Big Guy’s Sausage Stand is just too good! My family and friends absolutely love the food. I always try to order online or over the phone because the food is made to order and it usually takes 10-15 minutes go be ready!! We love everything, especially their two ring circus burger and the Pierre Deluxe tray. We always order extra Pierre chicken and shrimp. I like that they provide different dipping sauces. Overall I love their food because it’s consistent and always delicious!

If you like garlic you must try the garlic frys can feed like 3 people. You actually taste real garlic 5/5. I had the big guy burger with the thousand island dressing it was good, bun was good, meat was ok 4/5 it was good just not great. The polish was a hit i asked to char it a bit more and it was done proper 5/5. Fries were suoer fresh 5/5. Over all 3 burgers 2 small fries, polish, garlic fry i spent about about 50 to 60 bucks with tip and no drinks. I like quailty and freshness the only down for me was the meat on the burger a bit on the dry side that day. I will re review the burger another day just because this place has 5 star potenial in MY BOOKS.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Food is always made to order and full of flavor! I always pick this place over any of the fast food places around! Pierre Deluxe is a favorite of ours - lots of fried goodness variety and the dipping sauces are awesome! Burgers are always juicy and delicious! Onion rings are some of the best we've had!

At the beginning of May, Brendan and crew catered our wedding, and I'm so glad we made that choice. I was concerned with keeping us inside our budget, while my husband had a vision of a supper that was nothing like the typical wedding cuisine. Brendan collaborated with us to realize my husband's concept. He agreed to have the alcohol and tablecloths delivered to him beforehand so that his staff could prepare everything for us. Even the cupcakes my mother requested on a week before the big day were accommodated by him. We obtained a Mediterranean feast from a sausage vendor, and both we and our visitors were blown away!

Big Guys Catering is the Best of the Best! From start to finish they were communicative, their prices are fair, the presentation of their food was spot on and I cannot say enough about how delicious and amazing their food is. At our daughters wedding the guests were going up for 3rd and 4th portions and asking to take the leftovers home. You can tell they use the best ingredients and put Love into their home cooking - just like grandma used to do! You can't go wrong choosing Big Guys Catering for any event you are having.

Still on the lookout for the best corned beef near Oak Park... Ordered the Reuben Combo Meal and a Chicken Pita. Combo meals add fries and a soda. The corned beef was decent, ample amount of beef, just lacking sauerkraut in every bite. Bread was a bit soggy, but probably due to it being wrapped up for carryout. Disappointed in the Chicken pita, as it was more of an onion and tomato salad. Hardly any chicken, probably stick with their namesake sausage. Pull up on the side lot and ring the bell. Noone allowed inside, so its curbside delivery to your car at the moment.

I have been here twice and I still have not had a sausage. But the Ruben is freaking huge, very well made, and delicious. Thick and juicy corned beef chunks, ample Swiss cheese, plenty of sauerkraut, and rye bread that is grilled to perfection. Plenty of dressing on the side to drench it, or sparingly dress it as you please. It's a fantastic sandwich. The classic burger is a delicious freshly made masterpiece, as is the grilled cheeseburger. The fries are great fresh and still good cold. What it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for it in friendly courteous service and great food.

Big guys makes their own sausage on site and do wonderfully creative things with meat. Yeah yeah yeah, I’m writing now though because this is THE place for fries. They remind me of the decadent pomme frites in some snooty restaurant. The garlic fries are tasty but a little too greasy for me. Go plain or loaded!

Burger and Fries for my 5 year old, Cobb salad for me. Happy to pay $34 plus $6 tip for freshly made food, but was disappointed with the wait. Salad was great, when I ordered the guy asked if I wanted “individual or medium”. I ordered medium. I think it’s actually the family size. It was a lot, good for main dish for one really really (really) hungry person, but I didn’t finish it. Tons of avocado and bacon and chicken, they didn’t skimp on ingredients. I will recommend the salad to friends. Burger and fries seemed like they would be good but they were cold by the time we ate. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because it took 30 minutes to get food and burger and fries were done 10 minutes before the salad so they were stone cold by the time we ate. I think the 2 person crew may have been overwhelmed with catering orders (it was Mother’s Day) as the stand itself wasn’t crowded. I think they could have been up front about the time before we ordered which would have set my expectations and allows me to chose if another place might be better that day with a fidgety 5 year old. We will try again as the the salad was 10/10.

Was a little disappointed they didn’t have any of the exotic types of sausage they featured on Chicago’s Best, however I ordered the polish sausage and it was very good. Would definitely come back.

Excellent “fast food” joint that is much more than that. The home made sausages are over the top but they have specials like the Fred Flintstone, a bone in short rib sandwich loaded with peppers and cheese. Burgers and fries are perfect and the menu is loaded with a bunch of special surprises.

Best burgers in Berwyn, me and wife just tried the brown cow burger. My god was it delicious. We got turned onto them a few years ago and have been loyal patrons since. The quality is out of this world, you can't beat the flavors. Big Guy's is everything you want and so much more. Great and super friendly staff. It's the full package, whether you are alone or taking out the family. A must visit!

I had big guys for the 1st time and there was hits and misses! I ordered burgers and 1 of them I ordered it with bacon but was missing it in my burger. The fries were the best for sure (hot)! I didn’t like the poor edicate of the cooks. They weren’t friendly! The most disturbing part was flies were everywhere in the restaurant and even around the food. I almost walked out but decided to stick it out and support the small business! I will probably give them another chance at some point.

Excellent little place. The inside is small but has several counter seats along the windows. Today I tried the bratwurst which was very good, fresh cut fries as well, and my buddy had the shrimp po boy which he said was fantastic. Will be back again.

Brendan and company catered our wedding at the beginning of May, and I couldn't be happier we decided to work with him. My husband had a vision of a meal nowhere close to traditional wedding fare, and I was focused on keeping us in budget. Brendan worked with us and brought my husband's idea to life. He allowed us to have the liquor delivered to him ahead of time, along with the tablecloths, so his staff could get everything set for us. He even accommodated the cupcakes my mom insisted on a week from the big day. From a sausage stand, we got a Mediterranean feast, and it blew us and our guests away! The catering went above and beyond my expectations. The food was grilled on-site behind our venue. The staff took my disposable tableware and, using palm fronds, greenery, and beautiful wood serving boards, created a beautiful spread for my guests. Kebobs, handmade sausage, warm, gooey saganaki flambeed to order. Even the pickiest of eaters enjoyed the food! Particular standouts were bacon-wrapped dates and fig crostini with prosciutto. Every one of our guests raved about the food! Don't be fooled by this sausage stand. There is so much more to this company than meets the eye. I am a truly satisfied customer, and highly recommend Big Guys for catering.

I went in on a Friday and the guy behind the counter filled us in on the specials- corned beef (deli style or Reuben style) and shrimp po'boy. I'd heard everything I needed to hear by the time he said po boy! We got one of each of the specials, and the sandwiches were awesome. Big portions and quality ingredients, keeping it simple and classic. You can tell they thought about everything that went into the sandwich and didn't give into any gimmicks. They also sell their sausage by the pound for you to grill at home!

This is a really great spot for a quick bite. The usual fast food spot which is clean and has a friendly and helpful employees. What I like the most when I last visit this spot is they have a wide selection on their menu and there are different and a lot of good choices to choose from plus they also have salad. NO one can say no to a burger so that is what I ordered. It is just a typical fast food which only has a small space and few tables inside but this spot has an available outdoor seating with a lot of tables. I was about to eat my food somewhere else but when I saw their outdoor seating, I just chose to eat it there. The burger I got has a nice portion and definitely perfect for me. It is a bit greasy but I do not mind at all because it is well-seasoned, flavorful and delicious for its cheap price. I would like to return in this spot I had a chance.

Went to try out their Thanksgiving catering package. First year ever doing something like this too. Suffice to say, it was worth it. Stopping by a tent set up in the parking lot and grabbing my order was novel, but the meal itself really sold it. You get a lot for the feed 6 people plan and can add extra. The stuffing was phenomenal. The sides are great and the rest of my family enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to see what they have for Christmas. Photo attached to show the amount of food you get.

One for those in the know (and can get to Berwyn -blue line Oak Park Ave./Harlem stop) one of the best burger and sausage makers resides. It’s made from ground sirloin steak and served on a lightly toasted brioche bun served with mild melted cheese, a fat ring of tomato and some token iceberg lettuce. Simple as that. For a long time, we’re told, this was the best burger in Chicago. Now just received nod to one of the best Chicago-style hot dogs with all the fixins. It's aesthetic makes crabby patties tremble. Yum! For non-burger eaters, I especially enjoy their veggie burger and beyond burger options, cooked in their own tray on the grill. The fries are old school, served long and chunky skin-on. Upgrade to pimento cheese sauce as a perfect dipper! Grilled chicken sandwiches are their classic, French roll or bun, cheese or naked, buffalo sauce or simply lettuce, tomato, mayo. Friday night shrimp po-boys make occasions appearances. Housemade soups have always been pleasurable. Event catering available, just add friends. Big Guys helps local causes with a donation night, sponsors youth sport teams, https fight food and housing insecurity along with unspoken boosting of inclusive hiring and fair wage practices. Really grateful to have this local, supportive small business nearby.

I've tried Big Guy's twice now to the dismay of my neighbors who catered Thanksgiving and have never gone back. They did try to forewarn me. I've tried two burgers, fries and the pot roast sandwich. The burgers were ok. They were the Monday $5 special before the patty weight was reduced from 6oz to 4oz to avoid the 10% surcharge. Not a bad burger...just not what one would expect the best damn burger to be. There are great burgers out there, just not here. I love pot roast and drove out again in December to try the sandwich. It was a $14.95 disappointment. My skimpy shredded sandwich was a feeble comparison to the meaty and chunky photos and videos provided by Big Guy's. I did respond to their email query giving my visit a thumbs down and the reasons why. The weight of the meat was less than the one and a half pounds advertised. Plus, a substantial portion of the pot roast was inedible fat. The fried onions overpowered the sandwich due to the high ratio of onions to meat. Lastly, the horseradish sauce was not included. I didn't hear from them for a month and then it was just a "hey friend, where ya been? email soliciting more business. One reviewer commented that if something is missing from your order just contact them. They'll make it right. It makes me wonder if Big Guy's sends out incomplete orders regularly. And I can honestly say it wasn't made right for me. If I had gotten the complete serving of pot roast with limited fat and the horseradish sauce, I might have enjoyed it. But this particular night I would have been better served going next door to Culver's for their pot roast. This was also at a time when the mask mandate was in effect for Illinois. The man behind the counter cooking and preparing food while visible to all was not wearing one.

We hired Brendan and Big Guy's Sausage Stand to cater our wedding and it was hands down the BEST decision we ever made. Do not let the "Sausage Stand" in the name fool you. These guys provide a full blown top quality, full service, customizable catering experience. We had what seemed like an impossible vision: Korean BBQ, a charcuterie table, sliders and sausage sandwiches, pasta and salad, Mexican tacos, all served in various stations buffet style for 250 people on a fairly tight budget. Not only did Brendan make it happen, but he went above and beyond and blew our minds! Everything was displayed beautifully and executed flawlessly to the point that people probably assumed we had to pay way more than we actually did. Our guests are still telling us that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Throughout the planning process, we never once felt like we had to worry about anything, because Brendan would take care of it. He handled everything from providing bartenders, to planning our signature drink, to figuring out the floor plan, to ordering plates and utensils, to somehow finding time to personally deliver a taste of each station in the bridal suite to make sure my Husband and I got to try everything. I could go on and on about how AMAZING our experience with Brendan and Big Guy's was, and it still wouldn't feel like I'm doing it justice. This is the biggest hidden gem in the Chicagoland area and if you are looking for a phenomenal, affordable, and trustworthy catering company for your wedding or special event, DO NOT hesitate to hire Big Guy's Sausage Stand. Forever thankful for bringing our wedding dreams to life!

Food awesome! Great grab and go! Italian Sausage was supurb. Our party had burgers, brats, Polish Sausage and hot dog. There is outdoor seating in back. Not much where you order. Garlic fries were super garlic. Not a fan of the onion rings, too much batter. Great portions.

Great place for lunch I’m the neighborhood! A little pricey, but the food is good. My go to is the Bacon Blue Burger when my favorite specials are not around. I wish some of the specials would make more frequent stops or regular items to the Menu. Some of my favorite past specials was the Lotta Burrata Chicken and Eggplant sandwich, the Fred Flinstone, and the roast beef extraordinaire. Hoping they bring back that lamb sausage, bc I missed that one. I recommend this place to anyone that appreciates good food!

This is a great place for hamburgers and sausage sandwiches. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. You arrive and they take your order. Prices are very reasonable. The fries and soup are exceptionally good. They often give free samples of sauces for your fries. Street parking as well as parking behind and along the side of the restaurant is usually available. They are careful to use high quality ingredients. I definitely plan to pay them another visit soon! I recently visited this restaurant and was exceptionally happy with both the service and the food. You can now call in an order and they will bring it to your car. As always the service is fast, very friendly and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. This is a restaurant determined to survive during difficult times. Treat yourself to a meal there sometime soon!

I ordered the Maxwell Street Polish and the BG Fries. Food was good for what it was. I wanted the sausage to have some char on it like the sign mentioned. The fries were supposed to be garlic and butter fries but they just tasted like soggy greasy fries and the flavor seemed off. I wanted to order onion rings but they only came in a super large size for $9. If I'm in the area again I'll try again maybe it was an off day.

Big guys serves great food in huge portions. We recently ordered a st patrick's day feast, and it was so easy and delicious. I was really impressed with their friendly service. One quibble - I'd love to see more sustainable carry out packaging. It's hard with greasy street food, but I felt pretty guilty at the amount of plastic and styrofoam we threw out. Nevertheless, the food was terrific, and we had more than enough for leftovers the next day.

It's a fast food place, but the care and love they put into their food is obvious. Everything is made fresh to order, and they have these very special specials. The foods tastes homemade. I love their burgers, gyros, and fried shrimp. You get your money's worth with every meal. I got the shrimp this last time, I couldn't eat them all. You should eat here.

Sweet mother of Jeebus! Soooo good! The Reuben is utterly delicious--the corned beef is thick cut and tender, and the proportion of meat, kraut, and cheese is spot on. Loaded fries are perfectly decadent (the cheese sauce is actually made of cheese, unlike that weird orange stuff most places serve). Portion sizes are very generous and designed for sharing. This was our first order, but it definitely won't be our last!

This place is a hidden gem in the Chicagoland area!! Burgers and sausages are grinded and prepped in house! Toppings and condiments made with skill and love, clearly homemade! Fresh cut fries or chips! Nothing frozen, or just bought and served out of a container. They seem to take it up another level with the catering menu and family dinner concept. Different options then compared to what they have on everyday menu, but quality is elevated, and the portions remain, as the name suggests, made for BIG GUYS!! THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!

I went to Thanksgiving Dinner at my friend's Jim and Chris and was totally surprised. The dinner was catered by Big Guys. I knew of Big Guys. I have been by the place a million times but have never stopped in. I have friends that have and said the food was very good. I knew they made sandwiches but I didn't know they catered. And this dinner was SPECTACULAR! It was nothing like I would have expected from Big Guys. They really knocked it out of the park. The turkey was perfectly cooked, moist and tender. The grilled vegetables were done perfectly and each vegetable was grilled separately making the entire medley wonderfully crispy. And how can you you make mashed potatoes good enough to be written about? Well, they did it! They had the perfect amount of butter and salt, making it not necessary to add anything except a bit of the superb brown gravy. The sweet potatoes were fluffy and tasty. So I can't say anything but what a wonderful dinner. Well done, Big Guys!!!

The hamburgers and BG fries were AMAZING!! We ordered pickup and they forgot our regular fries and called us after we were home to say they forgot. We ran back to get them and they were so apologetic and even threw in the BG fries for free! 10/10 service and food at a great price!

Great burgers and fries! The are a true American hole in the wall food stand! Big Guys offers a selection of burgers, sausages, and other specials. They have great low prices including daily deals! The service is quick and the workers are friendly and proud of where they work. They told us that they were recently selected for the best burger in Chicago, and I can see why! We ordered a few burgers from the build your own burger menu, and they were juicy and delicious! The cheese was perfectly melted and the veggies were fresh! We also ordered a basket of fries with cheese sauce. This cheese sauce is seriously killer! I assume it's homemade. It's warm, extra runny, and full of flavor. It made up for them not offering barbecue sauce on their menu! Really, everything about Big Guys is pretty awesome. I recommend checking it out for yourself!

The pork chop sandwich was great. It featured a flavorful, tender and juicy chop with grilled peppers. It was steaming hot. I went back for another. The gumbo was delicious. The burger, TWELVE OUNCES, was as big as a pancake and has a nice char grilled flavor. I ordered this yesterday and I'm still munching on it now. Great menu selection, nice staff. I got here right as it opened and sat outside on the bench with my dog. I ordered the polish (spicy grilled onions were great) and fries. They were both delicious, and by far better than the chains around Big Guys. Its exactly what you'd expect from a hot dog stand and they delivered.

While driving up to the mall, this little stand caught my eye. After shopping, the wifey and I both build up quite an appetite. We almost settled for the malls food court, when I quickly remembered this spot. We placed our ordered over the phone as they have their respective COVID rules. Food was brought out to the car, where we decided to just park and eat. The gentleman handling our food was very attentive. Over all the experience was great and the food was beyond delicious. We will be back for sure.

I love Big Guys - I literally dream about their Big Guys Burger. If you've never been - do yourself a favor and stop by. Their burgers and sausages is where it's at!! Their prices are very reasonable, yet they still have daily specials - like $5 burgers on Mondays and Tuesdays. I don't live anywhere near this place, but will always find a way to stop in for my fave burger. Quick tip - their large order of fries is huge and more than enough for 2 or 3 people...making this place an even better bargain than it already is. Hope this place is open for a long, long time!

Love this place! They specialize in sausage which is all made in house. Their daily specials are awesome, and their French fries are hand cut. It's a no frills place, but due to the quality of the food I could care less. I highly recommend if you are in the mood for a great sandwich at a reasonable price.

The food is delicious. It's not the fastest place to get take out, but everything seems to be made fresh. I love the burgers, chicken pierre, and the french fries are incredible. They also added more chicken and vegetarian options, which means it's easier to find something everyone will like.

This place disappointed me when I first came here due to not having any of their special sausages on the menu anymore. I was bummed but ordered what I felt was basic fast food but was I in for a treat. I had their Italian sausage on garlic bread and their signature big guy burger. I was so surprised by the flavor bomb from their charbroiled burger with the string onions. The amount of meat matters as their half pound version was the perfect ratio of meat to toppings. The sausage sandwich was delicious due to the garlic bread and nice season and crisp. This place is legit and not too far off the highway. They have a small lot and handful of stool chairs against their counter to eat.

Delicious char dog and Polish. The Polish was actually like real Kielbasa, very juicy with thick skin. Mine literally sprayed on the window by accident; it was awesome (sorry maintenance). Spicy grilled onions were really good as a topoing. Soup and fries good. Workers very friendly. Place has character.

First of all, I had really high expectations and really wanted this to be a 5-star review. I've been wanting to try Big Guy's Sausage for a while now after it came so highly recommended by multiple friends. For the most part, it was an excellent experience, but there were two things holding me back from the 5-star mark. We ordered a reuben, a grilled chicken sandwich, a 1lb box of chicken Pierre, and an order of fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was perfect. It was surprisingly simple (in a good way). The bun was so fresh and delicious, and the chicken was grilled to perfection. The chicken Pierre was great too! Awesome batter! The kids loved them and it was a generous serving. Very home-made flavor from everything. The reuben was delicious in flavor, but this is also where I have my first complaint. Great idea behind the thick-cut corned beef as well. My problem was that the meat wasn't very tender. Corned beef should be falling-apart-tender, especially if you're going to cut it this thick. It was just too chewy. It also didn't have dressing on it. Now the Pierre came with two sauces and I received three, so I'm assuming one of these was intended for the reuben, but none of them seemed like a thousand island dressing. The sauces were great, but none were a replacement for a reuben dressing in my opinion. My second complaint was the fries. I don't really get it. Many places are serving fries like this now. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I just want golden, no skin, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, fries. I feel like more and more restaurants are serving these soggy, skin on, lazy fries. -- It wasn't my intention to talk more about the two minor negative aspects of this experience. The food really is delicious and I will definitely be back again soon.

I always forget about a review on Google. I'm a huge fan... been coming since 9/10/12, the day Teddy from Chicago's Best TV was there filming. Nothing like this place. Everything is made on premise and with love. The specials are the true stars. They've made some recent changes with their hours and daily combo meal deals. Feed your urge for fine cuisine on a blue color budget. Amazing catering and BBQ parties are available too.

The quintessentially Chicago sausage stand is oddly not located in Chicago, but in a suburb just outside the city limits. Everything about this place screams authentic Chicago. From the Ditka 'stache on one of the guys who takes your order, to the Maxwell Street style Polish sausage. Taking a bite of one of those I'm transported to the '80s and following my parents up and down the rows of the Maxwell Street market on a Sunday in search of hubcaps to replace ours that were stolen during the week. I recommend buying a combo so you can try two of the sausages.
