Reviews of Fat Boy Pantry
This place is awesome. Hands down the best lobster possible boy I have ever had. The ice cream is amazing. You can tell that it is home made.
This is a must try in NOLA. I am going to become a regular.
Such great food!! Got the Fried Lobster Po Boy with Bacon and Avocado, and it was sooo good! Everything about it was next level! It’s market price though so be prepared for it to be quite a bit more expensive than the other menu items. The dudes working there were very helpful and friendly! Great place to get a bite to eat!
This food is fire! Danny and Joe are awesome! The French fries are better than five guys and any other sandwiches. Fresh crispy and addicting. After finishing my philly which was perfect, I couldn’t stop eating my fries! Worth the walk!
Got the lobster poboy for take out and it was amazing! The fries needed more seasoning, but otherwise were good. Deducted one star because their website doesn't show current flavors of ice cream and when I tried to call, the number was not a working phone number.
Went solely for the ice cream and had the best time! The ice cream flavors were so original without sacrificing quality taste or going so unique for novelty that it doesn’t even taste good. Flavors I never even thought of having were DELICIOUS, the Italian bakery flavor was unreal! Great friendly staff along with tons of seating and parking to pull up. Not to mention so affordable for how much ice cream comes in the scoop
This place has everything! Great for families or quick pit stop. Two types of fries, few types of sandwiches and beverages, indoor/outdoor seating. Good cooked to order and tasted times better than it looks!
First visit, got the Philly Cheese on recommendation of owner...right on point, hot, messy, and delicious...including fresh cut fries.
Told the "indoor seating is not available due to a large party coming soon..." I must say the outdoor seating is a 1 STAR, right on Magazine with speeding cars, way to close! The ditch is disgusting and stinks, but that's most of NOLA anyway...so no one came to sit inside the whole time I was there...if you can't eat inside I'd recommendation take away only.
Great people serving great food. Had their sloppy joe with fries and it was not your average joe. A bit of spice with thick crisp fries. Highly recommend this causal spot with friendly employees. They have beer, ice cream and a fancy coffee machine if you’re into that as well.
If you're looking for a fantastic PO boy with lobster, this place has it. Be prepared to pay a premium but well worth it. Warning, serving sizes are big and the fries are very very good- you may need to work out extra hard to get through this delicious meal.
Happened upon this place across from the parking lot on Magazine street. Cute logo and a truck with the same logo sculpture on top. The food selection was, as I recall, mostly po boys, the sandwiches are served with very good sliced potato 'chips' ( to thick for chips but extremely good!). The only seating is a street stand with benches to enjoy the meal. I had a breakfast sandwich (not sure the menu name) I could only finish half, portions are satisfying and the some. A recommended spot for a great sandwich and fries, don't count the calories though...
Stumbled onto this on a long walk. This place really needs some marketing help. We were just looking for OJ but they had so much wonderful options. We hung out with our fresh squeezed concoctions. This is a must stop for exploring.
The ice cream is a rich cross between Italian Gelato and the richest American style ice cream you have ever had. The flavors are creative, fully customized and absolutely tongue twisting good.
The variety of sandwiches and hand cut fries remind me of Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive Ins and Dives … they are phenomenal. Each sandwich provides a NOLA-Italian Twist on American style classics.
Last, but not least - their custom espresso’s made on an Italian style espresso machine with wood handles. Did I mention the juiced veggies? Freaking amazing juices for your imbibing pleasure.
Fat Boy’s Pantry is a hidden gem. Not a hole in the wall - this place is the best kept open secret in the Lower Garden District - NOLA. Do. Not. Pass. By. Do not pass “Go” and collect $200 dollars. Come in - grab a trunk stool and belly up to the bar table. [psst - Add a shot of top shelf bourbon to that Espresso/Latte!].
I’ve had it all - Danny & Bri are masters.
In town for a conference and torn on lunch spots…. But when locals heard our group discussing options while we walked down the street and they ALL said not to miss this place, we obeyed.
I can’t even describe how good the lobster po’boy was. The best po’boy I’ve ever had. The first bite was rapturous. My friend had never had lobster and had never had a po’boy, was very worried she wouldn’t like it but she was equally overcome. To the point we were recruiting other people off the street to try it.
Portion is enormous and you could split it, but why????
I tried the fried lobster poboy 🦞 it was mildly seasoned so you can taste the lobster. So delicious 😋 Will be ordering again.
A local who had not eaten here. I stopped in for lunch but the internet was down and order’s couldn’t be take. I decided to wait. Worth the wait. I got the Pantry Cheese burger with egg, bacon and avocado. Fries were good. Yum. I’m a stuffed fat boy in need of a nap now. 😴 …
Quality food for a late-night crowd. The Fried Lobster Po'Boy is market price (thanks inflation) but worth the cost. Freshly-squeezed juices, too.
This place has the best sandwiches I’ve had in New Orleans, hands down! Portions are huge and the employees are so nice. Deducting one star because they raised prices and it was not posted anywhere and the menu is not reflective of the changes.
One of our favorite spots in the LGD! The atmosphere is great, whether you're dining inside or outside on their new deck. One of the few places in town where you can get full off your meal (the cheeseburgers & fries are excellent) and where the staff are friendly and warm to everyone (including your fur babies). The ice cream is also a must, they always have fun and seasonal flavors.
Ice cream is very tasty and they have very unique flavors. It’s just very soft so if you want like frozen ice cream, it won’t be exactly like that. The flavors are delicious though and they’re not the usual vanilla and chocolate
Wow to the wow wow!! This lobster is better than shrimp! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu
Overall, my experience at Fat Boys in New Orleans was mixed. The server seemed distracted and we had to wait longer than expected to be served although will give them the benefit of the doubt as it was late on a Sunday. The sandwich I ordered (Benedict) was very good and the portion sizes were generous, but the price was two dollars more than advertised. While the food was a highlight, the service and pricing were disappointing.
Got the sloppy joe. So delicious. The fries were the best fries I've had in awhile. Highly recommend this place. Normally get a picture of the food but couldn't because we ate it too quickly.
So glad we stumbled upon this place on our trip here from out of state! Ordered the fried lobster po' boy and I honestly think it was the best thing we had our entire trip! Loved the vibe and everything was so good!
The Philly cheese steak was pretty good, it s ablot and a bit too much with the cheese and the meat for me and got old before I could finish. I d split it if I were to come back. The fries were really good. Service was ok.
Great poboy selection and the Philly cheese steak, the sloppy Joe, and the Greek were lovely. Great French fries as well.
This was great! The city don’t have too much lobster but this is one of the few places that do. Definitely worth checking out!
If you’re planning a cheat day, make sure you head here. Their ice cream flavors were so creative. The owner let us sample every flavor, making sure we were more than satisfied with our choice. I’d come back to try their lunch meals. Must try !
While some part of me like the loud post-collegiate stoner vibe, I was disappointed in variations in the quality of their products, I ordered two affogato desserts (espresso w gelato), and one of them was watered down drip coffee, while the other was properly done I would describe the whole operation as "sophomoric" at best, or maybe their staff needs to be a little less "stoned"
I came across this restaurant on google looking for a late night meal after driving into New Orleans. I kept looking at the lobster poboy and wondering is this really worth 25$?
Let me tell you it’s worth the 25$!!! Its been a month and i’m still thinking about how delicious that poboy was! I’d come right back again and spend that money! Delicious😋😋😋 (step sons face says it all)
Nice little hipster joint that serves delicous food.
I had an amazing Lobster Po' Boy here. The best i have ever had. I can easily recommend this place.
Food was unique and very tasty. Service was sweet and efficient. Location is in a crowded area and there is nowhere to sit in and eat, only picnic tables on the street. It's a great place to grab and go, especially the coffee!!
I was hesitant to go because some reviews said they were over priced and skimpy. I had the lobster sandwich and it had a lot of really chunky pieces of lobster so I think it's really worth the price. I also sampled the ice cream which was really good. I will be back.
Sidelined here after first brunch stop did not have available tables. WELCOMED SUPRISE. Friendly staff and fresh delicious food. Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice did not disappoint.
OMG this place. The lobster Po Boy is one of the best things i've ever eaten. Friendly staff. Nice icecream selection too.
Do you want to interact with some of the coolest guys in the city and get one of the best sandwiches in your life? Go to Fat Boy Pantry. They also have some premium ice cream flavors and top tier coffee. If you're stumbling around in the area after happy hour don't pass it up.
This place is amazing. The caramel ice cream was just unbelievable. I couldn't even wait to snap this pic. There are also a few odd ball flavors that are also worth trying. I sampled the pear and Gorgonzola cheese ice cream and is surprised the hell outta me. The Cuban sandwich and fries were great too.
Nice, down to earth owner. Food was absolutely delicious. Loved the eye opener coffee.
Amazing lobster Poboy! Juicy with great sauce. Fries gets a bit soggy when they wrap everything up together and got smothered. It’s fresh hand cut and still tasty.
Do yourself and order the Fried Lobster Po-Boy
I spent a week in New Orleans and this was easily my favorite spot!
They also have a boar sloppy joe.
Small spot with single bathroom.
They sell coffee, ice cream and have beer.
Enjoy!!
This little hole in the wall restaurant was a great experience to have for the first time in New Orleans. I had the Wild Boar Sloppy Joe the way the Owner said he liked and and it was fantastic! The fries were also banging, being crispy but thick and their homemade ice cream was wonderful. Will definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in town!
Lobster poboy was amazing! Some of the reviews say not enough meat but that's so not true...they were not skippy at all!!!
This place is AWESOME! We got a couple of the Lobster Po’Boys and it was amazing!
Incredible!! You should 100% eat here. Everything my husband and I have had has been amazing, and we have visited multiple times. Dudes who work the counter are super cool too. Easy 5 stars.
Delicious sandwiches. Small menu. Very clean. Ice cream was really good too.
The Lobster po boy was worth it.
Lamb chops had a great herby flavor to them. Paired well with the string beans and potatoes.
I danced.😋
Legit!!!! So great for late night food after spending time at the bars! Friendly staff and amazing food!
This fat boy loved it! Meatball parm was killer and the burger hit like no other! Good work boys worth the walk every time
Delicious!!!!! Ordered the pantry cheeseburger. It comes wrapped in butcher paper with fries. The food was really hot!!! Will return.
Great people with great food. Breakfast pita was so good. Ice-cream is the best in the area. Highly recommend for breakfast or a quick snack. 🤤 …
If you want GREAT quality food and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE come to this restaurant!!! The gentleman assisting us was super informative and answered every single question we had. The food is cooked fresh and the ice cream is awesome! Definitely coming back.
Best lobster Poboy sandwich I ever had. Two cool guys(may be managers or owners) and nice kitchen stuff. My friend actually got up the next day and got some more food from their place again 🤣🤣 was that good!!... We was in New Orleans for one night 👌🏿👍🏿🤙🏿🙌🏿
We just recently moved so we’ve been checking out all the spots for po’boys and damn this place was good!! We got the lobster po’boy and it was beyond delicious. The staff helped us decide what to order and they honestly made the experience a 10/10!!!
2Tall, the lovely guy who took our orders was helpful, charismatic and really conversational. Joe, the guy cooking the food deserves a medal, he threw down! Can’t wait to go back, it was so good, the fries were amazing and the condiments on hand definitely set them apart.
I heard that Chicago knows how to make a great sandwich, they did not disappoint. I give FBP five stars for a few reasons such as its diversity in menu choices. Lobster roll (not sushi) , old school burgers are order two for yourself kind of place. The freshness of the food also gets high marks. Follow that up with a homemade scoop of Italian style ice cream and you are set for satisfaction. Great hours also. enjoy!
The Lobster sandwich was delicious! The bread was perfect. The guys working were very friendly and made a delicious Bloody Mary. My kids loved the ice cream.
After a great movie date night with my beloved had Lobster po'boy. It was our first time. Service was great. Fries were a bit burnt tasting and the Po'boy would have been better with some type of slaw or lettuce on the sandwich.
The sandwiches were great along with some amazing fries.
This is pretty much everything I like. Nice space, excellent food, coffee that's awesome, ice cream at 8am, big stumps to sit on. To-go food without a bunch of syrafoam, fresh juices. Yep 100%. Going back today.
I absolutely love this place! South Georgia to NOLA! Perfect! Great atmosphere and beer!
Delicious, hot & well seasoned sandwiches!! The best Philly Steak sandwich I’ve ever had! Melt in your mouth steak, perfectly caramelized onions, the cheese was cheesy goodness, so creamy! Soft toasted bread and the perfect pepper!! The Fried Lobster was just as great with that remoulade!! Amazing flavors, sandwiches made perfect! I’ll be craving these sandwiches until I can get another one!!! Thank you Fat Boy Pantry <3 and the staff is amazing 😊
The staff were very kind and the food was great, had the Havana sandwich which was great, but their fries were on another level. Think of five guy fries thickness but perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while fluffy on the inside. The Havana was stuffed full of meat and was nice and hot, and will definitely come back the next time I'm in New Orleans.
Not too bad of an egg/bacon sandwich - unfortunately took forever to get.
This little place had super amazing original icecream we tried like 4 different flavors and even got the espresso shake the staff recommended delicious.
It was awesome! I have the taste in my mind, I can wait to come again. Xoxo from Mexico.
Treated a friend to their handmade ice cream because of all the pictures I saw on Instagram. It was delicious! I got the iced coffee which was pretty good. We took a take out menu and plan on returning for some of the interesting sandwiches they have plus hand cut french fries!!
Well let me tellya' cher! Dat lobster poboy is sumpin to die for! Great food...culinary genius! Go get one and eat sumpin delicious!
I committed murder at this place....Food was sooooo good and took me back to my East coast roots! I tried the Philly steak, fries and an affagato. Steak was seasoned perfectly and quality whiz. Fries were hand cut, double cooked, salted well, and crispy. The affagato... slap ya nonna... I got the espresso Gelato with an espresso shot....YES YES YES. Service was amazing and staff were really knowledgeable and helped me make great choices. I would have a picture but who wants to see a chalk sketch🤷🏾♀️🤣
Friendly staff! Meatball sandwich was good and so was the coffee!
Great sandwiches and fries. Pretty good house made ice cream, too. Pic shows lamb sandwich.
The guy working the grill knocked my sandwich out the park. Great sauce, good portion of meat. Fries are really good. One guy was there to get my coffee which seemed kind of unfair to the other guy. After he got my coffee, he just went back to watching the game and the place is kind of small so he's just right there and the other guy really hustled. Guess i was the only one in there though.
Been coming here for years, food is amazing. Try the homemade FRESH icecream sandwich when you visit, you will not be disappointed!!
They were out of most things on the menu and I got an Oat milk Latte that I don't know I was ordering (Wanted whole milk, wanted a mocha.) If I was out of key supplies I would go the store instead of having a dead menu. Fries and Ice Cream were good at least but communication was poor.
Awesome fries! Really crispy. Amazing lobster po’boy! Milkshake was ok.
The burgers are great. My kids loved them. The sloppy joe was awesome. The homemade ice cream is delicious and the fresh squeezed juice was refreshing. All the guys there are real friendly and helpful.
This food was so good. I got pantry burger with bacon and egg on top and fresh squeezed. I never review places but I felt compelled this place was so bomb. quite expensive only reason 4 stars.
The place you didn't know you had to visit while in New Orleans. Breakfast sandwiches are some of the best in town!
So dang good. Very friendly staff, amazing cream cheese ice cream, and the best lobster po boy in New Orleans!!! From scratch fries too! Definitely a stop if you are in the garden district.
First time visiting. Really good sandwiches, cashier recommended the wild boar sloppy joe and it was seriously flavorful.
went here for a quick bite and ended up being blown away!!! definitely come with an empty stomach. everything was so fresh and flavorful, the homemade ice cream hit the spot after! would go back to NOLA just for this place.
One of my favorite spots! Lobster Poboy is a must
Fantastic, handmade food at a really good price. Each sandwich is wrapped in a bag and has some of the best thick-cut fries I've ever had, and the ice cream is great (and handmade!) too. The dining setting is as unique as it is distinct, with clean tables and a friendly staff.
Since the food is made per order, there's a bit of a wait, but you can watch the food be prepped if you want to and it's never been inconvenient or "too long" for the food presented. I can't recommend it enough, for both locals and tourists alike!
The lobster poboy was one of the best I had in NOLA
Place is out of the tourist area but highly recommended. The lobster po boy was excellent. Lobster was fresh and butter melted in your mouth. You can't get food this good in the French district. Take a walk and eat a real sandwich.
The food is great....just really, really good sandwiches you can't get anywhere else. Fried lobster tail po-boy. Really. Greek sandwiches with lamb and feta, awesome breakfast sandwiches. Philly cheese steaks that are seriously real South Philly. Also, an espresso selection, unique smoothies, a great ice cream selection, even craft beers. All they lack is a notary public service or a watch repair kiosk. We love this place!
After some disappointing French Quarter food (had to do the tourist thing), we needed some good food. Excellent sandwiches and awesome fries. Definitely check this place out!
Awesome little neighborhood coffee & sandwich shop. A steady stream of locals and regulars stopped by while we were there, very friendly. Everyone in our group loved their flavorful food and was amazed by the variety if offerings and very fair prices. We started with espresso & latte & sodas & beers then ordered the gyro, philly cheese steak, cubano, good old hamburger & a deep fried New England Lobster sandwich, all were quickly made, fresh and delicious. Oh yes, I should mention everything comes with a generous mound of crispy, delicious hand cut fries. If you have room for desert, which a few of us couldn't resist trying, the ice creams are made on site and they are creamy, flavorful & delicious! Please go for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you'll be going back soon too.
Great sandwiches but I don’t know how we ended up with a $50 tab for three sandwiches at lunch time. Odd vibe, a little rough around the edges but rustic well stocked sandwiches (maybe that’s why it was expensive).
My first time here I had the green smoothie with a splash of gin. That was AWESOME!
I'm giving them 5-stars for the atmosphere and the staff. Great conversation with the staff.
I'll be back and definitely referring everyone I know.
This delightful neighborhood spot with outdoor seating has delicious food options. My 10 year-old and I enjoyed a lunch stop here while biking to the Audubon Zoo.
This is Definitely my new go to spot for icecream. I got the Oreo cookie and cream and my son got the King Cake....both were so amazing. The service is also great. I called ahead to see what flavors they had and they let me know they would be bringing more flavors out in an hour or so. When I got there the flavors weren't ready yet but the employee/manager went to the back to scoop so for us anyway. Also they were out of cones so my son got an extra scoop for free. I can't wait to go back!
Best Lobster Po Boy EVER!!!! Incredible fries too.🦞🍟
The food is fantastic and the ice cream is hand made. My friends and I walked into this place on a lark and couldn't have been happier. The owner was friendly and allowed to try multiple ice cream flavors at no charge. I recommend the peanut flavor. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to get good food away from the main drag of the city.
Amazing ice cream , interesting flavors . I enjoy the fresh pressed juice, but the second time I ordered the yam tactic it was disgusting . Taste really strange and not like I have tried it before. 😕 …
I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich which was very good. The hashbrowns are amazing as well. My son tried the homemade oreo and chocolate chip ice cookie ice cream and he said it was the best!
Jaw droppingly good. Lamb belly Greek sandwich is phenomenal and my peppermint malt shake could win a prize any day of the week.
This unique sandwich shop is a must-go for people traveling around NOLA. They have freshly squeezed juices, a variety of hand-scooped ice cream, really good coffee, bottled/canned beer, and solid sandwiches that come with thick French fries. The staff was friendly and quick. They surely don't spare anything on the portion sizes.
I got their special: wild boar Sloppy Joe with pickled onions and an espresso BBQ sauce. I also got a hot coffee that wasn't too acidic or bitter.
Awesome little place just off some of the really busy area. Menu looks awesome, especially for a quick lunch and the ice cream choices are fantastic. Prices are pretty low to fair. Staff is super helpful and accommodating. I think they are newer, but once they get into a groove, it'll be even better!
The food was great. It's a super casual spot with cool tables outside. The Philly was incredible and the owner was very very nice! Will be back
I didn't know what to expect, but the food is beyond excellent. Very well worth the price. Great atmosphere and style, however my only complaint is that the logs they use as chairs (also pretty cool) are a few inches too short of the average relationship between a table and chair. But I guess it gets you closer to the food. I'm looking forward to going back to the Fat Boy Pantry soon.
This place is a gem! Its small and a little off the beaten path but the quality here it top notched. My group was greeted when we walked through the door and we had all ordered within minutes. The double cheeseburger with thick slab bacon and a fried egg added was one of the best things I ate while I was in new Orleans and will definitely be back nest time I'm in town.
Too greasy and frys were burned...
One of the most amazing places we've been to in NOLA! We are from Oklahoma and here on a wedding trip. The owner was there helping the staff and they all gave us places to visit. The food and service was superb! Definitely a place to stop in and enjoy the atmosphere.
Food is delicious. Out of the way enough there isn’t a line (though there should be). A must visit after going to the WW2 museum.
Legit, the best food I had in New Orleans. Shout out to Danny and Joe.
the fried shrimp and lobster poboy at fatboy is by far the best poboy i have ever had. the sauce is nothing to scoff at, but the fried shrimp and lobster make the sandwich. so juicy, tender, and well prepared. if you are in the new orleans area, u have to try this place.
I like the vibe and the fries were fantastic, but the burger was nothing special (for $10) and service was so show. Granted, there were about a dozen people in my group, but it took almost an hour for all of us to get our orders. They were way understaffed for lunchtime on a Saturday.
Hands down the best ice cream in the city and amazing food as well. Very creative and yummy flavors of ice cream made from scratch and all natural ingredients. I lived the coconut and the maple walnut. Frankenstein was also interesting. Hi eat coffee and sandwiches as well. Clean and hip atmosphere. Hit it up!
OMG... Lobster PoBoy. I'll pay market price for this any day. Even the Philly poBoy was good. But again, did I mention the lobster. The delicate lobster is fried and placed on heavenly bread where it is coated with what I assume to be secret sauce from the secret sauce society rated 10/10 first place champions 10 years in a row. This sauce I'd eat on it's own. Then it's all wrapped together, I'm sure it's some wrapping technique only employed by the sandwich gods, then cut in half and then handed to you in a conspicuous paper bag. I recommend eating this with a beer or cider and just enjoying all of it.
Been living in this area for 4+ years. They have the best cheeseburger and meatball sandwich. I need to get their steak & cheese too. MOST IMPORTANTLY, FAT Boy beats the price for anywhere else on magazine st - ESP with this quality of food. GREAT QUALITY.
The one place we returned to over and over on our trip to NOLA. The peanut butter and eggnog ice creams were both amazing!
This place is awesome. The food is creative and unique, I had the wild boar sandwich and a green smoothie. True Paleo!
Service was good, it's popular and they had two guys doing everything, worth the wait.
We have a lot of restaurants on our list for our time in New Orleans, and we will probably have to knock some off and go back here instead. We had the wild boar sloppy joe and the lobster po boy. Both were incredible, but the po boy was one of the best things I've ever eaten. It not only competes with, but destroys all but one of the many lobster rolls we had in Maine. And it's at least on par with that one(My wife says she prefers this one).
The fresh juice and the ice cream were awesome as well. We also got an apple carrot cake muffin to go which we just sampled. Unsurprisingly, that's excellent too.
I see some reviews about service. These guys are super chill, so I see how they could come off as uncaring. They're not though. They're passionate about food, and really friendly once engaged in conversation. This is not a place where someone in a tidy uniform is going to repeat the same spiel to every customer. I prefer it this way, it's like seeing some buddies who make some mean grub.
Best PO boy I've ever had in my life! The bread and sauce are delicious, if I'm ever back in town I'm going here first.
Fantastic. Easily one of the best two philly cheese steaks I’ve had in my life with the other one being in Philadelphia. She got the cheese steak three consecutive days when we were recently at an airbnb in the garden district luckily around the corner from this place. On the third day I tried the gyro (also great) just to change it up. Nicest guys as well. Great dudes, great sandwich shop. Just go.
This is a must eat. Fabulous. Had a burger and a lobster roll. Both were amazing, and the staff was super cool.
I just love the vibe of this place. Really fortunate that it was a short walk from my Airbnb.
I loved the fried lobster po boy and fries, I've had it twice! It was just my bad luck that they've been out of ice cream this time.
They also serve breakfast, coffee, juices and ice cream. They also have a good selection of beer.
PS: Also, go to CBD (Central Business District), which is also a chill place that has food and drinks. I'll write a separate review for that one.
Great unique flavors. Personal friendly service.
Super friendly staff and really great lobster poboy. Also ordered liver 9-1-1 juice, definitely coming back. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot without the long lines and excellent food- check this place out.
The juices are made fresh and taste delicious! Sandwiches are also very good here too. Definitely recommend!
This was my last stop in Nola and its true, i saved the best for last . The lobster po boy was incredible, and Bri and Dan behind the bar were so kind. Great conversation and excellent food. I cant wait for them to open a shop in Chicago!
The ice cream here is wonderful. We had a basil sherbet and lemon cookie ice cream, so refreshing and delicious on a hot day. They also have a beautiful slayer espresso machine that makes a delicious cubano. Can't wait to come back for an affogato.
Staff and out of their way to be helpful when they definitely didn’t have to. Great Guys Great Service!
Super yummy ice cream! Met the owner and he gave us wonderful tips for other spots to eat and drink in NOLA. Didn't eat anything other than dessert but it's some of the best ice cream we've had on our travels.
As much as I love this place, it’s like they are TRYING to go out of business. The philly is the best in the city and the fries are excellent. On the downside they close unexpectedly like 530pm on a Friday (you know...dinner time) the Philly recently changed from being an oversized hearty sandwich on delicious bread, to a philly that resembles the size of a hotdog and the same goes for the bread.
Two words....Lobster Po'boy! Hidden little gem. We decided to check this place out after being invited in walking to the WWII museum. Grabbed a couple sandwiches and started talking with the owner Dan - super friendly guy. Makes an outstanding Lobster Po'Boy with Lobster only from Maine - worth the $15 in my opinion. Also makes his own ice cream which we got to try a few samples at no cost. Amazing pistachio and I don't even like pistachio ice cream. Check them out - I doubt you'll be disappointed!
I'm visiting New Orleans all the way from Ohio. Stoped here and ordered the eye opener ans it was the best coffee I've ever had. It was so good that I finished my coffee before my mile wall to the Convention Center. If I'm ever back in this city again I'll definitly get my coffee here.
Absolutely wonderful customer service.
Google said they were open late. I called and the gentleman was almost finished up closing, and said they were closed but he could sell me some ice cream. He did. It was great. Made my night.
The Pantry Cheeseburger left cheese in my moustache and between my fingers, that's what a cheeseburger should do. Definitely add bacon 'cause it's cut super thick. My wife got a cuban sandwich and it must have been great because she only offered me a very small bite after she was too ful to finish. Great music was on but a little loud and the layout was a little confusing but I'd still rate it 5 stars.
New to the hood. Great burger, made while I waited. Be sure and be hungry! Fries were also wonderful. Will be back, especially for ice cream.
Cozy little spot. Was in walking distance of this place & decided to try the lobster poboy most raved about in the reviews. Well now I'm one of them lol. The menu listed poboys as $10. Ironically on all of them their was a hole in the menu next to the cost of the lobster poboy. Got to the register & found out Why! A whopping $20 ! Anywho it was really good. I was actually impressed and Im a foodie.
Great sandwich & fries. Couldn't eat the whole thing. Had to try ice cream & it was delish. The cute little ice cream spoons change color when cold. Love it!
I stumbled by this place by chance looking for where I had parked my car. The people were very friendly. Their ice cream was wonderful, lots of good flavors that were unique, such as a cinnamon peanut flavor.
Delicious, decedent sandwiches and boutique full-fat ice cream. The fried potato slices are addictive. Highly recommend! It's worth finding this place.
Okay.. This place.. is JAWSOME. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast food and I got the Benedict Eggwich and I was just so awestruck at the amount of food served here. The side of potatoes where obliterated in a few minutes. The sandwich was just perfection. I am gonna eat here once a dayfor the entirety of my vacation to try other options.
Five words: lobster tail remoulade po' boy. It's the best thing I've ever put in my mouth, even cold leftovers (because that one sandwich was definitely two meals). It's the most expensive po' boy but soooooo worth it. I would go back to New Orleans just for that sandwich. Plus, the staff were fun and personable, and the place itself has its own charming vibe.
A wonderful find
Great service, delicious food that is all cooked to order
And a great atmosphere
Very clean
The king cake shake was to die for
Just found this place while walking and decided to pop in. The service here is exemplary, and the ice cream is incredible. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for some really nice snacks.
The ice cream is killer. The Havana sandwich too is amazing. I come here often with my old dog and the owner always has treats to give him.
Highly recommend the Fried Lobster Po-Boy and the Wild Boar Sloppy Joe. The fries are excellent as well. Save room for dessert because the hand made ice cream is great.
If you are trying to enjoy Fat boy pantry on Tuesday or Thursday and you are using Apple’s Map or fat boy pantry’s website for business hours those sites are currently incorrect. The hours may change but as of right now google has the business hours correct.
Had the lobster po-boy, while it was pricey it was well worth the price with the quality ingredients they used! Best po-boy i had in New Orleans!
The food is amazing, the coffee is on point and Rodney loved his hot chocolate. I have a love affair with a bacon and that is some of the best bacon I have ever had. Bacon make everything better 💜 …
Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, great selection of drinks and some relaxed seating out on Magazine Street. What more could you ask for?
This place has some amazing po'boys and is one of my go-to places if I feel like not eating too healthy, but need something delicious and quick. Their lobster po'boy is absolutely stunning.
The Havana is amazing and the fries are great too. Prices are very good compared to the quality of the food. I will definitely be coming back!
We are from Cali and a friend of mine that lives locally brought us here. We had the fried lobster po boy and it was frickin amazing. Highly recommend
Best French fries I have ever had! They blanch the fries so it's crispy outside and soft inside. Best of both worlds. Love this place!
Sooooo good! A must when you're in New Orleans! We've had brekafast, lunch, hot chocolate, & ice cream!! This spot does not disappoint!! We will be back again!!
The food was really good. I got the lobster poboy and was blindsided when I paid. It was $25 for the sandwich alone!
I think i sat on a piece of furniture that wasnt for sitting. Sorry. Big servings. Careful opening up your sandwich.
Loved it! Went for ice cream one day....amazing flavors. Went for coffee and breakfast the next day - delicious! Great service, very friendly.
I suggest the gyro. Also, the hand cut fries are a nice touch. A filling, delicious meal at a good price. Plus the ice cream is great.
Favorite sandwich shop in NOLA - definitely get the fries any Style. Dog treats available for your pup!
spent a few days in New Orleans right across the street from Fat Boy Pantry. OMFG - the fried lobster po boy is AMAZING and so arent the fresh juices. The owner is a down to earth hard working guy who you can tell is passionate about what he does. Highly recommend Fat Boy Pantry
The fried lobster Poboy was good but not worth $30.
Liked the king's cake ice cream.

Bonus: interesting and delicious ice cream
Benedict eggwich, DELICIOUS. The guys working are way cool!!
I got the sloppy joe because the guy at the counter recommended it. It was decent, but wasn't anything extraordinary. Way too expensive for what it is.
Soo good I had the Philly super yummy kinda tasted like a delicious late night burger. Will definitely return.
We loved everything we had Delicious food and coffee. Great customer service as well.
If you're looking for an amazing cheeseburger that looks like it was thrown against the wall before being brought out to you, then you have found your spot. In all seriousness, this place is the best.
Best Cubano sandwich I've ever had. The fries are fantastic too.
The fries! The Havana!! Danny, Joe, and Bri!!! 10/10!!!! We're going to come back every time we're in NOLA!!!!!
The menu is very creative as is the staff. Food was done quickly. I would have preferred my bacon more crisp butI probably should have mentioned that
Amazing milkshakes! Super friendly staff. I'm regretting waiting so long to try this place.
Yummy yummy yummy! Totally worth the calories. Had the Havanna... make sure you add avocado. So good.
Love the philly cheese steak but always taste salty. Would it be the cheese wiz?
Great sandwiches - recommend the Havana. Nice service, will definitely come again!
Awesome breakfast sandwiches, huge and great taste with home made chips. Definitely a good place to grab a latte and breakfast!
This place has a good selection of sandwiches and some truly amazing ice cream. Flavors can be interesting, but give them a try!
Great coffee and good food. Staff is really nice minus the guy that works in the evening. The asian fellow was very rude.
Gyro was delicious the first time I had it, the second time I had it, it was over salted
Great ice cream, super nice staff. Will be going back to try the sandwiches!

Awesome place! Clean, friendly, and delicious food. Will definitely be back to try more of their options. Highly recommend!
Absolutely obsessed with the lobster po-boy. Worth the price and the calories. Side effect: might slap ya mama
The lemon cookie and the king cake ice cream flavors are heavenly
Ice cream has unique and interesting flavors and the gentlemen who work there understand good flavors and how to combine them.
We really enjoyed their ice cream. Nice price and flavors. :)
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Workers and owner were super cool
Descent to good food for a quick bite, don't understand why they put fries and sandwich in same paper wrap, its a fair price for the area
It unlocked a childhood memory. The fried lobster Po-boy is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended.
