So many type of food! Super delicious! Too much choice to try them all 😂. Prices are reasonable since the hoagies is big with a decent amount of meat. Best of all you get to seat in the brewery and have a drink and food. And they have outdoor seating too.

Dont try to pick something off the menu, just start at the top and keep coming back until you've tried it all- unless there's a special and then you should get that since it might only be for a limited time. If they have the burger staxxx, get those too. You don't know it yet but you're going to want more, it's that good. So add a Seoulgirl to your order, so when you finish the first sandwich you can just dive into the second. And add wook fries, everytime. I never knew homemade ranch could be life changing but here I am posting a review. Bonus points- it's in a brewery!

You like to devour a sandwich and experience pure ecstasy that forces you to frantically look for napkins and wet wipes as if you are cleaning up from your latest OnlyFans vid……yup they got that too! Stumbled on this place while stopping by Human Robot a number of months back. Not sure where some of these weak reviews are coming from, as each time I’ve went has been an excellent experience. The sandwiches are amazing (try the Uncle Tony and Baby Wook), and the fry dishes are delightful. Special shoutout to the Burger Staxxx which is pretty much 3 perfectly cooked backyard burgers! Love this place, and staff is always friendly. Even my Uber Eats experiences with Poe’s have been pleasant (this is crazy, Uber Eats is routinely terrible)! Will be back soon 💖

Absolutely banging. 10/10 every time and I always try something different. Anyone who is a real foodie can recognize that this is a top notch sandwich joint. The crustiness of the delicious rolls they use compliments the sandwiches and is honestly my favorite part, anyone who has left a review saying the rolls are “stale” has probably only ever had wonder bread in their life, seriously. Not to mention the food ALWAYS comes out so quick. The experimental flavors and awesome atmosphere set this place aside from the painfully average sandwich shops you find on every corner in Philly. Best sandwiches! Everything is amazing. The chicken cutlets are absolute perfection (thin, crispy, mmmmm), delicious rolls, everything is just so damn good. It's the kind of good where you take a bite and your eyes roll back in your head and you make a weird noise from how delicious the thing tastes. Like, I dream about these sandwiches. The only problem is that they're all so tasty that it's hard to pick one. You have to go with friends so that you can grab a bite of theirs too! Go go go!

The food is delicious, affordable, and fast. I would highly recommend if you’re planning on ordering out ordering ahead Just to make life easier. The only reason I am knocking down a star is because when I went into the actual brewery the place smelled bad and off. I will have to go back to see if that was just a one time thing.

I’ve been wanting to try these sandwiches for ages, their Instagram is always full of great looking photos. I hate to say but the sandwiches were not as good as I’d hoped. The heshy was wet with sauce so the bread was sopping at the bottom, and the gabbygool was very oily. The bread was also a little lacking for me, kind of tough. I might try again, maybe a different sandwich next time. Staff was very friendly and quick service to a table outside.

Delicious Sarcone’s bread with a plethora of flavors to satisfy your taste buds. Cutlets, ribeye, shredded chicken, cheeze wiz, come by to find out more. I recommend placing an order online incase it’s too busy. Either way stop by with some pals, don’t forget to try the dank Human Robot brews to wash it all down!!! The QR code will have the daily specials, while there are menus available for a more tangible experience.

We’ve all heard the stories of people working in kitchens and not wanting to eat the food after- not the case with Poe’s. After working here for months I can honestly say I probably eat the food too much, I love watching the owner and cooks come up with new specials in the kitchen and to this day would still spend my money to get these sandwiches delivered now that I have a new job lol! And the addition of a nice beer to compliment the food makes an awesome business even better.

I was so hyped for this sandwiches and they sound amazing on paper. I tried three different sandwiches and they all were pretty mediocre. The eggplant was tough and fibrous. Pulled pork seems to have no seasoning. And the third sandwich was just bland. Maybe I got them on an off day, but the price didn't match up with the flavor.

Yummy. You get a big hardy sandwich, great flavor, and guaranteed leftovers. Veggies were cooked to perfection. We ordered 3 random sandwiches, all were great, and loaded fries. We spent 60 bux for 4 people including tax and tip. No drinks of course because the second best part about this place is that it's in a delicious brewery, but that's for another review. Kid friendly? Yep No highchair offered but we also didn't ask for one. I'm sure they have 🤔. But they still earned 5 stars 🌟 ✨️🌟 ✨️ 🌟 because the toddler loved the murals and the self serve water. He loved THE BATHROOM which was clean just wet a bit arround the sink, but that is to be expected. He usually doesn't eat his veggies but snuck a few bites from my sandwich and kept asking for more. I happily shared. I don't blame him; it was yummy. He preferred it over the loaded fries. We sat indoors to eat because it was noon at 90° and allergies. We stayed an extra 15min waiting outside after we eat because the kiddo loved the pirate ship themed outdoor seating area. He turned the huge helm and wanted to hang from the mast. We wouldn't eat outside with him even in favorable conditions because it is adjacent to the street, but it was still a treat to let him play and enjoy the hand painted pirate caricature while we made sure he didn't run away into the street. I wonder if the park across the street belongs to the same get-up? I have to come back and find out. We will return whenever we are in the area.

Seriously, this place does some of the best hoagies I’ve had in the city. And I really, really like hoagies. Good rolls, great mix of creative and classic hoagies (Seoulgirl is my current fave but I’ve had most of the menu), burgers are perfect smash-style and meant to be had in satisfying quantities. Owner and staff are super cool and very supportive of other great local businesses in the area. Glad to have y’all in the neighborhood!

The food is absolutely amazing. I got the commish sandwich with the chicken cutlet, a burger, and the loaded fries. I couldn’t believe how good it was that I came back the next day and got the commish sandwich again but I tried the vegetarian style (without chicken cutlet). This place never fails!

Ordered two sandwiches, fries, and loaded fries via UberEats. The sandwiches were great, though they definitely didn’t look as they were pictured in the app. The fries were really subpar for the price you pay. They were flavorless, small and stringy. Also, they didn’t include the side of sauce that was requested. I will say, everything was prepared within the projected time frame. I’d imagine their service is pretty quick if you’re to visit the establishment.

I don’t often get to frequent Poe’s but I’ve never been disappointed when I get the opportunity. I had the Grim Reefer & my boyfriend had the Phonse. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the basil pesto and Roma tomatoes were freaking delicious. Complimented my sandwich so well. A lot of the bad reviews are from those with differing political views because the owner has been blunt (no pun intended 😉) on where he stands on certain matters—so I encourage those who are unfamiliar with this joint to overlook those reviews and give Poe’s a try! Food is fresh, well seasoned, and they have great customer service as well.

My chicken parm sandwich was good (forgot the name). The chicken was a little too crispy, but not a big deal to me. It was delicious!!! Right amount of sauce, cheese and seasonings and the bread is solid. Definitely want to go back and try other sandwiches! There are also a few outdoor tables.

Got some people who dont like the outspoken owner but he does alot for the community. The place has always been clean. Staff is stoned but never rude, Good people. Well worth the trip.

Took my girlfriend here over the weekend. We ordered 3 sandwiches to go. We had to stop somewhere on the way home so it was about an hour before we could eat. They were still hot when we got home and we both finished ours. Saved one sandwich for later that night and it was still delicious after heating it back up. Met the owner and he couldn’t be nicer. Not sure about not serving police is true or not but that is their right to decide and I could care less. I’m looking forward to trying more stuff here.

You guys are the absolute best! I ordered some delicious sandwiches for me and my co-workers. I unfortunately had some car issues and was unable to curbside pick up and bring them to the hospital before our evening shift. I called the joint and the food was kindly delivered straight to the hospital without any issue! Extremely grateful for this type of service as a health care provider during the pandemic. We just moved to the neighborhood, and we have already ordered from Poe’s three times! The “chicken head” is the best chicken sandwich in town! It’s the only take out we’ve gotten since quarantine for a reason. And we met Poe last week; he’s dope. He took time to sit and talk with us, and even messaged us a pic later! That horsey Mayo is the best fry dip ever. 20/10. Don’t hesitate to order!

Had to try this place on their opening day after seeing people hype it up. The French fries are pretty standard for what you’d expect at a sandwich shop or pizza place, not that that’s a bad thing. The smoked Gouda whiz was pretty good, though. I had their vegetarian sandwich, The Commish, and it was really delicious. I’m happy to have this place in the area and I’ll definitely be coming back.

The roast pork and eggplant parm are very good. The chicken cutlets are below average. Burgers are great in a guilty pleasure kinda way (think the way a McDonalds quarter pounder SHOULD taste). I respect the horsey sauce. However their menu just follows a “more is more” philosophy that sometimes feels heavy-handed and gimmicky. Sometimes I feel like they’re compensating for something under all that bacon and sauce... (methinks the below average cutlets). I’m also confused why owner appears to be lashing out at people on here for what appears to be valid criticisms. Coming from someone that agrees with most of Poe’s politics, I can also empathize with the complaints I’m reading. The cutlets need some work.

My favorite sandwiches in Philly. Creative menu, new specials almost daily, all served up with an attitude that is authentic Philadelphia. The Luca is the best meatball sandwich you will ever have, and if you like chicken cutlets, you can’t go wrong with the Mushman or the Baby Wook. The breakfast sandwiches are on point as well. Highly recommend! 😎

Poe’s is fine. The Uncle Tony was kinda a bad cheesesteak, it has a smoked flavor in the cheese wiz which sounds like it’ll be nice but it just kind of overpowers everything else, leaving you only tasting the Smokey flavor and nothing else. The jeggy boi was just a bahn mi with thick, not crunchy bread (which if you know anything about bahn mi, that’s not ideal). The fries were pretty good though. At the end of the day, Poe’s is a pretty average sandwich place that markets itself well. We didn’t have any of the chicken sammies, so maybe that’s where they really shine. Just don’t expect to have your socks knocked off.

I’ve contacted Uber they aren’t trying to refund the money back to me .which is all cool and all I just won’t support you no more . I've been to Poe's many times and always come away pleased. But tonight I tried the fat tony and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful while the cheese and mushrooms completed the tasty sandwich!

I ordered Poe’s for lunch through Grubhub at 11:30 am. Grubhub’s app only allows you to communicate directly with the restaurant, as opposed to being able to contact the driver, so at 1:30 pm I had still not received my order and I contacted Poe’s. They let me know they would contact the driver and call me back. Poe’s called me back in under 10 minutes and let me know that the driver dropped off the food at a house other than my own and that they would be making me a new sandwich immediately. When I got the new sandwich, they also included another sandwich as well. So many other restaurants would have told me I was out of luck or there was nothing they could do since it was through Grubhub. Poe’s took ownership of the situation when it wasn’t even their fault, and even went the extra mile to include an additional sandwich in my order. Mistakes happen, but it is so refreshing to see a restaurant take ownership of a situation and turn it into a positive experience for their customer. In summation, ORDER POE’s (but directly through them and not an app)

This place is in the Top 3 for Sandwiches in Philadelphia with a few in the running for the #1 spot. The Birdman and Skinny Joey are on another level! Pro tip: I suggest picking it up yourself as it is much fresher than having a delivery guy drive around with it for an hour.

Come here all the time. Luca's meatball is the best meat/bread ratio meatball hoagie I've found to date. Baby Wook and Big P are great too. Delicious all around and grab some Human Robot while you're there.
