I heard from a lot of people that Grand Cafe is in their top five so I figured I'd see for myself. I've only been there once but everything was so good. We sampled around 8 things from the menu and each was better than the last. In my opinion the entrees were the best part. Our server Evie was super friendly along with the rest of the wait staff. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

The Grand Cafe used to be our go-to place before it changed ownership. When Jamie Malone came onboard, we decided to hold off until a special occasion given the price increases. It's definitely special-occasion worthy. As a designer, I consider it one of the best restaurant interiors in Minneapolis. The food lives up to the elegant, laid-back, and perfectly-executed vibe. We got the carrots in carrot butter, which is like some weird form of vegetable heaven; I don't have words, just try them. My husband got the fish and I got the chicken. Both were incredible - perfectly balanced, cooked, and presented. On top of it all, the service was impeccable. I can't wait for the next occasion to go back.
Carolina Margaria
The quality was great and everything was well cooked but I wish the menu had a little more variety and the prices were a bit high. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was romantic but laid back. The steak tartare was phenomenal but I'd stay away from the sweetbreads. The omelet was great but $30 for just an omelette and toast is ridiculous. The chicken was well cooked but bland.

Beautiful atmosphere and eager staff, the plants and rustic chic really work well for this place. Although I'd like to describe this place as romantic, it appears that the dimmer and more "sexy" seating is reserved to an area for larger parties, 4 plus. Food was well constructed, seasoned to taste and was fresh. Overall, good experience.

Brunch. Grand Cafe is such a pleasant space to eat great food. The French omelet and eggs Benedict were perfect and so delicious. The chicken liver doughnuts were a nice blend of savory and sweet. Professional service. Tasty mimosas. I can’t wait to go back.
Lindsey Lee
We went here for a special dinner and it was amazing. The food was incredible and the staff did such a great job with the Covid guidelines and still made it a really relaxing meal. I can't wait to go back and experience their food again.

This is a very upscale, French Bistro. It really has high quality Cuisine and you get what you pay for! That means higher prices but much, much higher quality than what you are probably used to when dining out. The eggs benedict was phenomenal at today's brunch and I'm looking forward to returning to this lovely, relaxing restaurant for a fine dinner someday, soon.

Great service and great food. Staff is attentative and knowledgable. The food pushes the envelope just a tad on what most would be comfortable with, which is a good thing. You find yourself being adventurous, trying things you normally wouldnt.
Jasmine Ortiz
Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is nice and the food is delightful. My son found some good reviews and I almost turned around to try some other restaurant but I’m so glad I walked it. Best brunch I’ve had in a long time.
Nate
What an amazing experience! Great food, attention to detail, kind and welcoming staff were just some of the reasons we will come back time and time again. Thank you Jamie and staff for making this experience truly special!

Dope. We are lots. I’d suggest the poached shellfish and the côtes de boeuf for two (but definitely serves four). Everything was good though. Service is outstanding.
Micalie Kempfert
Beautiful aesthetic, delicious food, and really great service! The perfect brunch spot.
Rachel Herr
What a wonderful experience! Every bite was exceptional and the service was the perfect level of care and attention without being overwhelming. My only criticism is that I think it’s a bit expensive for what you get. Other then that, I would highly recommend going on your birthday for one of the most beautiful free desserts I’ve ever seen!

The re-brand has turned Grand Cafe into one of THE BEST RESTAURANTS in town, no questions. Inventive french dishes that play on flavor and texture. We had several dishes that blew us away and gave us something we had never tried before.

Sweet Somethin' Almighty. French French French!
OK, Brunch, just Sunday brunch, when one would be accustomed to Bloody Marys and loosely specialized riffs on the blending of breakfast and lunch foods... there is a beacon. That beacon is the Grand Cafe, nothing is left behind after this dining experience... Especially plates with remaining food.
.
Pescaphiles rejoice, mussels, the best oysters ever, there is no prudish sentiment on the palate here, it is in full 4 wheel super overdrive, yet it doesn't overwhelm, the French based menu finds its strengths in the complex dishes flowing with those for the not so adventurous types they may be dining with.
By hitting the silent undertones and complimentary notes with enough vigor to fill out the melody in full without sacrificing any of the full symphonic splendor of all of the 5 senses.
I will definately return for the full menu dining experience and again for brunch.
Do this for yourself, do this for those you love, just do this, you'll not be the following the same,or be the same following.

A three hour meal here flew by in the blink of an eye! Every bite was delicious, especially the chicken entree dish that makes chicken fun again! Chef Malone is a maestro (I also loved her work at Sea Change). And the space is adorable. Don’t be surprised if this place soon changes its name to 100 Grand Cafe - har har.
Amy Dray
This space is a hidden gem. Mouthwatering dishes, eye pleasing decor, all with a small business vibe that makes one happy to support small.
Jose Luis Cabrera
This place was great! I ordered the poached eggs they were really good. The mimosas were really good, one of the best mimosas I ever had. The banana and chocolate bread was fresh and warm. I didn’t rate this place a 5 because I felt like the waitress was rushing us. She was really nice, but constantly asked if we wanted our meals to be boxed although we were still eating.
Lyndsey Fraser
Great atmosphere! Went there for a dessert and after dinner drink. They quickly found us a spot at the bar. Highly recommend!

Finally got to the Grand Cafe after the change. This was our favorite brunch spot and wondered if the hype after the retooling was real. And we were excited to find that it was. The ambiance is lighter, brighter, and a little more refined. The service was excellent. The wine list was small, but perfectly curated. Beer was also available, but no cocktails. The starters and small plates to share were hard to choose from, but the most popular ones proved to be stellar. The short list of entrees provided a good range of options for any group of people. As we heard from other reviews, we had to have dessert... and loved every bite. A wonderful evening all around.

This is absolutely my not so "new" favorite restaurant in, not just the Twin Cities Metro metro area, but in many places I've wandered to throughout my life. Consistently outstanding service and the food is always as good as the service. I have yet to order for myself, no matter who the server is, I leave it up to them to order for me. Never disappointed, always delighted! I make sure I have a reservation for the next time before I leave. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy this wonderful addition to the world of culinary surprises. We are Lucky to have this as a choice here in flyover land. Midwest meets France in the excellency of delicious food, and service. This is a destination restaurant. 10 stars from this local lady who calls the world her home.

Amazing restaurant, delicious food. We came here for friends birthday and they made is extra special. Loved the wine, loved the food. The service was beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend coming here. The decor indoors doesn't match the outdoors so don't judge the restaurant right away until you're done with your meals.
Paola OC
Great food! Great space! And very good service. Perfect spot for a date or going out with your girlfriends.
Anne Christians
We went to celebrate our engagement and were treated to oysters with creme fraiche on the house. Every single thing we ordered was excellent an impressive. The flavors were simple, clean, and well-executed. The wine selection is very good and it's fun to try things off the bottle menu that other tables have opened. I can't wait to go back.
Chloe Johnson
Took my mom here for her birthday dinner. Service was amazing, staff was amazing, and the food was to die for! I recommend asking your waiter to pick a wine to go with your meal. They get so excited that you're trusting them, and what my waiter paired with my meal was amazing. I can't wait to go again!
Cassandra Trappen
Loved brunch at this super cute restaurant! The ambiance is great. The entrees were quite rich so I would recommend splitting a few plates with your party- in particular the egg cocette, cheeseburger and dumplings. Also the pancakes were probably the best I've ever had, so fluffy and tasty. I will be back!
David H. Parish
Interesting and eclectic menu, very comfortable setting and good service. Also, nicely priced. The steak tartare was excellent, as was the spinach salad with a luxurious brown butter dressing and fried sunchokes. Found it a little limiting that 2 of the smallish selection of entrees were egg dishes. Odd that brown butter was used in 3 of the dishes we ordered. As much as I love brown butter, it got a little redundant. Also 2 sweet corn sides - one in the form of a Madeleine and the other as souffle, with very similar flavor profiles and both too sweet for my taste. There was a turbo special, which we did not try, with three different preparations of cabbage, which seemed more like a fixation on a single ingredient than a compelling dinner option. Would return, but not necessarily seek it out. In all, a nice meal but a bit disappointed given the acclaim.

We like to go to the best restaurants in town for special occasions and this was our first time at Grand Cafe. We had amazing seating, the food was great. Our waiter was nice but it seemed like she was more interested in upselling us on crab omelette than actually making sure we have a great dining experience. In two hours we spent there, our coffee got refilled once and it was because we had to call another waiter over and ask for it. Then we waited a really long time for the error on the check to be fixed and our food also took a long time to come out. I'm sure it was because they were so busy but going to a lot of nice places, we think the service could be better. Also we had a birthday at the table and they didn't do anything special for it... usually places like these give you something small to celebrate. Still an enjoyable experience and we would recommend this place to others for the food quality.
Aaron Kessler
I absolutely adore this place for brunch! We got the "Nook" booth last Sunday and it was the perfect place for a larger group of friends. The Avocado Toast, Cocotte and coffee is all amazing! I recommend a reservation as it's a busy place and only open for Brunch on Sunday's. Dinner is fabulous too, but brunch is my favorite here.
Tilda “Tipsy” Meringue
I absolutely adore this restaurant. Everything is so well composed, from the dishes to the service. I could never say enough good things about my experiences here.
Their system of following covid guidelines is easy to follow and non-intrusive to the ambiance, nor does it hinder the meal.

This place is nominated for best new restaurant award so i decided to check it out with my friends. Will start from positive factors: food is fresh and delicious, service is professional and fast, ambiance is nice. Negative factor: i still smell like food, it was even slightly smoky inside. Kitchen was literally in a dining area which normally is mot a problem for most of the places but here the ventilation perhaps was not the best. I had a cup that was not washed that well and i assume that is not what you expect from this place. I rate it 3.5 out of 5

We’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Grand Cafe on a number of occasions. Always wonderful - both food and service. Last night was particularly fun, what with ordering a good chunk of the menu. Last course - the cheeseburger. Because, why not? Grand Cafe does things you’ll not find anywhere else in the city (Bocuse soup..are you kidding me?) A privilege to have this restaurant in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious and the service spectacular. Dress code was casual to business casual but the wait staff made it feel like a high end dining experience. Low lit candle light ambiance. Tables were close together but noise level was low. We ordered the snack attack special and there wasn't a single item we disliked. The oysters were from MA and they were some of the best I've ever had. Their raw scallop appetizer dish was amazing! We order the pot de crème for dessert and it had a layer of jellied espresso on chocolate mousse; fantastic! They have several selections of french Normandy cider as well. It took me right back to France :-) We were celebrating a birthday on our visit and they went above and beyond with a house made vermouth aperatif while we looked over the menues, a cupcake sized mini cake and candle for dessert, and a coupon for a free beverage on our next visit. The portion sizes were small for the price but we did not leave hungry.

I purchased the valentine's dinner kit as a surprise for my wife. The food was amazing, and the directions to prepare everything were very clear and fairly simple. We will definitely be doing this again sometime!

I am an absolute foodie, adventurous eater and avid cook. This place served me one of the best meals of my life tonight. I had the grilled mussels which came with fresh bread and butter. The staff was immensely helpful and knowledgeable from the server who took my coat to the gorgeous Dominican bartender that knew everything about the food and drinks. I will honestly be submitting this place to the Michelin guide for a hopeful star. Bravo!

Grand Cafe is one of my very favorite restaurants. It is charming, small and cozy. This is the place to go if you want delicious, seasonal food perfectly prepared, and great service. On my last visit, I was catching up with an old friend whom I had not seen in years, and the wait staff were perfectly patient while we spent more time chatting than looking at the menu, and never gave any indication that we had overstayed our welcome, although we were there for several hours.
This is not fast food! And while the menu is small, and entrees may be unfamiliar to you or your guests, don't fret! In 4 years, I've never ever had less than a wonderful meal, even when I wasn't enthusiastic about the particular menu choices that day. Always turns out mouthwateringly fantastic. Save room for dessert - I just had a basil berry sorbet which was divine.
Clayton Haapala
Very nice meal, especially the chilled shellfish appetizer. Waitress gave great wine suggestions. Entrees could have been more interesting. Ambiance was loud, and there was a good crowd there for a Tuesday evening.
Kathryn Stoffregen McTigue
I love everything about this place! The food is delicious, the decor is perfect, the people are lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. We went on a whim for my birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel special - even while there were other birthday celebrations happening on both sides of us.

I went to Grand Cafe for the first time for brunch this past weekend. I am honestly sad to be writing a review that isn't 100% positive because this was my expectation based on what I have heard and read about Grand Cafe. Let me start by saying that, overall, the service was great. Super helpful, friendly, and kind. The biggest reason for my 3 star rating is that my ham and egg cocotte was served to me cold/barely warm. We waited longer than I anticipated we would for the food to be served, and having cold food placed in front of me was shocking. They fixed the situation immediately and I was happy with the resolution. I look forward trying the dinner menu here in the near future, and I anticipate finding that my first encounter is not representative of Grand Cafe.
Rory Morse
Delicious food and we had a really friendly and knowledgeable server! One of our party had a dairy allergy, and even though it's a French restaurant, the chef was extremely accommodating. Would definitely recommend trying this place out!
Maggie Sotos
Holy cow this was the best place ever. Good seating, good food, good atmosphere, GREAT service! We went here for a pre-wedding family brunch and our server brought out champagne for the brides (so sweet!) and he also went across the street to the candy store Sugar, Sugar and brought us back congratulatory sweets! Such a thoughtful local business, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Doug Huemoeller
Absolutely amazing dinner. Attended the Thursday night Chicken dinner. 3 fantastic courses. Best chicken I have ever had. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to create a great experience. Thanks!!!!

If you are looking for a special place to eat a special meal, and you love creative, French food and amazing wines and beers, look no further. Some of the highlights of our meals were: a hard cider from Normandy, France, sweet corn Madelines with a brown butter topping, A perfectly crafted omelette with king crab filling, and something they called potato salad, which really should be renamed as "the most delicious mashed potatoes you've ever had in your life". They also really know how to make a special occasion special. We have been for both our wedding anniversary and a big milestone birthday, and both times had lovely little surprises thrown in to our amazing, delicious, creative, delightful meals. It's definitely our favorite restaurant these days!
Marcus Brandt
We had an amazing brunch. Perfect soft French omelette and a super savory lobster cognac spaghetti with bacon lardons. My wife and I loved the service and the service ware, easy 5 stars.
Taylor Bauer
We came here for my boyfriend's birthday and the staff couldn't have made our night more special. We were greeted with drinks at the bar and everyone was so kind. He also got a little cake with a candle at the end of our meal. We will be coming again for sure!
Rob Goggins
I'm not a foodie, but this place was pretty darn good. Service was outstanding, food was great and the ambiance was just right. The lobster-filled omelette could be my one and only meal for life...that good. Cons: a bit pricey, the tables are fairly close together (not a big fan of that urban seating style) and they need to invest in a new A/C unit - it was 80 degrees outside and it felt 80 degrees inside too.
Anthony Bosca
One of the better meals of my life, after many years of cooking and dining out in the Cities and around the world. Grand Café's food is not simple to make - it's meticulous and there is a LOT of work on every plate. But it simple to enjoy. The craftsmanship serves the cause of making great ingredients taste purely and intensely of themselves. A cold poached shrimp was vibrant, perfectly seasoned and shrimpy. Roast chicken had a bit of herby stuffing under crispy skin and a touch of sauce that tasted cleanly and deeply of chicken. Carrots in carrot butter are nothing more or less than some of the best carrots you'll ever have.
The restaurant is very pretty. It feels comfortable and special without being formal; lovely light from the font windows, crisp white linen and funky mismatched plates. Service is expert and easy-going. Prices are not cheap, but they are very reasonable for what you get. Considering the quality, it's a bargain. The menu is flexible. It's easy to grab a quick bite or build a four-course meal. Go, and don't wait for a special occasion. If you know and love good restaurants, this is the neighborhood joint of your dreams.
Brandon Doan
Amazing food, service, and patio. My wife and I shared the $50 Snack Attack and it was delicious. It was a perfect sampling of things from the menu and left us with just enough room for dessert for which we had the Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta which was also delightful. I would strongly recommend this restuarant to anyone looking to have an exquisite meal in a charming location.
Tom Butala
Excellent, excellent food and atmosphere. They serve the best toast I have ever had. They lose a mark for projecting cartoons and old shows on the wall during brunch. It's cute, but very distracting; especially when combined with the loud music that was playing.
Tom W.
Third time eating here over the past year and a half. Previously I left two 5-star reviews and was very impressed by this small local restaurant. Things have changed dramatically since our last visit about 6 months ago. Staff told us there is a new chef in town, and also new management/ownership. It shows. The food is still good, but the portions are substantially smaller and the prices have gone up considerably. $40 for an omelette main course made with special Japanese eggs. $9 for six small rolls of beef tallow/fat that would literally fit on a single tablespoon. $7 for flambes you can eat in a single bite. The menu (this time) was downright kookie, as if the chef was trying to make a point about avante garde he/she is. All the wines by glass are from France (one from Italy). None from California or Argentina. The waitstaff are trained to spend much time explaining how unusual what you are about to eat is (thereby potentially deflecting thoughts about the price of the plate in question). But for 3 refills of bread we would have left hungry after spending $100 (including tip; total of 2 beers for both of us, and no main course - just small plates). Service and ambiance are excellent. Nevertheless, we'll have to find a new favorite restaurant. As my departed best friend Craig used to say, "They have gone bad."
Tyler Kleinow
Grand Cafe is perfect in every way. I have been dining here since the pre-Jamie era, and it has never been anything but awesome, especially under Jamie’s watch. The entire place is pure magic. Most recently, I was able get the curbside take out during quarantine, and everything about it was executed safely, cleanly and efficiently. It was also delicious AF. If you’ve been to grand cafe before and haven’t had the quarantine situation, DO IT! If you have never been to grand, now is the time to see how exquisite their experience can be, even if it’s in your own home. That being said, go there when we’re on the other side of this thing.

Prompt, well informed service. Great wine list, the rose by the glass was phenomenal. Whoever sat us (seemed like a manager of some sort) had pretty extensive wine knowledge and was so helpful when we were picking out a bottle. We ordered a few apps, shared a salad and the entrees (duck egg dumplings and lamb, morels, fava beans with a ramp hollendaise) composed one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Yum.
The ambiance made everything that much better and I'm already dreaming of going back!

The food was fantastic. Very original. Best meal I've had in a long time. Service was wonderful. The wine list, however, was not. Get the spinach salad!
Jeffrey Wright
Cold, dark, casual cafe with lots of house plants serving ok but ultimately uninspiring food. I really wanted to like this place but it missed the mark on almost every point.
Perhaps I chose poorly from the menu (should that matter?). Perhaps because it was cold and dark inside. Perhaps it was that my main dish was pre-cooked and only partially reheated. Perhaps it was the poor execution of the pike quenelle. I don’t know. But virtually everything was disappointing.
I get what they are trying to do here, it’s just that they did not achieve it on this visit. It’s not bad, but it is nowhere near approaching great. At some point I will return, perhaps when there is some sunshine and heat.
Pejmon Nadimi
Delicious food, and good service. The Cafe is a little misleading. Its more of a slightly laid back fine dining vibe. Thoughtful and well executed dishes. Definitely a good dinner destination
Scott Mullins
I'm only half way through the meal and i know this is spectacular. The spinach salad alone is unforgettable.
So, now that we've completed our meal... this was a dinner that surprised us even though we came in with high expectations already. Every dish from the foie gras tourine to the tartare to the crab omelet to the chicken had some surprising and delightful twist to make it unique.
The grand cafe is a true gem.
Carroll Vance
We went to the Grand Cafe for our anniversary. Our appetizer was gougeres with dipping cheese. The main servoce was spinach salad with hazelnuts and potato crusted chicken rillettes. Everything was exceptional. For dessert we chose milk chocolate pot de creme which was nice but we are dark chocolate lovers. Overall service and food were five star repeat.

I normally dont post bad reviews, but I posted on their facebook wall and they deleted the post. so I wanted to share the word about the horrible service I received there today. I have NEVER been treated like this before! So my wife and I found this place by doing a search on my phone after the "Bachelor Farmer" told us we had an hour wait today for brunch. We were very hungry and when we arrived, we were quickly seated (awesome there). The menu looked amazing given the prices. My wife ordered a brunch burger (with a fried egg on it) and I ordered this egg in a bowl pastry thing. The kitchen brought out our food initially, and the egg was only partially cooked. (sunny side up, runny whites). We can understand that since it was our first time, we didnt know how they prepared their eggs. So the waiter brought her plate back to fix it. They cooked the same egg a little more and put it back on the burger. Which meant that there was still runny whites left on the burger. My wife hesitantly bit into the burger and noticed that the burger was only partially cooked and was cold pink in the middle. She was then disgusted and sent it back and did not want to eat her meal. I did not eat my meal, and at that time I told the waiter we just wanted to pay for what we had already consumed (a scone, orange juice and a tea and leave) he brought the bill and it still had my plate on it. He said since he offered to fix it for my wife that I was on the hook for my plate (even though he promptly removed it and i did not eat it). Hang on here...we are getting to the best part. So I hesitantly paid... On our way out the manager called me over (he never had the courage to come address me at the table while I was still there), by waiving a gift certificate at me. I told him the whole story and why it was not fair that I had to pay for food I did not eat. His response was "Well its good that you are never coming back, because you are not welcome here" I have never been told that by someone before so I was shocked...I have been nothing but respectable to the people there, and I will be honest that I got really upset and told the manager to F- off on my way out the door ... they mocked me on my way out by telling me loudly and obnoxiously to "have a good day". Unacceptable

Twice we've been here and we gave enjoyed delicious food and excellent service both times. I feel like I need to take the chef out for dinner, except it wouldn't be a good. Our new favorite. Thank you.
Jane Andersen
We had a dinner for 20 in their private room, and it was excellent! Food, wine, service, ambiance. A great time was had by all. If the cassoulet is on the menu: GET IT!! Mary Hunter, owner, is a consumate hostess.
Andy M.
Grand Cafe represents the best of dining in Minneapolis. Jamie Milone has started something special. The food is unforgettable; the service second to none; the atmosphere inviting and quirky. If you love divine food, without pretentious B.S. check out this chef-driven gem.
Katy Hammel
The food was FANTASTIC! Each course offered delightful options. The wine selection is really great. Well informed and friendly staff. We look forward to returning!
Cody D
Very good. Seems like a lot of the other reviewers were thrown off by cafe being in the name of the restaurant. It isn't a diner. It's a nice/somewhat upscale restaurant that makes good food & provides good service. Recommend
Rachel Kosse
Amazing food, incredible atmosphere!! The attention to detail goes far in creating an all around unbelievable experience here at Grand. I am so happy I went and cannot wait to go again.
Martin Lipschultz
This is the real deal; how do I know? The most prominent chef-restaurant owner in Minneapolis was dining with his family at the table next to us. Innovative menu, excellent food, inspired service.

Came here on my birthday and it was a blast. The staff is amazing. We had the opportunity to try some of the liquor they make. We got on amazing bottle of bubbly and it made for an amazing birthday.
Adam Rondeau
Delightful staff. The food was delicious, particularly the Ham and Egg Cocette. And, on top of that, it's a really cool place. A nice balance of hip, classy and casual.
Theadore Ledee
A sort of expensive dine in brunch experience, however astonishing culinary skills. Enjoyed my meal. I wouldn't go back again, however It's worth a try.
Edward Mann
I had the only thing on they're small menu that I could understand when I read it. Burger! it was really good But no fries? weird. when I seen this place and walked in for the first time. I expected a small town cafe in the city with a but load of comfort food. Tator Tot HotDish! roast beef mash potatoes gravy. Turkey plate, lemon pie. Malts! you know what I'm saying! not a small Fu Fu small menu. I hope they make it with that food selection but I don't see how.
Tim Whitley
Absolute heaven. Spare but lovely decor. Warm, sweet, and huggable staff. Food that is out of this world! Get yourself there right now. This meal changed my life. I offered to bear chef's children, but he hasn't taken me up on my offer...yet.
David Thompson
Organic, locally-sourced ingredients = healthy happy customers, community, farms, environment and animals. I love that this restaurant uses quality ingredients. It's a classy, warm, artsy place. Great!

Grand Cafe is so cute and classy. It reminds me when I was in Toronto. The food is delicious 😋.Twin Cities is catching up with Creativity and style. …
Gregory Schlee
Service is superb.. the meal was phenomenal. The wine pairings were very good. Highly recommend Grand Cafe.
Jeff Sorensen
Outstanding food, ambiance, and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. It's not uncommon to see the highly regarded Chef Jamie Malone on the floor assisting the servers.
Ted Anderson
Blown away by food and service. Woman tending bar was very knowledgeable about their diverse wines. La Boeuf was out of this world.
Jayson Massa
Yep. French is back. With the loss of le belle vie, what were we to do? Saint gen just doesn’t fill the void. The other options for French, like bellecour, just aren’t the authentic full on French. Jamie at grand cafe puts it out right. We are talking dishes straight from Lyon. Dishes that just scream French in an intimate setting with suburb service. Hands down one of the most outstanding new (and for a long Long time) best restaurants in mpls.
Sara Kelly
Honestly one of the best meals of my life. This is the kind of food that makes you close you eyes so you give every bite your full attention. Thanks for a great birthday!
Ivy Ivers
Had a fantastic dinner last week, i really appreciated the style and attention to detail- you can tell the ownership and staff really put everything into this place and i look forward to coming back!
Markus Ivan Peloquin
I was at the old Grand Café, which had the best corned beef and hash I've ever had. This is not that restaurant. They reopened 2017-05-12 and retained all reviews for the previous restaurant.
Courtney Olson

(Translation) My mouth is watering when I think about the brunch I had!
Don't expect impossible-to-finish American portions, but do expect careful dishes with well-crafted flavors.
I tried the Ham and Egg Cocotte, highly recommended. The Fingerling Potatoes that I ordered as a side were good but didn't tell me much.
(Original)
Se me hace la boca agua cuando pienso en el brunch que me tomé!
No esperes raciones americanas imposibles de acabar pero sí unos platos cuidados y con los sabores bien trabajados.
Yo probé el Ham and Egg Cocotte, absolutamente recomendable. Las Fingerling Potatoes que pedí de acompañamiento estaban buenas pero no me dijeron demasiado.
