Love Antone's! You may have gotten then from your grocery store, but they are so much better fresh! Bigger variety here than the stores. Nice big eating area & has an outdoor patio area too. Look up their menu online. Didn't keep my receipt. But remember- usually busy & they have an exit only driveway & an enter only driveway. They do have a drive thru also.

Finally went in person for lunch after getting their sandwiches from the grocery store for the longest time. It was a very easy, tasty lunch. I got the vegetarian sandwich which was great. The hush puppies were awesome. The service was super quick. Only downside is the parking lot is a bit of a mess. Will definitely be back for an easy weekday lunch!

Came because it wasn’t too far from where I needed to go. I was a bit torn between getting the brisket sandwich or the Tex Mex cheesesteak and the gentleman that was working at the register suggested the Tex Mex and I’m so glad I listened to his suggestion because it was awesome. I also got a side of the chipotle and the Cajun mayonnaise and that was just the icing on the cake. The service was excellent. Had such a fantastic time and would recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I got lost and ended up here to grab lunch. I ordered a banh mi style chicken wrap and they gave me something different. Because it definitely was not a wrap and didn't taste like chicken. Looking at their menu, I think they gave me Dr Hotez Bahn mi. It was good so I'm not complaining. Will definitely come back and try their other menu items.

A good selection of sandwiches. A few of my favorites are the original, the super original, and the club. Always tastier when you get fresh soft bread. The ready made tuna sandwich today was okay. I prefer tuna sandwiches from other sandwich shops.

I got the tex mex Philly cheese steak sandwich! I was very skeptical at first but man this hit the spot, I have to try a few more before I can say they’re better then papa genos but so far it’s just as delicious and fulfilling! Not going to lie the Cubano looks even better then this so might get that next time! The only thing is this place doesn’t have condiments so kinda threw me off but the jalapeño on the side was different and I liked that so all in all I give it a 8 out of 10 for the flavor and 10 out of 10 for the quick speedy service! Very quiet and friendly environment!

I had never heard of Antone’s until today. I was looking for a good sandwich for lunch and all the normals like Fire House or Subway is to far from work. Found this spot right around the corner from work. I ordered the cheese steak and oh dear God. This was the best South West / Baja style cheese steak I think I have ever had! The flavor was magnificent! The portion size was just right. Not to big, but not to small. The staff was nice and friendly as well. Can’t wait to try some of their other sandwiches.

Awesome sandwich shop! Parking was easy. Lots of seating including a small patio. Counter service. Got a Cubano and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Place is small. Has seating inside and outside. Drive through available. We have eaten these sandwiches for years! When I worked at Jeff Davis Hospital we would break through the fence to get them. Of course both those facilities aren't in existence anymore. But this one is and well worth the effort if you're into a quick tasty lunch. They have other items on the menu. We just haven't tried any yet.

I try this place out and got the Texmix sub or it was called something like that and I tried there garlic parmesan fries also. It was good and its alot of food together. Let me tell you that no other sandwich place has nothing on Atone's. I had the Cubano and it was great. There are so many different sandwiches to choose from. I wish we had one here in North Louisiana it would be my go to sandwich shop most definitely.

Great selection of pre made sandwiches and sides, as well as made to order W dine or to go. I ordered a chicken club, garlic parmesan fries and the chicken soup. Everything was great. I recommend this shop for a quick bite.

I did go through the driveway. Note: the driveway is slightly narrow so if you have a bigger car, truck, van you're gonna have to watch out. The service itself through drive through is pretty great. The attendant was patient with us and was able to get us going. The wait for our food was less than 7 minutes which was quick. I enjoyed the shrimp po boy greatly and I recommend it! All in all from start to finish, it was a great first time experience and I would go again when I am in the area.

They only have 3 stars because the sandwich was good. Other than that I'd give -10 for everything else. The staff was HORRIBLE the short haired blonde girl that worked the register had a horrible attitude it seemed like she didn't want to work there. On top of that I ordered the combo which you have to pay extra for (which wasn't a problem) the problem started because my fries NEVER came. My friend went up there a few minutes after my food arrived to inform them the fries were missing. They didn't seem to care and were no help. We all finished our food and still no fries at this point we just wanted a refund on the fries. But they refused the refund the "manager" said the best he can do was give me a single cookie.... 🙄

Don't go inside! Order drive thru if you are able to squeeze in that narrow alley. Good sandwiches, but the place was unhygienic, accompanied by a, what I assume to be, a disgruntled blue haired cashier. The place had maybe 4 patrons so there were lots of open seating... none of the open tables were cleaned up and there was spilled food on the floor. Qq

LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the sandwiches here. Anytime we are in town, we have to stop by and pick up half a dozen originals. Originally a Houstonian, every bite is delicious and a reminder of younger days. My now husband of 30 years spent many evening picnics eating an original while talking and laughing at Allen parkway. Nostalgia doesn't even begin to touch the visceral memories intertwined with this sandwich. Go pick some up and have a picnic on the parkway, or any of Houston's gorgeous public spaces. You won't regret it!

A well known mainstay around the Houston area, as their sandwiches seem fairly pervasive in area grocery stores. The quality in this main location is a little better than you'd find elsewhere, and with a better variety. This is a good place for a quick lunch.

Establishment was clean staff was great and food was fresh. I had the Tex Mex Cheesesteak and the bread was toasted just right, cheese was melted perfectly and meat was well seasoned and tender. Also peppers and onions sauteed just right. Definitely recommend going here.

The sub from Antones at the shop is better than what they sell in the gri ery stores. It isn't a Jersey Mike's or a Firehouse sub, but a pretty good simple sub. The super original is nice

Found this place while in the area one day, and being from New Orleans, it was awesome. The service was great and workers were nice. The place was clean and had a nice at home feel to it. I plan to return and enjoy it again.

An absolute classic. You can never go wrong here!! It's so simple and filling. The staff is always very kind & service is fairly quick. During lunch this place fills up very fast BUT it is worth every minute. Order for one on the fly or order for a crowd! Either way, everyone will be pleased! Price adds up fairly fast, as 1 sandwich starts around $6.95. You can add chips or fries, hushpuppies for $1.95. I dont remember drink cost but they do have a sandwich combo! Don't miss out on the other items like desserts, soups, salads, and poboys!

The gumbo was very greasy and lightly flavored. I had more vegetables than seafood. The tea taste like most places that leave the tea sitting there all day and don't wash it out... Very old and nasty. If they could improve this. I will rate better.

The Italiano sandwich was good. Chocolate chip cookie had just enough chocolate chips and very moist and soft. It also had pecans so be careful if you have nut allergies. The garlic parmesan fries words St and a small amount of cheese but we're definitely worth the price. Boy sandwich fries and cookies close to $17 was spent so just be mindful when it comes to price.

Excellent food, a simple menu that I can appreciate with just enough choices not to feel overwhelming. Got the original, and wish there was one by me. Was so good. Worth the trip to the other side of town. Parking lot is super cramped, but that can be overlooked by the quality of food. Will definitely return.

Yummy, quick, reasonably priced, plenty of parking available. Worst part is the location, it's off of 610 in an area that takes 30 minutes to get to from either direction if it's daylight outside with houston traffic

Glad to see this place open again inside and the service is really good. Though not the Original Antone's family (now owned by a corporation out of Austin, Texas) the food is close to the original formulas, the store no longer exists and there are only 2 locations , all the other originals are gone. Nice Friendly staff here and mostly efficient. Recommended for that old Houston Feel and Taste (Originally of Lebanese Family Ancestry, though the original family no longer owns these sandwich shops) Other items available as well that were not original to Antone's such as Gumbo and Fish

Sandwiches are actually pretty good - definitely well above average - but wow that was the worst seafood gumbo (or any gumbo) I've had in my entire life. My boyfriend brought some home for lunch and I actually thought we'd been given vegetable soup on accident. Just no flavor and the seafood items within tasted like they didn't even devein them. I tried to power through and couldn't finish, and I'm really not one to complain about food.

I've always been a fan of this place even though I find the drive through person is usually very unhappy and unfriendly. Today really took me by surprise because I ordered 2 sodas and 3 sandwiches for the family. Once home we realized every single item was wrong. For example I ordered a Piggy sandwich for my husband and even though tagged correctly he found a tuna sandwich inside the packaging. Not sure we'll be supporting them any longer especially considering this still cost $32.

Of course the sandwiches are amazing! My uncle used to take me and my cousin to the OG location, on Allen Pakwy, and it was a gem! Recently I had an encounter with the GM Sean McGrath...I asked him where I could purchase something they had in the store and he gave it to me! ....and on top of that, free of charge...Super generous and kind. Saved me a lot of time and I didn't have time to wait for Amazon delivery since my party was the next day.

I have been "needing" a good shrimp poboy for a few weeks. Turned out that this was the right place to meet that hunger. Delicious sandwich, a generous supply of fries and a drink to wash it down checked all the boxes. Nite that while a drive-through option is available, one cannot order until you reach the pickup window. If others are already in line, you might find it faster to pull into a space, call in an order, then shift to one of the three curbside pickup slots.

Went there for first time and after one bite of the cheesesteak sandwich I knew it was going to be on heavy rotation of places to eat. Sad that I hadn't tried it before and I have passed the place hundred of times. The location is awkward and the parking is not great. But if you can get there it is well worth it.

I get their super original sub, at Kroger. It's like the sandwich is bursting with flavor! Good amount of meats on it and cheese! Could use more Chow Chow but, it's still VERY tasty sub. On sale for 5.99 it's also available for EBT purchase! Great job guys!

I have been eating Antone's sandwiches since I was a little girl. I moved away several years ago and unfortunately the cravings for these luscious sandwiches does not go away. During a visit back to Houston this past Easter I got to introduce my family to the delectable treat that is Antone's.

Have been coming here for years! I went today for a cup of their famous gumbo only to find out they all of the sudden started measuring the pours. The man I spoke to on the phone said if you order a cup, they measure 4 ounces... a cup is 8 ounces. Needless to say, there's no way I received 8 ounces of gumbo. I advised that they need to write the ounces on the sign I guess, if you are going to implement something new, or accurately pour the servings.

I have been in the neighborhood for about 3 years (Houston almost 30 yrs) and never had occasion to go here. Forget what you know about the pre prepared sandwiches at your local bodega. This place is very good! I had a Shrimp po boy on a Lent Friday and it was awesome. The bread is perfect po boy bread. I will be back!

Have not been here in awhile. I was craving a muffuletta. Bread was very fresh. The olive relish was a little spicier than I remember. I was not disappointed. $10 for a whole muffuletta is a good price compared to other restaurants. It was nice and clean inside restaurant. If you are a regular, they bent over backward for you. I did not feel the love with the customer service.

Try the New Orleans style roast beef, Delicious! Good service and a nice facility, even though parking can be a bit tricky during a busy lunch hour by Houston standards. It's worth the hassle for good quality at a reasonable price.

This location is a true Original when Exxon Brookhollow was at 290 & Dacoma. When you get a craving for an Antone's sandwich you can find them in the grocery stores too! Delicious!

The only thing I think they could improve on is get a better drive threw speaker and larger covers for the speaker and window for when it rains....your in Houston you should be more prepared for the rain

Sandwiches are ok and cheap. Stay away from the stuffed jalapeños.. the last few times I've gotten them they have been at least a little fuzzy.. yech. Don't go there much anymore since they got rid of their nature boy sandwhich.

This is a very cool sandwich shop but not only has sandwiches but gumbo is very good not to many great sandwich shops that have a variety of foods.
