We spontaneously stopped at Capriotti’s and I am so glad! We got the large Impossible Cheese Steak Sandwich (which is actually 2 full subs!). I positively inhaled my portion. It was the best vegetarian version of a Cheese Steak sandwich that I’ve ever had and it tasted just like the sandwiches from Philly! I cannot rave about this sandwich enough. Everything was perfect: the ingredients, textures, FLAVOR, and temperature. It’s not a matter of if but when we’ll revisit Capriotti’s. Absolutely fantastic! Excited to try other things on their menu!

We live on the far west side and had a coupon so we tried it. They put Penn Station to shame. Tried the regular cheese steak and the wagyu cheese steak sandwich. Both were delicious and full of meat to the end of the sandwich. I'll make it my mission to stop by whenever I'm on the east side.

Capriotti's has ruined other sandwich shops for me. So thanks a lot, now I have to drive an hour everytime I want a sandwich. They are so damn good, nothing else can compare. I forgot to take a photo of the "Bobby" but it's the Thanksgiving feast in a bun, and taking a bite of it is like the scene out of Ratatouille where the food critic takes a bite and is transported back to his childhood. It is that good!

Great sandwiches and great service. The have some of the best bread and that's really what takes the sub to the next level. The meatball is great. I like the marinara and the meatballs taste fresh. Make sure to join the rewards program and scan your friends receipts.

I got the Italian. It really was fantastic. My wife got Capastrami. The flavors in both sandwiches were phenomenal. The environment was clean and modern. The service was fast, nice, and helpful. Really so much more than you would expect from a franchise place. We'll definitely be returning often.

Eric at the front counter is awesome and genuine and makes everyone who comes in feel welcome. He's like everybody's favorite cousin :) Consistently great food. Our favorites are the cheese/steak sandwiches and the Capistrami. Surprisingly the traditional cheesesteak is better than the Wagyu cheesesteak. Didn't care for the Turkey Bobbie. Cookies are a must.

Liked the steak and cheese sub. I think this place has pretty good subs. Ultimately it is still a chian sub place good place to go for quick lunch. Prices are higher than other places. That's why I gave 4 stars value isn't the greatest. Medium steak and cheese with chips and drink is over 16 dollars.

Decided to try Capriotti’s for the first time and I must say the food was great. I had the Philly cheesesteak and I enjoyed the sandwich. The flavor was great. I’m excited to try some other sandwiches next time I return.

I asked for an earlier pick up then what the restaurant received. When I got there they jumped right on the order. I was entertaining five people coming over to watch football and none of them had tried this restaurant before. Capriotti's now has five more customers! This place rocks! Everybody said this was the best sandwich with the freshest ingredients and they were all impressed!

Where I live - I have to drive past many sub places which may be why this is my first visit to Capriottis. What you will experience there is something that will catch you off guard. The fella at the register taking orders will blow your socks off with the quality of customer service they give you. Then...the wait was fairly minimal..though it was not very crowded while we were there. I ordered the classic italian and got the big one...surely big enough to feed two people. And when I got home with my sandwich - fresh bread...great ingredients and was a delight to eat. They have a very interesting list on the menu so I will try something new next time - not too far off in the future.

Gave this place a try on a Monday ended up eating here 3 times that same week. Really good food made fresh. Definitely try the wagyu roast beef sub with a side of Cole slaw. Fast service, friendly employees. Give it a go!

Had a coupon and decided to give them a try. We both had the Wagyu beef cheesesteak, and it was the best sandwich of it's kind that I have ever had. The meat was great, bread fresh, cheese just right. I am sure someone from Philly would fight me on that, but I can tell you it was amazing. Friendly service, and a free kid's grilled cheese, too. Pricier than some of the bigger chains, but worth a few bucks more.

Been there twice now. Both times got the steak and cheese with hot peppers. Very delicious and those peppers bring the heat. Only issue is a small 8" sub is almost $12. Add chips and a drink and your at $16 for lunch.

Very, very good subs. Terrific staff. The issue I had was my order was wrong and is the only reason this place didn't get 5 stars. The sandwich is still really good which is why I gave it 4 stars. I ordered CHICKEN steak and got cheese steak. The exact thing happened to 3 people in front of me. I would recommend changing the name of one of them if it happens that often or with every customer clarify if they want Cheese and not Chicken. Very annoying and disappointing.

Every time I go there I always get Wagyu roast beef. This last time I got a hot Wagyu steak and cheese. This stuff melts in your mouth. The best sandwich from any sandwich shop by far. Highly recommend!!!

Capriottis has the best sandwich in America. Try the "Bobbie" hot or cold. It's has all the flavors of your Thanksgiving favorites. The staff at this location is excellent. They will help you out when ordering and cook all of your food to order just the way you like it. If you've never been there you should try it out. They roast their turkeys in house for all of their sandwiches.

I'm currently pregnant and my craving has been Italian subs, so I've been trying lots a different places! This was my first time trying Capriotti's. I thought it was a little pricey, $9 for an 8 inch sub, but the sub was a good size and had lots of toppings. It did have a lot of dressing on it, almost too much. I was ok with it because I like my sandwiches saucey, but it did start to make the bread soggy. The meat was all stuck together from being grilled so some bits were chunks of meat while others were all veggies and dressing. Overall the sub was ok, not my favorite from what I've had.

Solid sandwich...very good. I got the Capastrami (their Pastrami sandwich). Some thoughts: Overall, I was struck by the attention they dedicate to the flavor profile of their offerings. I noticed that 'Russian Dressing' seems to be a key layer on many of their menu selections. I actually think this is a positive: I find Russian Dressing to be an interesting and unique type of dressing, and one that is not very common, at least not around here. The other key layer they use is Cole Slaw, and again this has a positive influence on the selections they use it with. The only demerit (and ultimately reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) would be the bread. Given the "Italian" presentation of the brand, I would have expected a crustier, more true-to-form bread. They are bringing in pre-made loaves rather than baking them in store. My philosophy with sandwiches is that the bread "makes or breaks" a sandwich. Look, the bread wasn't terrible, and I've had worse, but it was not crusty and perfect. Any water-based additions to the sandwich such as the slaw, dressing, and certainly any vinegar and oil, soak right through and cause a soggy bottom and corners. And any sandwich aficionado will tell you...that's not cool man. Ultimately though, great experience. I noticed another review gave 1 star because the reviewer felt this sandwich shop wasn't on par with deli's in New York and L.A. Well I think that's a bit unfair, they're not actually claiming to be like a deli in these ultra-competitive and higher-standard (both food-service and general public) areas. What I got was a solid sandwich with a robust flavor profile and plenty of pastrami. If they could just get the bread right, this place will really stand out.

This place is a gem, and I wish we had them where I lived. My wife knew of them as a Delaware staple. We went to this location on the way out of town, and it lives up to the hype. The Italian sandwich was fantastic, one of the best ones that I've had. My wife got the "Bobbie", which is Thanksgiving on a hoagie. It's pretty incredible, and anyone that's near here should go enjoy this treasure.

The food was amazing! I ordered the Capistrami with chips and a Pepsi. The food was fast and hot! I loved that I was able to sit down and relax and they brought the food too me. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations on what to eat. The one thing I noticed was how clean the place was! I'll definitely be back over and over again.

I've only eaten there one time so it's a bit unfair to give a full review, however I just wanted to offer a bit of advice. The Bobbie is a cold sandwich. I had a very similar version of this sandwich at another place before and it was hot - so I assumed the same here. Actually, I'm not sure why its served cold considering it has stuffing on it. Either way, they threw it in the oven to toast it for me and it turned out ok. The staff were very friendly and I may give them another shot at some point. The only other thing to note is the price. You're gonna spend $12-15 for a combo so be mindful of that.

I don't know where to start since everything about this place exceeded my expectations. No, really. It's a sandwich shop in a strip mall by Castleton. That's how you would describe Subway or Jimmy John's, but it's not even proper to put these places in the same conversation. I would put this in the company of DiBella's or Gandolfo's. But this may be the leader of that pack. Start with the decor. Brightly lit but not obnoxious. Nice use of nostalgic lightbulbs. Everything was spotless, even behind the counter (which is open for all to see). (Granted, they just opened 2 weeks ago. Let's see it in 6 months). The menu is somewhat limited, but the selection is adequately varied. They offer sandwiches, soups and salads. They also have a "Capture 2" (1/2 sandwich, soup or salad). Sandwiches come in 3 lengths. I had the Chicken Cheese Steak and it tasted very good. My only ding on the whole experience was that the ingredients were a touch sparse. The biggest surprise was the clam chowder. Wow!! Honestly, perhaps the best clam chowder I've had at any restaurant. (I know you are thinking I must not get out much - but check all my reviews). It's worth getting all by itself. My wife got the balsamic chicken salad and liked it. Prices were pretty reasonable too. Sandwiches run from $7.50 to $16 (remember, 3 different lengths, 9", 12" and 20"!). Salads are all $7.50. We were already talking about coming back and what we would get next time before we even left. How awesome to have this so close.

Always great service. Although I prefer penn station or potbelly for hot subs, and dibellas for cold subs, it fits into a niche where it has more unique choices of predetermined sandwiches like the bobby or capistrami. I probably frequent all four equally.

Customer service was blah, I ordered the medium Homemade Tuna sub and my Husband ordered the American Wagyu Slaw be jo. My tuna sub was perfect however, the Wagyu was ordered without mayo and to our surprise it instead had extra mayo. Didn't want to make a fuss about it because he was hungry, so he removed off as much as he could. Besides the extra mayo he did enjoy the sub. Overall the subs were good and very filling, we may revisit in the future.
