Baguette was crispy on outside, soft on inside! Pickled veggies, meat and patte tasted amazing! Beignet was a little on the dry side, and not entirely sure if they were made fresh. Overall, everything was delicious! And don’t forget the coffee!

First time here and it was a fantastic sandwich, I ordered the turkey and bacon on croissant and it was one of the tastiest ones I have had. the croissant was cooked to perfection and they offered a mustard packet on the side. 10/10 will be back here to try more food and drinks.

Excellent location if you want a bahn mi! They also serve other types of sandwiches too. Bun bao, egg rolls, che, they have quite a few other options too. They've renovated and they place is awesome! So clean and spacious!

Haven't been to this place in months, hence I got a li'l surprised when I saw the renovation done within the dining area... totally love the ambiance. Now it doesn't look like just an ordinary sandwich place anymore. Apart from the delish Bahn mi inspired french baguette sam'mich and my fave taro smoothie w boba pearls.... the dining area is more inviting, to enjoy your choice of food . Very nice!!!

Best. Sandwich. Period. I tried Lee's Sandwiches based on a recommendation from a co-worker and holy cow I'm glad I did! This Bahn Mì (which I've never had before) is simply a wonder! The baguette is unparalleled; a perfect crunch followed by a soft, flavorful inside cradling meat and veggies in a loving embrace. The pulled pork itself is so delicious, an amazing punch of flavor in a thin sliced portion. The vegetables give a surprising pop of freshness and crispness, complimenting the meat and baguette juuuuust right! I've never enjoyed a sandwich quite this much. Also, this establishment is bright, open, and welcoming with signage and displays which make you feel like you're in an authentic Asian market. Even though, with the current pandemic, you can only order food for takeout, it does look like a light and airy place to eat in when things settle down. Lastly, I have to express my gratitude to the staff tonight. I came in after work, not realizing they close at 7 pm, and when I glanced at my watch as I walked in I saw it was 6:56pm. I asked the gentleman at the counter if I could still order and he was happy to take my order, never making me feel like it was an inconvenience so close to closing time. My sandwich was made with care and came out perfectly. I highly recommend Lee's Sandwiches to anyone who wants to eat good food! Thank you so much for feeding me amazing food and being so accommodating after my long 12 hour shift! I'll be back again and again. 🤗💚

This place is always busy. A great place to get hot, fresh baguettes. The sandwiches are very unique. Choices range from typical ham and cheese to an Asian style Bahn mi on a baguette. Sandwiches for catering are also an option. You can get delicious sesame balls, eggrolls, and Asian desserts too. Don't forget to check out their wide selection of smoothies!

The new renovations are gorgeous - ample space to sit and relax, inside or outside. The sandwiches are of course delicious, with the Cha Lua Pate being your staple crowd pleaser. Tons of snacks and assorted pastries, even ingredients to make your own lee's at home this place has it all - definite repeat customer here!

So yummy! Fresh baked goods and delicious sandwiches! Just make sure you bring cash. They keep prices affordable by not accepting credit or debit cards, however, they do have an ATM in the restaurant.

The fresh made baguettes are amazing! They bake them all throughout the day and you can either buy just that or sandwiches. I reccomend the vegetarian or the breakfast egg and cheese on the baguette. The iced coffee is the perfect blend of sweet and strong to make it through the day!

Awesome sandwiches! If you like Banh Mi sandwiches on a fresh, crispy baguette, then you need to visit this restaurant! They also make European style sandwiches on baguette or croissant. You can even buy fresh baguettes to-go. Great place to eat!

The BEST sandwiches in town. The line moves fast, don't let it deter you. My favorite is the lemongrass pork, can't beat it for $5. Sandwiches come on a fresh 10 inch baguette. They offer many other authentic dishes, sides and drinks.

How often do you come across a real treasure? Once every couple of years? Well, the Chandler AZ treasure of 2007 is Lee's Sandwiches, and I wish them much success. Why I Give Mad Props to Lee's Sandwiches: 1. They have outdoor seating with mist-ers to keep customers cool, even at 110 degrees. 2. Add a statuesque actor in trademark John Wayne Gasey white makeup & a gondola canal inside, and you'd have the Venetian. Then again, maybe not, but there is a mini concave rotunda built into the ceiling, painted with the colors of the wind. 3. They have a baguette factory. Watch stainless steel machinery crank out French style loaves, while you and your chums enjoy an affordable meal in the dining area. 4. Eighteen different flavors of gelato. 5. They have a Deli Manjoo cream cake counter, with colorful carrying cases for to-go orders. 6. Fresh bread, fresh whole cilantro and thinly sliced fresh jalapenos joined forces to awaken sleepy taste buds. 7. The stylish Lance Armstrong style rubber bracelet which was affixed to each sandwich to keep the wrapper on tight. Okay, it was just a sixteenth of an inch wide and only came in white. What do you all want for nothing? A rubber biscuit? 8. The low low prices. 9. My meal provided me with a front row seat to the putrid-pudding-stampede, at no additional cost. Why I Put Lee's Sandwiches on Blast: 1. They don't take plastic... but they do have a shifty looking ATM against the wall. 2. The sweetly pickled julienned carrot sticks which were strategically placed on my meatball and bbq pork subs. I didn't find the extra crunch to be an appealing augmentation. 3. Some of the aromas emitted from behind the counter were not altogether inviting. Finally, I found the cashier to be very friendly. When I walked in with only a Hamilton, and the bill came to $10.11, guess who covered my shortage? That's right, Nicole the benevolent cashier.

The baguette is PERFECTLY crispy, chewy and flavorful so it makes the sandwich. There is a very scant amount of filling and the pork roll is reminiscent of fatty canned meat and what's up with the jalapenos that overtake the filling? I took them off, and I like jalapenos, but that's all I could taste. They should sell their bread. The eggrolls were stale, chewy and too long under a heat lamp. Then they give you packaged dipping sauce. This is all very sad for a sandwich shop that has been around for about 20 or more years. The place is bright, clean and friendly. Thai tea was adequate.

Tried this place for the first time after having some disappointing Banh Mi elsewhere around the valley, and I’m so happy we found it. This is the way banh mi should taste! I also really enjoyed the sesame donut, which was BOMB!

The sandwiches at Lee's are delicious! I love the pickled veggies they add in the sandwiches. Everything in them taste fresh. If you like good strong coffee, you must try the Vietnamese coffee; it's s amazing! There is plenty of space to sit down and eat. You can also buy their baguette to take home.

I really like the lemongrass beef sandwich it's my favorite sandwich the barbecue pork sandwich is also really good The Price is Right Lee sandwiches is open for a good portion of the day and you can usually get it pretty fast it also has a large amount of other Asian snacks and treats to go along with your day it also has Debi manjoo. Stopped in for a sandwich. Best fresh bread. Came away with lots of extras I don't need but totally wanted. Went in at 1:30pm and it wasn't busy like I've usually seen it. Nice. Kiddo got a raspberry smoothie. Lots of real raspberries in it!

Disappointing. The bread is smaller than it used to be. The $7.39 sandwich had only 2 slices of meat....nothing like the photo on the menu. The place was not busy but the wait between ordering and receiving our order was 30 mins.

These sandwiches are usually great I've been coming here for many years and absolutely love it. But, they are getting a bit pricey now. The sandwiches used to be like 3$, now they cost 7.49$ and one sandwich isn't even big enough for a meal so you gotta buy 2 of them to get full. My sandwiches today had tons of gross inedible pork fat in it and not enough actual meat unfortunately

Lee's is an interesting asian grocery and sandwich restaurant. They carry hard to find items from Thailand, Vietnam and other asian nations. My Asian baguette had some issues namely the meat seemed cheap and overprocessed and not much of it. The bread roll was very fresh and tasty though. Service was excellent in a busy environment.

The place is nice and very clean. I got the shredded pork and pork skin. I was disappointed with the amount of meat that was in the sandwich. There was very very very little meat. The turkey club was much more fuller. If your looking for meaty sandwich don’t get the pork one.

THE VERY BEST SANDWICHES IN ARIZONA! They offer American style sandwiches but their specialty is Vietnamese style baguette sandwiches. Do yourself a favor and get an extra baguette or two. The whole place smells like a French bakery.

French baguette with bbq pork. The bread is baked on the premise. Ovens are behind the counter. The baguette is crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The combination of the meat and its fillings go perfect with each other. The Vietnamese coffee is stronger than your usual suspects but delish! It is a drive to get out there but definitely worth it!

Can't believe I've never been here despite all my driving around the east valley. It was very good. The mini-market was pleasing to the eye and displayed very well if just a little hard to comprehend. The BBQ sandwich that was recommended was very good. The baguette was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside and the sauce and mayo was applied in perfect amounts with the veggie mix. And I have zero complaints about the taste flavor, and quality of the pork and shrimp egg rolls or the large sesame ball. For the price of 11.50 all of this was mine. (No chips or drink) If I were to nitpick, I think that there could definitely be a bit more meat on the sandwich as I opened it up and was a little dissapointed and a sauce with the egg rolls would be delicious.

5 stars for variety and assortment. Apps, desert, drinks, and plan baguette are good. American/European style sandwiches are more tasty than banh mi which is a shame. Example, shuimai sandwich tastes nothing like traditional recipe lacking seasoning. Other banh mis are not too exciting either. Service is friendly and the place is clean.

I go here only for their baguette. I like the baguette a lot. It is cheap and in good quality. The current price is $1.39 before tax. The only drawback is that they only accept Cash! So be ready before your visit

Quick and courteous service, with the best banh mi in chandler. No need to order ahead, as they work through orders quickly. They now take card, so no need to use the ATM in the lobby. The smoothies tasted like they've improved, as well, and the lobby has been revamped for privacy and separation between customers while they eat. Loving the changes, and always loving the food.

Such a awesome sandwich shop I can't wait to take my husband here! Atmosphere was very unique and clean. The server behind the counter was very kind and patient with my sister and I as we tried to order a sandwich for my 5 year old. She can be picky and he was very helpful in the suggestions of sandwiches that she might like. I got a #66 on a croissant and it was incredible!!! So fresh tasting! Bathrooms were very clean and that is extremely important to me when I go try a new place and decide if I am going to go back or not. Definitely will be back with my husband.

I like their baguettes especially when they just come out of the oven, crunchy and smell so good! There are a variety of hams and meats for the filling. I really like the special combination with different kinds of hams and pork roll. I'd definitely recommend this place if you want to try 'banh mi'.

I love to go here for lunch! Friendly service and great food. They also have candies, sodas and snacks that are Asian so I can try something new while waiting for my food. Also, they are pretty good at getting the food out quickly. Sometimes it takes a little long but quality requires time so it is worth it. Totally recommend!

Giving this place anything other than 5 stars is hard, but necessary as a vegetarian. For carnivores this place is a 5/5 easily. Excellent pricing, amazing sandwiches (with fresh bread you can watch being baked), and a great culmination of flavors and textures. The service is always fast and accurate. Barefoot friendly.

Bahn mi sandwich and a mango shake every time, can't go wrong. Absolutely delicious and price is right if not too low. Always order a second one for later, but most of the time it doesn't last the ride home even if I am not hungry they are that good. Also great place to get your Hi-Chews!

One of my favorite sandwich stops in the valley. They have a lot of options, both standard sub fair (turkey, ham, etc) and my favorite, the more Asian influenced stuff (their BBQ pork and Headcheese combo sandwiches are to die for!). They also have a lot of snacks and drinks, many of them only available in Asian specialty stores, as well as fresh baked begets. I go whenever I am in the area. Just a heads up, it's cash only, but they do have an ATM in the store.

Last time we were in the cashier misunderstood my husband when he ordered my sandwich, they corrected it right away and made me a new sandwich even brought it out to our table, but that won't keep us away! Very likable place, I love their sandwiches and the fact that they carry various europeans paté and French salty butter. Their baguette is good too. I do not like their hot chocolate at all, that is what I drink and I went there few times, the result was the same. So i give them 4 stars only. I will always go there if I am around.

This place is consistently good. Not always the best at getting orders right, but the food always comes out fresh and delicious! Very reasonably priced and good selection of products to take home for later. Try the Lee's Cafe. It's lightning in a cup! Bring CASH, to keep prices low they don't accept plastic. Looking forward to more locations as they are slated to open one in Phoenix.

If you like good, fresh, sandwiches, then you have to try one here at Lee's. I think the bread is what really makes the difference, it is super fresh and would taste good all by itself! Its much cheaper than any other sandwich shop and definitely seems fresher and less assembly line. I think the only thing that can be hit or miss here is the service from time to time, but that is soon forgotten with a sniff of the fresh bread.

One of my favorite lunch spots. I've tried about half a dozen items off the menu and loved all of them! The dining area has huge windows and is bright and cheerful with plenty of space. Give me a sandwich and an iced coffee or Thai tea and I'm off to a great afternoon!

Great sandwiches and baguettes. Really great everything, good selection and everything is pretty fresh. I only have issues sometimes when I add avocado to my sandwich, it's not always fresh which is disgusting, so what I do is ask the sales person to go and tell them to make sure they serve me fresh avocado, other than that Lee's is the bomb. I'm there a few times a week it's so good. I like #83 and I add tomatoes, onions and avocado.

I love Lee's! Some don't agree that it's as good as I think, but it's still tasty! I love the #5. Their egg rolls and wings are decent too. They do have a large menu for food and drinks. Their baguettes are available for purchase too!

The one thing I'm glad came with me during my move to AZ (originally from CA). Was my favorite affordable delicious pork sandwhiches and the strongest most delicious iced coffee. In CA we had multiple chains of Lee's and there's a reason it frequently packed and there so readily available. Here in AZ there is only one but it's still definitely worth the trip from Peoria.

Lee's has the best sandwiches. Their baguette bread is absolutely delicious and always cooked fresh. They also have some really unique snacks to look at while you are standing in line and have a great dessert selection.

If you are familiar with the Lee's Sandwich shops in California, this is exactly the same. The bread is a little harder then I like and there isn't as much protein in the sandwich, but that is their take on the Banh Mi here and it isn't too bad. The Vietnamese coffee is great but strong! Also they are one the cheapest places to get Macaroons.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches around. If you're getting your sandwiches to go, order the veggies on the side to keep the bread fresh. Clean, inexpensive, and delicious, but keep in mind that they get very busy so be prepared to wait for a bit. Trust me it's worth it.

The macaroons were awesome, the coconut smoothie with Boba was very good and refreshing, the people were direct, polite, to the point. The brew coffee was not fresh. But I ordered it at a weird time in the afternoon. But this place is it great place and I'll be back.

I love the sandwiches here. Don't know what it is about them but their sandwiches are the best. I get the #33 which is a ham and turkey sandwich on a crosaunt it also comes on a baguette which is a #23. Sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato with a pickle spear, onions, and pepper on the side. And one mustard packet. Also mayo but I have that taken off. I also get an orange banana strawberry smoothie which sounds weird but is actually really good. The orange gives the regular strawberry banana smoothie a kick flavor wise though you don't really taste it. Everyone is pretty relaxed there. It used to be cash only but since I've last gone they switched over to card if your order is over five dollars. They also added a lottery ticket machine. They sell things other then sandwiches like egg rolls, chicken wings, ice cream, pastries, and various drinks and treats. They have an in store bakery that supplies them with their bread and they sell it as well. I don't eat there ever, it's between stops. And They close sort of early compared to other places. So I usually get my food to go and swing by to pick up chips on the way home. Postmate also delivers for them now as well.

They are fast, cheap and friendly which is why they always have a line (but trust me, it moves super quickly). I really love their Vietnamese coffee even though it has so much caffeine that I feel like I am going to bounce off the walls. Their sandwiches are all made with freshly baked baguettes that are always super flaky and soft. Although everyone recommends to get extra meat on their bahn mis, I recommend to keep it as is so you can actually tasted the pickled veggies and the crunch and spice from the jalapenos.

When going here, remember this isn't subway. Your sandwiches, while customizable are not the same as what you would find in most places. On that note, the diversity found here is strangely unique and great in its own right. This is due to the strange yet amazing flavor of the Banh mi, the specialty of this sandwich shop. Great place for lunch! Very cheap sandwiches! There is usually a crowd at lunch but they are very efficient here. I had the special combo with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The special combo had a mixture of meat and very tasty. Most of the sandwiches are Vietnamese but they have a few more familiar western varieties, it is easy to go with something familiar but if you have never tried a Vietnamese sandwich you should definitely try the special combo. The vietnamese iced coffee is incredibly strong so it will keep you awake after your lunch. The sandwiches here are really cheap! Just be aware that they dont take plastic so bring cash! They also have freshly baked loaves of french bread for sale.

I used to eat these sandwiches back in NYC. They were still a treat then and still a treat today. The quantity isn't there anymore, compared from 20+ yrs ago and now. Some reviewers of this place don't like the "cash only" can go to other sandwich shops and use credit cards then, because the establishment already factors in the fees the merchant "company" pays to accept credit cards. I prefer to pay cash at all restaurants and credit cards at all supermarkets to protect myself from getting my card skimmed "stolen" by people i don't know.

The founder of Lee's Sandwiches Chieu Le came to the United States from Vietnam and settled in San Jose, CA in 1980 and started a portable catering truck business in 1981. In 1983 Chieu's parents started to make Vietnamese style sandwiches and in 2001 they added Euro-style sandwiches plus baguettes, croissants, coffee, soft drinks, pastries and desserts. In time the business expanded in California as well as in Arizona. There is a table service in Lee's Sandwich shop for those who would like to sit and enjoy their food. The shop also provides some of the Asian ingredients that are needed for cooking and can rarely be found elsewhere.

The place is very open and plenty of seating with music playing. Very ennoyable atmosphere to sit and have a quick lunch. The value of the sandwiches they offer, both european and asian, is incredible. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a less expensive option in all of Phoenix. The Vietnamese iced latte is a delcious option for coffee lovers. The only downside so far has been CASH only but they do offer an ATM that only charges $1.75 fee. I will definitely return and with friends in tow.
