and quality was disappointing at any price, but especially for $8.35. I got the Barbacoa Sandwich because I have had Barbacoa "jackfruit" Tacos (not in Utah) that were phenomenal, but this sandwich was not. Let's talk about the description of this sandwich, "Grilled jackfruit and black beans slow cooked in a chipotle BBQ sauce with shredded cabbage, fresh made guacamole, and ginger sour cream on a toasted sourdough hoagie" 1.The jackfruit needs more of a spicy, smokey flavor to resemble true barbacoa and there was no essence of BBQ sauce. 2 The cabbage/ginger sour cream mash up was AWEFUL. Ginger is a fine option for tang but it needs to be better quality crisp red cabbage and also sweet to off set spicy/smokey of the barbacoa. 3. The "guacamole" is a great idea, it just needs to be turned into real guac with lime, cilantro, jalapeno and ONION (this sandwich NEEDS a lil onion in its life) 4. Bread. not good. just pick a better hoagie. This place has a great basis on vegan food and flavorful ideas, its just lacking follow through. And not to compare them to other businesses, but I'm writing from a former Chipotle Kitchen Manager perspective of a Kansas City BBQ girl, living in a Utah world.

This place has the best vegan parodies of commonly meat-filled restaurant quality foods. Try the cookies while your at it and don't look at the price tags. The cookies are food fit for gods, and my family (4 people), with each their own meal and cookie, never spend more than $35.

I am a vegetarian who prefers to eat vegan; My husband is a carnivore who is open to trying alternatives. We found this place for lunch one day and we were blown away. We had a Philly and pesto chicken, and we both agreed we preferred the Philly (1000000/10); however, the pesto chicken was still great and very fresh-tasting (7/10)! The Philly has a smoky cheese-like spread on it that is to die for. Idk what they do to make their faux steak, but wow… you have to try it! We also tried a zucchini chocolate chip cookie. If you like cookies and zucchini bread, you’ll love it! & the lavender lemonade was super refreshing. Went very well with the sandwiches and cookie. :) We found ourselves there a second time just a couple weeks later because we were craving the Philly. We decided to get a bahn mi to try as well. The bahn mi was so good (9/10)—The only thing that could make it better is a lemongrass au jus dipping sauce. Aside from food, the place itself is super cute. I like ordering at the window and then sitting outside to eat. The tables outside haven’t been accessible recently, but hopefully that will change during the summer. The people that work there are always very friendly. If you are looking for a fast and fresh sandwich joint, absolutely go here. You do not have to be vegan to love this food. My husband, not vegan, now asks me to go to Buds often!

Just had this for the first time, and I LOVED it! So many great vegan options. I live about 1.5hrs north and had to stop on my way back from a trip. Really glad I did. I got the barbacoa sandwich, and it was huge! So tasty though. I thought the bread was good despite what one review said. I also got a lavender lemonade, and they gave me a zucchini cookie! The lemonade is seriously so good. Cookie was also AWESOME. I ate in my car and loved every second of it. Can't wait to come back and try something else.

These are my favorite vegan sandwiches around, I've never had a bad experience coming here. I the service is always fast and the sandwiches are delicious. I don't even like faux meats anymore, but these are always good, and a hit with meat eaters as well. I highly recommend it

I’m writing this review 10min after picking up my order - if that tells you anything. I honestly have a bit of a stomach ache cause I ate the Taco salad (had to add jalapeños) so fast! Wish it had a bit more greens but was a lot of food for the price and the barbacoa was spot on. Make sure to treat yourself to the zucchini chocolate chip cook as well. Perfect consistency and flavor.

I love being able to go to a place where I can just look at the menu and choose anything and not have to worry about meat being inside my food. The pizzasteak is my favorite sandwich. Also gotta try the lavender lemonade it's the bomb! Such a great place to visit if your vegetarian or vegan! 5/5 stars!

I’ve driven past this place several times and finally had the chance to try it. The sandwiches are so delicious and filling. I was only able to eat half of mine. The employees are also very friendly. Did their online order and got a dry sandwich. I feel it should come just as ordered at the window. Asked for my choice of mustard. Nothing on it. Drove 30 min to get it. You guys got this. Pay attention to the ticket, love your sandwiches when theyre made as advertised. Much love !

The Cliff Notes: Good tasting, guilt-free food. It can just take a while to get your order. Full Review: For meat eaters like me, Buds’ house-made, plant-based proteins really do resemble actual meat. You’re likely to forget, or not care that it’s plant-based protein. The Good: The sandwiches and salads are both great options at Buds. The sandwiches have a hearty sourdough bread. The salads have fresh spring mix and veggies topped with delicious homemade dressings (the garlic-herb aioli hits). My favorites are the Buffalo Salad and Pizza-steak Sandwich. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is light and refreshing yet still filling and it’s perfect for a sunny day. The Pizza-steak has house-made marinara (it’s so good) that and makes the sandwich super savory and it’s perfect for those cold winter days. You can’t go wrong with either one of those though IMHO. My hat really goes off to the people that work there. They’re are truly the best kind of people…good humans. They go above and beyond to make you feel appreciated and certainly offer to make up for any discrepancies you bring to their attention. The Bad(ish): Like other reviewers have mentioned, the wait times at Buds can (but not always) be quite lengthy. It’s the one and only downside I have found here. I mean you can probably find quicker service at some sit-down restaurants nearby. For first-timers, and folks in a rush, (like me sometimes) that can be rough. That said, I’ve found that it’s best practice to order online and then give yourself about 30 to 40 minutes to pick it up.

i happen to stumble upon this as a starving vegan in SLC today. i was Thanking God i got to eat. i dont eat out anywhere because im very Vegan. i was with a friend from Idaho coming down for a show early. iam from Ogden and i wish i could be closer cuz i want this food all the time now. The jackfruit taco salad was supurb! the staff was so friendly as they addressed all my concerns. i so highly recommend this good vibe healthy for you place! and thanks for feeding me today! when i thought i was gonna have to go without food. what a blessing!

Buds is delicious. Admittedly I've only tried the same sandwich every time I have been there. It's deli classic. I've gotten it on sourdough and wheat. You can't go wrong either way. I have also had their zucchini chocolate chip cookies. They're great. They're chewy. They're vegan. They're chocolatey. The service is good too. They're super fast at making sandwiches.

I have been out of the area for some time but returned to Buds after a couple years and I’m still as happy as ever to eat their delicious vegan sandwiches. I have tried multiple options and have enjoyed every one of them. Awesome for an outdoor lunch in their fenced in picnic table area.

Just went to Buds and we had the Cheesesteak sandwich and the Buffalo Sandwich. I got to taste both and they both were excellent. Finished it off with a zucchini chocolate chip cookie. Had a fantastic dinner! Service was great and fast. We definitely will be going back! Loved it!

I can't believe how fast I ate that sandwich! I got the pesto sandwich as recommended by a friend and it was superb. It doesn't matter if you are vegan or not you will love the flavors and textures these sandwiches have to offer. The staff were super nice and friendly. 10/10 coming here again.

As a vegetarian, I am usually skeptical of how a vegan sandwich could really be that filling (I gotta have cheese). But Buds proved me very wrong. Both of their Pesto and Buffalo Chicken sandwiches were absolutely amazing and incredibly filling. I'll now be going there on my lunch break regularly. Fast and friendly service as well.

This is a wonderful plant-based sandwich store! If you've never eaten good vegan food, you enjoy discovering it at Bud's. There sandwiches and cookies are exceptionally tasty. Also they feel good in my tummy after I've eaten them. I don't feel as bloated. Take advantage of their order online service. Make you order before you drive down and it will be ready by the time you get there in most cases. There is always a wait here! That tells you what a huge favorite this hole in the wall sandwich store is for so many people.

As a hot vegan sandwich aficionado, this is my top tier ranking restaurant. I love visiting SLC and walking away from the window with a perfect sub in my hands. The ingredients are amazing, the bread is perfect, the turnaround time is great. I love everything I’ve tried on the menu and I’ve had about half of it. They also have a great banh mi for not being a Vietnamese place!

My gf and I picked up a late lunch here after some hiking. The server was super friendly. We were warned there might be a wait do to a rush, but we received our food quickly. We had the classic and the cheesesteak. Both awesome (I slightly preferred the classic). The "cheese" on the cheesesteak was quite good. I think it was cashew/yeast based and had a cheese whiz like texture. Good job to the chef for nailing that.

Bud's is by far the best sandwich joint in SLC (mondo points for being all vegan). I'll go out of my way any day to pick up a buffalo sub (or a salad if I feel like I need the greens!). Wait times may be something to consider if you're in a hurry, so ordering online is a way to know your food will be ready when you are. Don't skip on a cookie if you have a sweet tooth and grab a drink or some chips to round out a full meal. Enjoy!

I have been coming to buds for almost a year, and I have to tell you this place is legit, some of the best sandwiches in Salt Lake City. My favorite is the Buffalo but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The prices are also great! The parking is non existent here but what I’ve done is park at the Maverik when I can’t find parking and walk over. Some suggestions I have for management, I would like to see the nutritional facts available on your website. I would also love for Buds to be open past 5, closing at 5 makes it hard to get here before they close. Also opening your eating area outside would be great.

I eat everything and I was craving the Buffalo sandwich again the day after I had one! I actually tried to go back to discover that they're closed on Sundays. The bread has a good crunch and chew to it, and the "meat" didn't make me wish I had the real thing. For the price, this is a great deal. I would definitely go back if I lived in the area. Also, I was impressed with how kind the service was, even with my limited interaction getting takeout.

Fantastic vegan sandwiches and burritos. They frequently have collaborations with other vegan friendly companies that park on the east side of their building. Very quick prep time and beyond friendly staff! If I had to find a complaint I’d say I wish they were open a bit later for dinner.

My review is just one more of the thundering herd of superlatives to be used when describing our first experience here! I had the Buffalo, which I loved, and my wife had the Pesto, which she enjoyed. Great flavors and textures! The cookie was divine as well. We will return in order to try every sandwich they make. It is so enjoyable to order anything without worrying about our order! (the wife and I eat plant based). To those few who say this place is expensive, I say you should get out more, as Buds is very reasonable on their prices. Thank you, Buds! Update 1-10-20: Just went here again a couple weeks later and had the cheese steak. It was absolutely the best sandwich I've ever had in my life! I don't think this sandwich can be topped. My first time here. The vegan chicken pesto sandwich was really good except that the bread bun crust was so crusty, it scraped up the inside of my mouth. Also, I requested no onions, but some still showed up on my sandwich. The zucchini chocolate chip cookie was very yummy. Super fast service! I'll try this place again next time I'm downtown.

Bud’s is good stuff, but I really can’t understand how much they’ve fallen off with the wait times. We’ll put in an order for 2 sandwiches, and lately it’s been taking 40 minutes. I know their kitchen is small, but we used to come here and wait in a long line and still wait 10, maybe 15 minutes. It’s becoming not worth it when the whole point of walk up service is for the food to be fast. The consistency of the sandwiches has also faltered within the last few orders we’ve made.

Every time I've ordered ahead, it's taken at least 15-20 minutes longer than the given ETA for my order to be ready, and twice I've had to cancel my order to go back to work. It's much slower to order online, please don't do it.

Updated 7/27/2020: There seems to be some negative feedback about the owner(s) in the "Salt Lake City" vegans Facebook group. If someone believes the owners of a vegan restaurant should handle employee issues in a certain way, I'd recommend you read up the posts in that group. One of the owners posted her response in a separate thread. You could decide for yourself after reading from both sides.

I have a low key addiction to this place. The food is sooooo good and the price point is wonderful! I absolutely love their cheesesteak and want to order other items, but don’t want to stray from my favorite menu item! I have also gotten their lemonade and zucchini cookie, both amazing. I wish Buds would expand with a couple more locations and get one closer to where I live, but for now I will make the drive here for a delicious vegan sandwich.

I have heard so many good things about this place for years, so I finally decided to try it. My girlfriend and I went today and were super excited. We got the Philly cheese steak and the pesto sandwich, with chips. The chips were good but the sandwich bread was really dry and not much stuff in the middle. It was more bread then anything. I wasn't impressed at all and bummed I wasted my calories on it. I will try it again and hopefully have a better experience next time. Update, tried it again and it was excellent! The deli classic is amazing!

Such a great staff and excellent food! It’s hard to find great Vegan food but the fresh veg sandwich here is top notch! Flavorful and packed full of veg! Small, laid back take out with excellent flavors. Got the Barbacoa, others had the taco salad and caprese sandwich . The salad was spicy, so watch out, but everything was fresh and delicious.

Have been eating plant based for over three years and of course found it very difficult to eat out! Selection in our eastern Idaho community is very limited! Brought my wife down to The Huntsman for another surgery and she instructed me to go find a good sandwich while she was undergoing treatment! Bud's was close so gave it a try! Ordered the taco salad! Buds, oh Buds, why can't you stay open just a little later? Closing at 5 just send like a tease. I love walking to this place from downtown for lunch. They serve wonderful hot and deli style sandwiches and burritos, all plant based. The rolls are perfect, crunchy crust, fresh baked. Everything I've tried was delicious, it's a small menu, so I'm only one or two visits from having had everything. So far I could not pick a favorite. Portion size is generous, not huge. (I'm not vegan or vegetarian, not that it matters, I just really enjoy Bud's food)

Let me start by saying that I am NOT vegan. (My husband is.) We came here for his birthday, and he convinced me to try it. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but it was his birthday, so, you know. I ordered the pesto sandwich (with "Chicken") and was pleasantly surprised to find it more than just palatable. It was delicious! The bread was my biggest selling point, and I'm sure the strong pesto flavor covered up the normal vegan-food taste, but I don't care. It was a great lunch and a wonderful birthday. A few notes that may be helpful: - These sandwiches are pretty large. I couldn't finish mine. - There are free water cups by the pick up window if you don't want to order a drink - The chocolate zucchini cookies are a tad crunchy for my taste, but the flavor is all there - Seating is in the sun, so you should be prepared for that if you plan to linger and burn easily

I am not a vegan but this place is THE BEST and my favorite sandwich place ever!!! Seriously... I do care that every meal I have has certain amount of protein, a.k.a some sorts of meat, however, for this sandwich, the vegan turkey and vegan meat really tastes like meat. And also it makes beautiful harmony with the fresh vegetables they use. Every time I visit, mostly the lunch time, there are always lines for the sandwich and I can wait for it even though there were 9 parties ahead of me! Totally worth it and you should try it, too

I love this place! I've had both the pesto and Buffalo sandwich, and both are great, though I think the Buffalo is unbeatable! I've probably had it 6 or 7 times by now The only thing I would change would be closing more around 6pm so I could pick up a sandwich on my way home from work! I'd also love to buy a bottle of the Buffalo sauce for my own cooking at home. I'd be willing to pay $10-15 for one, it's so good.

Buds has THE BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had! 100% plant based. If you haven’t had buds, you aren’t living. I wish they were open late and on Sundays! If you are vegan and in Salt Lake it driving through you have got to go to Buds! You will not be disappointed. Be prepared to eat outside on the little patio or have somewhere to go to eat. No indoor seating but I promise you need to try this place!

Overall great experience. There was a short line with basically no wait, ordering was easy, and our food was out within 5 minutes. Very reasonably priced ($6-$7 for a sandwich), and the pesto sandwich was amazing. I don’t like pesto, but I loved that sandwich. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I read reviews that spoke very highly of the barbacoa sandwich (which is what I ordered) and it was pretty lackluster. I’d return here and order the pesto.

Well-priced vegan food that fills you up and tastes great. There is no indoor seating so you'll want to take your food to go in the winter. Fortunately, the service is very quick and they have an outdoor heater you can stand under while you wait. Delicious vegan sandwiches. I go here once or twice a week. My favorite is the barbacoa sandwich followed closely by the buffalo sandwich. If it weren't for the occasional over application of aioli and the less frequent but even more problematic really dry bread (like, wreck-the-top-of-your-mouth dry I'd rate 5 stars. The service is always excellent and fast, and interactions with employees are fantastic.

I've been vegetarian for almost 10 years but prior to stopping eating meat, I enjoyed anything buffalo chicken. Now that I have discovered Buds buffalo chicken sandwich, my life no longer has a void! This sandwich is something I crave, need and desire. The bread is amazing and chewy and the buffalo chicken is coated in delicious sauce and topped with vegan ranch and crunchy coleslaw. If you try this, I promise you will not be disappointed. They only have outdoor picnic tables so it's best to eat there when the weather is nice, however, you can always grab it and go. They are always friendly and truly seem like they enjoy what they do. This place is a must try for vegans and non-vegans alike, just to explore something different.

Simple take out sandwiches in the small nook of the building. My bf and I had the buffalo flavor and the pesto sauce sandwiches. They were both delicious and and made quickly. There is a little patio in the front for customers to enjoy their meal. There is also an option to get it in a wrap instead of a bun. I would deff recommend this place. Am I the only one that feels guilty when I give five stars? I mean, mama always taught me nothing is perfect. But this place was stellar! A little hole in the wall that whips out quality sandwiches, which happen to be vegan. I have now tried every sandwich on the menu, and they are all stellar. My favourite though is the cheesesteak. If I didn't know, I never would have guessed this didn't contain steak and Velveeta. And the generous dose of black peppers rounds it all out! There is sometimes a wait during peak hours and they don't have a ton of seating. But perfect for an in the go meal! Word of advice: eat here! Do it now!

They seem to be a very local sandwich shop. The guy working the counter seemed to take interest in the customers and knew quite a few by name. They have picnic tables outside that you can eat at. The food is pretty good, i was excited to go for my birthday, had waited 20 minutes in line just to discover i had accidentally left my wallet in the car, they don't allow phone payments, so i had asked if they could at least start my order since i was ordering 4 sandwiches for my family. They refused to take my order without immediately paying. Went to car to grab my wallet, saw the long line i would have to wait in again, and decided to go elsewhere, i don't really want my kids to wait an hour for their food. Hopefully someday they will be a little more progressive and allow you to order ahead of time. Most restaurants allow you to order over the phone or online. I was really bummed.

Excellent sandwiches at reasonable prices. Most of the employees don't not appear to have particularly stable lives outside of work. Also there isn't really anywhere to sit except for a bench on a small deck and some tables between the street and sidewalk. In summary despite Bud's being a total dive and always wondering if I'm going to get some sort of food born disease Bud's is my one of my favorite places to eat in Salt Lake. It has tons of character and a completely unique menu.

There aren't very many vegan restaurants, which means there are even fewer good vegan restaurants. I don't believe in eating crappy food because it's healthy or fits your diet. How good is Buds? Let's just say anytime I'm in SLC, I go out of my way to eat here. I will event bring a sandwich home to my wife. I am so glad that I found this place on Yelp. I feel the price point is excellent for the food you get. Please do not let the fact that it is "vegan" scare you off. If vegan food tasted this good, everyone would be vegan. I am not vegan by any means, but I love trying vegan resturants because the food really has to be good for it to be successful. Our personal favorites are the Cheeseteak and the Barbacoa Burrito. The cookies are good too, but they are a little pricey. As many have mentioned, the only con is the outside sitting. So, on a rainy/snow day plan accordingly. I still go when the weather isn't the best and eat it in my car. Yes, it's that good.

I'm giving this 3 stars because husband said it was one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. The Buffalo fake chicken. I chose the barbacoa because there wasn't any fake meat. I don't like the whole idea of fake meat. Whole foods vegan doesn't need to mimic meet imho. While my sandwich was ok, I didn't love the flavors or the texture and it wasn't the jack fruit whose texture I like! But the avocado and beans and sauce all created a kind of unpleasant mush. You order and pick up at a window. There is outside seating under trees and that's lovely. Service was fast and prices reasonable.

Everything on the menu is made without meat. I was impressed with the taste, and the prices were very reasonable. I got the barbacoa sandwich and my friend got the cheesesteak. We both enjoyed them and plan to come back. A couple down sides are that they don't have very much seating and they don't have a bathroom.

Went once on a ski trip to Utah and loved the Pesto and Deli sandwiches so much we went again. However the second time, the cheese steak sandwich was not very good. Loved the soy-beef but there was way too much cheese sauce covering everything and ruining the flavor, couldn't even eat the whole thing I got so sick of it. My department at work decided to try a plant-based meal together and Buds was recommended. I was intrigued by the thought of jackfruit as a meat substitution, so I ordered the barbacoa burrito. I have to say it was DELICIOUS. Where vegetarian meals usually leave me feeling like I'm missing something, I was quite happy after having this burrito! The jackfruit was perfect and the flavor was fantastic. They really captured that savory barbacoa flavor. It was a decent-sized burrito, too! All very Chipotle-esque, only with better results! And I just wanted to say thank you to the staff! Awesome friendly vibes all around. I like their judgement-free zone. Will be back again (so will my coworkers).

I've been vegan for about 6 month and I have been trying out every vegan dish in the valley trying to find the best one and let me tell you, my buck stops here. I tried the barbacoa sandwich today and my girlfriend had the pizzasteak sandwich. I tried both and was blown away! This is the future of vegan food. Quick, affordable, filling, nutrious and simply delicious. There should be a Bud's sandwich shop in every city!

Order at the window and dine outside on sidewalk picnic tables under great shade trees. I'm not "vegan", per se, but appreciate the environmental consequences of meat and really minimize my intake. I love Buds! Completley vegan. I usually get the cheezsteak(or however it is spelled) sandwich. It uses soy curls and their cheese sauce substitute. You can't go inside. You order at the window. They have wooden table-benches outside for you to sit at. If you are planing on eating there go when it is warm outside. The staff is friendly. Highly recommend it.
