I was at Vision for Less around lunch time so I asked what is good around close by. She said Firehouse has been excellent when she went. It was a few doors East so I gave them try. Mind you I’ve had subway and Jimmy John’s and they have about ruined me eating sub sandwiches. Firehouse isn’t a cheap date but you’ll forget what it cost at your first bite! I had the small brisket and cheddar sub and oh my, my! What an awesome flavor. I think I have found a new sub shop for myself!

Great service, food was delicious. I'm not. Coke drinker but love the machine with all the different pops. Love that I can get in & out of here on my lunch hour with no issues.

I haven't gone to a Firehouse Subs in quite some time but this location was great. The gentlemen working were both really nice and easy to talk to. They were quick and the sub was fantastic. Definitely coming back if I have a craving again!

It was a long wait to get my sandwich and it was over $9 for just a 5- or 6-inch Philly sandwich, no drink or sides. The meat was pretty good but the bread wasn’t toasted, just soft. It was not worth the price. Good grief.

Pulled up and thought they were closed. Lights off, chairs on tables, and open sign off. Googled the hours said closed at 9. Door was unlocked although lights and open sign was off.

Welcomed when I walked in. They were busy only two people and handles the pressure cool and calm. Very polite and excellent food. I don’t leave many reviews however I felt compelled. Great job to the district manager working this day.

Got 5 different sandwiches, chili and their potato soup. The bread has been better, this time the bread was a little hard and seemed old. Been here countless times and based on previous experiences, will definitely be back.

These guys have a great sub, one of the best in the business. The issue is under staffing and inattention. 30 minute wait for one simple sandwich on Tue evening at 6:30pm. I will probably actually go back but only when I have lots of time to burn. I saw customers giving up and just leaving without getting their food, half the orders that came out were wrong, and parties of 4 were served with wide delays between each sandwich. I hope these guys can get it together, just getting workers to come out of the back room and help with preparation would be a start. The chocolate chip cookies are tasty. Update 3/21/17 Returned after long absence. Service time much better but it's due to very low traffic now. Most tables dirty and no cookies. It's a pity investors throw these stores up and then ignore operations, this could be a busy successful location.

Came in tonight with my family and they had forgotten my mushrooms on my sandwich. I let the lady know and she apologized and asked me if I wanted her to remake it, I said no it’s okay I was too hungry to wait for another. Few minutes later Sadie came up and refunded me my money, I told her no I was okay it was not a big deal and she said to take the refund since it was a mess up and apologized again. Now that is great customer service!!! We love firehouse and come all the way from Waukee just to eat here! Very happy with tonight’s visit. Thank you guys!

Amazing! I'm a first time customer and I can tell you, I will never look at subway the same way again, now that I have found firehouse subs!! Amazing customer service, really nice employees (at least at the one I went to). The subs are huge, juicy and fresh sliced right their. Also, first sub I had to eat with a fork and knife. Cool thing is, their a nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to the first responders! They buy their pickles in huge tubes and when empty, they put them out for you to buy and that money goes to the first responders as well. My sister has three of them!

i’ve always loved firehouse, but one thing has always stuck out to me. the employee attitude and service is amazing. today they gave me a free chips and drink with my sub, and it really made my day. they always seem like they enjoy what they do

Good manager. Friendly employees. Service is sometimes slow, but that can be attributed to the short staff and new employees, and these are hot subs it is obviously going to be slower than your average sub joint. . Regular growing pains. Better and faster everyday tho. Definitely give it a try.

I got a large new york steamer and it was quite possibly the best NYS I've gotten from any firehouse subs ever. It was sliced perfectly. Maybe a bit too much sauce but otherwise absolutely delicious.

Better than my usual haunts of Subway, Quiznos and Pickermans, I had the small Hook and Ladder sub with chips. Fresh, very tasty, this is now my favorite sub sandwich joint. And thanks to the friendly staff for reviewing the menu for this newcomer!!

I enjoy Firehouse Subs very much. The selection of hot sauces makes me very happy. Few places have sauces that are hot enough for me but Firehouse does. Their subs are really good as well as their chili. Service is quick and friendly.

Firehouse subs was okay. My buddy took me here because he swears by it. I think I got the wrong seasonings for the wrong sandwich, which in turn made this place a three stars. It's not that the food's not good or they're not clean or any of that. It's just wrong seasons on wrong subs. Definitely get Firehouse to try
