Reviews of High Street Philly
YC Boey
It's a smallish bistro but serves amazing pastries, sandwiches, pastas and yes pizzas.. seriously! Stayed in Franklin Apartments for more than 2 months and this is a good place for morning coffee etc especially when the weather is better, sitting outside. When it was colder like now we ordered rake aways for dinner and pastas n pizzas were v good especially the latter which come in a pretty big size good for 3 pax. We love the almond and salted maple croissants.. yummy!!

Looked up what's good in Philly since it's my first time here....found this restaurant as a James beard foundation recommendation! Ordered the roast pork sandwich. Wow. It was fantastic! Mix with lean & fatty pork, with broccoli rabe, and provolone. Yup...ate every last bit.

I had to come here because I had a fantastic beef burger at Philadelphia Distilling and found out that they used the burger bun from High Street Philly. I got classic egg and cheese, and as I expected, it was so, so, so good! I wish they'd open a branch in DC, so I can taste this amazing bread on a regular basis. The bread was clearly freshly baked, and it was so soft and tasted so good. + Super friendly staff!
I was a bit surprised because the place was different from the photos I saw on Google; they only had one table indoors and a few outdoor seating areas. It seems like they downsized the restaurant after the COVID outbreak. I hope they can expand their business again soon!

I called ahead for the high street hoagie and it was ready for pickup within 15 minutes during lunch hour. The sandwich tasted amazing and it was enough to save half for later! Would definitely recommend.

Cute little pastry shop. Truly Amazing breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Generous size sandwiches and very flavorful. No variety of coffees to choose from but the house blend is sufficient. Would definitely stop here again if I am in Philly and would highly recommend.
Nicole Banales
Really small but bustling cafe. If you’re planning to eat in and inside be warned that there are only two 2-seaters inside and they are next to the constantly opening door. I ordered the squash and stracciatella pizza and it was sooo delicious. Highly recommend.
Nora Lou
I’m the biggest fan of cardamom so when I saw their cardamom snickerdoodle cookie I was so excited! However when I got it, I taste no cardamom flavor whatsoever, and the cookie itself has a strong egg-y flavor, not in a good way. Disappointed:(

This place is amazing! We were originally going to get high street hoagie but they sold out and recommended the zucchini and stracciatella pizza and spicy jimmy pizza and both were delicious. You can feel that they made the food with love. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend anyone to try it out. There’s indoor and outdoor seating.

This is an amazing sandwich and pastry shop! The Summer Vegetable sandwich was possibly the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and the Noble Grilled Cheese was delicious as well 😋 I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu …

As good as their old location on market st. So glad they’re back. Really interesting and unique flavors. Beautiful and delicious food.
Karl Greve
Excellent roasted pork sandwich, and big. Looks like a good menu of choices.
Tiffany Buturla
I used to really like the grilled cheese here, but they changed the bread to brioche and it is definitely not the same anymore. It’s not as hardy and has significantly less cheese. Also brioche has way more sugar so it was just burnt instead of toasted. Really disappointing compared to the old one.
The desserts are always great!

Very nice people, very moist and delicious sandwiches. Got the Bacok Egg and cheese, forgot to get mayo and was worried it might be dry but ths sandwich is so moist and fresh it didn't even need it. Definitely one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had.
Paul Alexander
Delicious! You order at the counter, and they bring it to you when it's ready. There are only a couple of tables inside and a few small tables on the sidewalk, but that worked for us. Lunch was delicious: the roast pork sandwich was perfect. Tender meat, great flavor from the broccoli rabe and kimchi, served on a fresh-baked roll. Yum.

Well, don’t hesitate - just go inside and while waiting to be seated (definitely there will be a queue) prepare for a real journey. We came there for their pastrami sandwich, because my husband is a true carnivore and a real fan of these. Totally mind blowing thing - saying tasty is like saying nothing at all. It was a masterpiece - high quality bread, delicious pickled cabbage and a very decent portion of exceptionally prepared pastrami. This sandwich is 10/10. I ordered a grain bowl with mushrooms, kale, egg and crispy onion. It was excellent as well. Adding an avocado salsa make it even more delicious. To be really sure of their abilities and devotion take a desk of their breads with butter and jams. They are freshly prepared so you will be satisfied, I promise. Jam and butter - perfection. Breads - even more than perfection, you will taste things you have probably never tasted before. If you need more experience - take their three C drink (coffee, coconut, cardamom), yum and refreshing. Staff was super friendly and very fast, just can’t complain on anything. Prices maybe are a little bit higher than average but hey, they serve there a high quality food in a really great interior and service. Can’t wait for the next visit!

Tired a whole bunch of stuff. Service was good, they comped one of the fried apps because we ordered the other two in that section of the menu.
The pasta was very good, the chicken was super moist and smoky. Hanger steak was cooked perfectly and the onion straws with black garlic cream was insanely good!
Mauricio
Great food and very good ☕️ Coffee

I will start by saying I was a little apprehensive about this place after reading some reviews. But after the first "bites" item from the menu came to the table that quickly wilted away. We sampled from each section of the menu, getting two from each except the main. The portions were a great size and flavorful! I can't say one bad thing about anything we ordered. For the amount of food we ordered, and it was more than two humans could eat in one sitting, the price was very reasonable with 3 cocktails included. It was a very enjoyable meal, would definitely go back. And the service and host were amazing. Sorry took pictures after picking at them, couldn't wait.

This was one of the few places where I have to say the hype was completely justified. I got the Italian market breakfast and my husband got the pastrami on rye. Wow, the food was amazing! My only issue was that everything was so salty, otherwise I’d give this place 5 stars without hesitation. I will definitely be coming back here to try the pastries.
Betty Jones
We had a big group so they said we should order dishes and they would just double the portions for us to share. They timed the plates out throughout the meal. Small, medium, and large. They even let us stay an hour after they closed. All this was very kind🙌. The only thing was the food itself. Some of the small dishes were just wacky. Maybe it was too prestigious or high class for my taste but they tasted funky. Lol. The avocado toast 🥑🍞was great. So we’re the mussels. But the chicken 🐓dish tasted real strange. There was not enough steak 🐄for our huge group either. Which was sad. I’m not saying it’s a bad place. Just a bit odd tasting. 🤨. Also the prices are WAY over priced for what you get. My god. Need to take out a loan after that one! 💰

We showed without a reservation. The staff was nice and very accommodating and suggested we have a drink at next door's restaurant Fork (ran be the same people). The food was delicious. The mushroom plate was exquisite, just be sure to order bread for dipping. The pastas were also superb and so was the lamb special. The dinner was filling and decently priced. Will come back.

Very good food. Love the vibe. Hostess was terrific. Wait service was okay. Had to ask twice for napkin after my first course arrived, which I wouldn’t expect for a high end place like this.
It was dinner. The food runner was terrific.
Richard Pagano
Solid restaurant. Bummed I missed breakfast because the menu looked legit, but lunch was delicious. I got the grilled cheese and a pork cubano sandwich. Both were delicious. The ingredients were very fresh, and the breads were SO good. Great atmosphere too.
Rebecca Lam
Great lunch spot. We had the pastrami in rye and duck sandwiches — succulent, delicious bread and perfect portions. Wonderful and attentive staff — the best part was the hot cup of coffee I was offered while waiting for my table. Highly recommend and worth the 30 min wait for my table!
Daniel Lee
We examined from each segment of the menu, getting two from each with the exception of the main course. The segments were an incredible size and delightful! I can't say something terrible regarding anything we requested. For how much food we requested, and it was beyond what two people could eat at a time, the cost was entirely sensible with 3 mixed drinks included. It was an entirely pleasant feast, would return. Also, the assistance and host were astounding.
suzanne chesser
Great spot! We went there for brand the high marks come because of the quality of the food , imaginative menu, and excellent service! Beware the breakfast potatoes over over salted. But the sautéed broccoli rab and my husband’s Lancaster bologna ( not your Oscar Mayer type!) made up for that. Wish I had time to go back for lunch or dinner! They were slicing the roast pork when we left and it smelled great!
Teresa Hayes
The atmosphere of the place gives off a warm texture, and the staff are sincerely nice to each customer. The dishes there look wonderful and the food there is amazing. Though this place may seem a bit small, it's a great 10/10.
Imjust Me
The Reuben sandwich didn't really have much flavor About packed like a tony Luke's pork sandwich 1/3 of the way
Told the pastrami sandwich had a weird taste to it,left after two bites
The turkey goddess was apparently the best thing I was told . She said good flavor
Pretty good selection of drinks
One that had the turkey said she would try again, other two wouldn't return.
Bjørn Hansen
Great place. They also have a well regarded New York location. I had excellent green pasta with tuna! Great savory-fresh combination. I think the menu changes often. Service was kind and prices fair. Atmosphere was relaxed yet dimly lit. Location was ideal, close to fun areas and not far from the old independence area sights. Get a seat along the wall if all tables are taken and grab a little cookie where you enter.
Joseph Crodelle
Outrageously delicious homemade donuts! Excellent bread makers and yummy egg sandwiches. Highly recommend for the quick breakfast.
tyuiopp74
Food was great but I bet nobody gonna mess up for bacon, scramble eggs and toast😂 it was Saturday morning so kind of busy on the restaurant so we didn’t get a good service at all especially we were sitting outdoor. …
Jeannie C
A charming eatery not too far from Independence Hall. We went there for brunch. It’s a popular place with who I assume are locals. The kitchen is exposed so you can definitely see the care in which the food is prepared and made. The breads look amazing as are their variety of baked goods.
I had their ginger yogurt with pistachio and seasonal fruit (sliced grapes) and Cardamom honey. It was so good!
Husband had their maple ginger scone and he liked it. It looked good. He’d get it again.
The wait wasn’t too long when we went but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a wait for a table on a busy weekend. You can also order items from the to-go counter which is further inside the restaurant.
J B
Super chill place with a live band, tasty food, awesome drinks, and great service. Go early or reserve. It can get packed.
Daniel Sadler
The High Street Hoagie was awesome! Highly recommend.
jaime erin irene
Excellent sandwiches, the guy was GREAT & managed being very busy awesomely & with a really sweet attitude? The lemon shortbread bar thing is so freaking good I'm currently failing to save any for my boyfriend. The pastrami Reuben was SO damn good & I'm pretty particular. Interesting selection of sodas, unique & natural ones. Tiny seating area inside but the guy made it very pleasant & comfy for us. Seriously low key awesome. Looks like a nice place to sit outside once it's warm out. The other woman working seemed really sweet as well, good vibes all around. Seemed a tiny bit spendy but in end was totally reasonable esp for the 💯 quality& the area, + we were starving & couldn't even finish our sandwiches. Y'all rule, will be back.
Johnny Clark
Wonderful place for breakfast/brunch. It feels weird to brag about toast, but they have some of the best toast anywhere. Three very different fresh-baked breads with jam and their cultured butter. Awesome!
April Burrows
The Reuben sandwich!!!! Ahh the bread and pastrami! I'm sad I live 5 hours away because that sandwich was amazing. It's a small space and lots of people were coming and going getting coffee, sandwiches, and fresh bread. Nice staff as well. Will definitely return for that sandwich next time I'm in Philly.
Julie
Great food. Ordered the Italian breakfast with mimosa. All made from scratch. Seating limited but when I came we didn’t wait on Sunday.
Amanda Buoni
Just what a breakfast/brunch should be: great quality and great taste. A feast for the eyes too. The people who work there are sold on it too, and it shows.
S C
HIGH STREET IS SO GOOD. i was never much into avocado toast, but i work down the block from this place and now i'm adddicted to theirs! mushroom soup is also delicious. can't wait to branch out and try their other items!
David Davis
The menu is a hidden gem. Seating is extremely limited in this mostly carryout joint that serves pizzas, sandwiches, and some standout pasta dishes. Bonus: They have a great selection of really unusual soft drinks, like rose lemonade.
Jimmy Bernot
Came from out of town for breakfast and was immediately made to feel welcome like a local. Excellent food and friendly staff. Everything was great: sandwiches are flavorful and delicious, flaky croissants, crispy breakfast potatoes. Coffee is good and strong. People in the store said pizza is great too. It’s clear why it’s a popular spot. I’ll definitely be back.
Jordyn McLeod
This place had some really big dishes and of course a great simple choice of beverages to choose from. The decoration of the place is amazing as getting here was very easy and not too far nor close.
Linda Suskie
This is a little gem. Great sandwiches, which we enjoyed on one of their sidewalk tables. Friendly service too. This is one of our go to punch spots when we're in this part of the city.
Tasha Fierce
Its been a minute since I visited this restaurant. I found it on a humble while visiting Philly. I was looking at all of the options on Gold Belly and found that High Street delivers. They have the best Cinnamon Rolls on the planet. Seriously every now and then, I think about them and the Lord answered my prayers today by letting me find Gold Belly today. I will ordering from you soon!
John Freeman
The modern decor is great, and all the food is very well executed! They have a real actual chef rubning the kitchen too, and it shows.
Zionswasd
Super cozy lil place, and really nice staff. I just got breakfast here the other morn; eggs and bacon sandwich, roasted potatoes; as well as a cup of joe, and it was all really scrumptious. Overall a pleasant experience. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu next time I'm in town!
Alex Caligiuri
Fantastic breakfast here! Had the Italiab Market breakfast- farm fresh eggs, Lancaster bologna, hot coppa, broccoli rabe, rustic bread, and old Bay potatoes with a mayonnaise sauce. Also drank the best hot chocolate I've ever had here!!
Charley Galdamez
They have a delicious bread, butter, and jam plate. Their chocolate banana nut muffin was perfect with coffee and their oatmeal is a healthy offset to all those cheese steaks in Philly.
gerald wrona
The best grab-and-go I’ve ever eaten. An impressive amount of care goes into building each salad and sandwich, they really don’t miss. Their stock of unique healthy beverages is fun too with options I’ve not seen in Di Bruno’s, or similar shops. You’ll be trying many new and delicious things here.
Solomon Yakubov
Great breakfast sandwiches and overall service. Only unfortunate part was the hangry (hungry/angry) middle-aged man who tried to yell across the restaurant to try to get our table faster... #rude
Brandi Royal Washington
Small menu perfectly executed and packed with flavor. Hubby was bummed there was no bacon on the menu but forgot all about it by the time we left.
Rick McIntire
This place is wonderful. Everything is made in house and Jake in front is a wonderful salesman and kind as could be. Food is delicious!
Michael Kane II
While there, a different customer had a problem with thier meal which was promptly addressed. A+ on customer service. The only reason not a five star is I'm not used to such fancy food.
Gabriela Frank
Delicious and can't wait to go back! We went for dinner and I'm looking forward to going back for breakfast. Limited menu but everything is so good!
Quincy S
Service is great. Sandwich was 🔥. Turkey goddess did me good! …
Kyle Liden
Friendly staff and great food always.
P Mundohollo
The classic egg and cheese is a must if going for breakfast. Perfect combination of egg, cheese, and the roll makes it even better. Also suggest trying the old bay potatoes. Definitely a great spot for some good food. Small on the inside, but don't let the size fool you; this place is a gem.
Isabella Aswad
Despite living only a couple blocks away, I tried High Street Philly for the first time today. I'm honestly disappointed I haven't tried it before today- it's such a unique little space with delicious food. The avocado toast was out of this world, and the staff was over the top friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Cchaddie Riddock
Stopped by for a late lunch and the place was packed. Hostess added us to wait list and promised to text us when table was ready. Noticing I was walking with a cane she brought me a chair. Very gracious and warm first impression! The lunch menu was simple and quickly prepared. They even accommodated by wife's VEGAN needs. My chicken salad on thick, home baked bread was delicious and the mushroom soup delicious!
Natalie Thomas
If I was a billionaire I would pay everyone here to move to DC and open this up in my building. It’s so good I almost want to move to Philly just so I can eat here every day. The summer vegetable sandwich is SO GOOD and the whole menu looks delicious! I wish I was here longer just so I could eat through it all. The woman the front counter was also so nice!!
Dar Finn Wright
Nice little hole in the wall kind of feel with fantastic food and just the right amount. Attentive and awesome staff. You won't want to miss this place!
Joanna Fitzgibbons
BEWARE! Location is not as listed in pictures. They downsized and there is no seating. One table available.
Marcus Forst
One of my favorite Philly restaurants. Their Kennett Square Mushrooms dish was my favorite dish in Philly until it was discontinued. Mint chocolate is my favorite dessert of all time. They have excellent gluten free pastas for dinner and sandwiches for lunch (I love the pastrami and grilled cheese). Plus, Avery is the best.
Eugenia Gomez
The turkey sandwich was delicious. Can't wait for the larger dining space to open!
Dustin Webster
My wife and I met friends from out of town here for brunch and had a great experience. We arrived probably around 11am on a Saturday, and I think we had only about a 30 minute wait. What's nice is that they will take your number, and then text you when the table is ready, so that you can walk around a little bit. It's in a good location for tourists, and it was easy to show our friends some of the historical sights after eating.
The service was very good, and the atmosphere had good energy and was comfortable. The menu was concise, interesting, and well done. All of the food was excellent, and I think their bread etc. deserves the hype it gets. They have a small selection of alcoholic drinks, but it's well curated. They had a pretty decent selection of beers, but not all were listed on the menu (maybe just not on the brunch menu?). In any case, there was plenty to keep everyone happy. We'd come back here, especially with visitors from out of town.
Chia Chang
Great place with amazing food, but high price with only a really small dish.
Bruce Mettin
Friendly staff, good coffee and a great assortment of breakfast items. Indoor (limited) and outdoor Cafe seating available.. Would go again for sure

Stumbled on to this place my first time in Philly. Was rainy and was trying to squeeze in a bit of sightseeing on the tail end of a business trip. Just happened to walk by and it looked good so decided to grab a bit of breakfast. Turned out to be the highlight of my trip. What an amazing experience. The menu was amazing. Very hard to decide what to order. The waitress was very helpful and so cheerful. The food was delicious and so much of it. The bread and jams are made in house. I ended up taking some bread with me and the waitress was nice enough to throw in a few jams. If I find myself in Philly again I'll definitely be back.
Anthony P
Smhhh, $20 for a Tempeh & a Boylan soda. It was okay, seemed like it needed a tad bit more of everything on the sandwich to match the density of the bread. It was bread sandwich with a touch of fillings.
If ya got that extra avocado money, do it up here. Just not my cup of tea
Ben Flexner
Grabbed breakfast here on New Years Day. We were the first ones in that morning, after finishing up our run, but they were happy to seat us in running gear and get the kitchen fired up for us. The juices were fresh and flavorful, my wife got the avocado toast and I had The Forager. Watch out, they dont list eggs as an ingredient on this sandwich but it has a thick omelet on it. Wasn't quite what I was expecting but probably my fault for not asking. Overall the food was good, service was good and the wait staff was friendly, despite us being the door crashers.
Eric H
Food is incredible, the staff is really friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely. Their turkey sandwich might be the best sandwich I've ever had. Either that or the sandwich that I've eaten more than any other. I wish there were more places like this in Philly. Such a great cafe style restaurant.
Annie
Reasonably priced takeout Americana style food. Soups were greasy so I would skip but the sandwiches were tasty. Be warned that salads are on the smaller side. If you want a good salad stop at sweetgreen.
John daidone
This is a small and unique restaurant serving up creative and well prepared dishes. We enjoyed breakfast and will consider another meal there before we leave. Service was friendly and on point. Coffee was very good and the fresh baked bread looked wonderful, to bad I was not able to take a loaf home with me. Try it you will enjoy.
Devon Johnson
Great farm to table creative dishes. Good service and cozy atmosphere.
Shane Goudas
We came to this place for breakfast while visiting and were extremely impressed with how good the food was and how nice the service was. Try the Reuben breakfast sandwich (the meat was smoked to perfection). 5/5 and well earned.
Janine Glassmoyer
*updated review* The owner of the restaurant responded to my email and apologized because the manager had been off a few days. That was the reason for the delay. They offered the same items I ordered previously at no cost. A few days after the offer, I called and ordered. I ordered the pesto pizza again and the manager offered for me to change my pasta if I wanted. I tried a different pasta that had anchovy butter, capers, and red cabbage. Both the pizza and the pasta were excellent. I also added cinnamon buns to the order, another excellent choice. This time, instead of caviar delivery , I opted to pick up my food. The restaurant was nice inside and now I’d like to go back for dine-in when available. I’m so glad the issue was fixed. Thank you high street on market for great customer service!

I ordered from High Street on Market through Caviar. I was super disappointed with the amount of salt on both my pizza and my pasta dish I ordered. It was inedible. I hesitated to reach out to the restaurant because I don’t want to complain. After I thought about how disappointed I was and the price point of the food, I decided to write them an email prior to writing a poor review. It has been almost 4 full business days and I still have no reply from the restaurant. The dough for the pizza was excellent however, and our salads were good. It was just the salt content. I will never order from High Street again and I am so disappointed about how much I spent on take out from a restaurant with primarily good reviews but fell flat.

Neat cozy little place, excellent spiced Ginger latte, and forager hamburger with roasted potatoes bread was really good. Presentation was really nice, kind of gives and authentic feel. Definitely worth stopping by here. Plus you can buy some awesome bread in here to go, for sandwiches at home. I was also impressed with their very attentive service, even though they were busy...
Michael Schackwitz
The lunch menu was fairly small, with a couple salads and modest selection of sandwiches and bowls. However what the menu lacks in size, the food makes up for in flavor. The pastrami piled thickly on my sandwich was very tender, smoky, and spicy, and the bread was fantastic. My wife’s grilled cheese had nicely crispy bits of cheese on the edge and the cheddar was very flavorful. The prices were a little expensive ($14 for a pastrami on rye) but the taste was great, many of the products were local, and they make many ingredients in-house. Overall the quality and taste were great and we really enjoyed our lunch.
Joshua Dale
Breakfast Ruben is insane. Great customer service. 💯 …
Colm Boran
The portions are small to medium and the prices are medium-high. But my wife and I shared two appetizers and also sampled each other’s entrees, and everything was excellent and well-prepared. The food was unique - I’ve never seen dishes with the ingredients, but the flavors were fantastic. Bravo!
Matt Farrell
I went here for lunch yesterday, it was so good! This was my second time here but it had been years since my return. I was happy to see that the high quality of food is still present. I had the pastrami on rye, my friend had the vegan MLT which was made of mushroom bacon and my partner had the grilled cheese. Everyone devoured their sandwiches and all said they couldn't wait to come back. The service here was great as well, a very laid back experience but attentive at the same time. I look forward to coming back to High Street on Market!
Robert Dawson
So we came under the impression that it was "one of the hottest brunches in the country" however they do not do brunch. Rather they have a standard breakfast menu and a lunch menu and the two do not overlap. The food was delicious however limited it was but the coffee was served at barely above room temperature and the service was exceptionally slow.
Joshua Dolecki
Very unique and tasty food. My wife can’t stop talking about the avocado toast. The yogurt fruit dish was delicious but less than I am use to receiving when I order yogurt at a restaurant. I am glad I took a recommendation to try it out.
Nitin Paighowal
Love this place since our first visit here. We have been going To High Street restaurant almost every other weekend for brunch. Food is exceptionally delicious and portion is sufficient for brunch but yeah for dinner size may matter. Otherwise in totality it's a good place for brunch. They have outside sitting for people who like to eat in sunshine or with pets
Holly W
Had a late lunch here yesterday and it was excellent. We strolled along Market reading menus, and two diners on the terrace encouraged us to eat here. The menu is creative, the decor warm and inviting, and the service was stellar. Perhaps most importantly, the food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Good place for brunch, nice atmosphere. The menu is a bit small however. The ice coffee tasted really good but was given to us in small glasses with ice and it was around $5 :( I was hounded by a homelessman for 20 minutes out front while waiting for my friends to come and the staff didn't do anything... I was nervous and I couldn't leave. I understand it's not their responsibility but it happened in front of a lot of people and it was for a long time. It was jn front of and between High Street and Fork (which I believe is connected). Staff is really nice.
Frank Perri
I've been coming here for years. High Street has some of the best bread that I've had in all of Philadelphia, (And in Philly, that's saying something.) Which also means that pretty much any sandwich, or baked good is going to be fantastic. My go to for a few months now has been the High Street Hoagie- no exaggeration, I think the best Hoagie I've ever had. To the point where, I have a friend that moved out of Philly and I send them pictures of my high street hoagie to torment them on what they're missing.
However not just sandwiches, their other food is also fantastic. Their grilled broccoli salad has gone through a number of revisions throughout the years, but is also a fantastic choice in my opinion.
If I had to nitpick, their World's Greatest Grilled Cheese I feel is rather overstated, but to be fair I'm not a big fan of grilled cheese sandwiches in general... so take that as you will.
Overall, one of my favorite spots for lunch in Philly. Hard to wrong here.
SGH
Had three small plates, all very different, interesting and fresh. White anchovies in spicy sauce, grilled peaches and oysters with long hot pepper sauce on the side. Good martini with locally brewed gin. Nice service and reasonable prices. Will be back.
Abby Cooper
Great place for a date or dinner with a small group of friends as recommended by Seated. Ordered the baked oysters and two pasta plates. Everything was full of flavor. Cocktails were refreshing. Portions are very small though, so grab an extra small plate or order dessert.
Heather J. Chin
Baked goods are amazing, homemade dips are fantastic, friendly service, unique local drink brands. Salads and aome pre-prepared items seem on the higher cost side, but have heard good things about the sandwiches.
Cecilia
I expected better quality of food for what we received. It touts itself as a trendy bakery cafe place but the food wasn't up to trendy standards or even close to hitting any interesting flavour combinations (the flavour combinations were frankly strange and didn't taste good together). I'll happily pay the prices they charge but not for what was served. The server also look like he didn't want to be there too - maybe he was just having a bad morning. Gave it 3 stars because my little one enjoyed his meal otherwise it would have been 2 stars to be honest, but he's 2 and a half so not sure if he's endorsement is a plus for this place. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Sharon Harms
The ginger yogurt with pistachios & grapes was divine - A flavor profile I fell in love with and can’t wait to replicate at home. Crispy potatoes with old bay seasoned mayo out of this world, the Lancaster bologna sweet yet savory and perfect on the Hickory Town egg sandwich as well as the breakfast plate. Coffee is excellent, pumpkin coffee cake superb, atmosphere wonderful, service 💯➕... can’t wait to come back.

Great place for Turkey sandwiches and Salads! Excellent bakery. More of a vegetarian orientation
Max Castillo
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Brussel sprouts were extremely good and uniquely done, the half chicken was massive with a juicy inside and crispy outside, and the butterscotch pudding made memorable by the addition of farro. Service was also great. Will definitely be returning on my next trip to Philadelphia.

Visiting from Brooklyn and stumbled upon this place for our first meal, lunch. We each had a cup of gazpacho, which was fresh and vinegary and delicious. Came with a crusty piece of bread. Loved it! Then I had the small broccoli salad with grapes and marcona almonds, which I knew would be delicious (it was, great mix of flavors) but I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion! A large must be huge. My mom had the beet-cured salmon sandwich and loved it. For dessert, we went for the peach pie, and inhaled it, licking the plate clean. Such a nice lunch spot. We also had the sparkling rosé. Forgot to take photos ;-)

Just perfect. High Street nails it at all 3 meals. I love the house-made yogurt for breakfast, the broccoli salad and cauliflower soup for lunch and, let's face it, ANYTHING they make for dinner. Their pastas are just out of this world, and I think at this point, I've ordered the entire menu. Never a disappointment. The flavors are always killer.
Don't skip dessert. Don't skip the bread board. Plan to eat a lot. High Street is worth it.
Michael N
I've only been here for dinner but looking at the menu it seems like breakfast would have been a better option. The dinner menu was small and a bit expensive. The food was excellent though. Great breads and the mushroom dish was out of this world. I also really enjoyed the crab pasta. Great service. Excellent wine selection.
Ben Williams
Can't say enough about the meal we had here. Simply delicious. Amazing what they were able to find sticking to their local sourcing rule, and the deliver was not just tasty, but surprisingly inventive! Much respect for that. Otherwise, cool decor and fantastic service. But the star is certainly the cuisine.
alexlam24
Yes it looks like a millennial place, but the food is actually decent. The lighting inside prevents you from posting photos on your Instastory so good job at preventing Becky from taking 1 bite of her food and then leaving. Now onto the food, it's good. Quality is good, seating arrangement is decent for the restaurant size, and the ingredients used are high quality. Nothing is freezer burned and the pastries are made in front of you.
Ron T
Great food and service! Breakfast was excellent!
Miaski Grandi
This is now my favorite breakfast place in the city! Try the yogurt w Pumpkin butter & granola, it's delicious. The bread will have me doing a five mile run & a workout today. The waitress was a doll. We'll definitely be back. 😍 …
Jung-Hwa Ha
Food was too salty for us. They also did not provide any explanation of the menu. They had "salad/soup for additional $4" written in the sandwich menu, and we ordered soup thinking that it would be a hot soup. It was not. It was a cold cucumber-based soup. I wish we had asked the waiter what the today's soup was, but still it would have been nice if he let us know since it's not usual to have a chilled cucumber soup for soup of the day.
TJ Da Re
Quaint little place with great food and staff. Taking home a loaf of bread is a must🤗 …
Pernille Hemmer
This place is a gem. I go here for lunch every time I'm in Philly. It never fails to please. The food is yummy and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Even my husband who is not a foodie loves this place. Oh and don't forget to take home a leaf of the roasted potato bread! Out of this world.
Capote Cádiz
I tried breakfast once and lunch once, really tasty and the coffee was surprisingly good.
Keri Benton
Had an evil twins grapefruit goose and fried brussel sprouts salad. It was delicious. Highly recommend both. Close to historic sites and great place to take out of town visitors. Had gluten free offerings.
Connor Pignatello
The atmosphere is great and the service is very attentive and is outstanding. The Kennett square mushrooms are amazing and are the best food I've ever had. No joke. I even got bread to clean up all the sauce left in the bowl
Tisha Crippen
We used the High Street on Market to provide breakfast and lunch for a conference we held at the Wyndham. The food selection was very high end, but came at an affordable price. We appreciate the staff for delivering 5 start service and presentation. As a non-profit, it felt great to know they were willing to work with our budget the best way possible without compromise.
valerie castile
Great Location, Exciting Crowd of people With the Largest Selections Of Foods, Don't Hurt Yourselves, So Much Delicious foods To choose From🍉🍞🍕🍟🍔🍱 …
Olandra Lickter
Yuuuuum! Delicious and healthy grain bowls. They substituted my grains for a phenomenal gluten free toast. Friendly and helpful service. Cozy and open atmosphere, not too loud. Recommend!
Adam Koontz
High Street is a great breakfast spot. They serve Rival Bros coffee which is a great local Philly roaster. The breakfast sandwiches are made with excellent fresh baked breads. The old bay potatoes were delicious as well. Highly recommend!
Alexander Davis
Great local shop. Was happy to open early for us. Coffee was great. Croissant was perfectly baked and flaky and the scone was rich and dense!
Jonathan Kelly
Excellent baked goods...HOWEVER...at best a 50-50 chance they will have any left by the time you show up. They have been sold out of chocolate croissants on my last four visits (all before 9am). I'm a local and want to be a regular, but if the chances of getting baked goods for my walk to work are so slim, why would I bother going back?
I.E. Xam
Pretty good pastrami sandwich. A lunch companion enjoyed the short rib sandwich. Some items on the menu were not available including some beer selections. Service was haphazard at times. I want to return to try other menu items.
Jessica Villarreal
The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great! The 4 star rating is due to the service. Our server took a long time to come to the table, positioned everything she dropped off awkwardly so we had to keep moving plates and glasses so nothing would fall or get knocked over, she forgot items we ordered and didn't even apologize for the mistake, and when we asked for the checks (plural) she didn't clarify and only dropped one check. All of these are small missteps which I might normally forgive but she just seemed so aloof and like we didn't matter that I couldn't let it go. Ultimately the food is enough to bring me back in the door and I will definitely go back.
Jesse Meyerson
Good food, a bit pricey for the portions, menu somewhat limited. But tasty and interesting options.
Rulrand Wiehl
The food was really very nicely prepared, to be sure, but the ridiculously ( and I am using the right word) small portions turned me off completely. Filled up on their excellent bread, but really, no one is impressed anymore by the smallest of sizes-thinking that makes it special somehow. The portions are not even minimally acceptable. They are embarrassing.
I will not return anytime soon as there are many other fine inventive places who recognize people get hungry and need more than a third of a small plate worth to eat.
William Szewc
I had the american special, my son had the whole grain Belgian waffle. Food was delicious - service was VERY slow. Walked in, seated immediatly by hostess, waited over 10 min for server to greet us and take drink orders. No offer to freshen my coffee. Server asked if we wanted anything else and went to get our check. Left the floor for a couple minutes, got another tables check, cashed a third table out, cashed the second table out, left the floor for a few minutes, took a new tables order, then remembered she was getting our check. Probably 10 - 15 min elapsed. Would still go again - scrambled eggs were fluffy and moist, back was thick and crisp, house maid artisan toast and butter was delicious. Worth the wait - dont be in a rush.
Billy
Food is good. Service is usually good.
Exceptions to those rules do exist though. Such as this past weekend's refusal to let me order food from the lunch side of the brunch menu because it was 11:21am, not 11:30am. If it's that important to stick a timeline more rigid than Tokyo's train schedule, just wait 9 minutes to fire the order.
Memories of missing breakfast at Mickey D's by 2 minutes as a kid were triggered. Thankfully, I now contain my emotions better than I did when I was 7.
Jordan Gehman
I’ve only been here for brunch, but the food is amazing. The BEC egg sandwich and Old Bay fries are so good. Rival Bros coffee tops it off. Highly recommend this place.
Josepf Haslam
Fun, eclectic food. A touch on the pricey side but worth it. Some people go there just for their bread, which is amazing. I have had dinner and brunch there and both were excellent. Memorable selections well executed.
Tate Perazzelli
Everything is high quality at this gourmet eatery. The takeout breads are some of the best in the city. The coffee is always freshly brewed. Some locals list this as their top spot.
David Syracuse
Really tasty place for breakfast! Attentive service and great food. They offer good coffee drinks and a nice tea selection. There is a small outdoor seating area if you are so inclined.
Mony Kiem
High Street on Market has exceptionally customer service and beautiful interior decor with an open kitchen format that invites you to see the chaos of the kitchen. We ordered 4 drinks and 3 dishes which included: the (1) Scallops Ceviche, didn't taste as fresh but still good, (2) Squid Ink Gnochetti, flavorful and cooked just right, (3) Primal Supply Sausage - a little underwhelming with sauce that tasted like bottled mustard. With that being said, I considered the food to still be worthwhile to try. The caveat here is that the price to value and quantity ration didn't feel optimized and I left underwhelmed. Still worth checking out if you're in the Old City area.
Stephen Whitley
Such wonderful food. I love when a highly praised restaurant lives up to it's billing. I had a pork chop that was stunningly good. I should not have finished it but I could not make myself stop.
If you get a chance, GO!
Samuel Eshelman
Amazing variety, they were able to cater easily to vegan options. Food would have been better if it came out at right temperature, yet the ingredients and selection made up for that fact. Honey chicken = 👎 Duck carbonara = 👍👍😍😍 …
Matt Easley
My partner and I shared three courses with two drinks for under $100. Remarkable value for the incredible quality. We couldn't imagine how good Thai styled brussel sprouts could be. The subtle goat and pistachio flavors in the wild mushroom scarpinocc or the braised short rib perfect on a cold evening.
John S.
Wonderful bakery/cafe serving a variety of tasty breads and pastries. Breakfast and dinner menus offer carefully prepared selections. Very nice atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff.
Will Vatis
The best sandwich I've had in Philly! I had the Roast Pork, also tried the Bahn Mi, both were great.
Artak Varzhapetyan
The High Street on the Market is a nice little bakery with awesome coffee (forget Starbucks - enjoy and support locals!).
Staff is nice and friendly. Food is home made. And toilets are clean and nice.
We really loved it this place!
J Czaruk
Sweet baby Jesus you won't find a better breakfast anywhere. Get the waffles. Definitely get the waffles. Also, get a breggy sandwich with their potatoes. You won't be disappointed. Staff was friendly and coffee was warm. 5/5 would recommend. 5/5 would eat there everyday.
Barry Lien
Had a good lunch, this is sesame ceasar with poached egg. Very tasty!
Ashley James
The pulled pork was fantastic but the broccoli rabe relish, while delicious, was hard to chew. I will most definitely be back for the duck cubano and the pastrami. My only other hesitation is the price, they are not cheap! Think $15 lunch-sized sandwich, a bit pricey.
Ernie P.
Friendly, quaint. Can stop by to pick up pastries or an elegant loaf of bread.
Sebastian Arrese
Only had a few hours to grab breakfast and explore a bit of Philly and I’m so happy I decided to try High Street!
Outdoor seating, coffee and a killer egg breakfast sandwich, the Hickory town. Just go try it.
Shay Slifko
Walked by looking for a lunch spot and were pleasantly surprised by the fresh, light dishes. I had the farro, wild rice, goat cheese salad and my boyfriend had the roast pork sandwich on their in-house-bakery bread. Finish with the chocolate croissant and cold brewed iced coffee and your heart will be content. The servers were knowledgeable, very pleasant, and made us feel like we could relax in there all day. Usually lunch spots make me feel rushed, but their pace is perfect. I already recommended to my Philly friends to check it out.
Anthony Maiorana
I was here for lunch due to a recommendation from a friend and it was awesome. I had a salad and my friend had a sandwich and we were both a bit skeptical at how small the portions were but we didn't feel hungry at all afterwards.
Would definitely go again if I lived in Philly
Dawn Campbell
Friendly service and great food. I had the pastrami on rye and it was very good and it was also large so it definitely filled me up. The bread was very fresh which always makes the sandwich that much better.
Heather Cammarata-Seale
My husband and I came here for lunch the other weekend because we were in Philadelphia and Bon Appetit named High Street on Market the #2 Best New Restaurant in the Country. I am a sucker for a good sandwich and what I got here was an AWESOME sandwich. The eggplant with roasted tomato sauce and aged cheddar was fantastic. Being not over stuffed, you get to clearly taste each ingredient. And, the seeded semolina bun was the star of the show. And, please, if you go, don't forget to order some side salads. The cauliflower and roasted squash were awesome.
Chris LaRoche
Really good food. Got seated at the community table though when there were empty tables for 2 around. Not sure what we did to deserve that. Otherwise, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was excellent.
Mya Matos
Great food! So creative and everything was delicious! Staff was knowledgeable and pretty friendly. The location is easily accessible on foot, street parking can be a challenge here. Would definitely recommend!
J Hebner
greasy breakfast sandwich. overindulgent. better off getting a breakfast sandwich at a bodega or cart. not worth $10
Thrasherdtmwtbr
Italian breakfast unlike any other tradition breakfast I've ever had. Flavors are amazing and rustic. Makes you feel like you are having breakfast in 1880. Love it!
Bryan J
Really delicious food, meticulously made. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you paid for. I really enjoyed their cold brew as well. Best I've ever had!
Megan Kelly
Delicious, real food! Loved the small plates to share and the options for vegetables as an appetizer. The kids loved the steak and baked potato plate. Wonderful, attentive service as well!
Wendy Brown
Attractive, pleasant staff, interesting menu options. Husband had very tasty sandwich. My bread sampler not as delicious as hoped ... personal taste
Andrew Kokinda
Honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had , I dont have anything bad to say at all about this place. The food is high quality and fairly priced. I almost ordered another sandwich to go because it was so good.
Suzy Thornley
All I can say is YUM! I love having High St. so close by. They make the BEST bread! It you haven’t checked them out yet, I highly recommend you do so!
Holly H.
Wow! Fantastic food. My bf had the turkey sandwich and loved it. I ordered the Italian Market breakfast. Definitely want to come again next time in town.
Pete Lurquin
Coffee was good. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. No complaints. Bakery looked incredible. Loved how the sandwiches used fresh baked bread.
nmnative505
Super happy we happened in to this fabulous little place. The food was amazing, so fresh and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. Will make a point to eat here again the next time we’re in town.
Wendy Remig
Great little farm to table restaurant in the heart of Philly's Historic District. Very clean and quaintly decorated. Industrial/ rustic decor. Food was different and delicious! Highly recommend.
Brian Chu
Went for breakfast. Really inviting space. Delicious bread. Hickory sandwich, beet-cured salmon, and Italian market breakfast were all solid. Wish they had a few more non-sandwich breakfast options.
Drew Smith
Great food and great service. Not much more you can ask for
Teya T
Pastas were to die for...so good! Totally worth the wait till dinner hours, which are strange, and the random closure for dinner on mondays and the 1.2 mile walk from midtown...super good! Excellent, but limited wines...
Kate S.
Tiny place so either go off hours, to go or plan to wait! It's worth it though, great food and service/always had a topped water glass and coffee cup! Will definitely be back as I ran out of room and desperately wanted to try the baked goods
Minh Chau
I like the small space and open kitchen layout. It gives the restaurant a nice ambiance.
Food was rich and delicious - green humus got a pass, the potted shrimp did as well (anything with foie gras receives an auto pass), the mushrooms were soaked in an incredible sauce, the squid was grilled with a slight crunch, the angry crab pasta was packed with flavor, and the wagyu was a melt in your mouth phenomenon.
Wim May
EDIT:
I love high Street. But it does still seem like the "casual" stepsister of fork and it honestly has potential to be much more astounding. Spoiler: I don't like fork. It's boring.
If High Street were seen as a sort of food lab for producing / evolving tried and true dishes for Fork, the experience would be of regular interest. Right now, it's a fine standard with good food - but they play things a bit safe.
OG review 3 years ago: Better and more unique to me than Fork next door (also owned by this restaurant group) but at a very reasonable price point and definitely a great brunch option.
Michael Flinn
Had lunch here. The breads are wonderful. Enjoyed the poopy seed rolls. And the potatoes. They were to die for. Bloody Mary was good. Service excellent.
Williams Mason
If you want something a little more casual than the original Fork nextdoor, this is perfect. Grab the food to go or just grab a seat at the communal table or one of the teo outside cafe tables.
The food is basic but gourmet at the same time. Basic outmeal comes with a heavily floral honey, toasted hazlenut granola and a fragrant orange marmalade. The bread board comes with three hearty slices of housemade artisan varities with a house made butter, and a not-too-sweet apple butter.
The sandwiches for lunch are equally delicious and all are worthy of checking out.
The service is almost overly friendly with waiters sharing tables and all very eager to help with a smile. Not pushy or annoying, pretty much perfect for their casual atmosphere.
The only reason for missing a 5th star is the somewhat limited menu thats missing the basic brunch staples. Eggs how you want, some hearty bacon slices or eggs benedict. Its a great choice when you're both open to just picking anything delicious off the menu, but a small issue when you have a picky friend who just wants an eggwhite omelette.
Bill Biskup
Great cozy rustic restaurant. Locally sourced food and even the wine is who knew that Lehigh Valley made a delicious sparkling rose'! Deliciously prepared and presented.
jamal janjua
Excellent service, amazing food.
Steve Hill
Not impressed. My greatest grilled cheese of all time was actually the worst. The butter on bread was burnt. Our waiter never came back to check. I think it's overrated.
Iris Wright
Delicious. Not just were the dishes tasty, but they were creative. I'd never eaten anything quite like them before. The portions are small, but I found they were the perfect amount and that the price is worth the quality.
MK
Soooooo good!!! Tried the sandwiches and hand pies and we went back the next week because they nailed it the first time and were just as good the second time! Very friendly service.
Porty Chapmen
With my sights set on said cubano, I walked up Market St. to my destination. It was a nice day, so I decided to sit outside [clearly, al fresco is an option in the summer months]. When my order was taken [which was definitely in a timely fashion], my waitress regretfully informed me that the cubano had been 86'd on that particular day. "No matter",
Raashida Fleetwood
I wasnt a big fan of the old bay crab spaghetti. It almost had the after taste that you get from spaghetti-O's. And I found a lot of crab shells, which was quite concerning because the dish also includes breadcrumbs so i may have eaten some shells.
Katelyn Inman
Fantastic meal. Local ingredients done right.
Dan Muldoon
New and interesting. Had lunch here, have the grilled cheese. Staff is wonderful, helpful, pleasant, and well-informed. Good wine selection.
Brenda Tuggle
The food was well prepared and fresh. I liked the small space and open kitchen layout and so did my husband. Nice ambiance and staff as well.
Jean-Luc Meurisse
Excellent meal there I had the Grilled American Wagyu which is really outstanding (medium rare beef sirloin). Service was perfect; there is a unique atmosphere with the open kitchen. Great place!
Shane Ward
Not much seating and service was slow but a cozy place and food was worth the wait
Richard Cassell
Delicious food and friendly service. Some dishes are a little salty and wish they sold bottled mineral water. Other than that, the vibe is great!
Alexander Platt
Good coffee, exceptional baked goods, and remarkable sandwiches. The formal dinner menu is good but breakfast and lunch is where they really excel.
Shaina Mack
Delicious food, delicious homemade bread and a fun and fresh atmosphere. Menu items are very unique and use seasonal ingredients. This is a great place to take a date!
JP Sistenich
Hickory sandwich is amazing. Duck meatball sandwich is tasty as well. Service is super friendly, bread is out of this world.
Giardiniera(sp?) is a light and delicate accompaniment.
Coming back!
Andrew Heiss
Usually come here just to pick up a loaf of freshly baked bread. Bread is always delicious (perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside) and staff is always friendly.
Irina Gutierrez
If you're craving for a really good breakfast I absolutely recommend this place, I can say that they have the best sandwich I've ever tasted, no regrets!
Brittany Huettl
Very cute place, excellent food. The flavors were amazing, the potatoes are on the salty side but everything else was so good!
Brian Giallorenzo
Really delicious, well made brunch and breakfast. Their in house bakery bakes everything fresh daily. Great coffee from rival bros and awesome breakfast sandwiches.
David King
Amazing little place with great sandwiches and side dishes. Fresh made breads, locally sourced meats and produce. Simple menu, courteous staff and no friggin TV's...yeah.
Lily de la Torre
Everything is delicious but pretty much everything is really rich. Don't go overboard here. Drinks are delicious here too. It's worth it to go early for brunch.
roy frenkel
Good coffee, great bakery. Yummy sandwiches, hearty and satisfying options for both breakfast lunch or in between. Nice decor.
Rafal Gusciora
Call ahead, this place gets packed. Great for breakfast and lunch.
Prathima
Before this was known by name 'FORK' & now 'HIGHSTREET'.
Here you can expect good food and good ambience. Their Bakery is well known among the residents of oldcity and Society hill.
Also quite popular at farmer's markets all around city of Philadelphia.
Chris G
Everything was amazing. The service, food, bloody Mary’s, and the environment. I ordered the forager egg sandwich and it blew me away.
juan pablo lira
Food was excellent. But charging $14 for a bowl of plain pasta for one of my kids who wanted something simpler didn’t seem right.
Pooja Desai Patel
Have only been here for lunch. Service is kind but slow. The food is always fresh but they make it a bit difficult to make any substitutions, especially for vegetarians.
chanel vitale
The perfect brunch. Go for the red eye Danish to start and don't miss you on my favorite breakfast sandwich- the Hickory Town. So delicious.
Kurt Schlachter
I needed breakfast, they had breakfast, and I got breakfast. Old Bay was the Old Bay on top (and that was good). I would eat breakfast here again if they were to again have breakfast. Safe bets.
Anton Grosh
Food was ok but nothing really impressed us. Sausage was cold inside, they brought another one and took pastry order off the check whcih was nice.
James Forbes
Great place for pastries and breads, and they have a unique selection of breakfast items on hand as well. The coffee is from Rival Bros., which is awesome!
AnnaMaria (Rhearay)
Very nice staff .
Good 😊 food and they delivered to me next door in the Franklin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kevin Broomell
We went here for breakfast and the food was very good. Very fresh, well seasoned and well prepared. Service was a tad on the slow side, but overall very good.
P Chen
The service was good, and the staff was very friendly
Minus one star because the food was over salted. Not just my dish, everyone at my table. Maybe it was an off night...
Laura Albright
This was perfectly quirky. Crispy capers? Check. Beet marinated lox? Check. Amazing dark pretzel bun? Double check. Very limited seating but def try it.
Jim Brighter
The duck cubano is fantastic, perfectly toasted bread and well balanced flavors. Pretty good coffee as well.
Kent Eisenhuth
This place is great. The people are awesome and the sandwiches are amazing. The pastrami hash sanwhich is probably the best sandwich I've ever had.
Tom Crane
Had the pastrami in rye. Really really good sandwich. Bread was baked fresh and meat was highest quality.
Isaiah Kerstetter
High Street on Market serves excellent sandwiches with original sides in a comfortably relaxed atmosphere. It may be a bit pricey but it is well worth it.
Lisa Sawenko
Highly recommend this place. All farm to table food, quaint atmosphere, fast service, good size portions, reasonably priced. A must to go to!
Libby Derenthal
We ate here for breakfast. The food was good, not sure I would go out of my way for it. I got the oatmeal. Waitresses seamed very grumpy and unhappy to be there.
Kim Pelle
One of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. If you have time (and feel hungry) go for the "Leave it to Us". The food is unbelievable.
Melissa Flagg
The pasta was really superb and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Clarke Thomas
Quirky country style foods. Shared plates is the motif for dinner. The prix fixe with accompanying drinks is a better deal for 3 or more.
Sue Heck
I ordered a cheese steak and it was soo good! The girl behind counter was friendly and funny, welcoming! Def a must go to!!!
Simon Jung
Roast pork sandwich all the way!! This will be the greatest sandwich you ever eat!! Philly cheese steaks are for tourists; THIS is the real deal!!!
Iain Galloway
Carefully prepared artisan dishes. I was shocked at how delicious the squab was. Would never have thought of trying it, but the waitress described it so well.
Daniel Loy
Unbelievable atmosphere and food. Genuinely the bet sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm not shilling, this place was bananas good.
RR W
Ordered delivery and had a great experience. Friendly service and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.
Frank Rotonta
Good overall bit their choices and food and beverage are very limited. I had the fish. It was excellent.
Seth W
Good food, I went for brunch and wasn't impressed compared to some other options nearby, I would still like to try dinner here though.
Dan Rennie
Extreamly friendly and helpful staff, great bread, good food. Average portion sizes and small menu. Will come again.
Greg Myer
Great atmosphere. Good bread and entrees. Pasta a little salty but overall a great place.
Benjamin Rizzo
Very good starters, the brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal. Good fresh pasta and cocktails.
Michael Arguelles
Food, wine, and service were all excellent. It's Tapas style so it's best if you try numerous plates and share.
Michael R
Fantastic breakfast / lunch/ dinner spot extension to Fork. 4Runner in farm-to-table dining run by the fabulous Ellen Yin.
Justin Nelson
An imaginative and flavorful menu of options. Especially enjoyed the presentation and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely visit again on subsequent visits to Philly.
Charles Bono
Not my cup of tea but they do a nice job. The manager was great but a little too pricey for dinner and the food was good but not incredible. 4 stars due to cost.
Valeria Weiss
Love it! We went for lunch, had asparagus chilled soup and salad. Very tasty, no waiting, healthy.happy
Ron Walker
Awesome dining experience. I had a wonderful breakfast that was well prepared. I shall be returning.
Ru-Gang Xu
I enjoy this place for brunch and their bread all day. I tried dinner once but thought the food pacing was slow and too salty.
Nathan Hancock
Amazing flavors, beautifully presented dishes, excellent service, but the portions are surprisingly small for the price.
David Blomquist
Solid food and wine list, very solid service, all
In a nice upbeat atmosphere. Crab pasta was spot on!

Went late Saturday, got seated quickly for a stellar meal. Entrees kinda small but stellar.

Food always good. Just had avocado on toast. Delicious. A little pricey relative to competition.
Bulldog Mom
Think of a enormous amuse bouche.

Good, imaginative food, though portions are a bit small. Great for sharing a number of dishes.

Stopped by for Lunch on Monday. Best PASTRAMI ON RYE that I have had in a long time. Great friendly service.

Delicious bread and sandwich. The portions are big and it's a good casual spot to eat in at.
James Lorenc
Go here every year at least once when we're in town for Eagles games. Love their breakfast.

Great bread, huge sandwiches, worth the 20 min weekday lunch wait. You can also order bread and coffee to-go at the counter.
