Oh my this is the place!!! Amaizing dishes served up fast but can tell it was cooked slow. great seasoning and the bread is on crack level of good!!!

My sister and I visited for lunch before a concert this past Sunday and yum! My dad found it via google for us as we came to town early on a whim. I'm usually not fond of local cajun restaurants because it doesn't compare to my Louisiana grandma's home cooking. However this place definitely changed my mind. She got the chili cheese crawfish etoufee and I got half/half of drunken chicken and red beans&sausage.

I love coming here. The food is absolutely delicious, you get good portions for the price. I recommend the Chili Cheese etouffee. The bread is awesome, a little salty, but irresistible. You'll love their food so much, this will easily become your new favorite place to eat. For those that want to know: the place is clean and there's plenty of seating. The bathrooms are clean and smell good. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking across the street. I'll definitely be coming back.

Deliciously seasoned comfort food. Ordering from here is always a treat. The staff is also incredibly kind and friendly. It’s hard to pick just 1-2 things off the menu so we usually end up ordering several different entrees and they’re always delicious. We had to wait an extra minute or 2 for our pickup order the other day and the woman working apologized several times and threw in some extra bread for us, which was above and beyond.

Fantastic experience! So much flavor, so little time. Every single bite was packed with flavor. I had the drunken chicken and the red beans with sausage and loved every minute of it. Oh and the bread… that bread is so good - I highly recommend getting those extra pieces with the combo. If you haven’t been, you need to!

Yats was amazing. In Cincy, we have a chain called J. Gumbos and it doesn't hold a candle to Yats. The drunken chicken was amazing and the white chicken chilli was good. Get extra bread, it has an awesome Cajun butter on it. Also voodoo chips rule. 10/10 would recommend.

At first I was disappointed by there being only one vegan dish despite other reviews implying more, but the white bean chili was very good. The beans and rice were perfectly cooked and the flavor was not too spicy upfront before sauces. My wife liked the drunken chicken too. The bread as good was very salty. I confirmed that thy use a soybean based oil instead of butter for all bread. I liked the decor. Beads hanging off everything and New Orleans themed paintings helped set the mood and made us want to plan a trip there.

The people here are always friendly and service is quick and efficient. The food is excellent! You can make two meals out of one serving for about 10 bucks. They do have gluten-free and vegan options. The place is BYOB but they do have some sodas and iced tea in-house. Sometimes they have dessert as well. My favorite is the Crawfish and chili cheese etouffee. It's really creamy and delicious with a little bit of spice but nothing too crazy. It's very flavorful! Sometimes I like to add sausage to it. They're gumbo is one of my husband's favorites.

One of my favorite places to eat. I usually get it to go. If you do have a to go order, I recommend ordering in person. They are usually very quick, you get the rewards on the fivestar app, and they don't have to pay the outrageous fees that Doordash charges. The prices are good, so once I realized the fees they charge Yats, I just order in person.

Great food, very quick service. The highlight is that the food is quite homely, and doesn't taste like it's made by some fast food joint. The variety of sauces and seasoning options are also great. The option to mix and match dishes and main course is also worth trying. Recommended for lunch and dinner.

Wonderful Cajun style food with right amount of Spices enough to fill your Taste buds. NOLA themed Restaurant will sure remind you of that NOLA style food, if u had tasted it earlier anywhere. You can ask for multiple samples before you can make your orders as everything comes on a Bed of Rice and Cajun spices dripped French Bread. Plenty of Parking space in the Lot opposite to it.

I love Yats for their portion sizes, tastes, and price! You get a lot of flavor for not a lot of bucks. You can order a full size of a dish, or a half size, or do half and half of two entrees. When you come, check in for extra garlic bread, I love it! I recommend their Drunken Chicken and Chicken Maque Choux! My friends also like their Chili Cheese with Crawfish. You can also ask to sample any of their dishes. They're all flavorful, bold, and delicious. They have an assortment of hot sauces you can try too. Staff is very friendly and they were accommodating! There's plenty of room inside for a small group, but parking can be limited with street parking and private parking. I recommend coming here for a bit for lunch, casual dinner, or if you're craving Cajun/Creole food. By the way, there's no WiFi here! There are plenty of other shops and businesses around this restaurant that you can walk around to, it's a pretty nice area.

Picked up carry out. Ordered from my phone and drove from north campus to the restaurant to find my food already done! Easy in and out. We ordered two of the 1/2 and 1/2: Caribbean jerk etouffee, Chicken maque choux, Chili cheese etoufee with crawfish, and Drunken chicken. All were outstanding. We also got the blackberry lemonade and blueberry basil lemonade, they were just okay BUT came in cute ball mason jars for us to keep! I will definitely be back to get more food.

My first visit was great. The Drunken Chicken was a popular item ordered by various patrons, including myself. The owner is friendly, helpful, and remembers people by name. There is a garlic hot sauce available to make you ask for more bread (which is amazing as well). Bring your friends! You will not be disappointed. Don't say no, because it "sounds" spicy. YATS has something for everyone.

We love this place! We discovered it in Indianapolis several years back and fell in love. So glad there is now one in Ohio. It's two hours away from home, but we'll stop anytime we pass through. The chili cheese etouffee is one of my most favorite dishes in all of food! Definitely give this a try of you're in the area!

This food is so flavorful and fun, out of this world goodness. Got the pick-two with chili cheese etouffee and gumbo; both are phenomenal independently and even more insane when mixed together. The bread they provide with the meal is perfect too, buttery and tasty, great to load up with your food.

Got to try samples before ordering and ended up going with the red bean and sausage meal. Food for a table of 4 was delivered less than 5 minutes from when it was ordered at the counter. Really good flavor and perfect portion size for lunch. Bread was awesome, too. I also really enjoyed the garlic hot sauce that was part of the collection of sauces on the table. Yum! The cleanliness of the restaurant stood out as well. 👌

I never had cajun food before, so I ordered a crawfish etouffee and chicken maque choux. Probably should've gone with the drunken chicken that other people were recommending. Crawfish etouffee was bland, and the chicken maque choux at least tasted like sweet corn. The peanut butter pie was pretty disappointing. It wasn't fluffy like I was expecting from the image on their menu, and there wasn't any whipped cream as shown on the picture in their menu. It was still good because it's a bunch of sugar and peanut butter but very rich and only needed a couple of bites. The bread is fantastic, and the service was quick and the cost was fair. Maybe they had an off day or something, but there was no soul in what I ate today.

I enjoyed my meal. It was nice to try something new and the food was delicious. The woman working there kept me company while I waited for a friend I was supposed to meet. Our conversation was pleasant and she was very knowledgeable about the food. I tried their coffee too. It was strong and smooth. Appearantly people haven't ordered their coffee much recently, if you visit and you enjoy coffee as I described it give it a try!

Good every single time. The crawfish etoufee is my favorite, and the red beans and rice is a close second. And that bread? My god, I'm pretty sure the bread alone is responsible for at least five pounds of my weight, and let me tell you, it's worth it. Stopped in tonight just before the storm, and they not only didn't mind us waiting out the rain before we left, but gave us a few beignets while we waited. They also helped someone out by having them bring their car around so they didn't have to attempt taking a bag of food out into a torrential downpour. That kind of service just never happens these days ❤️

I was introduced to Yats just yesterday and I am very upset I didn't know about them sooner. It's surprising to find a new favorite restaurant during a pandemic, however Yats is worth the trip out of the house. The food was amazing and the variety was astounding. I was torn on what to order and they were quick to let me know that I did not have to choose as a half order of each would be easy enough to do. I loved every bite of my Drunken Chicken and Spinach and Mushroom Etuffee. The dishes came to the table (first time I have sat in a restaurant in over a year and I felt safe and comfortable the whole time) quickly and the waiter provided an extended list of hot sauces and seasonings since everyone at our table was craving SPICE. There was nothing that could have made my visit any better.

A local favorite. I have never written a review about a restaurant, good or bad, but this place is one to write home about. Jason is an exceptional guy dishing out some dank grub. The atmosphere is laid back and not overly trendy like so many places popping up around town. Not only do they have a unique look, they have unique food to go along with it. This is a gem among the rest of the food options in Grandview. My personal favorite is the Drunken Chicken, but they have plenty of other delicious options. My vegetarian friends left impressed as well when they saw how accommodating this place was with their diet. So do yourself a favor and make Yats the next place you go to get a delicious plate of food in a warm, comforting environment. Keep up the great work Jason and company!!

I recently tried Yats for the first time last week, and all I have to say is WOW!!! It’s truly the best authentic New Orleans style food I’ve tasted. There food doesn’t look appetizing but it has amazing texture and full of flavor. Every dish is served over rice and garlic toast on the side. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. One of my new favorite spots in Columbus, Ohio. It’s well worth giving a try.

Food was excellent and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. I love the fact you can get a plate with a half order each of two different dishes. And that bread....that stuff will set you free! The portion sizes are perfect and the price is very reasonable. They do have a good beer selection, but no wine (the only reason for four stars and not five)

I've only been here once so far, but I can definitely see this rating creeping up to a 5 one day. Exceptional service and really tasty food. I especially appreciate the option of getting half-and-half of two different dishes; makes it much easier to try everything on the menu. Update after a second visit: If I didn't work and live so far away I could see myself eating here like once a week. Keep it up!

Never had creole food before until I had Yats. Not only is it full of flavor, but a full plate. The will drench a bed of rice in any entree you order. The chorizo and drunken chicken are my favorite! I wish I could remember the name of the little desserts because those were the best! And that's just the food. The customer service is great and all the staff are the sweetest people. One of the best places to get Cajun food in Columbus! Food is super fast to come out and always fresh and delicious. They have a good variety of choices and always a vegetarian and vegan option. Mushroom spinach curry is the best but if you can't decide they offer half and half bowls, where you can pick two dishes and have half portions of both. Long style dining and comfy. For a guy who likes his food on the bland side, it surprises me i like Yats as much as i do. They do an amazing job on the food (Drunken Chicken is my go-to, with cheese and onions...but the crawfish etouffee is another great choice), the atmosphere and space are really cool, and the beverage selection is awesome with craft beer on tap. Never had less than excellent interaction with any staff, to boot.

The prices are decent for the amount of food you get, but I feel like they are a bit on the high side. Other than that, it's a great place for a quick meal and if you check in on Yelp then they will give you extra bread for free!

Yats didn't cause me any splats if ya know what I mean. Solid Creole food cooked by a super nice, chatty dude. He was super helpful in suggesting what to order. It all came out quickly. I went with the etoufee and gumbo. Everything is served over rice and that is extra nice.

Yats literally never disappoints. Some of the best food I've ever had. Their bread is amazing and so is the Crawfish etouffee. They have great portions and I like that they have compostable bowls. Atmosphere is fun and friendly. Love the extra hot sauces that they offer and their chips. I could eat their bread every day.

Food was ok. Had the drunken chicken which I was told was their most popular and also tried the gumbo (2 entrees and 2 beers for $22). Food came out in less than 2 minutes and tasted like it had been sitting around back their for a while, and not overly impressed with the flavor. They have 4 drinks on tap with a few bottle options. I was there on a Friday at 7pm and there were only 2 other people there.

The best creole in the city. I would of had a picture, but it smelled ....so good I tasted one bite and couldn't stop. Not to worry I will be back. I wish they had bourbon chicken. The only reason for the 4 star. The drunken chicken was what I had. You know it was good. My brother made him a sampler plate with jambalaya, red beans and rice, and gumbo. I'll just say his take home box only included a spoonful of each.

This is our go to for a quick bite. They always have gluten free and dairy free options on the menu. I totally appreciate the daily specials and their willingness to let you sample anything you want. Fast friendly service and an amazing variety of hot sauces. If you want something hotter than what's out, just ask, they keep the food stuff in back so no one gets a hold of it by accident lol

DRUNKEN CHICKEN. EXTRA TOAST! seriously try it! This restaurant is amazing! Make sure to get there early because they sell out quick and only make an estimated amount! They will run out! Plenty of vegan and gluten-free options here. As a vegetarian, I usually feel like my food is usually less tasty than the non-vegetarian stuff on the menu. Here, I feel like my food is just as good. Great place with great prices. The food is always quick and delicious. :)

This was utterly delicious!! I ordered the chili cheese etoufffee with crawfish and I don't think I've enjoyed food so much. I ordered my food close to closing so I got the bottom rice. Some of it was a little hard and I think there could be a bit more crawfish in the dish but I was not disappointed. The portion was smaller compared to traditional American meals but still very filling. For my first experience I was definitely impressed and look forward to coming back to try other meals.

Pretty good. My wife and I had red beans and rice with extra sausage, vegetarian mushroom and spinach etouffee, and the daily special that was maque choux, which is a milk steamed curry of sorts. Very flavorful, the sauce selections at the table we excellent, big portions, home cooked feel. Menu is fairly limited and everything is served with a delicious crispy and seasoned bread. Another great thing about Yats Grandview is that you can sample most, maybe even all of the dishes before ordering. Leftovers reheated very well.

The very BEST Cajan/Creole Cuisine, of it's type, I've encountered in Columbus, Ohio. I've been hooked on this place for about three years, and I come back for more, once or twice a week. Jason and his super friendly staff get the food on the counter in less than five minutes. The price is right, Cold beer and Hot, hot sauce if you want it. A Quiet, dark, and intimate place to relax. Highly recommended !

Yats Grandview serves absolutely delicious food that has been variously described as "New Orleans," "cajun" and "creole." I often eat there when I am in the area. My favorite item on their menu is Drunken Chicken: "shredded chicken, olive oil, garlic, crushed red pepper, beer, and bread crumbs," served on a bed of rice. I would like to try other items on their menu but I order Drunken Chicken each time because it is so delicious. The service at Yats Grandview is extremely fast. You order the item and they bring it to your table within two or three minutes. But in spite of their great speed in serving, the food always tastes like it has been cooking for many hours. And their food is always served with extremely delicious garlic bread that would be worth the visit all by itself.

Drunken chicken, etoufee, gumbo, white chili...AND THE BREAD IS TO DIE FOR! Don't know what the spread on the bread is, but trust me, order extra bread, you won't be disappointed!

Ordered the Drunken Chicken and Jambalaya when I went and it was absolutely delicious. I would highly suggest ordering extra bread too bc it's amazing on its own and dipped in your food. Service was incredibly fast too.

We come here every weekend and get the pick two. My only complaint is that I wish this restaurant was in a more convenient location. Parking can be tricky and getting here is a bit of a headache even though it's less than a mile from my house. Beware of pedestrians who will run out in the middle of your car without looking.

My wife and I fell in love with Yats when we were living in Columbus, Indiana over three years ago. It was the restaurant we missed most moving back to Ohio. Then one day we were walking in Grandview saw the familiar sign. Since then Yats Grandview has been a staple for us when we choose to dine out. It was actually the first meal we ate in our house the day we moved in. The food is amazing and Jason and his staff/family are spectacular. We love this Yats even more than our old favorite in Indiana. Fast, friendly and always dishing out great food. Our favorite is the Druken Chicken but you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you haven't tried them out yet do so and have a local draft beer while you're at it!

Also, enjoy the variety of hot sauce containers they have on stock: my favorite is Krystal (Louisiana hot sauce, it has a non-vinegar taste that beats Frank's anyday.) If you are in the area or live close, such as OSU campus, check them out! I also encourage you to check out their catering packages. Yats is great if you're looking for a hearty and comforting meal which may or may not put you in danger of falling asleep at your desk afterwards. I really like the option to get two half entrees. I usually get the half mushroom spinach etoufee and half chilli cheese etoufee, both are quite tasty. My coworkers also speak very highly of the drunken chicken. Entrees are also served with the most delicious garlic butter toast you could imagine.
