Fresh and delicious food in an upbeat atmosphere with friendly service. I stopped near the end of the lunch hour and got takeout and there was a line but things moved quickly. The fries are great with some unique but tasty toppings and twists. The sandwich was flavorful and a good size and value for the price. There isn't a ton of space so be willing to wait for a table or get takeout. A great place for lunch with friends.

This is my wife and my first time at Block 16 since we have moved to Omaha. We are definitely impressed with the menu and the flavor combinations this restaurant has created! I ordered the Brooke’s Chickwich, my wife ordered the Bacon and Brie, and we shared an order of Dirty Fries! Definitely not disappointed and neither will you!

This place is pretty special. The food is high quality at a reasonable price. The flavors were amazing. The lady who took our order was super awesome and friendly! I would definitely recommend trying out block 16.

What a cool restaurant. Farm fresh food delivered daily. My sockeye salmon salad was so tasty with a ton of fresh veggies. The fried chicken thighs were by far my favorite! I had 2 traditional and 2 Nashville hot. The Nashville flavors and fry were so good. I would fly back to Omaha just for the Nashville hot fried chicken!

On the plate — the 24 hour brisket in a puff pastry, mashed potatoes with red wine gravy (today's special). In the baskets — the 3-Happiness burger sans bun and the duck-duck-goose fries. Both were excellent. I love the food choices here.

Such great food! We split the bacon & brielt and then each got an order of crab rangoon fries. Would highly recommend both of these options. It’s a smallish restaurant, we did have a little bit of a wait to order, but the food came out in a timely manner. They do have a couple outdoor tables available for nicer days. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Came for dinner on a Saturday night and despite the line to order, we got through quickly and food came out quick as well. Between the two of us we ordered the 3 happiness burger, bacon and brie sandwich, and dragon fries. I would definitely order them all again and come back next time we are in town!

Great Place to grab lunch downtown, and a favorite for Omaha locals. Plenty of great sandwiches and amazing fries on the menu. But make sure that when you go, you have some time to burn because there is usually a pretty long line to order.

Best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The Brooke Chickenwich. It was perfectly fine seasoned, which is hard to find. The duck fries are unique as well, and as good as advertised. In fact, their whole menu looks excellent. My only advice is to know you order in a line environment, then grab a seat. It's popular so expect to wait a bit in line. We'll worth it, however. My husband took me here for a date night dinner. I've read a lot of comments from others and their menu options. There is a wide variety of good food on their menu that I wanted to try out. The food was delicious and the price is pretty decent for its quality. Would definitely come back another time.

Had the poutine burrito, 3 happiness burger and duck duck goose fries. Split it all with a friend, left full with enough left overs for a snack later. Service was fast during the lunch hour. Wide variety of flavors. Will definitely eat here again

There's a reason Alton Brown has said this is the best restaurant in Omaha. It's the best one I've tried yet, and I regret I didn't try it sooner. I tried the 3 Happiness Burger, the Dragon Fries, and the Block Burger. All three options were beyond expectations. The 3 Happiness Burger had better Americanized Asian flavors than 3 Happiness Express, and that says a lot about both places! I was worried the cream cheese would be too much, but they found a way to keep it from overpowering the entire burger. The Block Burger was more traditional in its contents, but don't let that fool ya. It didn't hold back on flavor. I can't express enough how exciting it is to find a place in Omaha that can do a traditional burger correctly. The Dragon Fries were amazing. Spicy sauce, cheese, fries, and a touch of freshness from some green onion on top. What's not to like? The service was great and fast. You place your order at the counter, they give you a number to place on your table, and they bring the food to you. Also, they answered the couple questions I had with more detail than I was expecting despite being pretty busy. It really seemed like they wanted me to make sure I got items that would pair well together. The menu has things for pretty much anyone, but it isn't a massive menu. The layout makes it easy to make a snap decision on what you want. I'd recommend this place for anyone not watching their waistline looking for the best burgers and fries in Omaha.

Block 16 is an Omaha must visit. Get there early for their daily specials cause they usually run out around lunch time. However their menu items are just as good. I do recommend their specialty fries. Super delicious!

Fresh food, clean environment, friendly staff. Good for a first time visit with a double date. The wait, after ordering, was 15+ minutes. Parking is difficult, but if you snag a meeter across from the courthouse, that's usually good enough. Make sure you map it, multiple people stoped us on the sidewalk asking where it was, signage didn't seem to be present (black tarp over entrance, and a boarded up window due to a recent vehicle hitting the building. Overall, not bad. I probably won't be back as the food options (for me, a non-cheese eater) was limited and expensive ($45 for 2 people). Worth the visit, just not my normal cup of tea.

Very much enjoyed the food here, atmosphere is bustling and fun. I got the chicken sandwich, it was good, not fantastic but very much enjoyed it. I don't think you could go wrong ordering anything from their menu.

We were looking for a place for lunch and Block 16 hit the spot! We ordered the poutine fries, Brooke’s chickenwich, and pulled pork roll. It was so delicious for a very affordable price! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean facilities.

Seat yourself after ordering. It seemed busy as we were there during lunch on a Saturday, but we placed our order and received it relatively quickly. Burger was phenomenal as was the grilled cheese special. Also ordered Omaha fries which were 🤌👍🏻

This photo doesn’t do this wrap justice—warm naan, well-seasoned chicken, pickles, coleslaw, hummus, fries (in the wrap), and a nice sweet/spicy/savory sauce—Block 16 continues to impress me as one of my favorite places to eat. Amazing staff, many farm-to-table ingredients, lots of amazing looking specials (check Facebook or Twitter), and a funny social media account… what’s not to love?

This place is as advertised!! Holy cow what a meal. Wife had the Block Burger and I had the Croque Gracon burger. We split order of regular fries and the poutine. So amazing and used ALL the napkins they gave us which were a lot. Just all around great food!!

The food is awesomely unique! I don't like the one room open atmosphere where we all sit, though. We had to share tables with people we didn't know, it was small and with a lot of people in a high ceiling room, it makes it difficult to have conversations.

This place is such a trusted favorite. I’m never afraid to try new things on the menu because NOTHING is bad here. Meals can take a bit of time to come out because they’re pretty busy most mealtimes, but it’s worth the wait. All fun fries are insanely good, but try the Dragon Fries or Gangsta Fries. The sweet potato fries are also a contender for best in the city. They make their own ranch in house so order extra :)

Being from Northern Maine, it’s hard to find poutine in Omaha. My son and I visited today and it was delicious. I had the Brooke’s Chickenwich, my son had the poutine burrito and we shared an order of poutine. All was great! We will be back to try other unique dishes!

Yea....imma go ahead and give them a 5 for the Rangoon Fries alone. Croque Garcon burger was great too... But I've had some great burgers...so that bar was high. The level to which they just raised the fries to was impressive. Had the Duck Duck Goose fries as well, but the Rangoon Fries...OMG. It's a long trip from Chicago, but I need to figure out another trip soon.

I really love this place. This is my go-to restaurant when I'm craving something delicious and it's always my top recommendation for people seeking a place to eat in Omaha. Their rotating menu is a bit of a double edged sword, I'm always really disappointed when they rotate out one of my favorites (dragon fries, please bring them back!) but their new items are always surprisingly delicious as well. One of Omaha's best for sure.

In town for a day and found on Google maps as it is walking distance from the hotel. Line almost out the door the entire time we were there, but it was still easy to find a place to sit. Absolutely delicious food! Need to order the fries next time. Will definitely come again when back in town

The food was amazing! The service was amazing! I have always loved Block 16. Today I had the special - fried chicken, ham, & cheese potatoes on sourdough, and squash soup - and I had to get 2 more cups of soup for dinner tonight. The staff are friendly and helpful. 10/10 y'all need to get down there!

This is my favorite restaurant in Omaha. The food is always fresh, consistent, and delectable, no matter what you order. The poutine burrito is by far my favorite menu item, but I'm always tempted by the daily special. Get there right away or plan to wait in line for a bit (again, completely worth it!). Service is always top notch, everyone is super friendly, and the atmosphere is great too.

Loved it. We actually delayed our trip a bit to be able to eat here. The burger was fabulous and as good as Alton Brown said it would be. The poutine burrito was an awesome surprise. The idea was strange but are we glad we tried it. The fries with duck was perrrrrrrrrrfect. Other than not having seating at the moment, I just don’t know what they could do better. It was all worth the trip delay and all the extra calories. I’m in love.

The food is good, and the menu is very interesting (in a good way). It's a very heavy/hearty meal. You won't leave hungry. As a business traveler, I prefer a place where I can sit and have a couple drinks and maybe strike up a conversation. This is not that. But if you just want a good meal, you should absolutely check this place out.

Really nice, cozy spot to grab a sandwich. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is very laid back. It was a popular place when we went, so it took us a bit to order, but the food was very worth it, in terms of both quality and quantity. Definitely would recommend a visit if you find yourself in the neighborhood and looking for food.

Just went for the first time with my fiancé, and it definitely won’t be our last. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I wanted to try one of everything off the menu. The food we did have was delicious - seasoned well, creative, and generous portions. As a bonus, they have a nice line-up of local beers!

Favorite place to eat in Omaha, the staff is great and specials are unique and always delicious. The sloppy nick or poutine burrito are my go to choices on the menu. Calling as soon as they open is your best option if you can’t order online.

We went at around 12:30pm - 12:45pm and there was about a 30-45 min wait in line. However, the food was soo good, it was worth it. We got the Duck Duck Goose fries, the dragon wrap, and the Belgian Smash burger and everything was delicious! I recommend ordering your food online and taking it home or trying to get there earlier before there's a serious line.

This food was amazing. The raigon fries were different but the flavors blended so well. The sweet and salty combination was perfect. My main entre was the Chickenwich, hands down best chicken sandwich I have had in my life. The chicken could stand alone against the best chicken tenders anywhere. The chef must be a mad scientist to mix the different flavors and have them come together in such a special way.

We got the Belgian smash burger and duck duck goose fries. The burger was just ok - the meat was pretty flavorless, and the jam on it was overkill. The fries had a great sauce! The service was friendly - at closing, they were even helping an unhoused person find the right bus.

We stopped by the place during road trip and it's definitely a local gem. Croque Garcon Burger: love the combo of ham+egg+patty. The truffle mayo is full of flavor! Fried chicken thigh: I prefer the Nashville hot over traditional. Tip: you can ask for two kinds in one order Duck duck goose fries: instead of crispy skins, our fries had pulled pork on top. Not sure if they changed the combo. Couldn't really taste the special thing about duck fat.

This restaurant is a gem. The food was delicious. I have to eat GF and the employee talked through my options and made sure to note it was an allergy. They recommended the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing. I’m not huge on pork unless it has a lot of bbq sauce but this sandwich was on par. Thank you for the recommendation for the sandwich!

My dad used to go to Block 16 when they first started out and he always raved about the burgers. Unfortunately, I was always too busy to join him and didn’t get a chance to try it out until after he died. I had no idea that my dad was so hip or that he discovered one of the best restaurants in town. Block 16 has the best food and staff around. We go every chance we get and our one year old loves the food too!

Amazing food is totally worth it to wait in line, but the waiting can be very long time. I had the Poutine Burrito, a little bit grease for me, I had to squeeze it out, but the flavors and ingredients were very good in the burrito. I liked their Dragon fries, the sauce poured on it was yum.

Very busy but worth the wait. We got duck fries and Rangoon fries! Generous amount of Duck every tasty 7$ each. We will be going back to try more of these different delights in downtown Omaha. The people were friendly and the place was clean. There was some weird guy that was drunk there but it was just a funny customer it is downtown after all!

We stopped in here on a cross country road trip. One of our party is vegan and this place came up on a vegan recommendation website, and I’ve seen TikToks about all the different types of fries and we needed to stop in. We got the poutine burrito and a vegan version of the Dragon Wrap with seitian. Portions were great - we both left with leftovers to take in the car with us.

I was very excited to eat here for my first time. I saw all the great reviews and huge bonus, Alton Brown said it has amazing burgers. Maybe I went on an off day but my experience was very underwhelming. I was going to get the pork roll but they were out of it. Instead I ordered the crab Rangoon burger and the duck duck goose fries. The first 2 bites of my burger was mostly bun and sadly not toasted. All the topping just turned into a soggy mess without out any crispness even from the wontons that got soggy on the burger. The fries also did not have any crispness, unlike the claim to have crisp skin on top, but didn’t. It also just became a soggy texture way to fast. My husband got the croque garçon burger. He said it was ok, however I would not have ate it because the egg was so undercooked that it still had clear egg white. My son got the block burger and he liked it. I do not plan to go back especially having to wait in line to order, find a table, and the wait to get your order. If my son didn’t like the burger and if the staff wasn’t good, I would have probably given the rating 2 stars.

I was in Omaha for business and me and a colleague stopped at this place for an early dinner. There was enough seating at 5:45 pm on Thursday evening and we went ahead to the main counter to place our order. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, there were some easy choices to be made. I went with the Pulled Pork Roll ($7.95) and my colleague ordered the Poutine Burrito ($8.95). We also ordered the Fried Chicken Thighs, 1 regular and 1 Nashville hot ($2.50 per piece) and the famous Duck Duck Goose Fries ($6.50). Our order was ready within 20-minutes and it took less than 15-minutes for us to clear out all that delicious food. If I get a chance to visit again, I definitely will do so, to try their burgers and, the duck duck goose fries! Service was excellent and noise level was moderate. Menu was priced perfectly too. This is an excellent spot and a must visit place in Omaha!

Always busy but the food came quick. I got the three happiness burger expecting it to not come together well, but it was really great. Wife had a poutine burrito that was better than expected with tons of beef inside. Fries could use more salt and the kids options were somewhat limited. The sides of Mac and cheese worked otherwise they would have split a regular sized burger.

BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD! Ive traveled the world and this is absolute best burger joint. Lots of options yet simple gourmet burgers. Eco conscious management. Recieved post consumer cups and straw was post consumer paper straw. Odd at first but totally worth it. NO KIDS MENU! Only downfall. However large selection of local beers. You wont find a budlight here. Super cool staff and beautiful resturant. Love this place. Be prepared to pay metered parking if you drive or walk a little bit. A MUST try when in Omaha.

Heard good things about this place (like: “best place ever” type of things) so my expectations were high and I’m sad to say that I was disappointed. I got the croque garçon burger and the duck fries and both were disappointing—especially the burger. The burger was DRENCHED in mayo and mustard and the flavors drowned out every other flavor unfortunately. Steep price ($12.95) considering the ingredients aren’t anything special and it doesn’t come with fries. Speaking of fries, I liked the fries better than the burger and think they were generous with the duck meat they put on them. Drenched with sauce also. Fries could’ve been crispier considering how much sauce was on them. Not sure if I hit them on a bad day? Anyway, I’d go back but am definitely hesitant. Honest Abe’s in Lincoln is better hands down.

Pretty tasty very small place. Menu is very fairly priced. We had the Nashville Hot Chicken (thighs), Poutine and Brie/Bacon sandwich. Small niggle is that everything is served with plastic silverware and waxed paper.

I came in, checked out the menu, walked out, and then decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. The grilled cheese I ordered with apple jam on jalapeno cornbread was so amazing and just the right amount of crispy. I also got the saiton house salad which was much larger than I expected. They have great local beer selections too! I grabbed myself a coffee vanilla Stout and peanut butter Porter, yummy!

Amaze to my balls. This is the best place to visit if you are from out of town in the town. Go here and get a thing of fries (Jean ration or dragon or even the duck duck goose). The poutine burrito is lit af and amazing. Check their social media as they always have a bomb special er day. Their happy hour is cheap for good local brews.

Yes!! A great sandwich place with tons of creativity and crisp flavors. This counter service place is the best I’ve had for lunch in the downtown area. The service feels a hair slow, but that’s just because they are so popular, it’s well worth it. The bacon and Brie and the prime rib sandwich are well worth it, I’ll be back!

Love this place and is arguably one of my favorite restaurants. The service is good but be prepared to wait. Honestly probably one of the hottest spots in Omaha and the wait reflects it. Be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes to stand in line and get your food. There also isn't enough seats for how packed it is.

Pub style restaurant with a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, and fries of different varieties. Come at off hours to get a seat. Order at the bar. The prime rib sandwich was pretty good and their seasoned fries were terrific. There’s a small fry sauce to go with them. There are at least 4 other fry versions with meat or cheese or other condiments in them. My companions were happy with their burgers and a croque. Downtown a block from FNBO in from the corner of 16th. Hard to see the name of the place. Definitely a locals spot.

We had the Block Burger and Gangsta Fries. Both were great, but the fries were better. The chipotle sauce and green onions were perfect together over the crunch-outer, soft-centered fries. They have a large selection of local beer. On this busy night, the line was out the door. The food took quite some time to get to us, but it was worth it. The atmosphere was fine, but noisy. It is difficult to talk intimately when the place is full like it was on this visit. All-in-all they have very good food for a decent price. I recommend Block 16 - it's a must try.

Although expensive when all added up. This place ‘slaps’ as the kids say. Both my friend and I got the special last week which was the Nashville fried chicken burrito with Mac n cheese, bacon, and melted cheese. It was great the poutine not so much but we both finished our big burritos. I would definitely come back and I can see why there was a line when we got there and a line when we left.

We were on a little family getaway to Omaha and found this restaurant online. The reviews aren’t wrong, this place is fantastic. We loved the crab Rangoon fries and my boys said it was the best grilled cheese ever. I do suggest that the owners update their menu on FB as the prices have gone up a few dollars for most items since they last updated it.

Came here because of the rave reviews so maybe that’s why we weren’t as impressed as we expected to be. Overhyped maybe? Maybe we didn’t get the right things? Cowboy burger and gourmet grilled cheese with seasoned fries might be the most basic things on the menu, and perhaps the big fans of this place love the more adventurous options. We enjoyed the food, don’t get me wrong. We just didn’t think it was amazing or anything extraordinary. For just the food alone I would’ve given 4 stars because it was hot, fresh, and tasty. Exactly as advertised, no issues. I decided to go with 3 stars because of the wait to get our food. We went around 1:30 on a weekday and it wasn’t that busy. No line and plenty of open tables. Ordering at the counter of a restaurant and taking a number leads one to believe the food should arrive relatively quick. It took every bit of 30 minutes to get our two meals. I would hate to know how long it takes had we waited in a long line and the tables were all full as a lot of reviewers describe. We had no idea it would take so long until we sat for a few minutes and looked around noticing a handful of additional tables sitting there also waiting to receive their food. 30 minutes wouldn’t be bad if the atmosphere was different. You don’t get waited on and there’s nothing to look at, a pretty dull space. Definitely couldn’t make it in and out of here on a strict lunch hour. Glad we tried it, but won’t be dying to go back.

In town for business, and everyone from the office said "You gotta go to Block 16" Stopped in for lunch on my way back to the airport, and I have to say - definitely one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I got the 3 Happiness Burger, and it definitely delivered on 3/3 Happy. Came at the height of the lunch rush, but the staff were operating like a well-oiled machine - and it was definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to come back to town, if only for another burger. Til next time!

From the silent traveler to all of you welcome. This place is great unique menu style and you can pay with your cash app which was pretty neat so I didn't have to take out my wallet. Also the food phenomenal the staff beyond wonderful the atmosphere very laid back remind me of my college days. We got there at a perfect time because we miss the rush I see why this place is so exciting to be. By the time we have finished and left the line was out the door so if you're going to go go early beat the rush enjoy the atmosphere. We just happen to be overnighting as we were passing through our travels and found this place which was recommended by another associate so we had to check it out I do apologize I don't have pictures because what I ordered was fantastic. Full of protein full of greens great bread and if you're a diabetic with all that on there it did not cause my dexcom G6 to Blair off at me and I have mine set at 200 it stay right below 200 and I was really afraid that the bread was going to cause it to go up so in my opinion again everybody's different diabetic friendly. And we walk back to our hotel which gave me a little bit of exercise at the meal anyway great. Again I can't say enough about this place you have to check it out and from my understanding they have daily specials and the menu doesn't always stay the same I could be wrong but that's the beauty of it everyday is going to be something unique and you can tailor what they have on there the way you want it as well. We got grilled cheese with plain fries, Nash fries, pulled pork sandwich, and fried chicken (one regular and one spicy). I loved my grilled cheese. They use cheddar, Monterey jack, and Gouda on sourdough bread. Hands down the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Perfect cheese to bread ratio and the bread is dense and toasted so it holds up to all the cheese. The fried chicken was standard good, my husband preferred the spicy. He thought the Nash fries were "bombtastic". You could make a meal out of them! The pulled pork sandwich was good.

Block 16 was awesome! We were passing by Omaha and decided to grab lunch at Block 16 on the way. We are so glad we did. In a little spot tucked in, there is the quaint little shop. There was a somewhat long line when we arrived but it was moving quickly. When we got to the counter, the employee at the takeout counter was very nice and pleasant. She was very good about accommodating our substitutions and requests. The food itself was delicious. The grilled cheese was pretty good; it was flaky yet crunchy. While it was a bit of a messy eat, it was cooked very well and the cheeses were great. The crab rangoon fries were pretty good as well, but the Duck Duck Goose fries stole the show. The duck itself was delicious, the fries were cooked well, and the mayo was so delicious that we regret not asking for a whole jar of it. The bathrooms were clean and the interior and exterior of the restaurant was clean as well. The music was moderate but not too loud; the perfect volume. We hope to take our time in Omaha next time and eat in instead of taking it to go. We will definitely return.

Tasty, creative food and I certainly will go back someday. But there are too many minor flaws to get a better rating. Slow food preparation, long lines, hard to get seats, small glasses, cold wind every time the door opens (which is frequent due to it's popularity). Portions are a touch small, so be sure to get some fries.

The place is kinda funky and has all sorts of interesting entrees centering around burgers mainly. The prices seem a little steep for what you are actually getting, but the food is cooked well and comes out pretty quickly. I had the Three Hapiness Burger which was interesting... and sort of impossible to eat. There were so many toppings and sauces that the whole bottom bun was saturated and the burger fell apart (on to my shirt) as I ate it. I love a big juicy burger, but these ones edge on needing a fork to eat... pretty sure I used about 20 napkins and still had sticky sauce all over my hands by the end. During colder days, I highly recommend sitting in the "extra room" area with the long tables as a giant blast of cold air hits you every time someone opens the door if you stay up front. The place is new and cool I guess, but it's just not that great in the end. I definitely wouldn't drive downtown just to eat there.

Excellent burgers but the staff is also great. We were going to eat with our son and his family who had arrived and ordered slightly before us. I was helping get their kids situated at the table while my wife stayed back in line. The waitress noticed this and offered to take our order directly so we could go join them. We gratefully did that and our order came only slightly after theirs. I wish I had gotten her name; she clearly believes in customer service, and accurately and instantly sized up our situation on the spot, then took care of it. A small kindness that was significant to us, and one that reflects well on the business.

I was visiting Omaha and stumbled upon the Pride Parade, which was super fun. My goal for the afternoon was this restaurant, however. After wandering around the festival for awhile, I made my way here and was looking forward to the Duck Duck Goose Fries. I also had the Croque Garcon Burger in the back of my mind, and when I heard they hadn't gotten their supply of duck skin I opted for the burger. Incredible. So glad I got it. As I was eating I decided I still needed to try the DDG Fries, with cheese curds substituted for the crispy duck skin. Again, happy to have made that decision. They were excellent and I'm sure even better in the original configuration. The burger, however... just spectacular. Flavor bomb through and through. Balance is perfect, great ingredients, I can see why this is such a noteworthy menu item. Bravo!

Block 16’s elevated street food is like visiting your favorite food truck without having to freeze or faint while waiting. They’ve impressed the likes of Alton Brown, and I’ve never seen the place without a line stretching to the door (unless I come an hour before lunch time). Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. The croque garçon is a next-level burger. The dragon wrap is nice for (slightly) lighter fare. The Sloppy Nick is spicy, nostalgic goodness.

Amazing food, a little dark at night but totally worth a visit. Edit- 2/14/17 -- Difficult to see the food in the room pictured if you dont directly face a light source. Kinda dark; i mean some areas lack necessary lighting to see the food, but there is a 'dining room' with plenty of light connected to the room pictured. If they got creative with the edison bulbs (which add to the ambience) and hung some in the windows it'd be perfect, but there might be a reason as to why they decided not to. That poutine burrito though 😋 This place had a line nearly out the door and it was hard to find a seat, so that's a good sign. Since they're short staffed, they have limited hours that they're open. The poutine burrito was tasty from the tender meat to the gravy and potato inside. The shop has a simple ambiance and affordable menu. Would recommend if you're a tourist in town like I was.

Belgian Smash Burger-- absolutely delicious. It did have significant drippage (fat or butter-- I'm not sure which) that I let drip out by holding it sideways for a bit, but dear God it was delicious. The raisin jam added a great element. The turkey dumpling soup could have been better. It was on the salty side, and I didn't get a single dumpling! There was a lot of turkey, though, unlike some soups I've had elsewhere. Other than the level of salt, the taste was really good. The Poutine fries were tasty, but the gravy was also very salty (we got the gravy and cheese on the side). Since I was there with a friend I had not seen in awhile, I didn't bring the salt issue up with staff because I didn't want to darken the visit with my friend. I definitely will go back because this salt issue was not there when I had eaten there before. Hopefully it was a one-off today. If you go for lunch, go very early. The tables fill up fast, and the line goes out the door. We got there at about 11:15 on Friday, and by 11:30 it was packed.

This is a good little spot to get a burger and fries. My wife and I finally got to try Block 16 yesterday, after having heard rave reviews from friends and family. We went in for a late lunch. I ordered the Croque Garçon Burger, my wife ordered the Bacon & Brie, and we shared an order of Duck Duck Goose Fries. Everything was fantastic! The food itself was amazing, but what else was great was the staff. They were very busy, and our order still came fast. They were super friendly, and just all around nice! I usually love this place. Always good etc. I haven’t been for awhile. So. Today I took my daughter out to lunch. I had the Brookes chicken sandwich. On the upside. Always a good portion of chicken. This sandwich needs a new bun. It gets super soggy with the coleslaw/pickles etc on it. Messy as well. Which is okay at times. It basically fell apart on me. My hugest pet peeve is a soggy bun! It just ruins it for me. My daughter had the CROQUE GARCON BURGER. That’s great but again. Hard to eat a burger piled high on a Ciabatta bun. That’s it.

Best sandwiches and fries! I mean THE BEST. The only thing is that because it is sooooo incredibly good that it has people out the door and in the door with very long lines. Wait time is WORTH it, but sitting inside bc of the lines was a bit claustrophobic. People will be standing by your table while you eat, unless you take it to go. If the seating was better and less crowded by people I'd give 5 stars. Great place and will continue to brag about it!

Great lunch joint with a Canadian twist. According to a magazine clipping on the wall, this was voted the best restaurant in Nebraska in 2019. I have such a hard time with Block 16. I love them, but at the same time, I hate them. Why do I love them? Because all of their food is incredible. Their daily specials are always mouth watering and creative, and there is truly nowhere else in Omaha like them. Their burgers are amazing, fries amazing, etc etc etc. Why do I hate them? Because they are downtown. I live in Millard. Driving all the way downtown to grab a quick bite is such a task (especially with limited seating capacity right now). And what's even worse? EVERY TIME they run an amazing burger special, it's on a day I have to work in Elkhorn 9-8. My normal days off, Mondays and Wednesday they ALWAYS run some sort of burrito or sandwhich special.... don't get me wrong, I'm sure they're great, but I just do not like fancy burritos or sandwhiches...... COMMON GUYS, GIVE ME SOME JUICY LUCY'S ON A WEDNESDAY. PLZ. AND DON'T SELL OUT SO QUICKLY SO I HAVE TIME TO GET ALL THE WAY THERE BEFORE THEY ARE GONE. Thanks. Love you guys.

As a new resident of Omaha, I have to dry Block 16 is my go to spot. Whether it's their creative fries (my fav is the duck duck goose fries), delicious burgers and chicken thighs, or their local beers, this place has yet to let me down. Dining in or take out, I've been impressed with Block 16 and have the goal of trying everything on their menu.

Was really impressed with all of the different types of “fun fries”! Tried 4 different types from everyone ordering a different kind and all were good. Only disappointment was not being able to sit down there to eat it hot and fresh; (hence the 4 star rating instead of a 5). Had both types of chicken and it was really good. Also tried the pulled pork and was impressed with the sauce and how well it blended with the rest of the sandwich.

Wow. Just wow. The menu is interesting - I needed help understanding a few things- but it was delicious!!! They were super busy which is a good sign. I had the veggie block burger minus the PB and sweet potato fries. It was incredible. The atmosphere is modern eclectic and to find a seat you might need to eat European style. I felt a real sense of community here. Really enjoyed the meal, the super fast service, and the atmosphere. Well done Block 16. You’re simply divine!

First of all, I love how dedicated the owners are to the community. Second, the food is amazing! Best sweet potato fries I've found in Omaha so far. Unique and delicious burgers and the menu is large enough that there's a good variety but small enough that they do everything well and you don't get decision fatigue. Remember to bring your own reusable straw if you're like me and don't like paper straws :)

We love B16! The outside is nothing to look at (you may miss it at first), but he best sandwiches at a great price. The bacon brie is our go to item (with arugula and apple butter). Also like their seasoned fries with their special sauce. The croque burger is worth the trip, too. This is more of a farm to table type casual restaurant without the ridiculous prices. Daily specials seem to usually run out so go early if want those. They recently reopened the dining room. Check hours before going.

What can I say? Block 16 is Omaha's top restaurant. You have burgers, wraps, beer, fries, daily specials, all with a unique Block 16 touch. And by daily I literally mean something new daily. Not the "daily special" that's been written on a blackboard since opening, these folks make their own genuine and unique creations every day. My personal favorite menu item is the Dragon Wrap, which they had recently removed from the menu, but they listened to their customers. There was a mini uproar asking for the Dragon Wrap back and they listened. They brought this delicious wrap back, I love democracy. Their staff is always super hip and nice. They move quickly, far opposite from what the lines do. Do expect the lines to be long, this place is PACKED at the peak of lunch and dinner. Worth the wait though. Overall 10/10, 5 stars, two thumbs up, 100% etc.

I ordered a salad and they said they were out of chicken. The sweet potato fries were really good. They don't have any kids meals. That was probably the most disappointing thing. The staff was nice. The music was loud and the staff were wearing masks so they were really hard to hear.

I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Contrary to the outside Block 16 had great lighting, table spacing, and was eco friendly. The fries were the best tasting fries I have ever had. The crab Rangoon burger and the sloppy Nick burger were okay. I will have a different burger when I go back. Definitely another customer here.

Ordered two block burgers. Was told they were cooked med to med rare. One burger cooked perfect one burger more raw to meduim raw. Inside was cool raw. Thank goodness i had a pan to recook.

Have you guys tried the chicken? Why is this not a big thing? Or did everyone already know about it? It’s incredible and well crafted. Perfectly cooked. Not oily. I traveled 15 minutes with them in a to go package and the skin was still crunchy and the meat still tender and juicy. I tend to enjoy a more “seasoned” batter, but this chicken was incredibly good no doubt. Next time will try the Nashville Hot with a side of ranch and update review.

This place is phenomenal. Their food was some of the best we’ve had in Omaha, the pricing was super fair, and their service was super helpful. I mentioned having a food allergy in our order and the person on the phone talked through multiple options before we landed on the perfect one that we knew we be tasty and safe. I’m not sure how much more I can say that all the other five stars haven’t, but I will add, as someone who just recently relocated from the South, their Nashville hot chicken is really, really good. Like, I wanted to get another order immediately the next day but they were closed on Sunday. Also, the croque garçon burger is pretty much the best burger in Omaha. But again, not sure what I can add there since Alton Brown has already sung its praises.

Interesting flavor combinations and generous portion sizes but the salt levels in the food were a mixed bag. It took over 25 minutes after ordering to get 2 sandwiches and poutine on a Saturday evening at 6:30. The brisket on the Jeffrey was over-salted and so was the gravy on the poutine. I'm a bit of a salt addict but this was too salty even for me. The pulled pork sandwich, by contrast, didn't seem to have enough salt on it, but it could be that my taste buds were overpowered by the salt from the brisket.

The order process is kind of weird, you stand in line in the middle of tables and order at the counter than sit and wait for them to call your name to come up at get your food. They definitely need a bigger space because this place is so popular! The food is to die for. My personal favorite is the crab fries. Everyone I’ve brought here has loved them as well. Some of the best food in the area. I have done takeout weekly for many months, calling in the order to avoid crowds and covid. Unfortunately, with all their success, they have become a bit careless. They stopped answering the phone supposedly due to high number of customers in the store. I went in person to find I was the only person at the counter, and the item I planned to get was taken off the menu. I hope they learn to take better care of their customers. Not a smart move during a pandemic.

The only 2 downsides are how busy it gets & it's a little pricey. Also can get pretty loud cause of the vaulted ceilings. Tonight we were greeted with excellent customer service as always and ordered the 3 Happiness burger, the Sloppy Nick and a 4 peice of their plum creek farms chicken thighs. The Creations that B16 come up with work so well together to give your taste buds a party in the mouth. You can tell that the cooks put everything into their dish and take pride in their craft. I have been coming to B16 for years and I am just now writing a review based on my last experience. The FRIED CHICKEN. It was out if this world. The Breading was perfectly seasoned, crispy and crunchy. The meat was tender, juicy and packed with flavor. If you like chicken you need to try this place out! Or let me rephrase that. If you like a restaurant that only puts rockstar dishes on the menu, you need to try this place out! Thank You B16 for making me feel like a child getting a happy meal again, because everytime I get food from your restaurant I cannot help but smile!

High quality ingredients, good prices and friendly staff make this a great lunch spot. I recommend the putine burrito. It's heavy but it's well worth the food coma. I LOVE the fact that they have blended burgers here (blended burgers = meat grinds that contain at least 25% mushroom)! I learned about them when the mushroom council came to visit my work and have loved the idea ever since. It's actually my preferred method of making burgers now.

I used to work a block away and would go here at least once a week. The food and service is what kept me coming back. I have never had a bad meal here. The only thing I would warn is it's INCREDIBLY easy to spend a good chunk of money here, but I will gladly do so for the quality of food and service.

A really cool hip place. Did not think I would be able to find a place like this in Omaha. It kind of reminded me of the hipster joints in downtown Kansas City. What a cool place! I love all the interesting menu items. The service is pretty fast for such a small operation. Inside you walk up to a counter to order. The menu is written on a chalkboard hanging on the wall. There's also an overflow area for with more seating. I've only ever been here for lunch but it can get pretty busy. I got the Gouda grilled cheese with cayenne raspberry jelly and oh my goodness it was so good. I got it with sweet potato fries which were also excellent. My friends got the sloppy joe and the poutine wrap and they both loved them. I can't wait to try the other menu items! Overall definitely worth a visit.

Holy Moley! What can I say? This place was AMAZING! Possibly one of the best burgers I have ever had. This was out first time ever going there. We decided to go after I saw a tweet from the for the Mcrodeo sandwich. Sadly that was like a one day lunch special so they did not have it when I went. Instead I got the rainy day burger. It was raining at the time so not sure if they only serve it when it rains but it was amazing. The sweet potato fries were so good and their house sauce they have was so good as well. the place was packed! They seem like a very green eating establishment as well. I probably wont get back there for a few years but i cant wait when I do. Simply amazing burger!

Heard good things about this place so we tried them for lunch. We ordered the Red Dragon chicken sandwich. Overall it was good, but really sloppy to try and eat without a large stack of napkins. The chicken was good, tossed in a flavorful but not too hot sauce. The mac-n-cheese was just ok. It was a little grainy in texture. Pickles were good, and with a few more, you could have skipped the coleslaw altogether. Fries were good and plentiful. Duck duck goose fries were weird. That's all I can say about them except the meat was a bit gamey. Concept sounded cool, but dish didn't really deliver. Kind of pointless. Seating a bit of a challenge, but that's also because they were busy. Hard to judge by just one visit, but I do want try some of their other menu items. Prices were reasonable.

Came here after such good reviews. Did not disappoint. Long line but we came in at 11:30 which was perfect before the rush. Had a burger (of course) and their fries were great. Lots of options for fries as well. The only minor complaint was their napkins are the cheapo kind that makes McDonalds look fancy. They are very thin and eating a messy saucy burger will require 3 napkins every time you wipe your hands. But really that was trivial compared to the food that we all experienced here.

It was a little hard to find from the street, it seemed purposefully hidden in plain site. This is not a be seated and a server will assist you type of place. Walking in you'll approach the counter and order from the hanging menu. I would suggest you review the menu before stepping in line, people are going in and out very quickly. All of the food was great, fresh, and definitely home made recipes. The menu has good variety all while sticking to a 'home grown' theme. If you're from the south like I am, the fried chicken will be a bit different (but still good). It was battered with bread crumbs rather than the usual egg wash and flour. The 'Gangsta Fries' were unique and very tasty. They have a very small area for seating, I would consider this a quick hang out with a small group of friends, casual date, or a place to grab a bite by yourself.

The setting is nice, but the music is a little loud which makes listening up for your order a little bit of a challenge. Just a single unisex bathroom at this location, so be sure to keep that in mind when you arrive.

The Poutine is a stand-out dish for sure. It gets crazy busy during my lunch break, but I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food. Inventive cuisine that feels new and adventurous, but can be enjoyed comfortably by more than just foodies. Staff is wonderful which seals the deal for me! Would give more stars if I was allowed to!

I've been here twice now and both times have been amazing. I got the Lux (a sandwich with duck pastrami, ham and more) on this most recent visit and it was mouth watering good. The fries are great also. They have specials but be quick because they run out! The only thing to be cautious of is this place can get packed and there isn't a lot of seating if you plan to dine in.

On the food alone, this place is great. When you factor in the low prices, it becomes amazing! Line was to the door when we got there but moved pretty quickly. I had the poutine which was unbelievable with a delicious thick gravy. Also had a pulled pork roll sandwich which was excellent. Wife had crab Rangoon fries which were very good and fried chicken thighs that were some of the best we've had in Omaha. This is a very fun place to have a delicious meal at a great price in downtown Omaha. I can't wait to go back.

Bit of a wait but wasn't too bad considering we were right at dinner rush 6:30, but we did have to spend about 10 minutes of our 25 minute wait to order outside, so be aware if it's freezing rain out, it could suck. The food as my wife said was worth it tho. I managed to snag a side of Mac n Cheese before they sold out, because it was part of their dinner special. Was (almost) the best restaurant Mac I've had, although it was more creamy than cheesy. The crab Rangoon fries were from another planet! So good, the sauce they put over the whole thing had a sweet heat to it. My wife's block burger was delicious, perfectly cooked medium, and juicy, fresh toppings, the regular fries well seasoned and crispy. My pulled pork roll was a bit fatty but melted in my mouth, once I hit the cheese it was another level. My one complaint, or rather suggestion is that it needed something acidic, a tangy BBQ sauce or more mustard, something to cut thru all that fat to balance it out. Great change of pace for us tho and I'm glad we went, we'll be back again I'm sure. -had to edit this because of the Mac n Cheese I just had at the Stokin Goat... Still love the creative dishes here though!

A burger joint with a bit of a hipster atmosphere from the lightbulbs to the straws. We came here after the zoo, we tried their burgers, chicken salad, Dessert bar, Side salad, Adult grilled cheese. Everything tasted phenomenal, but it was very heavy, even the salad. The vegan poutine was extremely disappointing- it was fries with thin gravy & literally two slices of vegan cheese on top. It felt very lazy & not really worth the money. Shredded cheese or even chopping up the slices would’ve made a huge difference as we had to chop it up & mix it around ourselves to make it edible. Eliote fries are much more worth it & were delicious.

One of the best burger places in Omaha! I had been hearing great things about this place for awhile and finally stopped in on a Saturday. Get there right when it opens!! By 11:10 there was already a line to the door! The crab rangoon burger is loaded with cream cheese and topped with a sweet chili sauce! It's a dance party in your mouth! Be sure to get one of their loaded fries as well!

Block 16 offers an excellent menu (primarily upscale burgers) at very reasonable prices. Be wary of what time you visit as it can get very busy during the lunch hours. They recently expanded, which makes eating on premise much easier. The atmosphere is also very enjoyable with a clean and bright inviting feel. If your in the downtown area of Omaha looking for a non-chain option, this is definitely worth the stop.

Great food, great prices, and most importantly (to my mind), a unique and ever-changing menu. You can get a cheeseburger and fries anywhere, but where else are you going to get Duck Duck Goose Fries? Who even thinks of that? Follow them on Facebook and you'll want to eat there every day, because they're always sharing photos of their daily creations, and they all look delicious. They've got a nice selection of local beers too. Show up early or be prepared to wait a while; it's an understandably popular spot!

Burger was delicious and the fries were unique and tasty! My girlfriend and I enjoyed a casual date night at the high top table by the windows. Staff was friendly and the food didn't take long in spite of being very busy. Only disappointment was they were out of prime rib for the Block Deluxe sandwich but we had the short rib sandwich instead and it did not disappoint! *EDIT* Been back a couple times since our first visit and Block 16 has easily become one of our favorite spots for a casual bite to eat. Swanky sandwich shop in the middle of Omaha. There’s a black box on the door that covers the signage so it’s a little hard to find but the food was rockin, I’d definitely go again. I got the veggie block burger and my boyfriend got the red night. I love that they have vegan options and are very conscious about asking for your preferences. We both enjoyed our sandwiches.

An amazing, not-pricey food experience for downtown Omaha. While it is usually always packed, the food here is excellent and their daily specials posted on Facebook are usually awesome, even if a little wacky. If you like food and you're in the downtown area YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE. They have some amazing options for food and at a great price. It's a small location so if you're going at a high peak time like lunch it's going to be busy and a little crowded, but it's totally worth the wait for the food that you get. AMAZING food!! Did an overnight trip to Omaha for the Zoo and Old Market and tried finding a place to eat that had unique food for a good price. Block 16 was the perfect place. We ordered the Dragon Fries and Gangsta Fries and BOTH were amazing. Also got the traditional Gyro and was equally pleased. Highly recommended!

The daily special was divine (Griddled le q sourdough, cholula fried chicken, provolone, bacon, scallion slaw and house spinach artichoke dip)! I transcended from my body and watched my face and hands get saucy as I delighted in the creation I had partaken in. Kids chicken tenders were devoured. Great little spot, expect a crowd. Service is a simple counter based affair. Some of the most flavor packed food I've had in a while. We sampled the Croque Garcon Burger and the Sloppy Nick accompanied by Duck Duck Goose Fries and Gangsta Fries. High expectations for first time, my conclusion ended up rating even higher. This place is no joke. Pitch perfect atmosphere, pricing and culinary philosophy; the food is inspired, fresh and local, and positively sensation inducing. We ordered 4 pieces of fried chicken, 2 hot and 2 regular. Boyfriend ordered a burger and I got a salad. Everything was VERY good! I LOVE the fact that they have blended burgers here (blended burgers = meat grinds that contain at least 25% mushroom)! I learned about them when the mushroom council came to visit my work and have loved the idea ever since. It's actually my preferred method of making burgers now. They're vegetarian burger is a house-made lentil patty but I, unfortunately, didn't get a chance to try this time around but will be back for it! I dinged Block 16 for the fries. The fries themselves were good, but not great. The toppings on the fries were heavy handed and a bit out of balance. Each bite felt like a mouthful of dip with a fry somewhere in the mix. They are great ideas that need a little more editing.

They have a surprising amount of options for people who eat vegetarian/vegan, and were so friendly explaining the menu for me. I had a grilled cheese sandwich on fresh authentic sourdough bread, with fries. Usually I don't like restaurant vegetarian food, as it's usually treated as an inconvenience and can be boring. Block 16 is a new and exciting option to the vegetarians and vegans in Omaha. I couldn't replicate their food if I tried. That's the sign for me that it's truly something special. Plus the staff was so kind! The women at the register went out of their way to help me with questions about ingredients in the food. I have stomach issues, so I super appreciate when employees try to make sure they aren't serving me something that might make me sick. Oh and if you're a french fry lover, you're in for a real (potato) treat.

I eat food, ive eaten food all over the world, Michelin star to seedy street vendors that only the brave dare try. One star is earned for each of the following: service, quality of food, cost vs quantity ratio, presentation, ambiance. Trying to simplify ratings, the rating is relative to the area, not compared to the world. This is a great place to eat sandwiches and the like. Quality food, not a lot of food for what you pay but prepared well. Presentation is very simple and cheap, however it fits well with the atmosphere. More of a self serve, friendly gathering sort of feel to it with a modern hipster kind of menu. I would recommend trying it to see if it is your sort of thing. Personally I wouldn't intentionally frequent it but its worth a shot to see if you would.

I would go again to try my hand at a different sandwich.Just was a little disheartening that the burger my hubby ordered was not medium but medium rare borderline rare. Also as much as we enjoyed the Dragon fries and duck fries (Dragon fries were by far the fave!) The amount of salt was very heavy laden. Enjoyed our beer: zip line oatmeal stout and dark side.Good to bring the kiddos if you can snag yourself a booth seat!

I’ve been to Block 16 twice and enjoyed every menu item I’ve tried. They really know their way around a grilled cheese. The only problem is that every time someone mentions visiting the restaurant, I internally cringe. The space is high-anxiety and I can never quite steel myself for the experience. Lines are long, seating is tight. Standing in line, it isn’t immediately clear whether you’ll get a seat once your food is ready, then you feel like you have to finish quickly to free up the table. I probably won’t go back unless it’s for takeout (and I’m hesitant since this style of food is best eaten as fresh as possible).

So I heard this was the place to go, they were right! We got there at 4:50pm and there was already a line. It's a little unusual how it works, you stand in line to order (can be awhile), place your order and pay, get your drinks, then you sit and your order will be brought to you. Now I consider this weird since its seems to be an upscale place, but with fast food style service. I am not even sure how you would order more beer (I got two just in case) or drinks with a line of people waiting to order and no wait staff. That all being said, the food was the star of the show. We got the crab rangoon fries, poutine fries, grilled cheese sandwich of the day and a beef tips in gravy over mashed potatoes with fried brussel sprouts (weird item to offer considering the other menu options). I will say that all items were good, but the crab rangoon fries were to die for. You will travel to this place again for these fries. My one issue was the grilled cheese. It was suppose to be a mix of cheeses with an apricot jam on sourdough. I could hardly taste the apricot jam and the cheeses did not pair together well. Still I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

From the moment I walked in I knew this wasn't your typical burger joint! The interior decor was hip and unique. As I waited in line, I did notice the music was slightly too loud, making it difficult to communicate with others. The staff was very friendly and offered helpful advice for a first timer. With their new backroom space, the system of calling names when your order is finished was slightly dysfunctional. However they were kind enough to deliver our food to a back table, as we did not hear our names called. They offered plenty of seating space, to accommodate all sized groups. My food was ready in a timely fashion. I went with the highly praised Croque Garçon burger, and it exceeded my expectations. Paired with the Gangsta Fries, I had a delicious and sizeable meal. I would highly recommend Block 16 to any burger lover as well as anyone who loves to try new things. Overall, GREAT food and WONDERFUL experience. I will absolutely be back to Block 16 in the near future.

If you only have the opportunity to eat at one restaurant in the area- make it this one. Everything you can order is the best thing you could order, so just pick out an sandwich and enjoy. However, the *must* try is the dragon fries- I'm not sure what is in them, but it may as well be crack because they are that addicting! Be prepared though- they are generally packed open to close, and rightfully so. So get there early so as to not get beat out by the crowd!

Very yummy food! Very good vibes :) Only complaint is the wait to order and the wait for food. With children, it’s a struggle. 50 minutes to order and get food at 11am on Friday.

My brother said the chicken thighs were the best fried chicken he'd had in a long time. I was happy to see plenty of options to change meat-based sandwiches to vegetarian or vegan meals. The dragon fries are bomb !!! Incredibly reasonable prices to boot.

Amazing awesome food, and a cute little establishment too. I had the block burger, as it was recommended as the best in omaha, and the duck duck goose fries. Absolutely fantastic! So perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorfull. Plus I even loved the playlist, from Teddy Pendergrass to Naughty by Nature to Alice in Chains, that sounds like it was made just for me.

Stopped by on a cross-country roadtrip in the middle of the day on a Saturday. The rest of downtown was deserted, but there was a line out the door here. Despite the popularity with the locals, I found myself surprisingly not blown away. Maybe this type of food is hard to get in Omaha, but I found it fairly ordinary, with prices that weren't cheap by coastal standards. The dragon fries were more cute than good - it's pretty novel crumbling a fortune cookie (with fortune!) into french fries, but the end result is pretty much just the sum of the parts. The sandwiches were also fine, but nothing much to write home about.

“Really Great Steakhouse” We went based on TA reviews because we wanted to visit a good steakhouse. The Drover fit the bill exactly. Wonderful marinated flavor and bacon wrapped shrimp were excellent too. Sides were done perfectly as well.

Went here with brother and his girlfriend who’s from out of town. Long wait, good food. Brothers girlfriend got the vegan burrito and she wasn’t fond of it. She said it was too salty. She has been a vegan for years. Just wanted to throw that out there for everyone who is vegan.

One of the best places in Omaha and probably the place I eat most often. It's great because it's menu appeals to everyone, including the critical foodie. Most of the menu is good, but the best rule to live by is "Always get the special".

You can easily find something new and delicious to try at every visit. Service is fast and friendly. It's a go-to lunch spot for friends too. They can get busy especially when they have limited specials, but the wait is worth it. Set aside some time to go.

I was visiting Omaha and wanted to grab a bite before heading home to Des Moines. I discovered this place by a Google search and I am so glad I did. First, parking is on the street so depending what time of day you may have to search. On arrival I was overwhelmed by a crowd of people in line at the counter. The line went quickly and allowed me to look over the options. I could have eaten everything but instead settled on a crocet garson, block burger, and deluxe block with a side of poutine and crab ragoon fries. We waited a few minutes for a seat and our food came out pretty quick which was a surprise since they were terribly busy. The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Poutine is typically a bit too salty but it was not here. My 2 toddlers loved it so much that they didn’t want to share! The burgers were cooked perfectly, a bit messy, and flavorful. I have never seen those particular ingredients together and it was a winner. Staff is friendly. Everything appears clean. The music is loud which I prefer since it drown out the noise of my 18 month old and 2.5 year old. This will be a go to in Omaha!

This was my second visit to Block 16. My first visit went extremely well, and I was allready saying it's the best restaurant i have been to in my short time in Omaha. This visit was even better. Several times I found my eyes rolling back in my head because the food was that delicious. This visit I had the crab rangoon fries, and the Carque Garcon. Typically I quickly latch onto a favorite entree at a new restaurant. Block 16 I can not wait to try the entire menu.

Some of the best food you'll ever eat...but you better get their early and be prepared to wait a bit. Lunch times during the week leave you with two options, show up at 11am when they open to get a seat there or be prepared to wait and take it to go. The food is fantastic though and they prepare specials that are often super creative and delicious as well.

One of the best restaurants in town. Haven't had an issue even on the most complex of orders. Fantastic fried chicken, amazingly good fries and daily specials that make you want to eat nowhere else.
