I’ve tried multiple different sandwiches here and every single one of them slapped. The roast beef is my favorite so far. The 9” subs I could eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day. Portions are great, they’ve always been on time and ready for pick up when ordered. This is a solid sandwich shop.

Phenomenal Roast Beef sandwich, the very best I’ve ever had! I get it on the French Bread with provolone cheese and have to go at least once a week to get one! Friendly staff as well, I highly recommend!

Ok the sandwiches are soooo weak!!! I got like 2 slices of deli meat and a slice of cheese with hard bread. I don’t think I’ll ever get a sandwich here again haha. I think I’ve had their vegetarian one and it tastes pretty good. But their Italian one was like the weakest sandwich. Vibes are 12/10, sandwich is 3/10

We ordered the west sider sandwich and the turkey club sandwich. I got pasta salad as my side and my boyfriend got potato salad. Can’t complain about one aspect, everything was amazing. We got delivery and the sandwiches were still good after the little wait till we got them! My boyfriend said he liked my sandwich better, the turkey club. I agree it was on great fluffy bread with quality ingredients. We can’t wait to get the sandwiches again. 10/10 recommend. I do wish the sides would have been bigger, but they came with the sandwich so we didn’t pay extra for them so I’m not upset.

This place is really a 4.25-50 sandwich shop. I've visited 2-3X as this is a great sandwich shop and it is convenient for me to stop by. I was with 2 co-workers and the sandwiches were great. They have some great beers on tap, and they share a door with a liquor store. The problem really is that they sandwiches have varied lately from visit to visit as far as the amount of meat on the delish sandwich. Also, the service is very inconsistent too. Sometimes it is great, and sometimes it is indifferent. This last time it was all great, the service, the sandwiches, and the vibe was awesome. Hopefully, they get it all straight, because if they do, they could be one of the best sandwich shops in Chitown.

The reviews here hold true! This place is wonderful for sandwiches! You can’t go wrong with getting something from here. If you’re thinking about getting something from here go for it! I would recommend the West Sider Sandwich from here. The meats are very good and the bread is wonderful.

Its a sandwich shop with draft beer connected to a liquor store. Stopped in to grab a sandwich after hanging out in the park. Nice little place for lunch and a drink next to Humboldt Park. I had the Westsider. Sandwich was great! They get bread in fresh everyday. The beer is priced higher than id expect.

Had a similar experience as Paul. Good tasting sandwich but not great value for the price. For an $11 sandwich + tip (total cost for mine was $13) the portions should be bigger. Pretty disappointed overall.

Omg DELICIOUS! I was in the area for an appointment and was Hangry. Im not super familiar with the Humboldt area and stumbled upon this place. It's a sandwich place but I don't eat bread. I know, I know but they hooked it up! I got double meat and all the fixings in a platter/ bowl. So good!

I only order turkey and I've absolutely loved their turkey sandwich and have been a loyal customer for years until my recent experience in which i noticed immediately after taking my first bite that they changed brands for their turkeymeat. The latest turkey is unusually much thicker than before and it has an overall, very generic taste to it which takes away from how good the sandwich was before the company started adding the latest turkey meat.i hope that they decide to go with the prior turkey breast slices that they offered before their current situation...please and thanks!

My boyfriend highly recommended this place so of course I had to order some delivery on a weeknight after a long and busy week. It was difficult to decide which sandwich I wanted and he mentioned that many people he knew liked the west sider, so of course I had to give that one a try. We both ordered that sandwich and when I also saw that there was a peanut butter snickers pie, I figured that wouldn’t hurt to try either. :) Delivery was fast and the sandwiches arrived wrapped carefully. Every ingredient tasted fresh, sprouts were crisp, and bread was perfectly fluffy! We’ve been doing everything in our power not to completely devour the pie in one sitting because it’s so delicious. I wondered if it would actually be a little *too* rich because of all the ingredients being so sweet, but surprisingly the combination of these ingredients really make for a unique and not overly sweet dessert. But I would still recommend some milk just to enjoy the pie that much more!

Any rating under five stars in honestly just wrong. I’ve tried many of their sandwiches and every one could be described as “ the gas pack”. Not only does it taste amazing but you can literally throw the garlic Mayo on any of em and it makes the thing even more better somehow. 11/10 recommend definitely don’t sleep on this place

I never do online reviews, but thought this place deserved one. This place looks a little sketchy from the outside, but the subs were great. The service was nice and it was a great value. I had the Italian and their beast. I put 1/2 it in the fridge and was surprised that even a day after it was still so good. Love the bread they use. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer. What a great find!

Always love their food and they have such great prices on beer, then today we stopped for a drink with the dogs on a walk through the park and they brought out a big bowl of water for them, it was so nice to enjoy a beer outside knowing the pups got a good drink before we headed home! We were happy to support them before, during and after the pandemic, thank you guys for being a part of the neighborhood!

Yummmmmm! I love a good sub. Their bread is dream worthy… toppings are laid on thick, giardinera is on point chicago style proper Dirty brand chips. Ohh!!! They are also a full bar attached to a liquor / mini mart 👍🏽

I ordered a turkey club sandwich for delivery and received a plastic grocery bag of potato chips. I tried calling Humboldt Haus and their line was disconnected. If you are in the mood to pay $12 for four bags of potato chips, this is the place to get your food from. HOWEVER, Colleen was quick to call and explain that the delivery service was off. She made sure the correct order came at a date/time of my choosing. I appreciated the quick and awesome customer service.

I have only tried the West Sider, had it the first time and it was so good I didn’t want to change it up. The bread is the star of the sandwich but yet it’s not. It’s soft, but a little chewy, and oh so good. The garlic mayo sauce is awesome too.

Definitely one of my top sandwich spots in the city, especially since they're open til 10pm. I usually order the West Sider w/ provolone, but everything on the menu is solid. They also have some beers on tap and a couple TVs playing sports if you feel like dining in, although seating is limited to 2-3 tables + a counter.

Bustling neighborhood bar with excellent snacks and tasty local brews! The Beast sandwich I had was delish and what a great choice of name! The craft unfiltered lager I had was delicious! Check out the $10 special! A half sandwich and your choice of chips, your choice of a side salad, a shot of whiskey PLUS a beer! You can't beat that with a stick!

I got a 9” Italian. Meat and condiments were delicious, the bread was stale when I got it. Without the good bread this made it a subpar sandwich. Would rather have gotten jersey mikes. I will return again and see if the bread is better as I am not sure if this is how it always is. In my opinion, the bread can make or break a good sandwich.

Not to mention you can try out many of the beers in the attached sandwich shop and bar (which makes some pretty awesome sandwiches). This place carriers many of the beers you cant get at other places and does a great job representing the Chicago craft beer scene.

5 stars for the liquor store, like 2 for the sandwich shop. Sandwiches: I don't really like vegetables, so I expect my sandwiches to be pretty meat heavy. I got a $6 sandwich here and there were only 2-3 slices of meat on it. And $2 extra to add more meat! Not cool. I considered that a total waste of money. The liquor store is cool, though. I like the wine section. I sometimes go out of my way to come here instead of the liquor store closest to me so I can get South African wine.

It's a cool place but it doesn't have to bend over backwards showing off how cool it is, which is refreshing after spending a lot of time on Milwaukee ave.

UPDATE!!! They now have hot sammiches! They are made on individual round focaccia bread. It is a different selection of sammiches, but the garlic mayo is still perfect. Sandwich came out hot and crispy bread with gooey cheese. Fantastic update to the menu. Not currently available for delivery so does not show on web menus. Great neighborhood liquor store, sandwich shop, and bar combo. Yeah, they really do have it all. Excellent craft beer selection in the store to go with a solid draft list at the bar. Update on beer list too:. They have been curating am amazing hyper local craft beer list. They have kegs from Marz, Maplewood, Hop Butcher, Une Anne, Middlebrow, Hopewell, On Tour, Dovetail, Prarie Kraft, Short fuse, and others. You want Haze? Come and get it here.
