The atmosphere is out there to say the least might not be for everyone! They have a ton of unique sandwich options that are overall pretty good. I ordered the Apollo 13 sandwich most recently and was surprised that the combination worked. Overall its a fun place I might go with friends on occasion.

A friend brought me here for the first time 2 days ago, and I’ve been back every day since. That should be enough of a review, haha. Sandwiches are awesome if you like a lot of flavor on your subs. The “Guillotine” sandwich is fantastic, but it doesn’t seem like you can order that one online, only in store. The veggie options are also fantastic, very full of flavor and not lacking at all. I will be a regular.

I learned of this place from Spice King on YouTube and me being a Chicago area Native I should have already known about this place. Being 420 friendly I like the concept of this place right off the bat and had to try it. I got a pinner sandwich which was really good. I got a side order of Pretzel Nugs which came warm, soft, and with an amazing dipping sauce. For desert I had a front loops mash mellow treat which was also amazing. If you are ever in the area you have the stop at the Chi’s one and only Cheba Hut and get you a sub.

I love this place! It's weed themed sub's and I can't say enough how much I love their sandwiches. Cheba doesn't disappoint! If it is your first time, try the 5-0, or the Kali Mist. My go-to is the Jamaican Red. You can also opt for a salad instead of bread, which is a good option, but if you love garlic bread, don't pass up having your sub on garlic bread. And last, but not least, give their "munchies" a try. If you have a sweet tooth, try the Goo-ball or Coco-Crisp. Honorable mention for Cap'n Crush.

The food is good but I canceled an order from them over the phone, they said they would refund me and never did. I called immediately after I placed the order, knowing I wouldn't be able to pick up the food, and the person on the line said they would refund me. Here I am still waiting for a refund, womp womp. I've opened a dispute so hopefully that goes well. Their food is good but the staff forgets things like refunding, probably due to the nature of the place. Which is fine, but, I'd like my money please!

First time trying out Cheba and it was a delight. I got their pizza sub and it was one of the best pizza style subs I’ve had. For the price and portion I was very pleased with the order as well. Service was pretty great as well with employees being welcoming as a first time customer. Will come back to try another item again

The Hot Box is a great cocktail. Served tall. Spicy with jalapeño and ginger beer. The nachos were also good and really spicy with Doritos chips and ranch on top. A perfect 420 lunch. The AK-47 (that name tho…)french dip sandwich is my favorite. Great staff fun and funny

This place is AMAZING! I drove 2 1/2 hours to try it and will do it again and again. The atmosphere is everything you want in a dine in restaurant. I wish I remembered her name (Thought it was Tessa) but she is my new family. You all are amazing. Keep smiling and serving those art pieces you call Sandwiches. I will be back in 3 weeks! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This place has great curb appeal with all of the fun colors and art on the windows. When you walk in there's even more! Art everywhere, good music and the smell of fresh bread (who doesn't love that smell!) Staff are friendly and accurate, not one thing we got was wrong and even on a 30 min drive back to go eat it was all still warm cuz they wrapped everything really well. There's so much to look at and keep you searching for more theme stuff lol! Ok now the sandwiches.....ORDER THEM ALL! I ordered the AK-47 which is a French dip just a bit different cuz they add mushrooms and garlic (yum) and the portion size was great, the smell was amazing and tasted even better. We also ordered The Bomb, which tasted like a homemade meatball sub your mom makes. I will make the hour and a half drive to visit again, highly recommend!!!! Love it!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My friend recommended cheba Hut since he's been to the ones out west. It was an awesome experience. The place is super cool looking, the food is amazing, and the staff are some of the nicest people who it seems like genuinely like their job. Super chill nice guy saw I was wearing a bandana and he gave me a cute cheba Hut one to rep 😊 I think his name was Joe. I recommend going in to eat for the nice ambiance and staff but I've also gotten them delivered a few times and the food's just as amazing!

My kids mostly, are the ones that turned me on to Cheba Hut, back in Mesa Arizona, right across the street from MCC, when we heard about this one opening in Wicker Park in Chicago we HAD to go and our sandwiches were fantastic!!! We Love Cheba Hut, and we drove from Elmhurst in the western suburbs, WELL worth it!! We will be back and often, its a clean organized beautiful restaurant, we Love Cheba Hut!!!!

This sub-restaurant is so nice. First of all, the vibe is great and the restaurant is clean. There is an outdoor seating area that looks pretty fine, but it is definitely better inside. There was a wonderful playlist of music the whole time I was there. The interior is also nice, and they have a lot of decors inside, like every single corner and every part I could see inside has décor in it. Second, they have a friendly and helpful employee. Their employees are so nice and they have good recommendations. Their menu is huge and there are a lot of choices, so a good recommendation from the restaurant's employee is really a good thing. The service is also quick. I went in there and the restaurant was so busy nonetheless, I was still able to order and eat quickly. Last but not least, the sandwiches they have are definitely so good. The sandwich is huge, and the price is reasonable. It tastes fresh and delicious, to the point that I can consider it a must-go-to spot for toasted subs. The French onion soup is also a must-get because it is full of flavor and I like it too. Overall, this restaurant is just great and highly recommended.

Did a catering order and it went really well. Packaged nicely and they called to confirm the order and pickup. We’ve done large orders at a few other Chicago spots and this was definitely the smoothest process so far. Everything was correct, labeled, and well secured. We use to go to the original Cheba and this has all the same vibes.

Good sandwiches but don't order in store or else you'll wait 20+ mins watching the staff make sandwiches that aren't yours (whole place was empty too). Don't order the French onion soup. It's not even soup. It's more like a bread pudding. Literally zero liquid in my soup. Only soggy bread.

In case you didn't know, Cheba Hut is basically a Subway for stoners (much nicer than a Subway to be fair). The people here (both patrons and employees) are pretty endearing and kind. The space is welcoming and I'm always pleasantly surprised how many people are hanging around. They have a full bar and pretty good drink specials for happy hour too. I think this spot is a pretty good addition to the neighborhood! The only thing is I wish they had more vegan options! It is possible to make a few things vegan but it is basically just veggies on bread. Would love to see some vegan proteins (and even some cheeses, but I'm not trying to be too picky).

I’m originally from Arizona and Cheba Hut was a spot all the pot heads would go too. Well, I’m not a pot head… however, I wanted something that reminded me of Arizona. I came into the division location. The young lady was SUPER RAD. The bartender asked my son what was his favorite show and while we both sat and ate he got to watch Paw Patrol. The sandwiches are literally the best thing that ever happen to me. Today, I’ll be having my cousin try it. Let’s see what he thinks…

We just had the most amazing experience here. It is my boyfriends thirty somethingth birthday and he found this place from a friend, so we took a chance. The service was exceptional and each staff member including the owner made us feel special. They were super busy being a new hot spot especially for quick and efficient takeout service. We ended up sitting at the bar for about 3 hours and had some snacks, apps, and tasted drinks, then ordered dinner to go for later and I just finished it and I am now obsessed. We will be back time and time again and wish them and their friendly staff all the success in the world. I have been to three Cheba Hut locations throughout the country and this one has to be my favorite due to the fact they perfectly toast their subs and the ratio of ingredients is on point. Only downside was I had to do pickup from here since the only delivery app I use is GrubHub.

Apollo 13 is outer space man, good sandwich, it has chicken, olives, the dark lettuce (or cabbage? or spinich? it's some kind of green I don't know but it's different and has good flavor) and the crumbly white cheese. The atmosphere is real cool too

Edit: While the food is still good, the speed and order commitment time was lacking this past experience. This restaurant is the byproduct of if Quizno's got their business model and nutrition right. All the subs are interesting products and they are all good. Why would you go to Jimmy John's or Subway when you can have better experiences here?

everyone that works here seems like they actually like each other and have fun at work. its actually kind of entertaining to watch when waiting for my food. the food is always really good. I recommend getting a full sized sandwhich cuz you will def want that extra food later . my fave sandwhich rn is the sriracha one .

The first subs place that has a legitimate selection for vegetarians. The names are all based on smoking blunts and related activities, I guess. I wouldn't know about that 😃. I tried the Griefo. Fabulous. Maybe the second best veggie sub I've had. Instead of lettuce they used mixed greens and the quality of other ingredients is top notch. A tad expensive, but it's par for the course for this hood. If these are the kind of food items that are inspired by the wacky tabacky, maybe I should partake!!! Can't wait to go back and try the other veggie offerings. BTW, this place also has a bar attached that seems hipster friendly. But I wouldn't know as I don't partake in that anymore.

I decided to step in one day since I live in the area and love to check out new places. It was best decision I ever made and now I stop in almost everyday. Not only do I pick up an amazing meal for me , I also pick up one up for several people including my wife and her co workers. Everyone tells me how great your sammiches and omg whats in this 🤤🤤🤤. I love the staff here but management not so much. The only reason I don't take a star or two off is because of the staff. I've eaten here 4 times and can tell they would have something magical if the management pays attention. All of the staff here are awesome except the one bartender from an African descent with all the piercings and management. I had a meal here and asked if I can roll a joint on the table and the staff member I asked said "It's cool, we aren't called the Cheeba Hut for nothing." Thinking that it is fine I eat my meal and bust out my smoking gear to roll a joint. The management lays in on the employee. NOT COOL AT ALL.. You can't name your establishment the 'Cheeba Hut' if you really don't support it fully.

Finally a hot sandwich shop on division! Love these guys. Awesome people, excellent service and delicious toasted sandwiches. Haven't been inside yet but decor looks fun and inviting. Grabbed a sandwich right before close and they were out of there signature goo balls (highly recommend), so they refunded me and gave me a few other treats for free! Little things like that often go unnoticed but excellent service like that is priceless. I Look forward to some post covid (whenever that is) 1 am sammies!

Huge fan of Cheba Hut Wicker Park! I've tried about a dozen of their subs & am yet to have one that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. My favorites are Midwest Best (be sure to add mayo), Orange Widow, Sensei Kush & Cali Mist. If you are in the neighborhood give them a try you won't regret it!

No mystery tuna here! Cheba hut sandwiches are fantastic. Since discovering them last week, we have grabbed lunch here 3 times. The decor is fun; the staff are also super sweet and the service is fast. You have the option of choosing plain, whole wheat or GARLIC BREAD (all home made, I believe). We have tried The Kind and Kali Mist, and both were fantastic with a good amount of filling and toppings. You won't regret stopping by!

Hot tamale this place is the SPOT for tasty stoned delivery. The sandwiches are huge *and affordable* (all about getting the Acapulco Gold Au Jus!) And the desserts, especially their rotating cereal bar rice Krispy selection are a steal of a deal. Honestly, if you're in the delivery area, gotta try it AT LEAST once. :)

One of the best subs I've ever had. Every time I would travel to Colorado we visited Cheba Hut at least twice before heading back. We've driven to Madison, Wisconsin for the subs (thats how good they are). I love all of the Cheba Huts, but being that I'm from Chicago, our mural is definitely my favorite. The atmosphere is dope too! From the food and drinks to the vibes- trust me, you have to check this place out!

Rarely do I make public reviews - as a vegetarian, I have to say, you just won't find a better sandwich option. The bread is so delicious and the veggies are always fresh. Plus, the sandwich itself is just stacked. Most other sandwich shops have a 'veggie' that's just cheese and mushrooms. I have brought SEVERAL people in to try for themselves (carnivores too) and have referred at least a dozen others. Lol I'm a cheeba cheer leadah for life. Oh... And the goo balls... Get one!!

Cheba Hut was my favorite place to order food in Iowa City and then they got rid of it. I moved back to Illinois last year and I am SOOOO excited that there’s a Cheba Hut here!!! The food options are unique, the theme is fun, and the service is quick and friendly.
