These pictures do not do Corner Bakery justice. The food here is amazing - and so are the staff! I order pickup from here often and have always had a wonderful experience. The employees at this location, especially Carol and everyone on the morning staff on the weekends, are truly exceptional, kind, and hardworking. For online ordering - the ordering process is smooth, pickup is timely. For in person ordering - you can’t go wrong with speaking to the staff members here and asking questions or getting any support you need with your order. And the food? Delicious. I personally really love the tomato soup, it always hits the spot, and their BLT breakfast sandwich is underrated. Next time you’re in the Corner bakery (and especially if you see Carol) - you’re bound to have a great experience and some great food coming your way.

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had the Mac & Cheese Entree with garlic bread and the garlic bread was better than the Mac & Cheese which was very out of a box basic, even with the bacon added to it. Was really hopeful of it being better but let me down.

My friends and I came here after walking around all the city all morning and we were met with reasonable prices, delicious food, and amazingly kind staff. This review is for two excellent staff members...no name tags, but the gentleman bringing the food to the tables went above and beyond to make patrons feel welcome. And the tall lady with twisted hair really took charge of the overcrowding situation and was loudly explaining to the crowd what to do to keep the bathroom and food lines moving quickly. If I owned a business, I would hire them in a second.

Counter serve soup, sandwich (hot panini type and cold) and salad place. Order at the counter, they deliver to your table. Breakfast items. At peak lunch and dinner time, it gets busy. Take out or eat in. Small dining area. Good service. Some of the sandwiches look a bit flimsy.

The food was good, although my salad was missing the cheese. Tea was top notch. Service, however, was lacking. Cashier was not friendly in the least. Prices were too high and the restrooms were disgusting. I’d probably choose a different CB location over this one.

I didn't get pictures, but they had shut down breakfast because they ran out of eggs. Literally as we walked in the door, I was sooo mad. I kind of angrily asked I can't even get pancakes. It was nothing else on there menu that was a fix for breakfast. They smiled and said let me ask, which they came back and said yes you can. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, my wife had the turkey blt sandwich thing. Which she was speechless, dancing and wiggling so much the manager came over and said "I knew you liked your food from how you was dancing around in your seat". The guy that was handling the floor clean up and food delivery was such a kind hearted man. Very pleasant people in such a crazy city and world. I feel it's the best one downtown!!

I don’t know if the name on the receipt is correct (Carol P) but the woman (pictured below) was rude. She was clipped and curt and for literally no reason. It was like she knew me and disliked me. She treated me like a nuisance. By the way, we knew EXACTLY what we wanted, didn’t hold up the line, didn’t complain. So, what was the attitude? We said, after placing our orders that we wished we had waited for someone else to help us. I watched her interact with other customers and she was, at least, superficially friendly. 3 stars are for the incredible service by everyone else AND the great food. Would’ve been 5 had it not been for the hateful person that waited on us. Will not return.

The cashier was excellent. My order was correct and fast. The sandwich was tasty. The seating area was clean. My issue was with management. Management should praise in public, and correct in private. On this day the manager loudly corrected behavior in public. Management's behavior reduced the rating and took away a pleasant customer experience.

The lady accepting the orders is focusing more on phone rather than the customers. The priority should be always given to the people Dine In first or standing in the line. Even she forgot to give the one food item. Food was good. There was other person who was really a gentleman and asked several times to make sure I get my stuff

CBC has a good atmosphere. I placed my order, and received it within a few minutes. I liked that the salad was made fresh. The booth I sat at had a few crumbs on the table. I switched sides and ate on the clean side of the table. I would recommend eating here again for a light meal.

Went here for breakfast with a party of 6. We found seating no problem although it seems like many people who order food typically take it to go. I had a egg BLT and granola and it was great breakfast for me. Nothing about the selection or food stands out - but the food arrives fairly quickly.

My husband and were visiting from Boston and we searched on Google for some good breakfast spots near our hotel. We were staying at W Chicago City Center and our first choice was a spot right in the Riverwalk but when we went there it was jam packed. So we decided to try this place and we were so happy we did! It was still busy but not enough where you have to wait for a table. I got something simple which was Pancake and eggs but they were literally the best pancakes I've ever had. The edges had this very light crisp which made them so yummy. I love that you walk up to the counter and order your food and pay and then go pick your own seat and then the waitress will bring you your food. I am still here in Chicago and I think on my last morning here I will go back and have breakfast again..

Wait. It wasn't Panera? Edit: I was trying be humorous. Improved review from 1 to a 3 because the owner responded. That's just nice and thoughtful. But to be clear folks, it's just like any other semi-fast food sandwich shopsuper average. I suppose if the prices were a few bucks lower, then I'd say it's a deal, and it might be worth 4 or 5 stars simply for being a bargain.

A deli, small bathrooms. We came here on a Saturday with a crowd. They did well, working with the rush. The food was good if a touch extra crunchy on the paninis. The pepperoni was spicier than my picky child would eat (mild).

Chicken apple arugula sandwich is really yummy! Thought I would change the focaccia bread next time, but nope it’s too good. Make sure it’s nicely toasted. This has become my favorite Corner Bakery sandwich. I’ll be back for it, even without the coupon. Well played, CB.

The restaurant was relatively empty, but it still took over 10 minutes for soup and panini. Also had a coupon for 2 full sized entrees, when I got a cup of soup instead of the bowl and brought it to one of the employees attention, she told me I had to ask for it...although it was stated on the coupon. Also, didn't get the side item that comes along with the combo.

Great service, great coffee, great food. You cannot go wrong with a Corner Bakery stop on your way to court or city hall. Wifi is quick and the off-peak environment is usually quiet, so you can get some work done while you knock back some great coffee.

We eat here every week and it's a great place to get regular and breakfast food for breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast person but I love that you can get almost anything on their menu at anytime.

Keep making the most delicious banana muffins in the city and keep those paninis on deck and I promise this will be the most routine exchange in the city. Corner Bakery is the perfect work person's food resource, but those lines kill spirits... Most of the time the wait is not bad at all.

First time going to this Corner bakery. Staff was friendly and the wait wasnt too bad. Sadly I cannot say the same about the food. My panini was alright but the pasta just wasnt good. It was very chewy and hardly had any sauce.

I truly love Corner Bakery but I guess I had ordered something quite plain this time. I ordered the Anaheim Panini which was more like an egg sandwich. The cheese was not melted into the other ingredients and the bread was more toasted than it was supposed to be grilled into a tight fitting panini.

Corner Bakery Cafe absolutely must be a franchisee of Panera. What was on the menus, the half orders, the number system for delivering meals all down to drink choice were EXACTLY like Panera Bread. Panera is a fine choice, just don't be deceived by a different name on the building.
