I highly recommend Tall Guy. They catered our wedding and did such a wonderful job! Everyone loved the food. The biggest hit was the chicken and waffle appetizer. If I had to do it over again, I'd definitely go with Tall Guy, no question.

This team is fantastic!! We reached out to Tall Guy & a Grill after hearing so many complimentary things about their food from friends. At the time that we were initially planning our rehearsal dinner COVID-19 hit, so we were unable to have a tasting. However, we felt very comfortable booking their team for our wedding rehearsal dinner without tasting the food. A year and a half later we were finally able to have a tasting and let me tell you that their food was well worth the long wait! Brit was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process, and their food was a highlight of our event! They also were excellent in accommodating many dietary restrictions that we had at the event. Our guests were impressed with the beautiful way that they display their food. They executed the event seamlessly. Would highly recommend Tall Guy and a Grill for unique, delicious, and memorable food!

BOOK TALL GUY AND A GRILL NOW. Arguably the best wedding decision we made. People RAVED about our food. They accommodated our allergy needs flawlessly - which was so important to us. My husband has a nut allergy and I (the bride) am a vegetarian). The food was fresh and ethically sourced. They did not miss a beat. It was a 10/10 experience from the tasting, to the coordinating, to our reception, and clean up. You can literally see me in one of these photos saying "isn't this so good?!" Tall Guy catered my wedding and from start to finish they were incredible to work with! We had to reschedule twice due to COVID and both times they were extremely accommodating. They were highly communicative throughout the process and make sure that everything was handled perfectly on the day of the wedding. The food was also absolutely delicious and I couldn’t of asked for anything better day of the wedding. Food at my wedding was very important to my husband and I and man are we glad to have chosen Tall Guy. The food was AMAZING and the staff was great! They even came around during cocktail hour to where we were taking photos so we could make sure to have a few horsd'oeuvres. The dinner was a big hit and everyone was complimenting us. We used Tall Guy and a Grill for our wedding on 7/31 and honestly it was the best decision we could have made. We worked with Brit all throughout the process and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so attentive to detail, quick to respond, and gave us great recommendations. Our guests loved the food and especially the appetizers (the corn brulee and chicken and waffle skewers especially!). Having them as part of our day was a highlight and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a caterer in the Milwaukee area. Due to an overblown sinus infection, I was destined to spend thanksgiving alone. It was bad enough I would be without my family, but I had also resigned myself to eating a turkey dinner from the local grocery store. Then my daughter suggested ordering a meal from Tall Guy & A Grill. While there was no replacement for my family, my dinner was at least an amazing experience. I especially enjoyed the creaminess of the garlic mashed potatoes. Thank you Tall Guy & A Grill for putting a smile on my face and smile in my belly on this Thanksgiving day.

First time checking y'all out. My wife and I loved it all, Marg pizza and fish fry. Some of the things were a little spicy for the kids but the remoulade straightened that out! Also, canoli was a hit.

We cannot understate how important good food was to us at our wedding, and Tall Guy delivered!! We loved that they use local ingredients so we could feature Wisconsin foods to our many out-of-town guests. On the day of, everything was delicious! As a “foodie” couple, our wedding dinner was one of the most important aspects of our day. We wanted wedding food that did not taste like wedding food, and that is exactly what we got. I don't know why we haven't tried this before. We got wings on "Wing Wednesday". Flippin' fantastic!!! The "Murder Hornet" is HOT. A good kind of hot. You know, sweaty head, runny nose kind of hot. Well done, fall off the bone. They even have their own beer, an imperial stout. Look out Tomkens and Jonny Hammer, there's a new wing in town...

We had researched quite a few caterers and scheduled tastings with just three vendors to start. One was our “cheap” option, one considered a Milwaukee staple well know for catering events and then Tall Guy. We live in West Allis and we’re familiar with them. We’ve gotten a few of their pre ordered holiday meals as well as a few times having them catered at work (pre COVID). Going into it, I think we both favored Tall Guy but let me tell you, they far exceeded our already gleaming view of them. The tasting experience was wonderful. Brit was awesome. She let me go back and forth a few times on a few small details and it was not a big deal to her. She was so accommodating! She took all the pressure off me leading up to the wedding. Everything was planned out so perfectly, even when COVID threw some changes our way. Now, let me get to the most important part : the food!!! I think we’ve all had many weddings with chicken and beef as the main entrees, but I’ll tell you, so many people came up to me during the reception and even days after that the Smoked BBQ Chicken quarter was THE BEST chicken they’d ever had. Not just for wedding food, but ever. I couldn’t agree more. It was even better than I remember during the tasting. Juicy, fall off the bone chicken *chefs kiss*. The petite filet was delicious as well, but it came in behind the chicken based on guest feedback. Either way, we were so so SO happy with Tall Guys service and food and everything in between. They even gifted us a bottle of their delicious BBQ sauce. Run, don’t walk, to book them!

We love everything about Tall Guy and a Grill Catering! We were drawn to them because of their locally sourced farm-to-table style. Good catered food is hard to find, but they definitely have it down. The staff was very responsive during the planning process and was accommodating to our changing needs during COVID. We had to change venues close to our wedding date and they were so helpful in making the process seamless...they even took time to tour our new venue to make sure that they provided us the best possible service day of! I was nervous that the food we tried at our tasting (which was incredible) wouldn’t be as good when served for 150 people but it was incredible! We both got the short ribs for out meals and they were so tender, they fell right off the bone. We thought they would be too pricey for us, but they worked with us to make sure our options were in our budget. They have SO many options to choose from, it was definitely difficult to decide what we would go with but we were really happy with our selection. We had so many changes throughout planning and Alissa was always quick to respond. They were so easy to work with, I highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Tall Guy. From our tasting to our wedding day, the team made us feel so cared for and valued - I cannot recommend them enough. The menu options are absolutely incredible, and the time taken to craft the perfect menu, with personalized options and creative and delicious choices beyond the usual "chicken or steak" options, adds such a special touch to the wedding. We were also so excited about Tall Guy's "farm to table" mentality, and their seasonal choices to support local Wisconsin farmers. With lots of out of town guests, that "taste of Wisconsin" was so important to us. Our point of contact, Alissa, was beyond patient and wonderful. From an easy to read invoice, to a prompt response on questions, it was really easy to know exactly what you were getting and track every change. Alissa was incredible when our event downsized due to COVID-19, and the team worked with us to re-schedule our original April 2020 event with kindness and compassion, which were so valued. On the day of our wedding, the food was outstanding, and the entire staff working the event were professional, kind and accommodating. From grabbing my bouquet and putting it in water for me, to making sure that my husband and I got fed during our cocktail hour, the team was so warm and kind. During dinner, the team handled every transition with ease, and helped to make sure the whole thing ran so smoothly. Our guests were wow'ed by the food. I don't think anyone expects the food at weddings to be THAT good, but Tall Guy really makes you feel like you're eating at a 5 star restaurant. We also worked with Tall Guy for our bartending, and the custom cocktails were perfectly executed. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about our very professional and lovely bartender, and she made sure that the drinks were flowing with ease and such a professional demeanor. If you're looking for catering that really takes it up a notch, Tall Guy should absolutely be your go to. They are the best at what they do, and I would hire them a thousand times over for my wedding. Thank you, Team Tall Guy!!!

Their food is phenomenal and the presentation was gorgeous. (Several guests commented it was "By far the best wedding meal they've ever had!") Tall Guy and a Grill catered our daughter’s wedding on 5/11/19. They are excellent to work with from start to finish. We received so many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food. The beef tenderloin with tomato butter sauce was served to 110 guests exactly as we ordered it: medium rare! The chicken breast with Chimichurri sauce and Portabella mushroom Entrees were excellent as well. The servers were friendly and efficient with 170 served in short order. I highly recommend them and look forward to using them again for our next occasion.

There are many great caterers in the Milwaukee area but what made Tall Guy stand out was the fun twists on old favorites. Food was very fresh and fun. We had Tall Guy and a Grill cater our wedding at our home of about 100 people a couple weeks ago. Dan and his crew were unbelievable to work with throughout the planning process, as well as on the day of. Planning and orchestrating a wedding at our home was not easy. Dan was there to help us every step of the way. He helped us find rentals, his staff set up all the tables and chairs the day of, as well as set out all of our centerpieces and a full bar! My bridesmaids raved about how friendly and attentive Dan was. He and his staff really made the day run smoothly. Now on to the food...the food was AMAZING! We first spoke with Dan last winter when we booked him for the wedding. We gave him some ideas as to the casual feel of our wedding, and how we wanted our food to be locally sourced and he created a perfect menu using local grass-fed beef, local Wisconsin cheeses, and Rushing Waters smoked salmon. After the tasting and meeting Dan face to face, we knew we had definitely made the right decision! The food was delicious, and so many guests stopped me on the day of to let me know how much they loved the food. We could not have been happier with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Tall Guy and a Grill to anyone looking for amazing catering and service.

I've been lucky enough to try Tall Guy & A Grill's breakfast menu for nearly a year, consecutively, every other Tuesday. Dan's team cooks the most delicious and healthy food! The presentation of the food is beautiful and appetizing. Tall Guy & A Grill's farm to fork/table approach is unique. Not only that, they source their ingredients locally. On a personal note, I've gotten to know Dan really well, and I can honestly say he is a caring business owner, and does right by his people. Tall Guy and A Grill offers delicious food for both catering and now take-out / curbside pickup! I had the opportunity to try their delicious spread at a few corporate events and was pleasantly surprised to see that they now offer meals for pick up. I would highly recommend their fish fry on Friday! Looking forward to trying Wing Wednesday and their char grilled Jalapeños!

Can't say enough about how great it was to work with Dan and Tall Guy and a Grill!! Just had them cater my 180 person wedding at South Shore Pavilion and the food and service were both outstanding. We sat down with Dan a few months before our date to come up with the menu and then went in a few weeks later for the tasting. We absolutely relished the food tasting because the food was awesome (can't beat homemade pasta noodles) and we knew we would hardly have a chance to eat it on our actual wedding day. I spent the next 4 months talking the food up to all my guests, trying to prepare them for how good it was going to be. They were not disappointed come wedding day!! I had more than one guest come up to me the night of the wedding, and several in the days after, to tell me how great the food was. Even had one guest tell me the Beef Braciole was as good as her Italian grandmother's (which I think is the highest Italian food compliment there is). Beyond how great the food tasted was how easy and accommodating working with Tall Guy was. They were like a build-your-own wedding service. I ended up having them provide appetizers, full buffet service, all dishes, linens and cutlery and some glassware. I chose to do the bar and late night food on my own. Every random request I sent was greeted with a smile and a "no problem"- including when I realized about 2 weeks before that I hadn't ordered enough linens and forgot to order coffee. And as a bonus- we actually got to eat on our wedding day. Dan personally came up to both my husband and I a few times throughout the night to make sure we had a chance to eat appetizers, the entree and cake. My recommendation: Read the reviews, taste the food, let out a tiny squeal of joy when you see their reasonable prices, and then just enjoy your day because you won't have to spend a minute worrying about the food or the service!

Tall Guy and a Grill catered our tailgate party. We picked up the food which was well packed, hot, and ready for us. Our bus pulled up, food loaded on and we were off to Miller Park. Everything we needed was included, flatware, condiments etc... The food was amazing. We had burgers, brats, hotdogs. Fingerling potatoes salad, Italian pasta salad homemade chips and dip (soooooo good!) and a tray of delicious desserts. We ordered the meatballs too because we've heard so much about them...they disappeared fast!! Everything was so good! I would use them again in a heartbeat. We hired them to cater our wedding and they did an amazing job. Since all my family was out of state I wanted a menu that really showed of local foods and everyone was raving about it. When looking for caterers i was really put off by the other companies tendency to have everything preset or packaged and Tall Guy and a Grill had amazing food as well as more then fair prices and individual attention. Also if you love yourself get the panko crusted mac and cheese bites they are amazing.

Tall Guy and a Grill did a great job for us for an event for 40 we had at the Ruby Tap! I believe Tall Guy does all Ruby Tap's catering in Wauwatosa. Their chicken tenders, empanadas, and pulled chicken were a huge hit, and the veggie and antipasto platters were great as well! Might have done something different than the grass fed sliders in hindsight, seems like all the cheese they were stuffed with must have oozed out on the grill. Everyone really enjoyed the lunch - they kept complimenting the people at Ruby Tap, who kept saying it was Tall Guy and a Grill!

You are one of those rare catering companies that is so good, you will grow exponentially by word of mouth alone. Thank you for great food, flexibility and saving our mistake when we left 22 place settings of silverware back in Michigan. I believe you are one of the best "newer" (is that a word?) catering companies on the market in Milwaukee today. My daughter made an exceptional choice in hiring you for her wedding. It has been a pleasure to see this small, local business thrive. I've used their services several times, from a volunteer appreciation in a park shelter to a tailgate party at Miller Park to a last-minute cocktail reception during a non-profit gala. Each time I've worked with them, they've been extremely responsive in creating a menu that is within my budget and meets my needs 100%. They've added a wonderful element to my neighborhood by moving in to a storefront on 72nd and North in Wauwatosa this year. I've enjoyed their take-out brunch on Sunday mornings a number of times, and even brought it to a Packer party a few weeks ago. I find the food to be fresh and delicious - you can tell that they are using high-quality ingredients and don't make things too far ahead. I love supporting local, and I'm happy to do it with the great product this catering company provides. I've ordered part of my thanksgiving dinner from them as well - looking forward to making my cooking day a little bit easier!

TGCC has been providing lunch options for our monthly meetings and they have been spectacular, BUT at the End of Year Review Meeting they had the best Harvest Vegetable side I have ever tasted. IT was amazing, Sweet potatoes, squash etc. Always get great value for the dollar spent!

10/20/2020. I when to register to vote at the Zeidler Municipal building located 841 N Broadway. Tall guy and grill catering had their mobile wood-fire pizza. Flour girl flame was handing out free slides of pizza. YES the wood oven flavor. Pizza was delicious. I also got photograph standing and receiving my pizza. Thank you!
