Right off the bat let me start with the food. Omg! One of the best Persian food experiences I’ve ever had in Texas. We ordered three different plates of rice and beef kebabs and also chicken kabob. Oh man all were mouthwatering and tasty. Kebabs were all tender and juicy. Well done “chef”. The interior design was kind of interesting and funny looking. It seems like a pretty small restaurant with limited tables for dine in. The seats were not really comfortable though. Let me mention that it was a little pricey for not being that much of a fancy restaurant! But again, for the food I highly recommend this place!

The food was very good. The staff is very attentive and nice. They also have lunch buffet that they do not advertise. Not sure how long that's going to last. If that's what your aiming for, call before showing up, to make sure they have the buffet. It is a very good way to try a little bit of everything that they offer. Persian food is the best . . . .

We loved it! I had the lamb shank and my wife and kids all had the mixed kebab, all of it fantastic! Our kids liked everything, except the doogh but hey, they did try it. 10/10 would go every week if I could.

Great service. I feel like if they should be serving fountain drinks rather than cans. Quality was right on par. I ordered the Fesenjoon which was very delicious. My wife got the chicken labib which was cooked perfectly.

Very good food and friendly environment and very nice owners who would take very good care of you every time. Authentic Persian food that almost feels like came out of ur best homemade Persian kitchen. Must try spot in katy. Great kababs, khoresh, and lamb shank. Don’t miss out!

It was good as a newly opened restaurant. Food was good, with big portions. Service was not that good, clearly they were new in this business, but I wish them luck and hopefully next time I'll get a better service. The ice cream was good. Shirazi salad was awesome.

I have never had these dishes before and was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The fesenjoon was a little tart sweet from the pomegranate with a nutty flavor and was good paired with the flat bread. The zereshk polo was definitely interesting. I have never had barberries before and was surprised by the tartness and lingering sweetness which was well countered by the more mild well cooked chicken. Only complaint is that the flat bread was not covered and was delivered on the doorstep with the inside touching the plastic bag which was not sanitary

Delicious authentic Persian foods. We ordered their zereshkpolo with chicken and their kabob. Both our dishes were beyond my expectation. Very welcoming environment as well. Would definitely recommend this place. We also had some special sweet treat they had.

Our first trip was a great experience. Not a wide selection (beef/chicken kabobs, lamb shanks, eggplant dip, and a few other small things) but cooked well. The chicken and ground beef kabobs were amazing. Very affordable, especially if you bring your own wine. Clean dining room and friendly, attentive service. Will definitely be back.

We (a group of seven) had dinner yesterday night at Shahzad in Katy Texas, and it was very good experience. Food was on point in flavor and quantities. Prices are very reasonable. One of the things we liked the most is that this Family own restaurant has an outstanding personal attention, they were all time taking care of us. What a wonderful surprise to find this gem in our neighborhood! I look forward to trying every item in their menu. If everything else is as good as their Ghormesabzi, then my prayers for a really great Persian restaurant ANYWHERE in Houston have been answered. It was cooked to perfection, and not too oily! The portions were generous, and their complementary bread which they bake on location is to die for. Keep up the good work. Please!

Omg, talk about delicious flavors! The rice was amazing, (a little salty) great flavor mixed in with my veggie dish. The hummus had unique flavors, I ate everything on my plate. Food looked good, but never got a chance to eat as we stood there for about 10 minutes and no one helped us or even got us seated. Prices are on the higher end and atmosphere is kind of funky. I probably won't be coming back here.

I found this place via google search and wasn't aware it was so close to me. I called in a to go order for a Mixed Kabob entree and was very impressed by the portion and flavor. Although the chicken was mildly undercooked, especially from the center. Another thing they lacked was fresh bread, I got cold slices of store bought pita. If they impove their chicken and introduce fresh bread this place is easily a 5 star establishment. I will definitely try them again.

VERY delicious and Authentic persian food !! We ordered a variety of different appetizers and entrees , everything was absolutely fantastic, portions were plentiful -it was so good nothing was left over to take home ! Great service , very clean , fun comfortable atmosphere and the owners were very kind and a beautiful hardworking family. This is now our go back o place for dinner and take out !! You too will enjoy it !

So I've never had persian cuisine till today and the high level of service and attention to everything is bar none the best. They walked us through the menu and their starter suggestions were in-cre-di-ble! The pricing is on point but the quality should almost demand more. Great atmosphere and comfortable seating. If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop in and partake in the magic that is Shahzad!

My wife and I visited on a Saturday night and it was not crowded. This is sad because the food was excellent. We are not that familiar with Persian food, but had heard good things about Shahzad. They did not disappoint! The owner was very friendly and we chatted for a while. We were pleasantly surprised. Give it a try.

Kabab was amazing and after they offer me tea. I thought I have to pay and I ask how much is it and the waitress said is free today for you. We had a wonderful lunch experience at Shahzad today. We enjoyed the food,I got the chicken with bone and my husband got the Soltani my daughters got the Kubideh all were very juicy and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall we were pleased and will be returning to support this family owned business.

The food was good, the only issue I had it was the different prices I was charged they did not match the prices on the menu, I was not informed of this when I was ordering and it was only brought to my attention when I seen the bill. When I asked she said prices went up since corona viruse came along, and I do understand but if the price your charging is different from what you have listed on the menu is good to inform the customer before they order certain items.

Just visited newly opened Sharzad Persian resturant, the one and only Persian restaurant in Katy. From the moment we entered, we were impressed with the nice decoration, cleanness, and warm hospitality of the owners. When the food was served, every bite was melted in our mouth! I like how tender the Barg Kabob was. I enjoyed every bite of my food. I am so happy that finally a great Persian resturant opened up in Katy. It was a long overdue. We look forward to our future visits. Congratulations to the owners for opening up such a great restaurant.

We had eaten at this restaurant on the first day they opened and at that time the food was ok but we are glad we gave this place a second chance as this second time the food was simply delicous! The lamb shank was espectacular. The only thing we didn’t like much was the bread that was a little dry but we liked everything else.

We went there with my family, So far, this is the best persian food I have eaten in any restaurant in USA. For persian, this is so nostalgic, you HAVE TO try it. For, Americans, if you want to try any other culture food, this worth your money. Try their Soltani’s kabab and their lambshack, their torshis and gheime.

The Zereshk Polo with Chicken took me back to Iran. Most places don't have zereshk and use cherries or cranberries instead, but having the actual Zereshk flavor was what made the dish so great.
