Due to the Pandemic, they raised thier price a little bit. This establishment only takes cash, and you pay by the pound. There isn't a big meat selection. The chicken was kinda hard, and the yams weren't good at all.

Went there on a whim and got what you see in the picture. The jerk chicken was very tasty. The fried chicken was dry. The salad with their dressing tasted like plain salad. The food is weighed up in the front.

So I had the rice & beans, corn jerk chicken , honey chicken & a slice of salmon . Oh and some candied Yams . All this for under $12 . Great prices, Good flavor, clean establishment. They have Glass placed on an angle around the steam tables so that if you're on the phone or just so happen to be speaking to someone you won't spit all over the food 👍👍👍This place is a must try !!!

Wings were good. Chicken had good flavor, but not crispy bc it's on a buffet line. Liked the greens, cornbread(lil mo butter) jerk Chicken & cabbage. Wish we would've gotten there earlier for larger pieces of the oxtail.

The food is always great there! Everything's well prepared, and seasoned just right. My issue is sheer volume: There's so much delicious food, I just have such a hard time deciding on what to get. No one's rude, you can also eat-in. And their cake slices, OMG! Are so appetizing it's impossible to pass them up, lol. The meal is unbeatable. The cost, simply depends on how much you indulge.

I love this place. I’m so sad to hear that one of its locations recent fire. I prey they are able to recover. I’m super happy I was able to eat from them this past weekend. I was literally at an Italian restaurant for drinks I could have eaten there but chose to get my dinner from Sweet Mama’s. I absolutely love the jerk chicken, Mac and cheese, greens and yellow rice with veggies. That’s my go to meal. My deepest prayers to the owners. I look forward to eating from you all again in the near future.

Absolute bliss. I have never gone wrong here. They should beautify the inside though. Step your game up step your cutomer up. On Garbage day in this neighborhood at night, the rats tule the streets. They travel 10 and twenty deep. Not good seeing rat(s) when going to eat. Is there anything that can be done about this? Sorry for that family! The food is delicious.

White Men are So Sexy

The food is good, the fruits, vegetables and salads looks fresh. But the restaurant itself needs serious renovating, its really dirty in there.

This spot is one of my favorite soul food places to eat .They have an open buffet so you can pick up all your favorite foods in one plate . The staff is so friendly and have great customer service. I would recommend this spot for anyone in harlem looking for genuine tasting soul food .

I will not award five stars. Rather the restaurant deserves three stars. The environment is clean and good. It is the food that I am worried about. There is too much salt in the food. Sugar is added to the vegetables. We have to watch our carbohydrates and sodium intake as a race. We are prone to diabetes as well as high blood pressure. This is important reason for any establishment catering food to us has to be concerned about helping us preserve our good health. I have expressed my concern about this matter to almost everyone running this restaurant to no effect. It is my hope that the proprietors of this restaurant will make changes that will be conducive to the health of all the patrons served.

It is a buffet style restaurant which has take out only for for now do to COVID 19 virus. Required that you wear mask for entry or no service. There is a hand pump sanitizer at the front of counter to use before you begin serving yourself. Sweet Mama's has several food items to choose from such as oxtail, collard greens, mac & cheese, ziti, fish, cabbage, jerk chicken, bbq chicken, yams. There is also fresh fruits, cakes and canned beverages. The food is good but can be pricey which is about $5.99 a pound and is weighed on a scale. It is a good place to go for a quick bite to eat but not everyday unless you can afford to spend between $10.00-$20.00 plus tax. Credit & debit cards are accepted.

Another Harlem classic joint. This one is casual, lots of workers pick up lunch here. It's a sale bar food far style restaurant. You can sit, I always like to take out here. All the southern comfort food your heart desires, and they also have a great selection of salad options.

Second time here! Being from the South, I have to say the food is good! However, they weigh your plate and hit you in the head with the price per pound so be leery of that!
