Reviews of Hatch & Coop
Stopped in for a quick lunch on way back to office. Very delicious grilled chicken sandwich. I got it as it came and the sauce was very nice (I usually don't get sauces).
I thought it was a breakfast place from the name hence I never stopped in. But I'll definitely be back.
This chicken sandwich was pretty good, I enjoyed it. The fries and chicken poppers were also pretty good. Not anything too special just your standard chicken sandwich. I might come back if I’m nearby and in center city. Of course it’s expensive, it’s in center city.
Stumbled on this place by accident. I am really glad I did. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy payment system. The order was made very quick. Which is good for people on lunch time. Boy oh boy the sandwich was amazing. I the BHM bacon honey mustard. The chicken was fried perfectly. I will definitely be returning.
24 hrs and every order is made fresh. If it's 3 am on a weekday and you're wasted out of your mind. Try your best to get your drunk self here for some amazing food. A hangover prevention and/or cure.
Love this place. Didn't realize what I've been missing it all these years. Best fries in the area. Chicken is amazing good. I work around the corner and we order to-go. They are smart and considerate in the way things are packed. Everything (dressing, slaw, etc.) comes on the side so that you can add to the sandwich when you are ready to eat. That's fresh.
Have enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff that does great customer service. Looking forward to many more meals from Hatch and Coop.
Hatch and coop’s breakfast sandwiches are good. I tried the chicken sandwich …and it even more incredible!
The chicken was a great size for the Sandwich and well fried. I loved adding the sides to the sandwich. Tyler is a great new owner in Philly! He Really cares and took the extra step to deliver it. Thanks Tyler!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. First of all, food was absolutely fantastic and easily 10x better then chic fil a and ALSO CHEAPER. Everything is fresh, the chicken is godly. The employees were some of the nicest, most dedicated people I have met as they are open 24/7 and have about 3 or 4 guys running the store. The owner was such a cool guy and really blessed us. The vibe of the restaurant was of that where I could sit in there all day and chat with people. Great music playing and even better service. I HIGHLY recommend everybody gives this place a try.
Great food delivery! Prices were cheaper in the beginning, but there is always a great sale! Love their special sauce and tots. Grateful you can now customize your order better. The fried eggplant is soooo good, it has an amazing battered crust!
This place is awesome!! You have to check it out. They have great chicken sandwiches with unbelievable sauce and fixings. And, the fries are great too. The place is open 24/7 so it's the perfect spot for some late night grub in center city Philadelphia. Check it out and you will not be disappointed.
We Already Hooked To This Spot With Some Great Service Fried Pickles and Chicken Bites That Delight The Taste Buds @snapshotanderson #SightSeeker
I’ve had my fair share of chicken sandwiches but damn was this great. Chicken is crisp to perfection, and it wasn’t greasy at all. Not to mention their signature sauce is BANGIN’! The new owner, Tyler hand delivered the order himself and you can tell he really cares about the improvement of Hatch & Coop. 10/10 can’t recommend this place enough!
I had the fish sandwich with slaw and their signature sauce it was one of the best fish sandwiches I ever had! The sauce and slaw are amazing. Can't wait to try more things on their menu.
Service was amazing , staff was quickly very kind and explained the menu. The chicken sandwich was huge and soooooooooooo delicious however lol they need to add a spicy chicken sanwhich to the menu. They do offer spicy sauces with is a great accommodation. It’s only if you don’t like sauce and you want it spicy the your sol. Overall great spot , will be trying the breakfast next.
I had a wonderful experience eating from Hatch and Coop along with my coworkers. All the fried foods have a wonderful crisp crunch and bread used for the chicken sandwiches is subtley sweet and soft. The biscuits on the biscuit sandwich lost thier structure while eating, I wish they had a little more fluff and flakeyness but can't have it all! The new owner was very nice to a fellow coworker and is doing a great job of getting the word out about the new service-first mentality of the shop! Would recommend
I wish I can give this place more then 5 stars. Food is amazing and consistent, the staff is very nice as well. I recommend the chicken and waffle sandwich.
The signature sandwich I ordered was $10, the super small portion tater tots was $3.5, super small portion popcorn chicken was $4.5. Honestly, the chicken sandwich was way overpriced because the chicken was quite thin compare to other places around the city. The sauce is really good but still, overpriced...
A friend of mine took me there the other day to cheer me up after the passing of my brother. I was not enthused but when I ordered my food and got it...I was pleasantly surprised my friend ordered the chicken and waffles sandwich with fries I ordered the flounder with coleslaw and fried egg on it with the fried pickles everything was fresh and delicious I was so impressed me being a chef myself it was simplicity at its finest
Food was good. Fried pickles were overfried. Got a little attitude when I didn’t know to use the machine to order, even though it was my first time there.
Food is always fresh and delicious. When I visit the store, it’s never crowded which makes me confused since the food is so good lol. This is a hidden gem right in Center City. Also, staff are very friendly and efficient.
Best breakfast sandwich I've had in downtown Philly! Owner is incredibly nice and accomodating. Check this place out for sure!
Great sandwich and great hours too. I work construction, night shift, finding great food this cheap and great quality is rare. This place is great, try it
Okay but damn this whole place just has such an authenticly comfortable vibe, and I keep forgetting to take pics of the chicken sandwiches before I scarf them down 😅 but believe they pop
5 stars. Food is great idk why people said they didn’t like the fries I loved them! $6 for a sandwich is amazing compared to other spots in the city and definitely worth a try.
I thought this place was delicious. I had the Thanksgiving sandwich and my wife had a fried chicken BBQ sandwich. Excellent on both accounts.
I had lunch here this afternoon. Hatch and coop were having a grand opening and it was crowded since there was a free drink (la croix) and fries included with the sandwich. I got both the coop chicken and the eggplant sandwich and they did not disappoint. The chicken was both moist and crispy while the eggplant had breading which made it crispy. Overall not bad for my first visit here.
This place has some of the best food in the area. Very fast and friendly service (<3 mins). Open late night.
Food was awesome but I paid $21 for literally half of a sandwich, tots, and a can soda
Had a philly with brisket, just the right mix of juicy meat and creamy cheese! I’m an onion ring snob, and I really liked their onion pieces. Fries were just so-so.
Utterly amazing. I wish I'd thought to take pictures, but I was too busy inhaling my piping hot chicken sandwich and fried pickles! The tater tots were fantastic too. So crispy and good. My mom ordered the veggie egg bowl; she loved it. It came with enough for leftovers. The restaurant is quite clean -- and very obviously running a killer take-out business, considering how often delivery drivers showed up! We will definitely be back.
Went here expecting Jake's Sandwich Board but has changes to this. The sandwich was very good but not as unique as the former setup. The French fries were excellent and cooked perfectly. Did not care for the dipping sauce at all but I'm not a mayo fan, no matter how you dress it up. I'm gonna miss the 50/50.
Had one of their chicken bowls for breakfast. Absolutely delicious and filling!
Best chicken sandwich I've had, so juicy and crunchy. Definitely coming back again
$4 for these fries is not really acceptable. Cold, dry, and sparse. Would give fewer stars but I know how these ratings can matter to businesses. Chicken sandwich was pretty good, by no means a showstopper.
Super good food! Highly recommend their fried pickles!
First time customer….tried the eggplant sandwich. I can be a bit picky as I prefer thinly sliced eggplant. This sandwich was perfection! The seasoning on the eggplant, the lightly spread sauce along with the slaw enhanced the sandwich. The gentlemen working there were kind, friendly and helpful also. I highly recommend Hatch and Coop! You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic food and a great price, and the delivery was on time.It was a great experience as we were in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
Really fantastic sandwiches! We tried both the buttermilk fried chicken and the fish fillet sandwiches and were both great. Our kids shared popcorn chicken and they devoured it all. There is definitely something magical in their house sauce!
Good stuff
But really, awesome sandwich and super friendly workers. Check it out sometime
This place is good! I got a bacon chicken sandwich and a side of mixed fries and shoe string onion rings and it hit the spot. Whatever the house sauce is, its super tasty. They should really bottle that up and sell it. Overall will definitely be going back
Chic-Fil-A who ? Yep I said it. As far as the chicken sandwich is concerned they take the crown. The fries I could do with out , but fairly priced. I ordered online during the booking lunch hour and it was ready within 15 mins. Great !
Amazing!!!! Come Jersey City please. The chicken was well cooked, the sandwich well prepared, and the fries were phenomenal. The onion rings could have been better- the breading came off. I make onion rings, so I know they are difficult. But these were crisp and well-seasoned.
I get a bang bang with cheese like every weekend it’s my favorite tradition. The spicy pepper sauce just makes it. And everyone that works there is always so nice.
Probably the best bacon egg and cheese I’ve ever had.
If you would like to go to heaven without the commitment of death, order the chicken and waffles. Do it.
This place is amazing!!! The food is delicious, the employees are delightful and it's super clean inside. I would definitely recommend this place to eat at. I've already visited this place several times and the quality and service there is always wonderful!
Great food great prices
Staff and owner are very welcoming
Tried out this place for the first time. Ordered via GrubHub. Was very impressed with the food. Everything came as expected. I appreciated that they packaged the sandwich toppings separately so the sandwich wasn't soggy by the time it showed up. Will definitely visit in-person at the next chance.
It was good and the people there are friendly they’re nice young adults
I ordered 50/50 egg sandwich and tots. The house sauce is great. But I was given the wrong sandwich! It was still good but it would have been great to actually receive what I paid for.
Great stuff! The salads were great, the fries good even 30 mins after delivery and the popcorn chicken nuggets tasted like pickles so my 4 year old wouldn't eat them.
Amazing food and smart design
Four years of walking by this place and I finally tried it with my friend. We were given what was seemingly a smaller portion for quite the price and boy were we're wrong. I ended up barely finishing my brisket and my friend unable to finish his. We usually eat a lot, but these meals prove us wrong. It was amazing brisket, nice, slow cooked and the juicyness. I highly recommend the fried pickles as a side and sweet iced tea for the drink. 5/5 would go again. Staff was very chill.
Saw it on man vs food and had to try it. He got a 50/50 he enjoyed it. I got a cheesesteak with brisket, provolone, and fried onions. Onions were a little soggy and lacked some flavor. But that's my only negative from the place.. Not worth docking a star. We also got fries and fried pickles. Made it order.. Hot crispy goodness. Tasty lunch adventure.. Will certainly go back for more.
Spicy chicken wasnt spicy I poured the whole cup of spice on it if I get a warning when I buy something I expect it to be hott. The fries are a damn rip off for 4 dollars. But I will say the sandwiches tasted good would order the sandwiches again but I'd probably just pick up fast food fries from around the way instead of getting them from yall.
The staff is super friendly and breakfast is great! Good eggs and kings Hawaiian bread sandwich for a great price! While eating breakfast there for the second day, one of the employees gave us a free sample of some awesome, juicy pulled pork. The sample was almost a sandwich worth of meat on its own! Will definitely continue to visit every time I am in philly.
I’ve gone here a few times and they’re always very kind and welcoming. The food is excellent! Highly recommend the popcorn chicken. The chicken sandwich too :)
Really big delicious sandwiches. I visited for the first time today. I had the Mensch, the beef was super tender and the horseradish raise was amazing. A perfect lunch spot. It may be a tad pricey but it's worth it for the quality.
BBQ brisket was really good, cooked perfectly, juicy and tender with carmelized onions and fried pickles. Only downside was that I ordered it on salad (which turned out to be only a thin bed of spinach greens) instead of a sandwich roll, yet it cost $1 extra... would have been more satisfied with a bigger and diverse serving salad and a little less meat -- or if it had not been called a salad at least I would have known what to expect...
The cheesesteak here is not the traditional "Philly style". It's actually beef brisket, with finely shredded mild provolone (which is added after the meat is already in the roll), and highly caramelized onions (also added after meat is in the roll). There's good value here, since the staff was super friendly and took care of me.😉 Credit cards accepted.
The chicken is so good the staff is always nice . You cant go wrong eating here . I would definitely recommend the chicken and waffle sandwich
I feel like this place could earn at least 4 stars from me if I went in person; however, I order from here during a buy one get one from grub hub and I feel like the combo along with large amount of orders and being delivered really did a number on the quality. To be honest, the only thing I did not like about my pork sandwich was that the "sharp" provolone was hardy sharp at all. For me, this makes a huge difference in the overall flavor. I will have to come here and give them another shot because I feel they really deserve it, but in the mean time I can't see myself rating any more than 3 stars.
I ordered the fried pickles and they have me French fries, didn't realize until I was back at office. The fries were really good and the sandwich was pretty good. It could have had a lot more bbq sauce. There is a limited drink selection.
I ordered the Bar-B-Q sandwich and one of its ingredients was missing. My server was kind enough to suggest substituting it for the crunchy onions, which were delicious. The only not so great thing was the bread, which didn't taste as fresh as it should. But overall, a pretty good sandwich for a reasonable price.
Great place for sandwiches. We'll definitely have to come back so we can try more of them. The fries were good, but nothing special; the fried onions were great, especially with the hot sauce they've got.
Food was great, staff was friendly, and the pricing was a bit high for the quantity received. All in all I enjoyed the sandwiches and I would come back again! I just wish there was a little bit more bang for my buck. Giving a four out of five due to how little of meat was on the sandwich compared to the price paid.
The fifty fifty is one is the best sandwiches I've ever had. My wife got something different every time we've been here and everything she tried was also really good. I don't know if they still have the garlic bomb, but it looks pretty interesting and if they do I'm trying that one next.
Dope late night spot!!! Bump that, anytime spot!!! Food was on spot and right on time!!
Jake's is a Philadelphia gem! The fries are so good and always fresh — never over cooked! The owner is really nice and always makes me a steak without the bread. The staff recognizes me upon walking in and they already know my order, which is a great feeling!
Fantastic sandwiches. The 50/50 (half pork, half bacon) will take a few years off your life, but you'll die with a smile. I also suspect it's not exactly a 50/50 ratio (that would be a lot of bacon), but coupled with the sriracha mayo, it's incredible. You can apparently go with some healthier options, but let's face it, that's not why you walked in this place.
First time coming in. Place is spotless and service incredibly attentive. Great employees at this location. Huge chicken breasts on the chicken sandwiches and egg sandwiches have huge portions as well. We got the fired pickle sides and 50/50 sandwich. Batter is crunchy and the chicken so moist. Absolutely loved this place.
Loved the breakfast sandwiches and the "Hot Mess" on the menu. Local and delicious!
Would definitely re-visit if we are back in town. 10/10 would recommend.
Really great place to grab a quick bite. The staff is always upbeat and friendly.
I recently screwed up my order and Joe went totally out of his way to fix it, when he really didn't need to. The fact that he completely redid my order in a few minutes was appreciated.
I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Stopped in for the garlic bomb! It was very good. We also go the mench which was my favorite and Jake's cheeseburger that was good because it had fried pickles on it. And we got the mix bag. Worth a stop.
Nice place for a gourmet sandwich. Friendly Staff. Easy to see right off of 12th Street servicing the downtown Philadelphia area. Parking on the street is available, but it fills up fast. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Daily lunch specials. Moderately priced. We will definitely be going back.
Nice because they will do sandwiches naked or over fries however their potato pancakes are really tater tot discs. Either way, sandwiches were good but their spicy sauce wasn't hot enough for my fire loving husband.
This place has amazing sandwiches! Love the breakfast ones, and all the sauces are delicious as well. Have never had the ice cream, but a friend of mine told me it was also great.
Delicious chicken sandwiches at good prices, and don't even get my started on the fried pickles!
I ordered my food at 10am for a 1pm pick up and I still had to wait damn near 25 minutes for my food after my pick up time. I ordered a brownie and was given two frozen brownies. Already the worker was by himself was I respect because he didn’t have any help but still.
Omg the FOOD. Saw this place on the travel channel and had to try it. Wanted to get the garlic bomb, but it wasnt on the menu 😞 we did see someone order it anyway, so we know for next time. Aside from that, the 50/50 and barnyard subs we got were great! Extra points for tasty fried pickles! …
The best chicken sandwich ever! Nothing fancy, fried chicken with honey on a great bun but I could eat it every day!!!
Best fried chicken I've had in Philly. Great prices and a refreshing atmosphere where the employees were just as awesome as the chicken. I'll be back again to try the ice cream sandwich dessert that sounded amazing very soon.
Been ordering delivery through them for years. In terms of delivery-only options, the best fried chicken sandwich I've had around.
Great food. Some of the nicest and friendliest staff on the city. The chicken is always good.
First time trying this place Omg!! had the eggs,Turkey sausage and deep fried red onions when I say soooooo freaking good soooooo freaking good🤤🤤🤤👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 five thumbs guys for a great breakfast sandwich
Thank you made my morning.
Chicken and waffle sandwich was fantastic. Had another chicken sandwich that was very good too.
A delightful chicken sandwhich place. Decent pricing for the city, clean place and more importantly good food. The chicken was fried almost perfectly, great bun, good toppings. The fries were good, nothing special. The fried pickles were great. Overall, great experience, I recommend.
My first time eating here, I've always wanted to try it and today was that day. Best decision I've made today. The Chicken & Waffle sandwich and tater tots was soooooooooo good. And adding the egg to it made it even better. Thank you for the tasty food today as I sit at home during the quarantine. I will definitely being order from you again.
Really tasty place! Got the BBQ sandwich with cole slaw and a basket of fries/onion rings. Only issue was that the sandwich was absolutely falling apart, but it was absolutely delicious! Will definitely come back when I’m feeling indulgent.
Great Philly cheesesteak sandwich that is kind a different cooking style. They have very tender juicy brisket inside and Swiss cheese. Their original sauce with onion. All good but if you are first visit to Philadelphia you may better to go regular philly cheese steak with Wiz style. I like Jakes style too since I came this town many times and tried many other restaurant.
Excellent food! Best popcorn chicken I've had in a while and the fried eggplant sandwich really hit the spot! Try it!
Ordered the ‘Cheesesteak.’ Was $9.50. Perfect if you wanted a French onion soup tasting sandwich. Staff is friendly and place is great but the cheesesteak, which philly is known for, was unfortunately not that great.
I have a google authenticator on my phone...i had to log, in, receive the code, and confirm....JUST TO POST THIS REVIEW. GREAT FOOD, best sandwiches i've had...but they use ONE delivery service. I've ordered 3 times, once it came in 30 min. otherwise it took them WELL over an hour. ridiculous
Moderate price, big flavor.
This place is great for lunch if you're not in a rush. That's not to say they are slow but I wouldn't call this a grab and go location. Treat yourself to a "haystack" bowl, it's worth it.
Wow! The one quality I love about this place is the layout. Fill in cards for orders, USB charging station tables, and even paper towel rolls at tables.
Whoever is the owner of this place is smart. Knows exactly what the customer may need.
Thumbs up and props! 🙏🙏🙏
As someone who isn't the biggest breakfast fan, I was pretty excited to have one of my favorite meals, a fried chicken sandwich, at 10am. Turns out it was one of the best I've ever had.
We had the turkey with avacado. Absolutely delicious. Fresh roasted turkey. Looks like everything is from scratch here. So good. Service friendly and fast. Tough to get a seat at lunch. Get it to go.
Best of Philly 2012 was seen on The Food Network.
1) Jake's, over the tourist bucket-list spot in Reading Terminal. They're more sanitary and went with gut feelings that all their ingredients were fresher than any food you pick up at the terminal.
2) Featured on the Food Network- a source of my food bucket list during travels. And most definitely did not disappoint.
3) The cheesesteaks: I came with a group of 5 (6 including myself) the first time I was here and sampled a classic cheesesteak, a 50/50, and something spicy. All tasted wonderful and wanted to come back to try other cheesesteaks as well.
Just average tasting chicken sandwich, prices better in store, didn't wait too long for 2 sandwiches.
Great quick breakfast place! Especially after a night of drinking. Get the house sauce!
The chicken burger was amazing
Ordering was fast and easy
Nice place to get a snack
I visited Philly for a few days and went here for lunch. I got the Barnyard to go; it was so good (perfect amount of spice for someone who isn't good with spicey food) that I felt compelled to walk back to the store to tell them how incredible the sandwich was.
Hangover cure for the gods
Good brisket which is hard to do. Great fried pickles. Relatively quick place to get lunch on a work day. Somewhat expensive but worth it cause the food is delicious
OMG I just watched Food Paradise and want a garlic bomb sandwich in the worst way!!! PLEASE will you deliver one to Dallas??? I cannot wait to get to Philadelphia to get me one of those, it looks fabulous!!! We have a place here nearby in Frisco, TX called Kenny's which has a version called a steak bomb which is awesome but...alas...sans the garlic. Thanks for bringing your place to my attention. I WILL BE THERE SOON!!
In addition to the fully loaded sandwiches they offer, there's also a "healthier" option on a bed of mixed greens. With the perfectly seasoned meats and other toppings, salad dressing is not really needed
Oh Jake's, as we come to the first thanksgiving with no turducken sandwich, I wanted to let you know that you were both loved and now missed. This former chef appreciated the hard work you guys put in and will always bring up Jake's in the talk of great philly sandwiches.
On a trip from Australia, chasing some good food for dinner. Jake's was the place! The brisket was amazing. So was the veggie 'farmers market' sandwich. Well worth the visit!
Delicious fried chicken and pickles. The hidden gem was the ice cream sandwich though, and I'd go back in a heartbeat. It's nice to finally have an affordable option for delicious food.
Great service! Food was good overall, but could have used a little more seasoning.
Delicious food. Perfect for a quick bite. Try the fried pickles!
This place is what dreams are made of...where else can you get a caramel cinnamon toast Crunch ice cream sandwich on a grilled, sugared King's Hawaiian Sweet Roll?
I really liked the fried chicken sandwich with the coleslaw it’s so light and clean
Great food. Affordable and quick. Had the eggplant sandwich. Simple and delicious.
Simply anazing!!!!just ordered from doordash. And it didn't take 2 hours but the food was delicious 😁😁😁😁we had the chicken and waffle sandwich, veggie egg bowl wiyh turkey sausage and tater tots. My new FAVORITE …
Food was good. Service was good too. I really enjoyed my turkey sandwich and everything tastes fresh. Prices were also very reasonable! Would go back
I ordered from Postmates so I can't comment on the location, but the food was delicious!
Single occupancy gender neutral bathroom. Excellent fries.
Food was great....once i got it. Ive eaten here twice and both times my order was messed up. Not like i asked for mayo on the side and it was on the sandwhich, but the completly wrong sandwhich. They regularly forget sides as well. I almost think its worth it but man i hate ordering twice for the same food...
Awesome chicken sandwiches. Love the coop sandwich and if your up for some fire on your tongue try the habenero sandwich.
This chicken sandwich is excellent! It arrived in less than 30 minutes too. Just wish they gave more slaw!
This place is bomb. Out of the three recommended sandwiches we got the "50/50" was the best by far. They treated us really well.
For what this place is a fast- casual chicken and egg sandwich joint it's perfect! Do yourself a favor and get the ICE CREAM SANDWICH! I had skipped it for awhile because it looked too sweet. Plus, who needs all them calories after a fried chicken sandwich? Everyone is the answer because it is absolutely worth it. Remove the guilt by splitting it with a friend. They'll love you for it.
Food: Delicious. All the sandwiches are specialties with well put together combination of flavors (see the "Garlic Bomb" below). Sandwiches are a little greasy but worth it to me.
Price: if you want an $8-10 sanwich that will for sure fill you up, then you've come to the right place. Monday price specials (and other days too) are offered.
Seating: at least 20 spots to sit inside plus outdoor seating.
Staff: Very helpful when you don't know what you want.
Overall: Can't say anything bad about the place and love the flavors, so it's a 5/5 in my book.
Great experience! If you are near Go Eat! Some of thre best customers service I've experienced.
Had the Haberno Chicken sandwich, very good. Chicken was delicious, spice was good. Will def go back. Thanks!
Ordered the 50/50 Egg Sandwich and the Coop Chicken Sandwich. Both were legit. Delicious. Will order again!!
Had the Coop sandwich and fries pickles. The chicken was savory, crispy and hot
Went well with the slaw and Hawaiian sweet bun. Pickles qwee very crispy as well. Great for a quick bite
Add a bit of the orange looking sauce to your sandwich, if you feel like it's missing something like a taste of delicious roasted hot peppers; it's pretty hot, so don't add too much.
Great stop for lunch .Friendly staff I had the chicken Bbq sandwich with jalapeno added .Great ! pefectly cooked chicken with good toppings. For $12 lunch downtown dont miss out.
Great Chicken Sandwich and very friendly staff
Great find on our trip to Philly
Great sandwiches and fries. The 50/50 (half pulled pork and half bacon) was excellent. Covered in cheese and just perfect. It comes with Sriracha which is nice if you want a bit of a kick, but the garlic sauce is also a great substitution to try if you want to try something a little different.
The fries were hot and crispy, and I loved the local sodas in the soda fountain. Overall, a very nice place, but I do wish there was a lunch option that includes the fries and drink with the full sandwich; it was just a little pricy but very much worth it.
I love, love, love the Kings Hawaiian buns but I'm trying to watch my carbs so I was able to order a bowl instead. Everything was great. I was able to order from the kiosk so I was in & out. Service is still friendly & efficient, perfect for a quick lunch.
Awesome atmosphere, priced really well and very fresh. Sooo yummy
Very good sandwiches, friendly helpful staff. A few of the sandwiches would be better if made differently using the same ingredients ie sauce on the meat not on the bun
Service is always quick, tasty food with good portion sizes, and very reasonably priced!
Good no frills fried chicken sandwich spot. Cheap, good variety of options and they don't overcook the chicken.
Awesome egg breakfast sammy! Coffee a bit weak, but it seems they're using the ones from Jake's. Great location and friendly service. I'll definitely be back!
Superb cheese steak. Great brisket, and provolone and caramelized onions really complement the meat! Highly recommended.
Good was really good. First time here. I'll go back. I'm a fan of ordering on a kiosk
Great chicken sandwiches and a friendly staff
Really good chicken sandwich. A tad pricey but similar for lunch costs downtown.
I have never been here before tonight. The guys working were really cool and recommended the mensch and it was really good. I also recommend getting some fries too.
Perfect fried chicken and great sandwich options
Delicious, quick lunch spot, that does a $5 make your own pork sandwich on Mondays. Often do the naked bowl when I'm feeling Paleo.
Very quick and very good - it hits 100% for what it aims to be. I've had several different chicken sandwiches (BCR & BBQ multiple times), as has my housemate. He is very picky about chicken and he is as impressed as I am. The chicken is thick but not too thick and always perfectly done, quality white meat chicken with just the right texture. The pickle brined buttermilk it's fried in makes it very tasty - and I especially appreciate that the breading isn't too crusty / hard. The bun, while I was suspicious how good it would be the first time I ordered, is very well suited to the sandwich. And the fries are really good as well - seasoned with just a bit of heat, but not too much even for me and I have a low tolerance. The dipping sauce makes them even better. I haven't tried the egg sandwiches or bowls yet, but I intend to. H&C is already one of our favs for "good food quick," so if those live up to the chicken sandwiches, we will definitely be regulars.
Had the Brisket Philly, it was great, fries were good as well. Don’t let the Google listing fool you, their open for breakfast too.
Best chicken sandwich I've had, definitely puts chick-fil-a to shame. It's a little on the pricey side ($11+tax for sandwich and fries) but I blame Philly for that since rent and taxes are ridiculous here.
Oh, and they're open on Sundays, unlike that other chicken place.
Good sandwiches and reasonable prices. Do you like bread stuffed with mountains of seasoned meat and sauce? This is the place for you!
The chicken & waffle sandwich is the stuff dreams are made of. I'd have taken a picture but it was gone before I could pull out my phone.
Would love to give this place a 5* rating as I love their breakfast sandwich and it is very convenient for me when on my way in to work on weekends. Sadly I feel like they are only open on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays. I have witnessed one of their staff walk out on his colleague while having 5-7 orders being pushed. That staff then had to close the shop and finish those orders on his own with very friendly customer service and with a smile. Sadly they still have the issue where the store will have workers but still be closed for whatever reason. If your not open you're not making money, customers will not return and you will lose your name. Thanks
BBQ chicken sandwich was juicy but bland. Will definitely come back for the cream sandwich however.
Food is great tone WAS VERY RESPECTFUL.NO ISSUES ALL STAFF ARE FREINDLY.
Creative sandwich choices here that keep you coming back to try them all. I've always enjoyed my meals here.
The fried chicken breast sandwich was delicious with the slaw inspired lettuce!! The fried pickles were very crunchy, almost like chips. I think I'll be coming back!
3rd time here. The smell is intoxicating and I am completely on board with chicken and eggs together in all formats. I ordered the Hot mess chickn and eggbowl. Delicious bbq followed up with a good spice. You can taste the quality of the items . They are using good products and everything ive had had been top notch. Great for chicken style Breakfast menu. Unique place. Very good
I have ordered from here multiple times via Uber eats and they are great the food is always hot and tastes great!!
I had the pleasure of trying the BBQ and I bowled it!!!! Amazing food!!! My only problem is that now I'm at work sleepy. They'll be hearing from me again!!!!
They have really great food and great service
The best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in years! Absolutely ridiculous 🤤 …
Holy crap. Best meatball sub I've had. Soooooo good. If you think there's not room for another sandwich place in Philly, you're wrong.
Quick service when we ordered chicken sandwiches for breakfast.
After reading mixed reviews, my craving for chicken smothered in honey overruled, and I gave this place a shot. I think my summation of the food could be expressed in two very clear words: fast food. That’s what it is. 😐 …
Had the 50/50. Great taste and the bread is awesome. Very nice clean place too. The fried pickles were still very crisp.
I felt the sandwich didn't have a flavorful bite...but it wasn't terrible...fries were tasty af...
Very good fries, steak sandwhich was okay. Nothing memorable, will be back because a large creative menu!
I ordered a cheese steak here. The sandwich was really good but it was kind of small for the price.
Great food & quick! Very clean restaurant.
If you like brisket, pork or turkey this place is for you.
Visited this place with a friend and split a 50/50, we had to order another one, the sandwich was delicious. Very friendly staff...
Best chicken sandwich in the city. IMO
For the price, I absolutely expected more from this place. the sandwiches are $7-$9 and they taste like a downgraded version of the shakeshack chicken sandwich (which is also overpriced). the bread is doughy and they must be rationing their chicken because you dont get a whole lot and the amount you do get is barely crispy. Also, if you want fries with that its another $4 and they give you the smallest amount possible. If you want to pay extra for a chicken sandwich and fries, do yourself a favor and skip this place. Go to shakeshack instead, bc this place is nothing but a downgraded version for the same price. complete waste of $$$!!!
Normally I get the french fries, which are really good. I tried a tasty veggie sandwich that I customized myself.
Really impressed with their food! Pricing is also affordable.
Yummy. Chicken and waffles with drippy honey. Friendly, efficient service. Coming back!
They have some fantastic sandwiches here. I've probably been here a half dozen times and never left disappointed.
Speed of getting you order and the sandwich were amazing. Friendliness of the staff was average.
Great food and awesome service!
Breakfast hit the spot while strolling around Philly today. They’re not trying to wow you, they’re trying to feed you and they get the job done.
Great carnivore's paradise. High quality ingredients makes for mouth-watering sandwiches
While this isn't a five star restaurant, for what it is (a sandwich shop) it's extraordinary. The sandwiches are so good!
I love their breakfast sandwiches. I go anywhere anytime to a place that offers eggs
Really good sandwiches. Good prices on Monday. The fries are meh, but the sandwiches are dank.
Great Chicken Sandwiches, Great location.
Out of 3 visits only my first experience was good.
Nice little place. Stopped in for lunch and was happy I hadn't eaten at another by-the-numbers chain place. Will go back.
Just simply the BEST sandwiches in Philly! Nuff said! Try the Mensch! You will be glad you did! :-)
Friendly staff and great comfort food. It is a chill and no thrills place. I love it here
Cabo. “ 2 Soft eggs, smashed-lime avocado, house spread and potato pancakes” divine
Awesome sandwiches...very hard not to get the 50/50 pork sub every time!!
The sandwiches are so good. And the staff was super nice and helpful.
They have great pulled pork sandwiches, but if you are looking for healthy this is not the place for you
The Garlic Bomb is the absolute best sandwich. Also try the Philly wasabi.
Awesome experience, great sandwich at a great price. Definitely returning
Small restaurant with great food
I Like the customer service , However the food was of low quality especially for the price
Cheesesteak not really a philly cheesesteak. Otherwise everthing else was good.
I love the fast and easy order online. The fried pickles are the best.
Hatch & Coop, is a chicken and egg joint, in Midtown Village according to founder and owner Gary Dorfman. located in the former shopfront of now closed Jake's Sandwich Board, with the exact same owners, the space has been overhauled as a fast casual fried chicken joint. Putting together incredibly, awesome specialty sandwiches.
Nice sandwiches and friendly service. Not much in the way of atmosphere.
Next time I'm out here I will definitely be going back! Made my trip from cali well worth it!
Great sandwich place. Good selection and quick service.
Yummm
The food's beyond excellent! Instantly loved this place. A definite must eat!
Tasty sandwich, quick and friendly service, good value for money.
Great portion size, very yummy, and cheap!
Pretty Good Eggplant sandwich!!
Had a pork sandwich on a sesame roll, one of the best sandwiches I've eaten
Jake's sandwich place is out of business ...Google didn't update yet... Some chicken place is there now
Great Food, Great Service and Great Environment
Eh. It was good, but I wasn't blown away. I'm not saying you shouldn't try it, but I probably won't go again.
Sadly not as good as I'd hoped. I tried the Barnyard and the Mensch, both looked promising but we're underwhelming.
Pickle brined chicken is delicious!
Good flavor but a paltry amount of meat for the price. Not worth it. Not even close.
The best sandwichs I have ever encountered.
Delicious sandwiches but the amount on the sandwich was a bit disappointing.
Great food , a little pricey but worth it
Good food, good prices and great customer service
Great for a quick snack.
Good service, good music, and great pork sandwiches.
Great sandwich spot. Wished that had these in Wisconsin
Enjoyed the brisket sandwiches and a good staff.
The fancy Philly cheese steak was great.
The sandwich is awesome. Go try it
Let's try the famous 🍔🍔🍔🍔 …

The Go To sandwich place in Philly, the meats, bread and sauces are next level!
Different limited menu than most. But very good.
Good meat and roasted long hots. Tasty
Chicken and Waffles sandwich is straight fire!!!

Excellent!
Tried a lot of the things on the Menu and everything was amazing
Demolished them immediately
Food was awesome. Staff were amazing and super friendly. 3 drawbacks. Cash not accepted. They do not have coffee. They have a digital menu that you must order on....no coffee.....no coffee.....no coffee .....no coffee. I enjoyed my food but had to go get coffee from another restaurant and bring it in. This alone means I will not be back and goes from 5 stars to 3
