This has become one of my favorite places to grab a sandwich. The bread taste great, ingredients are fresh, the desserts look too good(haven’t tried them just yet) If you are looking for a better alternative than Subway I feel this is a great choice to try and see if it fits your pallet. I love the Turkey Avocado sandwich, I appreciate the macros being available if you look up their website for food tracking. The sandwiches go through an oven vs a convection oven at Subway.

This is the best location with their amazing sandwiches and excellent customer service! I absolutely love their turkey sandwich. It is always toasted perfectly. A little light on the toppings needed a bit more mayo only because I like alot!

This was my first time eating at Potbelly and I felt the experience was overall good. It was a quick and easy process and the workers were very tentative and fast. I ordered “A Wreck” sub with bacon and it turned out really good. Would definitely go back but it’s a little on the pricey if you make it a combo.

Stopped in today for the first time for lunch with some co-workers. Lively atmosphere and decor. I ordered the large A Wreck, I was on the fence between this and the Italian, but very happy with my choice and will save the Italian for a future trip. However, I was a little disappointed about the Jalapeno chips, as they were not very spicy. Don't be like me walking around on the street looking the fool for the entrance door. You have to enter through the Equitable building.

The service is excellent. The staff is polite and friendly even when the restaurant is busy.. The staff is especially helpful with accessibility problems from the limitations of the building like limited automatic doors. I use a wheelchair so accessibility matters to me. The sandwiches are good, but basic. The limited add on options are disappointing. I always add more vegetables or spices when I get the sandwiches home. I would love to see more choices for add on options. I would have given five stars if there were more options to customize the sandwiches. I haven't tried delivery yet because the app tells me that it's not an option. The restaurant staff assures me that they would be happy to deliver during business hours.

Easy walk from here to Wells Fargo Arena. I got the uptown salad and broccoli cheddar soup. Both were scrumptious. The salad was HUGE so I shared it. I also got a mixed berry smoothie. So good! I prefer thicker smoothie and since they make theirs with Frozen yogurt it was perfect!

Lived right next to this Potbelly’s for over 4 years now. Absolutely love this place. Extremely easy to order on the app and just walk in and pick it up in 15 minutes or scheduled for whenever you want. Thank god downtown Des Moines has this Potbelly’s.

I come to this location for lunch on a daily basis. The sandwiches are the best I have ate at any other sub-sandwitch establishment. What makes this place really great though is the staff. I am always kindly greeted and always feel welcome. You all are fantastic!!

1/11/22 I ordered delivery by door dash. I ordered the Wreck original sandwich with double meat which included roast beef, ham, turkey and salami. Quality of meat was good. I always order double meat because I want than just bread for a sandwich. You do have to add your topping on the order or it will come plain. I like that option. The ends of my bread was soggy. I also ordered a strawberry shake, it was average but definitely not worth the money.

My daughter and I stopped into Potbelly on Saturday around 12:30. Nate waited on us and he described the menu options and the different choices available for bread. He made the ordering process super simple which was nice because it's fairly extensive and we had never been there before. The sandwiches were awesome and we will definitely be going back. Nate was great and the facility was also very clean. 10/10 would recommend.

Checked this place out on a whim when we walked past it. Being from out of town we didn't know where to grab food and this was an awesome choice! They were super busy when we got there, but the line moved super quick. Employees weren't rushing customers and I didn't see a single mistaken order the whole time we were there. Employees were very friendly and didn't make any customers wait for in-store or pick-up orders. Sandwich was awesome and they had a good drinks and chips selection. We were all impressed by the food and service and would highly recommend it!

This was my first visit to a potbelly so didnt know what to expect. Their sandwiches were very good, fast service, they had a lot of additional options, 3 types of soups, salads etc I would say a little more upscale than your average Subway or Jimmy Johns. Pricing was as expected.

Delicious and fresh. Well staffed to handle the HUGE lunch crowd. Very long line moves quite fast. Only complaint is not enough tables. You have to get lucky and find a seat just as someone's leaving. But, there's no room for more tables? So if you're going to take out then this is the place to try at least once a week. And it's accessible from the Skywalk so you can go to lunch without having to take a coat!

Had half sandwich and soup. Prime rib and chili. Both were excellent. Like the convenience of the skywalk access but wish they had a bigger place. Limited seating and kind of cramped. Will definitely go back.

Great food. Great service. Some people need to understand with good fresh prepared food... You have to watch it be made while you wait anfew extra minutes. A few extra minutes vs fast food for such great sandwiches .... 💯% worth it!!! Soups , cookies and salads are great too!! So close to 5 .. 4.95... had to give em a 5***** all the way!!

Great Customer Service BUT they forgot my bacon and my red onion on my Farmhouse Salad. I'm one of those easy "everything on it" customers and it was a total bummer b/c I ordered that salad primarily for the bacon!! Now I'm too busy at work to go back and get the bacon, so here i sit writing a quick one minute review. Pleeeeease don't forget the bacon on an Iowa Girl's salad next time!

Love their food! Staff is nice EXCEPT for the heavy man by the shakes. I just witnessed the way he treated some guests as well as another instance of rudeness from him . Send him to customer service class!! He is just too rude to be up front with your customers.

Italian Original - 4/5 I ordered this on the house bread with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, deli mustard and mayo. It was delicious and filling! Honestly, it was so filling as is that I was only able to finish half! All in all, I would definitely come back and I hope that they start to have a little more of an extensive menu like other cities have so we can try their other varieties! Thank you for finally opening one up in Des Moines! Looking forward to your West Des Moines location so I can get one closer to my house.

Got there and was concerned about the long line, however they kept the line moving quickly and I had my food a lot faster than expected. My sandwich was amazing and I will be back to try another one of their creations.

This is a busy place over the lunch hour. Parking is difficult but the sandwichs are solid. I ordered a Cuban, my adult children had the chicken mediterranean (one flatbread, one multigrain). The flatbread sandwich was not as great. Staff is efficient but of very few words. Overall, good sandwich but likely will not go back and spend 20 minutes searching for a place to park and fight the lunch crowd.

Potbellies has some delicious food and has become a lunchtime staple for me. However, it's very important to order online if you're planning to go around lunch time and don't have 45 minutes to kill. Their lines can get out of hand. The best option I've found is to order online and pick it up when I'm able. That cuts the wait from 20 minutes to about 5.

Great spot, but terrible hours for a downtown shop. Not all who live/work downtown do the normal 9-5 plus there's signs all over the window saying open for breakfast yet they are closed until 11 am on weekends. Please fix your hours ☹️

I was hired at this place showed up twice for my first day neither one ended up as an actual work day and in my third first day had some car and parking issues cuz they have zero parking for anyone and the manager called me undeapendable and said it was not going to work out never tried the food so can't say anything about the food
