Reviews of Boo’s Philly Cheesesteaks - Silverlake
Unfortunately they have no indoor seating- just pick up outside the restaurant so most of the orders appeared to be to go. They have some outdoor standing tables.
The cheesesteak itself is pretty good and reasonably priced at $13 or so after tax. Nice fluffy bread, good amounts of cheese, and well grilled meat.
Delicious Philly Cheesesteaks. Parking is kind of a pain. They were only open for take out when I went, so we went to a park to eat. I would have probably been even better dining in.
Always love the food here. I mix it up and this time I got the Cheesesteak Hogie which is the same as a cheesesteak but with tomato, lettuce and mayo added in. I definitely like an og cheesesteak but the hogie is a tasty way to mix it up. Boo's never fails to deliver an excellent sandwich.
Been to Philly and ate where the locals eat. This is as close as it get to the OG. I even like the bun here more than over there
Cheese steak was good but greasy. Fries were greasy and not as good as i would have liked but ok. No bathroom. Food brought to car. Very covid conscious!
I found this to be an interesting place. It is clear to me from the food that the owners understand how an east coast/Philly cheesesteak is supposed to be made. I had a mushroom and provolone slathered in cheese whiz. It was good but could have been a great sandwich if not for the bread. The Roll I had was a bit soggy. The pizza fries, on the other hand, are a must-have I would come back for them alone.
This is definitely a good spot! We tried it for the first time and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious! Only thing was that it was a bit pricey. We spent about $50 without drinks for two people.
Overall, it was good! I will definitely go back for more!
We ordered Cheese steak sandwiches. It was good, but too oily! Still was delicious and reasonably priced
Such good cheesesteaks! Brought some people with me from out of town and they too enjoyed it. If they offered oil and vinegar I would give them 5 stars. I'll be back, the pizza fries were ok. There's indoor and outdoor seating with limited parking.
Great Cheesesteaks, great Cheesesteak fries. Pizza fries were so, so. The cupcakes sounded amazing but were dry. If the cupcakes were better, I would've given 5 stars.
Okay. I've passed this store like fifty million times. I have always been like, I like the font. I'll eat there one day. Never do. Cut to like six years later. I'm like I gotta try this. So I head up to the window. I order on the computer. Don't have to talk to anybody. Love that. I get a mushroom/pepper cheesesteak and an Italian hoagie and some cheese fries. Now, ordering is a bit confusing. It's like, add don't add. I don't know if i need to add, but I don't. Great choice. It has most of the stuff. This place. Please. Unreal. The food. It tastes just like the font reads. Fantastic. Street. Delicious. I ate the cheesesteak so fast I couldn't even get a pic. But, check out the hoagie pic. BEASTLY. Like, I haven't seen a sandwich like this since I I was a kid and somebody brought one of those long sandwiches to class. I am like. Second sandwich. Let's go. You caught me in the middle of it. So, I gotta get back to it. Wish me luck. But, I guess, the moral of the story is - don't be like me. Eat at Boo's before you waste your time not eating here for so long.
For taste and flavor a solid 5 however I was disappointed by the size. I’m a big dude if I knew the size I would have gotten like 3. The flavor was on point. The hoagie was a perfect size and amazing as well. I don’t usually like pickles but that was so perfect with that hoagie. I will be back and make sure to order at least 3 cheesesteaks.
The pepper and mushroom cheesesteak tastes great! Not greasy and the sweet pepper is a delightful addition.
Came here and got the cheese steak hoagie, the mushroom cheese steak, and the steak fries. I got this for myself and another person, but this was easily enough food for three people!
The food itself was delicious, the meat was tender and seasoned well. The sandwich was stuffed with lots of meat as well, very filling! The steak fries were also very delicious and filling.
Worth coming back to over and over!
Legit Philly cheesesteaks. I wish they'd sell me some hoagie rolls.
Best Philly Cheesesteaks in LA! Great flavor and not to expensive. Make sure to get the cheese wiz though! The service is good too. Nothing fancy, but always polite and friendly. Parking is limited, but I just don't go when they are super busy. Sign says no public restroom. I'm not sure if that means customers only or not.
There are some parking spaces in the back of the building. I asked for the bestseller and ordered it. The staff was friendly, but the toilet had a strong smell and was not very clean. Well, there are people who love fatty food and there are people who do not love it. I belong to the second category. Therefore, I only rate here with 3 stars.
Boo’s is pretty authentic to a Philly cheesesteak. The food taste like back home on the east coast that I’ve been missing! The fries were very fresh and crispy. The place is a little on the small side but there is both indoor and outdoor eating
I love this place. When I go to this area I always visit their and get some phylly cheesesteaks. Totally recommend it.
Boos Philly cheesesteak sandwhichs are truly a staple in this community. The mushroom Philly cheese steak with cheese wizz is the best creation for a sandwich.
The employee's here are always super friendly and in great spirit's.
I'm from PA... Loved it! I dislike Philly, Pitt guy. But this was amazing! Ready for another.. Add the 🧀 whiz! The only way to go! …
They have one of the best philly cheesesteak ever! A must have when you're in the Hollywood area. Staff were very friendly and service was fast. Totally going back when I'm around that area
Sandwich is kind of small. The pictures on the website are extremely decieveing. Sandwich was okay. Nothing really sticking out. Kind of cheap on the meat. Overall not impressed.
Boo's is hands down my favorite Philly Cheese Steak place in LA. I and a big fan of the mushroom steak but I love all their options! They have all the essential elements to make them the real deal. The bread is perfect and can even survive a car ride home for takeout. You can't go wrong here. I just wish they had a little more parking but what can you do!
It was cool. I saw a dude with a funny hairdo too, so that kinda felt nice.
it was great people great service, great food the price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend coming here all the time lunchtime or dinner time.
It was great food great service, great people, and the price was very reasonable for large portions of the food A+
The Cheesesteak with grilled onions, mushroom, and provolone cheese was very good and tasty. Although the meat was slightly overdone, overall the Cheesesteak was good. The large cheese fries is alright though more fries needed to justify the price. Service is adequate. Parking is okay considering its in a very busy area of Hollywood.
Great cheesesteaks and hoagies. Tasty and filling. I also really enjoy the pickles and peppers on the side.
really good cheesesteak sandwich it was made to order and piping hot .the meat is thinly sliced ,tender, and very flavorful. I would definitely come back
My search is over. I've found the best cheese steak joint in Los Angeles. Great roll, great steak, great cheese and that's all ya need. Worth the trip
Good place to go for a quick bite. Philly Cheesesteaks run a little under $10/sandwich. Very limited parking.
Loved the cheese steak, asked for a Italian Hoagie no Salami ( allergic) and was told NO. No substitute or price change requested. This Philly Girl misses her hometown food, Will continue to get cheese steaks from here but I'll have to wait to go home for a Hoagie 🙂 …
Me and the Family are visiting from Oakland CA... We were very impressed with the Food and customer service... Food was hot , fresh and tasty we left full and wanting more. I will definitely recommend anyone to your great shop. Thank you for having us and we will visit for sure next visit.
I did a little research on Boos before going as it was a 1.5 hour drive to get there so i was well aware of people complaining about rude service and not being able to eat in the parking lot. I can say neither were an issue for me. I arrived about 1:15, after the lunch rush and parked my car in their parking lot. I ordered from the quiosk and waited about 8 minutes, i asked if i could eat in their front patio and they obliged. I ate quickly as to not take up a valuable parking space...
The Cheesesteak: I ordered a cheesesteak with onions extra cheese. In doing research i see that boos precooks their steak and reheats it (social media), i didnt see the steak being made so cant confirm but it disapoints me. I got a cheesesteak with plenty of meat but my cheese wasnt fully melted and it was just at the bottom of the roll instead of being melted throughout. All in all, this place was good just not 1.5 hour drive good and i will not be coming back
Pleasant crew. The steaks are decadent. Having not come for the fries but ordered them anyway, I was blown away; if I were walking, happen to be in a 3 block radius, and also happen to be even remotely hungry, I'd pass by for an order of cheese fries.
So good. Enormous sandwiches. I'm from the Jersey shore and this is the first time I've had anything that tastes like home
Oh man that is a really really good cheese steak - just delicious. It's a shame the folks operating this place seem to think it's May 2020 and not May 2022. Seriously, no cash accepted? Gee, lemme guess why. Would you like to enjoy your steak while it's fresh and piping hot? Too bad, the dining room's closed. I'll just sit and eat in my car then. Nope; the sign warns that sitting in their parking lot and eating isn't allowed. Just be done with it already and hang a sign that says "please go away!" I'll oblige them and stay away until these Covidian cowards decide to rejoin society.
Cant say enough. Best philly cheese stake eveeeeer. Friendly staff. I wish they open in Tampa
Best philly cheesesteak in town, seriously this is insane. A local guy recommended it to me. It was the best thing ever!
I'm trying to delete this review because I was SUPER angry when I wrote it but do not see a delete option. I was VERY angry. They should have refunded my money or sent my order to the location 2 blocks from my house and not make me drive 6 miles to pick it up, this was wrong, very wrong from the standpoint of being good people, if a mistake happens, try and help to fix it, dont tell customers, tough cookie, kick rocks, deal with it, when its as simple as a call to your other location to say, hey a customer accidentally orders at the Silver9lake location which is 6 miles from their home when they meant to order for the location a few blocks from their home, yes it's not ideal, but come on help a customer out, don't act like a robot, that this was something that could not be made right if we actually cared and wanted to put an ounce of effort to make things right, just a 5 second phone call is all that was needed instead they told me kick rocks, tough stuff, nog get in your car and drive 6 miles in LA traffic instead of a few blocks to our other location. I called 30 seconds tops to let them know of the mistake made and was told kick rocks the cheese steak is already on the grill as if they dont have 50 cheese steaks on the grill already at lunch time. The cheesesteak was actually great tasting.
If your ever in dtla by childrens hospital you must stop here and ger your self a phillychessesteak they are too die for melt in your mouth yumminess
Everything was amazingly delicious! Tender meats. I recommend everything!
The food at this place was amazing, I drove an hour to get there and since I was there I felt I needed to get a taste of everything. I ordered a Philly cheese steak with mushrooms and onion, cheese whiz, American cheese and half extra meat and two cheese fries with steak on top. It took me an hour and a half to get home because of traffic and I stopped off to drop a sandwich to a friend. When I got home after a long drive all the food was still hot and it was amazingly good. I'll be back, two thumbs up to Boo's
Ooooomg the hype Is real! This place was amazing the lovely lady across the counter was great. This completely blows away cheesesteaks from actual Philly. But helps that they are from philly
Very tasty :) I almost forgot to take a photo
Here is just half of my cheesesteak
1st time here was and my food was great! There's minimal parking so I suggest street parking. Only downside was that it was HOT inside and it was early September!
Good Philly subs, good enough, fries are simple nothing especial, really good service, would comeback.
The are no better philly cheese steaks in Los Angels, hands down the best! They don't try to fancy things up, traditional and simple.
Dined in with my family of 3. Very good place to stop by if you're in the area. Parking kind of sucks but the food is great! Although it is a little pricey but if u like Philly steaks it would be worth it. We ordered 2 Philly's one pepper and one mushrooms. I gotta say the mushroom one was by far the best. We also bought pizza fries that were delicious. Too bad we didn't take any pictures of our food. I would recommend to go before the crowd. So 10-20 minutes before lunch or dinner to grab a table as well as a parking spot.
This is probably the best cheesesteak I've had in California. I used to eat philly cheesesteaks all the time back in Philly. All diffent places. This place taste similarly to pats. Glad to see whiz cheese available even though a lot of places dont have it in socal. I ordered in person on a tablet and went to go sit in my car. You are presented with a bunch of different sandwiches and then modifier if you want to. sides and a drink. Google pay and apple pay works here. The worker brings the food out to you. I don't even know how they keep track of all the different people and cars coming in but they know who you are and that's pretty cool. If you want a Philly cheesesteak like you do back home in PA. Get one here. Or go back home to the east coast
Best philly cheesesteak ever! Prices are good, food is piping hot. Thumbs up for sure!!!
Deliciousosoooooo good
Food ALWAYS ALWAYS FRESH & HOT 🔥
Never a long line
Friendly staff
Make it just the way YOU want it
Forgot to take pics (that's when you know the food is really really good) I'll be back soon
Next time I will make sure I take a pic b4 I eat lol 😆 hopefully
Stakes are good. All else is over priced, including a $1.25 for (1) ranch.
Staff if nice.
Reeeaaallllyyy tasty sandwiches. True to the Philly style.
The only thing that I can complain about is that they were too quick! We ordered early expecting there to be a wait & traffic made us get there later. Food was stiiiill hot and delicious.
If you're from Philly and you want a taste of home Boo's is the best option in LA hands down. This place is the jawn. All others are imposters wannabes or hot trash 😁🤷🏻♂️ …
Come here for one thing and one thing only - the Philly cheesesteaks. We’ve gotten takeout from Boo’s a few times, and it always hits the spot. I would recommend on ordering extra cheese and perhaps 1/2 extra steak as well and one sandwich is good to fill you for hours.
I think I may have ordered my Phillys wrong. All four of them were super dry with little meat. The meat was good but not enough for $10 a sub. Did I need to request all the sauces like Subway? Why though? I Don't recommend the wheat buns.
.
Customer service was great, however the food was not a great experience for my first time. Sauce is king!
Fries with Cheese Wiz was my only favorite thing compared to the 3 regular meat Cheesesteaks. and the chicken Cheesesteak.
Love this place and the crew has starting to recognize me & my name because they now know it’s me before me even giving my name to pick up. I eat here once a week pretty much and after bragging to my coworkers and talking them into one order, they are now convinced how yummy Boos is cause my boss now allows me to come in late occasionally to bring lunch orders for him & my staff in Pasadena! Keep up the good work!
Love this little spot, one of the better cheese steak spots in LA since most spots don't use cheese whiz.
The food is really good, however as of 3/15/21, they don't accept orders in person. You have to order online.
Whatever you do, DON'T ORDER THROUGH THEIR GOOGLE LISTING, it routes you through Postmates and creates unnecessary potential stumbling blocks AND they charge a dollar extra.
Instead, go through their website; you'll pay at cost.
Philly cheese steak fries are delicious! Shared a provologne cheese chicken sandwich with the works (all the veggies available). This was the "healthy" alternative for a Phillycheesesteak and it definitely hit the spot. Definitely a great place that has shareable portions.
Just like they make em in Philly, all the way out here in LA. Really delicious taste of back East for a former NYer [my partner] and me who grew up all over the Eastern Seaboard for 20+ yrs. A truly authentic Philly Cheesesteak was not something I expected to find when moving to LA but if that’s what you want, that’s the flavor at Boo’s and we will be back many times.
Best cheesesteaks in the West. I drive 40 minutes one way just to get one every couple of months. I am never disappointed and it’s always worth the drive. I recommend the sweet pepper cheesesteak with cheese whiz...always cheese whiz lol.
Me and my boyfriend got a steak and cheese sub from here. It was pretty good but not my favorite. The flavor was great but the only thing that really threw me off was how soggy the bread was.
I got the Boo’s original and Mushroom Peppersteak both with CheeseWhiz and it was amazing!!! One of my favorite Philly cheesesteak spots ever! You have to order online during COVID and then they do curbside deliver once you arrive. Parking can be a bit tricky to get into depending on what direction you are coming from since once side is exit only. But still totally worth it!
Ordered online for pick up. Food was completed on time. Cheesesteaks were definitely some of the best I have had! My Philly native boyfriend said they are THE most authentic steaks he's had on the west coast.
Best cheesesteak in Cali. True authentic. Soft bread. Yummy cheese. Good meat, cheese, onion/pepper ratio.
I came here on a Thursday around 12:30 and surprisingly it wasn't that packed I didn't have to wait long but after I tasted the sandwiches I would imagine that this place would be super packed on the weekends. The cheesesteaks were perfect the bread is buttery and toasty. The steak is tender. They also have root beer. The building itself is kind of small but they have outdoor seating or you can relax and bring your pets.
God bless this place. I'm not a Philly native myself, but I did live in NYC for about 10 years, so I frequented Philly and a particular place in NYC called, '99 Miles Philly,' and that was hands down the best Philly I could get in NYC. This place rivals the whole east coast, hands down. They came ready to play ball.
This place is 10/10. They offer the whiz, obviously. The bread tastes freshly baked (and soft just like I like it), the steak is tender and very juicy, wasn't dry at all, and from the eastside to the westside of LA it was still very hot and delicious. They put some love and care into their sandwiches, that much was obvious. I can't comment on anything else on the menu, that philly was my goal. Thanks guys, I'll be back ASAP. A refreshing reminder of the eastcoast and my friends over there.
If something is the best of something that you've ever had, how can you not give it 5 stars? My 1st visit to Boo's Philly did not disappoint, their cheesesteak was easily superior to that of Philly's Best or Figueroa Philly in LA. The meat was finely chopped and cooked to perfection, and it was perfectly paired up with delicious provolone. The bread was super fresh and soft, it absorbed all of that juice and flavor. The best part was that it was under 10 bucks, I mean how can you not like that?
Boo's is located a couple of blocks over from Childrens Hospital LA, Kaiser Sunset and Hollywood Community. It's a small spot on Fountain Ave with maybe 4 parking spots. The dining is small so it's not the best for a big group but I doubt that would keep anybody away who's looking for a damn good cheesesteak.
I only lived in Philly a year but every now and then a craving of Philly hits... And this spot no doubt gets me as close as possible to it. Nothing will ever replace the feeling of being in that wonderful city. But if I close my eyes while I eat this cheese steak, its like I'm back on south street drunk trying to sober up. Needless to say this spot is great! Haven't tried any of thr other stuff just the ole Philly cheese steak with wiz , onions and a pickle on the side. Bomb.
AMAZING Philly cheesesteaks!! Being from the Midwest I have been searching for good sandwich/Philly cheesesteak spots for awhile since they’re hard to find out here, but I have FINALLY found a perfect place! Closest you’re going to get to authentic out here and just amazing taste and quality. Big portions and solid fries as well. The atmosphere of the place is simple and chill, perfect to enjoy your sandwich in. 5+ stars!
Food is good, but self service order on the phone apps is troublesome for 45mins. Covid19 is around, but need service to help people to cut down ordering, or customers isn't knowledgeable.
Ask my friends what is one of the things I crave the most and it's Cheesesteak! I love getting the Mushroom Steak with American and Cheese Wiz! With Covid, it's hard to go out and about to order Boo's... I miss it dearly... I've ordered through food apps... but they don't seem to have the option of getting the mushroom steak the way I like with both cheeses.
Wow! You can't go wrong here. There sandwiches are far above average. Prices are very reasonable. Service is fast an everyone has a smile. Spotlessly clean an easy parking. Frenchfrys are special also. You don't want to miss this one
good but overpriced, maybe shave 1 dollar off all prices cuz it isnt worht what youre charging
Best pure Philly cheesesteak on the West coast (Grant's in Portland is my favorite overall, but they tweak the formula somewhat.) Parking can be tight during busy hours (it's a small lot.) All the authentic ingredients are there, and they put enough whiz to give it vigorous flavor. Price is fairly reasonable too.
They make really good sandwiches, (mine was really good anyway). Service is takeout "curbside", so it's faster if you order online ahead.
Best cheesesteak in L.A. Seen it on Best Things I Ever Ate t.v. show. Worth the drive from home in the O.C.
Yooooooooo, watch out! This place is sick. Their sandwiches are amazing. I have driven by them almost every day for a year. Didn't even know they existed because the outside doesn't look the greatest. But don't let that stop you.
I heard about them because the guys from Buzz feed did an episode on Philly Cheese steaks and after going to 3 great places in Philadelphia, PA and spending $100+ on a Cheese steak they said at the end of the video that Boo's is better.
Now I can't tell you if that is true, but I can tell you their sandwiches are sick. Get ready for a complex explosion of flavor that just works so well.
One of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. Bread is fresh and soft. A sandwich, small fries, soda, and tip was almost $20 - so a bit steep for "fast food", but I guess quality costs.
One of the best Philly I ever had
Food takes a while to cook but is worth the wait. One of the best philly cheesesteaks I have had. Things are prepped beforehand but not cooked in advance. Ingredients are premium quality. The fries are awesome but not 5+ dolloars worth. Small order of pizza fries are $5 with $2.50 more to add pepperoni. Not worth buying again IMO. The sandwich was about 12 bucks, pricy but worth it every once in a while. I would have given 5 stars but the price is a bit much and more importantly they made a fairly large mistKe on my order. Upon the employee's suggestion i was going to get half american cheese and half with cheese wiz. Well i didnt get any cheese wiz; half of my philly CHEESEsteak did not have any cheese.
Boo's Philly is such a great place to eat or work that I haven't been there in a year and I still have dreams about it. Also, the only reason I haven't been there in so long is because I lived in Virginia and that's the other is of the country. I recommend that anybody from the East Coast visiting LA stop by Boo's. You won't regret it.
Was a little concerned when the cashier recommended cheese whiz on my cheesesteak but it was surprisingly good.
Went back a few days after my first visit and went with the regular cheesesteak with extra onions. That will probably be my goto.
Portions are large.
You can’t go wrong with Boo’s. We have philly roots and this is the most delicious cure for our current homesickness- their cheesesteaks are the best! I always get extra provolone and grilled onions and they always ALWAYS get our orders right. Web ordering and Covid pick up system is easy to maneuver, well designed and run. I really wish I could throw on some extra stars...
Take it from a Jersey Girl-- this place rocks! Excellent bread-- that is, it's soft and easy to bite into with a golden crust, unlike the artisinal brick-like slabs most deluded L.A. sandwhich shops put on "subs". The meat cuts are delicious, the fries are generously salted, the lettuce is crisp, and the cheesesteaks classic. Can't wait to go again!
Outstanding. I had been looking for the closest thing to what I used to get when stationed back east 25 years ago, without luck.
Not only was I pleasantly surprised, but I think I liked Boo's version a bit better. I remember back in the day getting the bread toasted, and getting a shot of mustard on it. The guys (and gal) at Boo's said next time I could get it exactly that way, no problem. Their version is a bit "wetter" then I recall, but I think I actually like theirs better. Job well done. I will definitely be back!
you my boy booo!
I have never been to philly. I have never had a cheese steak from there. I will not claim to be connoiseur of anything philly cheese-steak-ian but I will tell you I've had my fair share of meat and cheese and this stuff is delicious! It must be the whiz!
I have passed by Boo's probably hundreds of times. It wasn't until a friend told me how good this place was did I decide that I should probably give it a chance despite the cheesy name (haha CHEESY name). The bread is soft and warm the meat is thinly sliced and cooked to about medium-ish, and my gah the whiz! They put just enough so you can taste the salty, cheese-flavored goodness. I get my cheese steak with mushrooms and onions along with a side of fries. One sandwich is about 6-8 inches and its packed full of ingredients. I got it to go and the brown bag it came in wasnt all see through and oily like it is on TV (I didnt know if I should be disappointed or relieved ). The employees were really friendly, they have a TV in the dining room and a small patio outside. They have about a 6 car parking lot but its mostly street parking. I have only tried the one sandwich here.. so I cant give you a full review of the menu- but if you are gonna come here you should get what they're known for duuh.
Really good sandwiches but really bad service
Growing up in Philly, I obviously know what to look for in a good cheesesteak. I have seen other friends comment on this place, so I had to check it out...and lemme tell you....this place hits the spot. It is pretty authentic. In philly there are many places that do different types of cheesesteaks, and I would compare these guys to Jim's steaks on south street. I am a fan for life.
Hands down the best cheesesteak in LA! If you’re from Philly and need your fix, don’t look any further! The onions, peppers, and mushrooms are cooked in with the steak. The cheese wiz is incredible! It can be poured right on top or on the side. I’ll admit, I order an extra wiz with my side of fries. The Logan is also a top sandwich here. It’s a chicken cheesesteak loaded with so many flavors and spice. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here. Be safe and order 2.
I love this place! I gave 3 stars because every now and then, like today, they will serve you an old ass rubbery roll. I was unable to eat the sandwich and unwilling to drive all the way back during football. I will probably not return for a while. The price is pretty high and the customer should not have to eat a rubbery roll.
I love that their french fries are always piping hot. I really love the cheesesteaks here. I don't know what it is about finely sliced meats, but I just can't get enough. I tried it with their provologne cheese and loved it and also tried the cheese whiz. HA! It wasn't bad, perhaps even delicious. :) I may just stick with non-canned cheeses though. I also always get onions and peppers on my sandwich. It just wouldn't feel complete without it.
Can I also mention that I really do love the fact that this place was named after the owner's grandmother (or mother...i can't really remember). So sweet!
Seemingly so easy to make, yet so difficult to make right, the Philly Cheesesteak. I never order them because I already know that what they will give me will suck. At Boo's, what you will receive will be totally awesome. Really, really excellent. If you want a cheesesteak, Boo's is the place for you. Highly recommended. FYI, not a fancy joint. Not a lot of seating.
Definitely a classic spot in LA, at least for my group. The portions are a good size and the pizza sub is worth trying out. I found it really tasty and unique.
Tastes like home. My only regret was that I got mine with the peppers and they are the sweet vinegar peppers, rather than regular sauteed bell peppers, kinda overpowered the sandwich. Next time I'll stick with just mushrooms and onions.
There is something special about the simplicity of a cheesesteak sandwich that can transcend many lines. Boo's is a refreshing addition to a neighborhood being riddled with vegan and gluten-free seekers.
The Hoagie is an excellent addition to the menu here. The addition of mayo certainly gives an additional richness if you want to forgo the cheese whiz. Personally, the Steak Hoagie with mushrooms and provolone is my favorite go-to here.
A whole sandwich is a generous serving, thus come hungry and enjoy.
The cheese steaks with cheese wiz are perfect.
They dont skimp on the cheese and I love that.
The sandwiches came out so hot. Even letting it sit for a while it was still smoking hot.
The steak fries with cheese wiz were amazing..I mean everything had really good flavor.
Now the location is tiny. The parking lot fits only 5 cars or so. So good luck finding parking.
The inside isnt any bigger either. Maybe 5 or so tables.
But its worth it. The food is so good.
Hella bomb. Good portions but subs are piled high. Steak is tender and juicy. Love the cheese sauce. The best in LA so far.
First things first...parking sucks.
On to the food. We had the Philly Cheesesteak with peppers, mushrooms and cheese whizz. It was amazing. The peppers added a sweetness to the sandwich while the mushrooms and onions gave it an earthy flavor.
They use a genuine amoroso roll. Nice and crunchy on the outside but soft inside. Great taste and texture.
You have to order the steak fries as well. Little bits of meat with cheese whizz is a homerun.
The only way one would know that this is not a Philadelphia spot is in the way the employees are actually nice to the patrons! Don't worry about spewing out your order using codewords while a mob forms behind you. These guys are friendly and chill. The bread and meat are of a high quality and might make you think you're on South Street when in actuality, you are in a much better city with better weather, better sports teams and better food altogether.
One of the best Philly cheesesteaks that LA has to offer. I recommend getting provolone; don't get the cheese whiz, I don't care if that's how they eat it in Philly.
Their parking lot fits only about 4 cars or so; you might have to find street parking.
Traditional philly done right with thin slices, white american cheese, and a roll. Good size sandwiches. Wasn't too wild about the fries but those who like extra crispy might prefer them. Small parking lot on the corner and a selection of Stubborn sodas. Great spot for a cheese steak in Hollywood Silver Lake area.
One of the best Philly cheese steak places in LA. They use quality cheeses and veggies, toast their bread and serve their sandwiches to the brim with food. Great deals for college students and local hospitals workers. There are 2 really good vegetarian options and fries available.
I got a chicken cheesesteak with fries. The cheesesteak was nice and flavorful. The fries were nice and crispy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot is pretty small so you might have to park on the street if it is busy.
Great tasting sandwiches. Be sure to be clear when ordering. Parking and takeout is a bit difficult when more than 3-4 cars. Make sure you order ahead for pick up.
Its pretty good and the price is ok too. I'd go again, but if I did I'll remember to order the cheese on top.. they called it wiz I think. I forgot to order it on mine and had to go back and order a side of cheese. It cost $1.75 for a little cup and I had to wait like 5 min but it was worth it!
Must try, you can do half/half for two type of cheese.
Hands Down My Fav Spot for "Cheesesteak Sandwiches, " and the Best "Cheese Fries! "Friendly, fast Service, Affordable Prices. Parking sucks, small parking lot so be mindful and patient with one another. Better to take street parking.
Decided to give this place a try because of the high ratings, and luckily it was open on NYE, but I wasn’t impressed by the location or the food. Very limited parking in their lot but by chance I was able to find a spot. I ordered the steak hoagie with added mushrooms for only $1 more, and the great part about it was the huge portion for a decent price and very friendly staff, but the food itself was very bland. I really wanted this to be my new cheesesteak place, too.
Something needs to be done to make the place fresher, but hear me out, the sweet pepper cheese steak soaked in cheese (Cheese Wiz) is something unique and with every minute of your wait -which is usually no longer than 5 minutes. Definitely give it a try.
A Philly cheese steak and fries costs $11. I put this out there because at first I was like, what kind of Philly and fries costs $11. Then I got it. and it was gigantic and beautiful. I was like, sweet two meals. Then I took my first bite, and realized I was eating this whole sandwhich right here, right now.
And so it was.
Boo's is the spot.... 4 Philly cheese steaks
When I stop in Los FELIZ area.
I get my sand and top off w onions
I like this place fast and take out
Via food Apps.
Great cheesesteak! No doubt that it looks a bit like a "hole in the wall" and it is in eclectic neighborhood. Parking is limited too, even though they have parking for three or four cars, you'll be looking for street parking.
All of that was minor when you bite into your sandwich. I think that's all they sell there....which is the reason I visited! They have peppers if you want to spice it up. I did.
Had the Italian Hoagie and it was DELICIOUS. Bread was super soft, the deli meats were TASTY. Highly recommend. Was told thr Philly Cheesesteak was the best sandwich my partner had in a year!
Best cheesesteak in LA. I feel like I’m back in Philly at the legendary Pats and Genos. Same menu and same prices as the authentic spots in Philly. They even have the same hot peppers to put on top. If you need a good cheesesteak in LA this should be your go to.
I did not hate my experience here. Parking could be the only issue I could Identify. 4-5 stars rating is overselling the place. There was nothing really special about the place but that dose not mean the food wasn't good.
Legit Philly Cheesesteaks...and they cover their ass by offering cheez whiz, provolone, and white american...as well as the hoagie option with lettuce and tomato. Parking sucks but you can get away with parking at the Von's up the street. They do a LOT of local delivery too, I'm always seeing bike delivery guys picking up there. They are all business though...very quick...have your order ready when you hit the counter. Food is seasoned and tasty and they have chips straight from Philly too. Good stuff.
Love Boo's. Wish they had a vegan option though. In the meantime I order the hot veggie sandwich without cheese. The fries are delicious and don't forget the cupcakes. So good!
This Philly Cheese Steak Was Delicious I had Extra Onions Bell Peppers Sweet Red peppers. And Mushrooms Provolone Cheese NO LIE It Was Amazingly Tasty & FreahThe Fries Are Hot And GOOOD Well I Hope You Take My Review And Let It Be Your Final Decision Because I As Well Found This Diamond In The Ruff By Google. And Reviews And I Am Glad I Came All The Way From Big Bear And Guess What I Have Left Overs Yessssssss !!! 8-5-19 Oh And I Enjoyed The Customer Service Very Polite And Helpful Thanks .
I don't usually rate things but I'm from Philly and have been looking for a cheesesteak place out here. This place is GREAT! They chop the meat up like we do at home and even use Amoroso rolls. Definitely will be back.
Only bad thing is grease rips through the flimsy paper take out bags and gets all over the place. Someone tell boo to get some plastic bags or Styrofoam containers. Please don't tell me a place that sells more beef than McDonald's is actually worried about the environment. Stop being cheap and get some decent to go containers.
This place is amazing. Delicious cheesesteaks and a good price. Shout out to Lil Dicky for featuring this place on his first episode of Dave.
Needed salt. Bread was super soft, couldn't taste the onions, they charge for extra onions (75€),you can't taste the cheese wiz, never had that before and it would be a whole cheese steak charge.... Next time I'll have it with cheese wiz rather than provolone.
As always, it never really changes. Every single time, they make some damn good sandwiches. Cheesesteak hoagie with provolone the best. When I feel like gettin’ getting dirty, cheesesteak with melted Cheese Whiz is wonderful.
I don’t normally leave reviews on food, but that was the best Philly Cheese Steak Hoagie that I’ve ever had! Amazing flavors and flawless appearance 🙌🏻😁 Will definitely come here again soon! …
Best meat best cheese best times
I've worked at one of the best Philly spots in the West, Philadelphia Sandwich Co. In Scottsdale, AZ. I assure you, Boo's wizwit is the only one that compares. Excellent place, great prices, highly recommended by me!
Good Philly. The pizza Philly is amazing. Especially when you add pepperoni. French fries are the perfect fry no too salty crunchy golden brown on the outside and soft creamy on the inside
Really good philly. Excellent french fries. I'm only visiting the area but Boo's is in my book for future visits. I had the basic Philly w/ American cheese and fries. You will not be disappointed.
Great cheese steak. My one complaint was the peppers in my sandwich were not cooked enough and tasted canned. The meat was delicious and of good quality.
I didn't know about this place until bakerxderek posted it on YouTube and man was he right. These cheesesteaks are delicious. Fresh meat and veggies and soft bread. The cheese wiz on the cheesesteak makes it. Really good fries as well. I will definitely be s regular customer.
Drove from lake elsinore to this place (75 miles) no regrets, none. Without a doubt the best philly cheesesteak I've ever had and I plan on making that trip more often, hands down 5 stars easily
I went there for lunch after Google searching. I must say that they have awesome hoagies. Their classic Philly Cheese Steak is to die for! I strongly would suggest trying the Philly Cheese Steak with sweet peppers and half Cheese-Wiz and Provolone...Succulent!! Oh, and don't forget the Tapitio....IF you like it spicy like I do.
Boo's is killing the cheesesteak game. It's the best cheesesteak I've had anywhere, even in philly. The owner was the best, he even helped us park our ride. They definitely looked out for me and my girlfriend. That pizza steak is the truth. I hate that I have to go back home to TX tomorrow and I can't get another damn cheesesteak. This is a must go if you're anywhere near LA. I would seriously drive 6-8 hours just for one of these cheesesteaks. Scale of 1-10(it's a 10 all day)
Check your order before you leave! Ordered 2 Pepper Steaks, got whatever the hell this slop is. Wasn’t offered a receipt either so have no idea if they rang it in correctly or if I got someone else’s food. Super disappointed right now.
All i can say is "simply amazing". Being from southwest philly, i know exactly how this sandwich should taste. and the BIGGEST factor in how good it will be is the bread used. And 'im glad to hear that it's Amoroso bread. the ONLY bread that should be used. If you're in LA and you're in need of a real Philly Cheese Steak then i promise you this place as a Philly Native stamp of approval.
My friends from Philadelphia say the cheese steak and haogie sandwiches are unsurpassed west of Pennsylvania. Boo's tuna sandwich is the best I remember having, and tuna is the only meat I eat.
I've been living in Hollywood most of my life and I have passed by this location multiple times , today my boyfriend and I decided to go out to eat and specifically wanted Philly cheesesteaks , but most locations we know of are far heading towards west l.a. , we searched online and this place happened to be the first on the list and we decided to go , we were amazed with the food and the service from the staff that was there , as it was our first time there the guy walked is thru there menu and explained to us what was what and we got mushroom cheesesteak and sweet pepper cheesesteak and one order of fries , they are the best phillies we have tried and the pay was worth it , I would recommend this place if your looking for a good cheesesteak, we will be going back soon , this is a place you don't want to miss out on , best believe it's worth it !! :)
For a West Coast philly cheese steak in Los Angels it was good onions were on point and they even had (Steak)Fries. Parking sinks hence 4 stars.
After 28 years in Los Angeles and working in some of the finest restaurants therein and knowing all the best food spots -(Grand Burrito, Gardens Of Taxco, Stinking Rose, Pacific Dining Car) and many many other nuggets singular to the city of Angels, I have got to say that without a doubt-
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE SANDWICHES YOU WILL EVER EAT, and it will become your "guilty pleasure" overnight.
3 letters one word "WOW" from the first to the last bite amazing! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal as much I even walked out of the restaurant singing. The Philly cheese steak with mushroom and cheese whiz it's off the hook.
took my friend there tonight. he totally enjoyed his sam'ich. we really didn't need the pizza fries. that was way too much food, for us. trust me, you'll enjoy it.
Awesome cheese steak, and they are not stingy on the ingredients (like you actually get quite a little bit of meat it's not all bread). Oh and the ingredients are very fresh and the service here is great too as the employees are quite friendly.
Outstanding Philly-Cheese Steak sandwich. Your only decision is... What kind of cheese. They have the regular cheeses, I suggest the "Cheesewiz". Go for it. Sounds weird, but tastes amazing.
Food was really good but WARNING it’s extremely sloppy too. The people working there seemed cool for the most part. But also seemed to be easily annoyed.
Yumm! Please come here and get the cheese steaks! The chicken ones with the peppers are good too! Fries are great.
Cannot. Wait. To. Go. Back. Absolutely. Amazing.
We drove from Bakersfield to try the Philly cheesesteak The sandwiches were good but the service was horrible the girl was doing all the passing out of the orders was rude The only reason I am even giving the Restaurant three stars is because the sandwiches were not bad
Good food. Kiosk ordering and delivered to car in parking lot. Friendly staff no nonsense great cheese steak.
Definitely a good place to have a Philly cheesesteak sandwich or chicken if you like chicken like me. Or even half chicken half steak! The staff is very helpful if you haven’t been here and have questions, very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice.
Had a Philly Steak with red pepper & mushroom and it was everything. I found out about it on the show call Good Eats a since then I being twice in a week. (Good job)
From the east coast, gave up on finding a good cheesesteak over west, have this place a chance fully expecting it to be mediocre...ended up feeling like I was at home. Not sure a greater compliment I could give. 5 stars easy
Best cheesesteak in Los Angeles.
Love the cheesesteaks here! I'm on team Pat's in Philly, and it doesn't come closer to that in LA. Also tried their regular subs the other day for the first time, and was very pleased.
It's the bomb most likely to be the best one in LA just like Philly I know cause I've been to Philly and had pats and Gino's and Jim's and boos is right up with them but way better then Gino's.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality and service at this place. when you first see it you doubt yourself on whether you should go on or not. but if you pass on it you will be missing out on a damn good sandwich!
All I can say is OMG so good I had the mushroom Philly cheese steak yes maybe a little more than I want to pay but it was worth it because you could taste the quality in the meat and the buns and the cheese great place good find
Excellent! If you're from Philly or South Jersey this is the place to get a cheesesteak. I was born and raised in South Jersey for 27 years just across the bridge, trust me these are legit!
Excellent, second time getting through delivery and it’s just as good can’t imagine what’d it’d be like in person. Highly recommend, get two, trust me
Great subs! I just wish we could order in person (had to order online) and eat there (tables outside are unavailable)
The place smells wonderful with temptation . The food is always well packaged with seal on it . Easily to carry. The parking lot is located in the back . But going there is challenging tasks .
I Love this place! It seemed like the futher I got away from the east coast the worst the Cheesesteak UNTIL.......I FOUND BOO'S. I would have a picture but these Cheesesteak never last that long.
Excellent, big, juicy sandwich with all the right ingredients in the right amounts. I would give them 5 stars but the setting is a bit shabby.
Cool place especially if you've been to Philly. Definitely not as good as a cheesesteak from Philly but still very good. On par with a good NY cheesesteak I'd say.
Always a special treat in LA, the authentic Philly Cheesesteak here is so good and the fries are great too.
I've been a big fan of this place since they opened. Once you try a sandwich and/or cheese fries, you will develop a serious craving... highly recommended!
This place is the real deal. Everything from the bread, steak, cheese, & hot peppers are amazing. I'm a very picky eater btw...
I've had many Philly cheesesteaks after trying Boos, but I keep coming back for the best I could find! Honestly the 65 mile drive is worth it!
Hands down best authentic cheesesteak I've had on the west coast. Actually felt the endorphins being released as I ate it. If you long for the real thing, this is it!
Probably the closest representation of an authentic Philly cheesesteak as you can get here on the west coast....keep it simple and get a steak "wit wiz"....hot, fresh, and tasty. Nothing fancy, but consistently delicious.
Damn this place is good I love how you can see them cook the sandwich right in front of you the meat they use looks top quality premium the bread So Soft so good and I like that you can do half one cheese half another cheese lets you experiment and see which one you like best I prefer American
It's ok, not fancy shmancy and gets the gut down and full. Could be a little cleaner inside and out. The environment around them is not appealing to sit and enjoy. Rather take it Togo. But ok with me.
Best cheesesteaks around.
Ate here today, it is definitely worth the visit, can't walk in to order though, all orders must be placed online so be aware of that,
I was visiting LA for a concert and happened to stumble upon this delicious eatery. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Food was great & the staff there was fun and friendly!
This place makes really good Philly cheese steak Sandy's mmmm-mmmm a little pricey but oh so good small parking area nice people and they also make other kinds of sandwiches 😋😃 …
I love Boo's a beautiful steakhouse the reminds me of the Philadelphia steak sandwich they do a excellent job there which service and it reminds me of the East Cost philly steak.
Being from Philly, one of the best cheesesteaks on this side of the country hands down.
Man I was gonna take some awesome food pics but I didn’t waste anytime chowing down they are REALLY GREAT
Nice Philly cheese. Cheese wiz Poppin. The meant was nice and tender, it could almost melt in your mouth. Not a dry Philly at all very good. Go Boo's
Thank you
Really good place to eat, staff is friendly and fast even on busy days. Definitely good philly cheese steaks in LA.
Best philly cheesesteaks in Los angeles. I go there every chance I get. Love the pizza fries....
My boyfriend and I really loved the chicken cheese steak... and he's very hard to impress. Thanks Boos
It's so good! There's only 5 parking spots, will have park on the street and walk. The place is small but worth stopping for.
Some of the best cheese steaks I have had since leaving the tri-state area NY/NJ/PA.
The steak will eat through the paper so get it home fast or eat it there.
Visiting from the UK. LA has so many options for good food but this was so good we ate there twice. Not gonna lie, if we had the time we'd make a third visit... Thanks!
Shredded very thin meat, and soft rolls. Very large sandwich. They are clean, and very nice as well. Parking is limited.
The best cheesesteak your going to get, fresh, hot. Good amount of meat, bomb. Overall great experience come here often
Excellent cheesesteak perfection incarnate. Quite simply u will not find a better cheesesteak place in LA. I'm sorry to say
First contact with a Philly Cheesesteak. Was pretty good. My sister didn't like the hot veggie hoagie. Too much pickles & vinegar.
Parking is very limited. Besides that, oh my god!! The food was amazing!! The fries were amazing!! Everything was amazing! Will be back!
Drove from riverside ca . Almost 60 miles form home. Turned out to be a great sandwich. Thought about taking the drive back for another one the next day 👍 …
Nothing fancy, but who wants that when looking for cheesesteak. Quality food that worth the time and money. A staff that runs lean & mean. 👌 …
One of the best philly cheese steaks sandwiches in my neighborhood. Remember to order on the app
Another place people rave about. The cheesesteaks are good but not the best I've had. Service can also be inconsistent.
I have yet to go to Philadelphia but if the flavor is like this at Boo's I won't be Disappointed yumm 😋 …
This is the best authentic Philly cheese steak outside of Philly. Must try. I wouldn't recommend getting it with American or provolone, not whiz.
The cheese wiz tastes like Velveeta cheese and is amazing . Go now and never regret anything else you do again .
Not suitable for vegetiarians
Super nice employees. Food is so hot its lava. Good meat!:Ask for no salt then salt it yourself to taste.
This place is the real deal hole in the wall. Killer sandwiches. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. Wiz is weird but so good.
Legit Philly Cheesesteak sandie.. order online and they bring it out to you in parking lot. Tasty and Covid safe
Mmm. This was great. Sandwiches are good size for the price. I suggest cheese steak, pepper, mushroom, and italian. Cheese fries are sooo good. For cheese cheese whiz is the way to go.
Good Philly steak. Only thing the bread was soggy. Other than that the experience was great. Will be back!😋 …
5 stars for amarosa rolls from philly and friendly owner who is passionate in his art that is cheese wiz
parking is relatively easy, prices are under $10
Best Philly cheese steaks in LA. we were on vacation and i drove 45 mins out of the way to grab a couple.
This owner cares about his customers and it shows with the Quality of his food and Service. Excellent! You won't be disappointed!
Had their philly steak for the first time. It was awesome! Fills you up for a decent price too.
Awesome food, staff and service. I heard about this spot on Instagram and had to try it... definitely going back soon...
boos has become a weekly treat. Customer service is always top notch too. Authentic cheesesteaks... Always a great-
This is a go-to of mine. The only thing you'll regret about this place is if you've never had it, or if you arrive after they've closed. According to some of my friends from Philly, this place is legit. The roll is what makes their cheesesteaks authentic.
Always a reliable Philly Cheesesteak
Good food, not so much on the drink end of things. Still, best Philly I've tasted in LA
Cheesesteaks are consistently good.
My family liked it ..
Fun good philly cheese steak. Lmao takes Koreans to make a good philly cheese steak in Los Angeles. Classic cheese steak with wizz. With the trip to silver lake.
This place was good we drove an hr and a half just to try it I got the pilly and a hoggie sandwich with frie's was super please it's like God himself gizz on the sandwich thank u GOD
I've been looking for years for a hoagie that tasted even close to as good as those I loved in PA. Finally found it!!!
Real good subs and plenty of variety. Would give them 5 stars but the cheese whizz isn't very good.
Best cheesesteak I’ve ever had!
Get their sweet pepper onions add mushrooms with half chizwiz and provolone....D best...better to eat it dine in as the bread gets soggy if you eat it to go
Great food staff could have smiled or acted like they wanted to be there but I get it that's why I'm leaving a 5 star
The food is able to stand up to east coast standards I was very surprised my new spot for sure
Make sure if anything you eat your sandwhich there. with a to go order you wont get to appreciate the bread thaT gets shipped freah everyday.
First timer had the philly with mushrooms provolone cheese it was delicious....i will be back
Boos is great! A hole in the wall with very good Philiy steak sandwiches. Love em
Awesome Philly Cheesesteaks!! Savory! Excellent fries! Fast service, friendly staff!
Not bad cheesesteak. Not enough provolone, will have to get extra next time. Tiny parking lot.
Got the mushroom cheesesteak with provolone
Very fast service and delicious
Didn’t think to take a picture just ate it !
Great cheese steak! Small hut like place with some indoor and some outdoor seating. Will visit again!
I don't know how they get down on cheesestake in Philly but this place was pretty bomb!
Best cheese steak I've ever had
Very friendly and clean place. The food was great and over all great place. Will be returning in the near future.
Off the chain!!! One of the best kept secrets in LA I had the cheese steak with mushrooms. Must visit
1st time there. Sandwich was delicious. I will be back. Next time ill get something with tons of cheese.
Great spot for cheesesteak and peppersteak! You gotta do it oldschool and go for the cheesewiz. Prices are good as well!
Absolutely insane cheesesteak. We had to find the nearest parking spot to devour it.
Anyone that leaves a negative review only does so bc they messed up their order! Best Cheesesteaks in LA!
Good food and not have to wait long for the food to be ready. Also got a t-shirt.
Boo's is that real! Tasty Steak Sandwiches and great service. Outside patio and indoor dining
The cashier was a great dude. The Phillys were excellent. Will come back here!
I've been looking for a great philly cheesesteak for a very long time......I found my spot.....delicious
Best Philly cheese steak with everything on it we've ever tried in socal! loved it!
The best and only true cheesesteak outside of Philly I have ever found! A great find.
This place was awesome! Enjoyed everything I ordered and it tasted as great as it looked.
The food was good but the place could use a fresh coat of paint to put it mildly...
One of the best Philly cheese sandwich in LA no doubt
I love this place my favorite is mushroom cheese steak with a bag of Wise bbq potato chips.
Great cheese steaks! Good quality and great flavors. Awesome service!
I love the Logan!!!!!! There's nothing else I like, but the Logan is amazing. Parking is terrible.
Best Philly Cheese Steak fix in LA 😋
Mushroom steak w/ sweet peppers. Half provolone half whiz.... O M G …
Best Philly cheese steak in SoCal
The new drive thru line is amazing and every order is placed thru Boos website.
Best steak I've had outside of Philly! They do everything just right.
Its a good substitute for the original philly cheese steak, friendly staff i would go back
Sandwich was great. Very good bread and the meat was tender and tasty.
Was there last year . I’m originally from Philadelphia and for $25!dollars, it was worth it since I no longer live there.
Great Philly sandwiches. Fries are good too. They are like In n Outs fries
The sign says it all - Realest cheesesteaks outside of Philly. Great find on a fun trip!
Best Philly cheesesteaks around. Always stop in when I'm in the area.
Too pricy. Sandwiches are pretty good, but not worth the menu price.
Great place for cheesesteaks, the owner is great friendly people. Recommend always
My favorite cheesesteaks in LA, I get it with American cheese. Also the turkey hoagie is fantastic.
Born and raised in philly and Boo’s rivals anything back home. Best in LA for sure.
Friend from Philadelphia had recommended this place, he had said it was the closest to Philly you can get, it did not disappoint.
Food is delicious and service is good although a little bit pricey foods.
I usually like Boo’s … but this ish was just straight up disappointing. 👎🏻 …
The best , most accurate philly Cheesesteak in town . Simply wonderful
I love cheese wiz steaks with mushroom you can easily fill with half sandwich
I'm originally from Philly, great sandwiches. I drove over an hour and will be back.
Best cheese steak in LA. Hands down. Good customer service, too.
I love me some Boos. Great tasting Philly cheese steak sandwiches.
The sandwiches were excellent!!! A little pricey - but the quality matches!
Delicious!!!!!!! You have to try this spot more than once, we will be back.
Parking and ordering is a bit strange but super delicious
Best philly cheesesteak cause they use cheese wiz. Great staff as well
When i crave for great cheesesteaks i just walk a block away to here and there you go my day is fulfulled
Trust me the food is really good. Dont let the putside of the restaurant fool you.
Awesome steak sandwiches. Really good for a quick bite and very addicting.
I live an hour away in Orange County....seen the video on facebook and had to go very good not disappointed 👍 …
When u get a sandwich think again and have two cause they are delicious with that cheese sauce !
Love this place. Better than most cheesesteaks in Philly.
Great cheesesteaks! Not much indoor seating though and parking might be an issue.
It was really good... Haven't had cheese wiz since the late 80's
Now that the Philly Cheesesteak Depot closed in Hollywood, this is the best local cheesesteak spot I've found 🤘 …
Definitely enjoyed the Philly cheese steak next time going for the hoagie Philly cheese steak
Bomb af especially after a blunt satisfaction triples, that's 3 layers player of pure satisfaction👌🏽 …
There's generic cheesesteak places in LA - this place is NOT. Authentic philly cheesesteaks.
Amazing quality. beats all fast food. more food places should be like this
Boo's Philly is SO BOMB!!!🔥👌🏿 DROVE OVER 200 MILES TO GET IT&IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. …
Best Philly cheese steak and they have that good ol cheese whiz!
Excellent food! And freshly cooked while you wait!
The pizza sandwich and pizza fries were extremely good. Loved it.
Just about the best Philly cheesesteak you can get in LA. Coming from a Philly native.
Love the fries n original philly steak sandwich BOmB!!
Honestly one of the best philly cheesesteak places in L.A..
I recommend this place! Fast service, sports, outside seating, and really really good hoagies!
I got really good service and the food was good. Will definitely be back.
Not the best but definitely good enough to come again
The sweet pepper cheesesteak packed a lot flavor no condiments needed. 👌🏾 …
Cheesesteak was okay, service was fairly unfriendly. Wait time was low.
It was alright. Nothing to write home about. Steak fries were satisfying.
I don't have much Philly Cheesesteak comparison i tried but i liked it.
Good food, good service.. only bummer is the parking situation.
Delicious! Go with Cheez Whiz for tangy or provolone for texture.
A tad pricey, but worth it. Enjoyed my cheesesteak and the fries.
Pizza cheesesteak was great. Friendly staff and quick service.
The taste of the philly is the original, a new favorite spot for me 👍 …
Quick and good.
Consistent, delicious, and dependable.
The best cheesesteaks I've had since moving to California!
More than I wanted to pay but the food was delicious.
It's great. I'm from Philly and it rings true like the Liberty Bell

Food alone is 5 stars. Knocking 1 star for lack of parking.
Delicious cheesesteaks!!! Quick service. Friendly staff.
Delicious, no gristle, tender, tasty however greasier than it should've been

Very good, but still not Philly.
The mushroom steak sandwich and the tuna hoagie are really good!!
