Reviews of Pauli's
Melody Gourlay
I loved this place!!!! I ate here every single day of my Boston trip. This has hands down the best lobster roll I have ever tried. The workers here treat you like family and help you decide what to get! They put a good amount of lobster on the roll and this place is surprisingly cheaper than surrounding lobster shacks. I 10/10 recommended the hot buttered lobster roll and trust me upgrade to fries from chips. The chowder is also very good, but the star is obviously the lobster roll.

Went on a Sunday around 345, not very busy luckily! There is limited seating inside, maybe 10 stools around.
Ordered a hot butter lobster roll and paid the $3 upgrade for fries instead of chips. $34.23 total
First time trying a lobster roll and it was delicious. Very buttery, roll was kinda sweet it all just tied together well. 👍🏽 picture speaks for itself and the fries are crispy and delicious.

I was planning to go to Neptune's, which is located next to Pauli's because it had been highly recommended. But the line was too long to wait. (Very inefficient way to get a table by the way).
This proved to be very serendipitous because we popped into Pauli's which is located right next door.
I ordered a hot Buttered Lobster Roll and it was fabulous! This was my very first Lobster Roll ever so I can't compare it to any others, but I can say I was not disappointed.
Service was fast and super friendly. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
Rawad Elias
Super friendly staff, tons of sandwich choices, and large portions.
Tried the “Super Mario” which is a meatball sub with cheese sticks. It was super filling, but it was missing something to make it perfect.
Also tried the “Honey Bee” which is a chicken cutlet and bacon. This was my favourite and would recommend it.
You will not leave hungry or sad. This place is fantastic.
gammeelovemusic
Right next to the popular Neptune Oyster but it’s much less crowded and not much waiting needed… and you can get one of the best lobster roll in Boston! The amount of lobster meat is plenty and it’s also fresh and juicy!
Alicia Abbey
Excellent hot lobster roll (they did not have any lemon to squeeze on the roll, however they did pour some lemon juice into a small container to pour on top). Does no one else eat Lobster Rolls with lemon?
The chicken parmesan was really good too. Large portion, couldn't finish all the penne noodles.
Ellie
Pauli's is the best option for a lobster roll. I had a hot classic that made my day. It was a great option among a wide menu where I would defitnely give a try to several sandwiches. Most recommended !
Walking around little italy was not that pleasant since streets were very dirty and full of garbage. However, Pauli's is a tiny food option local that brings the best flavors there!
Shannon C.
Ordered a hot buttered lobster roll with onion rings. The roll was full of meat and very tasty. I enjoyed every bite. The onion rings were OK, they looked like they came out of a bag; too perfectly round. But I came for the lobster roll and it did not disappoint.
Xun Zhang
Not very suitable for sitting there but the food over there is fantastic! The No.1 is the lobster roll which has butter in the bread and you can choose hot or cold. I highly recommend to have hot one although summer now.
Pei
Went on a weekend around 5 in the evening. Ordered a hot buttered lobster roll with onion rings. Full of flavours & the lobsters taste fresh. 😋
David Lozano
Came here on business trip as I heard they have the best lobstah rolls and they were right. Absolutely amazing. Fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back for another before I leave.

Small restaurant with bar seating but menu is very extensive. You can get anything from breakfast to dinner here. However the main star of the show must be the hot buttered lobster roll, which is best in city. Soft buns filled with juicy and sweet lobster for a great price in downtown Boston area. $28 for a roll + $3 extra for onion rings or fries give a much better deal and flavor quality comparing to what you would find at other restaurants. This place is a must try if you are visiting Boston and are looking for lobster roll.
Tara Wilson
Wish I had a picture of the wrap we shared - the Pauli-tician was delicious with crispy breaded chicken, fresh mozzarella, white balsamic wine balsamic vinegar, etc. The service was friendly and quick - did not wait long for our order and it was a busy lunch time. Seating is limited, but worth it. Seemed to be a popular pick up for take out orders.
Logan Waller
This lobster roll was darn good and I loved every bite. There was so much lobster in every bite and they didn't put too much butter on it which was nice. There are many places to get lobster rolls in Boston but this is the best bang for your buck because these babies aren't cheap. The lobster is nice and tender as well which makes it that much better.
B Positive
We got tired of waiting in line at Neptune next doors so we went to Pauli’s and we are so glad we did. The lobster roll, parmesan garlic fries, and onion rings were amazing. And best of all, no wait! The lobster chunks were so yummy 🤤 …
Chad Carlson
Absolutely fantastic lobster rolls. We ate ours warm. With onion rings. The service was awesome as well.
paulina hernandez
I loved every bite! I ordered a lobster roll and substituted chips with fries, great decision! Fries were perfectly crispy. The lobster roll had a good portion of lobster meat on it. I also got a huge chocolate chip cookie! I felt like home being in the restaurant, it wasn't busy and we got our good quality food quickly! I would absolutely come again
Jacob Obradovich
Had the cold lobster roll. Super tasty. Had to stop by and check it out. A little expensive ($27 for lobster roll) but what can you expect for fresh lobster and a lot of it.
Richard Nelson
Honestly came here because its supposed good lobster roll and guy fieri came here. The onion rings were really good and the lobster roll was also good. The wait was a little long, but what do you expect in boston. Def solid.
Crystal Lefoy
I was really looking forward to loving their lobster roll since it's supposed to be the best. However, out of all the different lobster rolls I tried during my trip (which was at least 7), this one was my least favorite. Maybe it was because I went 2 hours prior to closing so food wasn't as fresh, but my lobster was rubbery and overcooked. Not to mention the roof of my mouth was bleeding after I bit into a piece where they failed to remove the inside shell/gristle in the claw - so that was painful (picture attached). The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean, I just wish my food experience was better and injury free.

For about $26, you can get a hot and buttered lobster roll and chips at Pauli’s. This place has been featured on the Food Network, has had tons of stars visit, and lots of success. But one bite into that hot lobster roll and you’ll know why. The buttered and grilled bun was the perfect vehicle for that mountain of lobster they put on top. Yes, $26 is pricey for a sandwich, but you definitely get your money’s worth. It was delicious and my mouth is watering for one as I sit here typing this up.
Jeff
Pauli’s is the tiny neighborhood shop that happens to serve one of the best grub around.
The star of the show has always, and will always be, the Hot Butter Lobster Roll. The Hot Butter coats the roll and your tongue so luxuriously, so lovingly, so sinfully. It makes me want to cry. Coupled with some sweet lobster meat and a toasted bun, it’s a roll that you’ll want to eat in one bite. Then grab another. And another, until your cardiologist tells you to stop eating, you pig.
On any given day you’ll find people of all walks of life huddled inside Pauli’s waiting for their order, and others casually chowing down on the tiny tables just outside.
Erica M.
The hot buttered lobster roll was delicious. It was over $50 for two lobster rolls (one with potato chips, one we upgraded to fries) so certainly not a cheap meal, but tasty nonetheless! Seating was limited but we were able to find a few open chairs indoors.
Shreya
Oh my god. An absolute must. First of all the employees are always kind and helpful, they're quick too. The sandwiches are just unbelievable. I personally love the skinny Vinny but every single one I've tried so far has been great. Not really a sit down place, they have seating but it's more of a grab and go type place.
Beef And Broccoli Life
Would We Return: Yes .. probably wouldn't order lobster since most local ppl in line ordered other specially sandwiches.
What We Loved: Full Menu of Sandwiches, easy ordering and maybe a 10 min wait during peak lunch hours when we visited in late Aug 2022. We visited one other place for a lobster roll and Pauli's definitely offered more lobster meat for less.
What We Didn't Love: $73 bucks for 2 rolls with chips and a small tip. Again, I'll order a signature sandwich next time ...
Timothy H
Great place for a lobster roll if you’re looking for one, much cheaper than the ones down by Quincy market and just as good
Falon Fazzini
Pauli’s is one of my favorite spots in the north end. It’s consistently delicious and satisfying, as well as reasonably priced with a friendly and efficient staff. Located on Salem street, they offer numerous sandwiches, salads, and amazing lobster rolls. Skip the many tourist traps in this neighborhood and grab a bite here. A must have.
Andrew Chartrand
Good hot buttered lobster roll but small and not the best that I have had.
Laura Bryce
The lobster roll was really good, we tried the hot buttered and the cold version. We both preferred the hot buttered roll.
Marco Chen (JeLWinGeR)
Absolute best pitstop for delicious lobsta rolls and clam chowda in downtown Boston, definitely worth the detour if you're on the freedom trail!
Jeff Todd
This is about the best place both for price and quality in the north end. There are subs and sandwiches and salads and other things, decent portions. They have these lobster rolls and other lobster dishes that are popular, but expensive.
Stevie H.
We were visiting from out of town and decided to try Pauli's. Everyone should try them! The lobster roll was delicious and we also got two of their signature subs that were amazing. Very good quality and friendly staff.
Paul Hamilton
We had a late lunch here. Was a wave of noise and hustle and bustle as we walked in. Got our order in and had a Gluten Free turkey Club and a Gluten Free Parma ham with Mozzarella sandwich. Amazing. Was that good I forgot to take a picture.
Inness
Visited for the warm lobster rolls, which were buttery and messy and GOOD. The ambiance wasn’t the best, seemed a little dirty. Took an extra 30 seconds to decide on our order, and although we were the only customers in the shop, evidently that was deeply inconveniencing to the cashier who immediately started tapping his fingers impatiently.
Nicholas Pavlinsky
Pauli's came highly recommended by my hotel concierge, and they did not disappoint. I had the Mexicali burger on my first visit. What a sandwitch! The burger was delicious, not overly greasy, paired with perfect toppings. Each ingredient seemed carefully chosen to produce a burger that is an absolute delight to eat, not just because of flavor, but in it's construction. On the last bite, my hands were still clean, and the burger stayed in the bun the entire time. Having had such a great experience, I returned the following day for a Lobster roll. Nothing like hot buttered lobster on a toasted bun, on a cool fall day in Boston! Let's not forget the fries. Every fry was crisp and golden brown! Next time I'm in town I will be back. Thanks for the food Pauli's!
Danielle Slegel
Hot butter lobster roll was fantastic. Lobster cooked perfectly. Was not chewy! Great roll!
Hannah
Run don’t walk to Pauli’s! Absolutely insane food here. Our crew had the meatball sub, pollo pozzo, and lobster roll and we all agreed they were the best sandwiches we’ve ever had (and best lobster roll in Boston). They have a small space so we just stood in the corner inhaling our food once it came out but it was all part of the vibe and we didn’t mind at all. My only complaint is that we were on vacation in Boston and I can’t have their amazing food again for lunch today! ;-)
Elizabeth K
Good sandwiches, great size! Last time I had a lobster roll it was a bit tough but generally they put out a good sandwich. Fries are my favorite, they’re beer batter crunchy kind!
Bill Maxwell
It was my first visit to Boston and everyone told me I needed to try a lobster roll. It tasted good and had a generous portion of "lobsta" but I find it hard to justify $25 for lobster on a toasted hotdog bun.
Slava Sponitz
Small place with quick service, good prices and excellent food. This place is a mix between fast food and high quality food restaurant. Their clam chowder soup was one of the best that I ever had. Lobster roll was tasty with a large lobster pieces not overloaded with mayo.
Belkys Diaz
Lobster roll heaven.. in Boston for weekend and lobster rolls are a must..this spot fit the bill to a tee. Lite..delicious ..and delicate with French fries..I like mine simple done and this was just that .. also tried the meatball and fried mozzarella aka Mario hero also delicious. Place is small but great for eating.
The Keith-Donovan Experience
On my first trip to Boston, during a pandemic, going through my eat, pray, love phase. I did a quick search for a lobster roll and this place came up. Not as close as I would have hoped, but the reviews seem pretty consistent.
Let me say this. I received the most Boston, Boston experience anyone could get. The accents, the warmth of the inside, and friendly staff. Watching the clean hustle and bustle of the food prep.
I had my first official roll. Simply amazing!
COVID guidelines we clear and posted which made me feel safe while ordering. I ate outside on the makeshift patio. Enjoying the 45 degree weather.
Thanks for the experience,
🤎KD
Lindsey Carrick
Their food was good. We had the lobster roll and skinny eggplant sandwich.
The inside is a little tight depending on the time of day you’re there. They have a huge menu which is nice. Staff was friendly.
Prices were pretty affordable for the area and amount of food you get.
Really enjoyed their French fries the most.
Edward M
Good sandwiches. I've tried the lobster roll and the Pauili-tician - both were great. The roll comes with your choice of chips - the salt and vinegar goes great with it. The people who work here are very friendly too. A lot of people end up here because the line next door is too long, but I think it's worth a visit on its own merits.
Nehemoth
Ordered the classic cold lobster (lobsta) roll upgraded with onion rings and a clam chowder (chowda) with oysters crackers, also a classic hot lobster roll with chips.
Both rolls came with a little bun and full of lobster, preferred the hot one.
The onions were great, I do like onions a lot but don't enjoy fried food (sadly).
The Clam Chowder was great, and I'm loving this thing, hope to get more soon.
Definitely recommend to come here, cozy place and looks like the prices are good (I don't have the knowledge to compare it with another place).
Total cost was 52.93 for everything described above.

When you are in Boston, you gotta get your hands on some good ole’ Lobstah Roll! I found an old school spot that offers affordable lobster roll of a good size. It is located in Little Italy. It is a small, no-frills kind of shop. They do have a good amount of seating for a small shop.
They serve their lobster rolls in two ways: Classic Cold and Hot. The price is market, therefore it might change frequently. It is served with a bag of chips, which can be substituted for additional cost. We decided to get both kinds of the lobster rolls and different kinds of sides.
I ordered Classic Cold, and I got it with Onion Rings. The lobster roll is about 7oz and has chunks of fresh lobster meat, quite large and heavy! Cold one is really chilled, super fresh and has no fillers! Nothing but knuckle and claw meats that are soft, tender and juicy.
The Hot Lobster Roll is their real classic roll, tossed in hot butter. My hubby ordered this one with Cheese Fries. It was quite the size and had some weight to it. Some say that their lobster rolls are the biggest in town!
The staffs here were super friendly and welcoming. The lobster roll were delicious and super filling! I am glad we got to have more of an old-fashioned, no-frills kind of lobster roll, instead of having it at some modern, fancy restaurants. The price is good and the portion is great. I would definitely go back for more!
Ben Cherian
Great lobster rolls; sweet and savoury morsels of fresh lobster on a compact bun. Service is fast even though this place is usually packed to the brim. Some seating, but this place is good for takeout. Look to spend at least 20 bucks to get a decent chunk of lobster-the quality is there for the value.
C L0978
Very friendly staff, it was towards closing in Christmas eve, we didn't know they were closing early they were accommodating and didn't try to make us feel uncomfortable in anyway to leave. Friendly to the last minute. Their sandwiches were very good. The lobster sandwich is good. My favorite is the Pauli Tician... The clan chowder is delicious as well. Definitely stop by. You won't regret it
Alicia Mahoney
Pauli's!!! This meal was a true happy shot in the arm for our family! Wicked Fresh and Crazy Good is EXACTLY right! We are in Philly, but my husband was born in Boston. We've been fortunate to have had our share of lobster rolls over the years, but THESE were among the best! AND... getting them during this terrible pandemic! We saw the GMA special and literally ordered before the segment was over. Yesterday was one of the few sunny and warm days we've had in a while, so not only did we get this outstanding meal, but we got to eat it outside so it was like you guys brought summer vacation to our backyard! Thank you Pauli's! This meal made our hearts happy!!!
Adam Szuly
Street food in the US always tastes better because of all the sauces and spices. This venue is no different, try the lobster roll and make sure you take a selfie. Dont expect too much, service only at the bar and no toilet, but the food is no disappointment. Buy a soda and pour some more sauce onto your roll from the counter if it's not juicy enough for you.
Leo Pichette
Got into Boston kinda late for a work trip and knew I wanted some seafood, without the full restaurant dining experience. Pauli’s hit the spot. Super convenient location in the north end, just a few blocks from Paul Revere’s house. I ordered with my eyes instead of my gut and I’m not sorry about it. I got the 7oz lobster roll, they have a 24oz version but I’m legitimately concerned with who could actually put that away, a 16oz clam chowder, and fries. Not the cheapest meal, but worth every penny. Highly recommend a visit!
Mike Deroche
Pauli's is not only one if my favorite sandwich places in Boston, it's one of my favorite lunch places period. It's a favorite of folks who live and work anywhere near it.
They specialize in sandwiches, and that's what you should get there.
My personal favorite: The Killer Bee. A huge portion of fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and smothered in honey mustard.
If you prefer ranch dressing, try the Mama Lucca: It's the same as the Killer Bee but with ranch instead of honey mustard.
If you want the tang of the honey mustard in the Killer Bee, but want something sweeter, then try the Jamaican Me Crazy: a close relative to the Killer Bee, which swaps out the honey mustard with a tangy BBQ sauce.
I've had all three many times, and have never felt lunch-regret about any of them.
You can choose what kind of bread you want, but you should always go with the classic braided roll.
If you want something lighter, try the California Wrap.
These sandwiches look about average size, but there is a *ton* of meat inside. I usually get around three-four pieces of fried chicken in my Killer Bee, which is a lunch portion by itself, not including the bread and the toppings. You will not leave this place hungry. These are far closer to dinner portions than they are to lunch portions.
Hovering around $8 for lunch, this is a cheap-to-average lunch for Boston. But considering how much for you get for $8, I'd say it's amazing.
Pauli's is fantastic with large group orders. At least once a month, we'll place a 30-person order the morning of, and it's ready by lunchtime. And they never complain, even though it's probably somewhat rude to throw a big order at them a couple hours before we need it.
박지영
It is really delicious!! But I should have had two rolls or ordered combo (with fries or onion ring). The bread was full of fresh lobster!!
Paul
Lobsta Roll with hot butter! This place is the best lobster roll you will ever have. The place is small and seating for maybe 15-20 people but the staff appear to be having fun and keep pumping out orders. We were in town for 3 days and we ate there 4 times! Go to little Italy and eat here if you haven't already.
darren cornea
My first stop in Boston was Pauli’s. I had the lobster roll for the first time ever. I was blown away, the flavor was out of this world. I will definitely make sure I come back here on my next trip to Boston!!
Shravan Sivakumar
Great sea food restaurant located at the north end. Went here just for the lobster roll. I tried the hot buttered lobster roll which was great. Juicy and loaded with chunks of lobster. Must say, lobster is indeed the priciest item on the menu here with everything else fairly reasonably priced. Wonder if the lobster roll here -a bit overrated?
Rash Gil
Almost missed this place so keep your eyes open when trying to find. Very popular and I can see way, enjoyable food
Erica Riehm
We came here because of the FOUR HOUR WAIT for two people at Neptune Oyster. It did not disappoint! We preferred the hot roll over the cold, but both were delicious. Highly recommend.
JaLia S.
Everytime I come to Boston I have to get the hot lobster roll and Pauli’s did not disappoint. I’ve never had pesto Mayo but I now need it with all of my garlic Parmesan fries haha
Mika McGinness
My family visited from out of town and were recommended to try their hot lobster roll. Absolutely delicious!
Robert Leitner
We went here just for the Lobster Roll. Decided to try the hot one. Melt in your mouth, great sweet/buttery flavor.
Keven Jeffery
The sandwiches and salads are good. It's not a great place to sit with a group and eat. Definitely a great place to grab something and go.
Karina Ramos
I love Pauli's! I went to Pauli's for the lobster roll while on my trip up to Boston to visit relatives and oh my goodness, it truly is the best lobster roll I ever had! If Pauli's could ship to Florida, then I would love to order their food from the comfort of my home and their food is FotG (food of the Gods) !! :)
david we
This may be the best hot butter lobster roll in The greater Boston area. This is my new go to place to impress friends visiting that want to get a New England lobster roll
Tonja Howard Jenkins
Delicious!l lobster roll and crispy fries! Supportive staff. And Mr. Pauli was super nice to our kids!
Keiko Sjostrom
Lobster Roll was well worth it! Lots of lobster in a buttery toasted bun. Switching the chips for some fries was clutch.
Sara Khalid
Had the buttered lobster roll here. It was good, just portion size was a bit small and kind of unexpected. It was really busy, but good food overall.
D Todd
Spending 25$ on this dish was worth it. You get more here than a fancy restaurant lobster tail
Ana Rueda
The hot lobster roll is DA bomb! My photo only shows half of it bc we were so eager to eat it. It is a generous portion for the price (market price). The fries are also delicious; crunchy on the outside and very tasty. The seating area is small and cozy with a couple tables and some counter seats. Overall, highly recommended.
Michael Deffenbaugh
Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. Sooooo much lobster. Loved the hot lobster roll. Clam chowder was good but not the best we had.
Jennifer Hughart
We were walking around and decided we needed a lobster roll. The place next door had a huge line so we decided to go into Pauli's. What an excellent choice, we were not disappointed!
안혜린
Hot buttered robster roll and clam cowder
Fantastic!!
But small place to eat. I think, to go is best!
30$ per person.
Ada Brown
Loved this place! I would highly recommend it to anyone. The portions were so generous I had leftovers for the next night. Great food!
Jimmy Baichulall
I only got the lobster roll and fries.
Imagine this: $28 for a lobster roll on a small hot dog bun. Fries are extra...,
Thanks Pauli but I'm good 👍🏽
Nola Lu
This is a tiny and bustling shop with tons of options for lunch! We ended up here after the wait at Neptune Oyster next door was over n hour, and totally lucked out! The lobster rolls were reasonbly priced and delicious. There was long line but service is quick so we quickly got out food and wrestled a spot to sit and eat. Lots of patrons get their food to go.
R.J. deGuzman
One of my favorite sandwich places anywhere. From the prosciutto sandwich to the killer bee to their lobster rolls, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I even tried their huge the Lobstitution sandwich once. The was the biggest lobster roll I've ever had. Haha
Krizia
Loved the lobster roll! And the pauli-tician was really tasty too! There was a line but we would take it to go again!
Nancy Bravo
We were in town for a weekend for a convention and my friends and I were underwhelmed by our dinner. With 10 minutes 'til 9 we decided to literally RUN over and made it with 4 minutes to spare... We were highly motivated. So glad we made the trek because that Lobster Roll was amazing! No pictures because we split one three ways and basically devoured it.
Alexander Cole
Super fresh and tasty sandwiches/wraps. That's pretty much the claim to fame here, according to a friend. It's been a week since I was there, so I don't quite remember what else was on the menu.
Joseph Merrick
Best french fries with parm I've ever had!
Sandwiches with fried chicken were good as well. Totally recommended.
John Gurunlian
It was ahright, good for a bite. Didn't blow my sox off. Mangia fries were pretty legit, but thier a lobster place and the roll was lacking
Ravi Yelleswarapu (Venkata)
I'm a huge fan of pauli's and would go for as to say it's probably my favorite sandwich place in Boston!
I'm vegetarian but there are many options to get. My favorite is the eggplant pesto sandwich that I think it perfect with the French bun. The sandwich is very filling and they do a great job of stuffing it with eggplant, pesto mayo and feta. I also ask for chili flakes for a bit of a kick. Got the home fries for breakfast and the serving size is huge.
I think it's much cheaper to get in person than through delivery apps so maybe worth just heading over and ordering at the store.
Gail Hatch
It is no exaggeration that Pauli's has one of the best lobster rolls in New England. The toasted buttery roll is dwarfed by an abundance of lobster which is perfectly moistened by a bit of mayonnaise. No other unneeded ingredients. Classic. Perfect.
Eda Temelli Sucu
Lobsta Roll was delicious but it's very very small. It is impossible to be saturated. California wrap was ehhh but it's very big.
Derek Wong (Dadonwong)
Try the hot lobster roll & I was happy with the portion but not so impressed by the taste. I was expecting more I guess after tasting Luke's. I will see if Portland, ME will have better lobster roll.
Nicole Harris
Hot lobster roll on a cold day was very good! Clam chowder was decent as well
Joey Manzo
Came in and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with rice pilaf and a fish and chip platter. All the food was tasty and the fish tasted fresh and hot. The burger was succulent and delicious. The fries were the crispy kind. Excalibur kind if you know restaurant food. The people working had smiles on faces and was greeted with good people. Will comeback if I’m in area again. Great staff!
Dylan Wang
Marone, we ordered a USS lobstitution, and I'm telling you, best $100 spent. The sandwhich makes you feel like you've got the makings of a varsity athlete.
Bonnie Lee
Had the hot lobster roll and New England clam chowdah! It was okay. First time having a hot lobster roll so it was good. Had better clam chowder before. Still prefer James Hook.
Bryan Nguyen
A friend recommended me to visit this place. My first lobstah roll and I was content with it. I was jetlagged and my taste buds were a bit off. Every bite is filled with lobster meat. I got the classic cold roll, next time I will try it warmed. I was expecting a bigger roll does the price but I will visit it again. There are sitting tables but can be a bit cramped.
Tania Del Pilar
Excellent hot, buttery lobster, fabulous garlic fries and their chipotle mayo made every flavor pop.
Israël Mazuera
We ordered a cold lobster roll and one hot buttered roll and they were delicious and big chunks of lobster. We paid 54 dollars for both. A bit expensive in my opinion but the quality is good but I think you can find cheaper lobster roll with similar taste.... Something I didn't like was the service... Staff weren't very friendly and approachable!
James Rogers
Best lobster rolls you can get. Buttered and cooked to perfection.
Julie Lane
We drove to the north end especially for lobster rolls and we were not disappointed! We got a hot and a cold, I preferred the hot because it was a cold fall day. So delicious!! We skipped the 2 hour wait for the place next door!😜 …
Tyler B.
Very busy sandwich shop with an incredibly large menu. We went because we heard the Lobster Rolls were the best. I really enjoyed the one I had.
S PJ
Small place mostly for take out
Great sandwiches
Fast
Great value for money
D A
Was a Steak n cheese with mushrooms lettuce pickles and tomatoes everything tastes fresh! Food great friendly service
JT
Real score 4.9
Very good hot lobsta roll! Onion rings were awesome!
I was going to go the Neptune oyster but they had a long wait. Im glad they did!
Highly recomended by many!
Arlene P
Best lobster roll ever! Good amount of meat ! Tasty! Fresh
Cristal Hewett
Tried my first hot and buttery lobster roll and it was amazing. The lobster is fresh tasted so good!

#muslimreview
The best lobster roll. Get the hot butter one! You will not regret it.
Alex Li
The portion of lobster really outweigh the hotdog bun, taste great!
Mark Griffin
Go here. The rolls were mostly all claw meat, full pieces. Not too much mayo, not too thick of rolls. The mac was ok, maybe try something else first. Try the rolls cold (can be made hot). The roll is a very filling meal (two-roll option in the container in the photo)
Dean B
Such a fun spot! Ordered the meatball sub, and it didn’t disappoint!
Catherine Vasquez
The warm lobster roll is really good!
Patrick Moore
Staff is friendly. Buttered hot lobster roll is amazing.
Mikel Hakes
I was trying to find a daycare in Michigan, but damn that food looks good. I'd give it a 10 on how good the food is, FUGGET ABOUT IT.
karen philpot
Wish we had come here more often while in the Northeast. The hot buttered lobster sandwich was the best I've had in the year we've lived in the area. Not overcooked, chewy, or rubbery. Hopefully we can make it here one more time before leaving!
Lyn Bugland
The best and I mean BEST lobster roll I've had in Boston. I'm ordering to have it delivered to me in Florida.
So much lobster on this roll one person couldn't eat the whole thing.
My first stop when I get back to Boston in Feb.
Craig Phillips
I went with warm buttery lobster roll. I prefer this style. Maybe too much butter. Roll was soggy...but it's was still quite good.
Jim Chen
They serve perfect lobster rolls. We enjoyed the food twice in three days!!
David Roszak
Great sandwiches, wraps, and pretty much everything else! We were visiting Boston and looking for a quick bite and also wanted to eat outside, which is kind of hard to find in some areas, and this place delivered on all fronts at a very reasonable price.
Also came highly recommended from our tour guide as a place locals go and specifically mentioned their lobster rolls as some of the best in the city.
Amanda Weeks
My family and I visited this place for the first time. Honestly I felt the prices for the sub sandwich was too expensive, but the food was delicious. The service was awesome. Overall we all enjoyed our food and service.
Vahid Far
My first time trying Boston lobster roll and it was amazing. I could have eaten another one right after the first
Alena Berdnikova
Hot lobster roll is the best! Must try if you're in Boston!
Ryan Smith
Was in from Texas and was looking for a great Lobster roll. After trying a cold roll from a local chain that was just ok a few days before I decided to give the famous lobster roll 1 more try. And after much research I decided to go to Pauli's to give theirs a try since the warm roll appealed to my taste buds more. The guy working the Cash register was great and patient and he could sense how big of a decision it was for me. After all it was my last meal in Boston before flying back to Texas. I got the warm lobster roll with extra warm garlic butter on the side. The roll was heavenly! The bun was toasted on the grill to perfection. When I go back to Boston I will without a doubt go back to Pauli's!!!
Cristine Berglund
Good food but it’s a really small place and it was completely packed when I got there. I would recommend that you take the food to the park nearby and enjoy it there.
Kyle McFerren
The menu is a little overwhelming, so you might want to decide what you want before you get there. Very small space, but plenty of outdoor seating at the nearby park.
Angela Routsis
I was SO excited to go here and I think my expectations were higher than they should have been. I have clearly never been before and did not know it had no parking so called to see the best place to park and felt the reaction to the question was more of a why are you bothering me than a trying to help me tone. The first answer was we have plenty of parking, um no you dont. After i explained i drove an hour and do not know the area I was given the name of a parking garage. We walked over and it was a nice short walk. Went in and no one greeted us or said anything. I walked up to the counter and order 2 lobster rolls and 2 sodas. We got hot lobster rolls and then i asked about the sodas and he said you get them yourself which is fine but i had no idea. We sat outside and went back in to grab our food. The food was a decent portion and definitely hot and buttered, but the meat was tough and had a tin like flavor so I assume the lobster meat comes from a can.
The experience was poor, the service was even worse and the food was not as good as I expected. Will not be going back.
Tiffany N. Arango
I got the grilled chicken mac and cheese. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.
朱俊立
Nice place. The lobster roll is good, but too small and a little expensive.
Johnny Z.
Fantastic lobster rolls! They really stuffed the buns with plenty of lobster! Hot buns, chips, and lobster for under $20. Seating is available inside.
Sean
Do not wait in that stupid line at Neptune. The lobster roll here is divine.
Over 1/2 the locals coming in ordered a Super Mario; must be good.
Mike Kohler
Nice clean place with great food. I just happened to be walking by and almost missed it. Very small and not much seating area but I recommend it.
Stephanie Dentler
I came here twice on a recent trip to Boston. Randomly walking by and decided to try it. I had the meatball sub the first time - simple and delicious and a generous portion. I had half one day and half another and it was plenty! The second time I tried the hot buttered lobster roll. Amazing. So much lobster meat!! The people working there were attentive and efficient so I didn't wait long. They do have the ability to order online, which I should have done and it seemed most other customers were doing. They were just able to walk in, confirm which bag was theirs and go!
The first time I went there were picnic benches set up outside, which was nice. The second time was later in the day and they weren't there, so I just stood and ate on the traffic barrier. I mean, still delicious, but keep in mind there is no indoor seating and...only sometimes outside seating? Again, most people seemed to be getting to go so I think I was the outlier.
Prince Lawson
I honestly wasn't impressed with the food. It wasn't THAT bad, but I definitely expected more. The clam chowder wasn't seasoned well at all. However, the service was quick, and the staff was friendly, which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2.
George Konstas
Food is amazing! Lobster sub is the best!
Definitely a must visit!
Jon
Nice little spot adorned with photos of celebrities who've visited, quick service, and fantastic lobster rolls.
Mo Y
Lobster roll is absolutely epic! I screwed up the order and got lobster over a salad instead of lobster over a roll. They fixed my order right away without charging me extra and gave me a cookie too.
Stephen DiBenedetto
A little gem in the North End. Everything is freshly made, doesn’t come from a bag or is pre-cooked and the menu is gigantic. I hear lobster Rolls on the way to go. I’m not a big lobster fan so I got the Tuscan chicken sandwich and it was by far the best one I’ve ever eaten.
Alex Ing
Always a must when coming down to Boston. The lobster roll has a decent amount of lobster and tastes very good. I also tried the Mama Luca wrap and it is pretty big and is also very good. Fries are crispy and well seasoned. I strongly recommend to try it.
justin babcock
This place was awesome!! Great food at a reasonable price for the area. Whole family could find something to eat. The fat Felix is INSANE highly recommend.
Taylor Sones
I've ordered multiple times working at the hospital from Pauli's with no problem, always good. Today I ordered through Grubhub and my sandwich was missing out of 15 items with a broken bag. I looked at the receipt and my sandwich was marked off as if it was put in the bag. I called the restaurant and was told there was nothing they could do and told me contact Grubhub for a refund unless I have someone that could come back and get it. This is disappointing as the Grubhub driver told me he asked for the items to be checked and for a new bag while at the restaurant and the restaurant refused this. I will be reconsidering where we order out from lunch from here on out and choosing a different restaurant.
Kara Welch
Amazing, chunky lobster roll!
Levi Sutton
Pauli’s hot lobster roll changed my life today. I will be thinking about how good this was for years to come.
Ashley Johns
Look, this is the best affordable sandwich spot in all of the north end. The north end is surrounded by great food but locals know that Pauli’s is a solid go to for lunch or early dinner. Always busy, but worth the wait. When you take a look at the menu you get the local vibe you were looking for and can tell this place is special. The staff is always so nice too.
S.A. Mclaughlin
Food was really good! They dropped our burger on the ground so apologized, made us a new one, and gave us 2 free cookies in compensation. Excellent hospitallity!
Jenée Brown
Warm lobster roll in butter and garlic parmesan fries. That’s all I can say!
Robert Drake
Pauli's is a North End institution.great sandwiches. They have a chicken parm sandwich so big an NFL football player could not finish it.
The lobster rolls are great.
Gluten-free and Vegans might want to skip this place. Wheelchair folks should call ahead.
Note that there is no bathroom.
Jordan Hill
Amazing Lobster Roll!
Lynn Brooks
By far the best lobster roll in Boston!
Bailey
We had a pretty decent meal at Pauli's. I had the turkey club and fries and my boyfriend had a lobster roll with chips.
Pauli's is a tiny place churning out lots of food VERY quickly. I was really impressed with the sheer amount of people and food they served in the time I was eating there. Not lots of seats, but we got lucky and managed to find a corner to sit in and people watch as we wolfed down our lunch.
I liked the fries the best. The portion was pretty darn good for three dollars. They were hot, crispy, and not too oily. You get like half a bag for three dollars. Yay!
My club was good. The bacon was nice and crispy and the turkey wasn't at all slimy. The bread was at times a little overwhelming, and I personally would have liked a little more ranch. Pretty good, though, and a HUGE sandwich. I was stuffed all afternoon.
My boyfriend had mixed feelings about the lobster roll. It was pretty darn expensive, but I'm not from lobster country so I'm not sure what an appropriate price would be. He said that his problems with it were probably less the roll being bad and him just being unused to eating lobster in such a fashion (he found the texture a little gummy). However, he did feel like the hot dog type bun the small roll was served on didn't hold up to the meat very well.
At any rate, we enjoyed Pauli's for a quick and flavorful lunch. Check out the fries!
Craig Shaw
Had my first lobster roll here. Lobster was really fresh. Well dressed.
pham huyen
We tried 'hot buttered' lobster rolls, their lobster was fresh and tasty!
Timothy Koeth
Incredible food and great prices. Good for every meal of the day.
I lived down the street in the North End for four years and ate at Pauli's 3-5 times a week. Breakfast special #2 on the weekends. Pauli-tician and California Wrap for Lunch or Dinner. Steak tip salad for Dinner. (and, of course, Cheeseburger subs for those TOUGH days).
Nice neighborhood feel. Good people.
Wilmer Tam
Great lobster roll hot or cold. Great price for it. Fast and easy with no wait most of the time.
A Murrell
Great buttery lobster roll. Worth the calories.
Ioana Negulescu
Really good lobster roll. Simple and with very little mayo, so you can actually taste the lobster meat.
Sonyah
This place is AWESOME. The restaurant was on the show triple d. The food is so good. I had the killer bee sandwich and the chicken was so tender and juicy. Boston has some good food. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in town.
Christine Wang
Good food, and the price is very reasonable. The hot lobster roll tastes awesome, stuffed with enough lobster meat. The 7-piece chicken strips costs $8-9, enough for my lunch and dinner. They are usually busy, so you may need to wait a bit long to have your order ready and don't expect too much from the high quality service there.
Andrea Wu
I got a hot lobster roll with onion rings, and it was quite tasty. The lobster roll was really tiny though, and the bread was really soft. There was a decent amount of lobster I guess, but the bun was just super tiny; I was shocked by the size especially because it cost $25.13 post-tax. The onion rings were crisp as they should be. This served as a snack for sure; if I were actually hungry, I could have eaten another meal afterward.
Nathaly
Went in to try a lobster roll for the first time. I didn't want to wait on line at Neptune's and I'm happy I didn't. We just wanted a quick stop before going to an escape room and this worked out perfectly. My husband and I went in, ordered, devoured our plumpy, perfectly chilled lobster chunks in a fresh, toasted bun in minutes. So good and worth every penny. Would definitely recommend this place!
Kristina Henderson
Like at Eventide, I ordered a cold and lobster roll. This time around I took the hot roll since I liked it better at Eventide and my wife chose the cold lobster roll. Although the the hot lobster roll at Paulis was good, the cold one was way better. Both were full of lobster meat and well worth the price they were charging. The hot lobster roll just had way to much butter and once we got to the end roll, the bun was drenched in butter
Tiffanie H.
Love the lobster roll and great customer services
Jo-Ann Mishchuk
Was told this was the best lobster roll in town... Well it was nothing special, lacked flavor including the advertised lemon and butter. It was also very small so not worth the price. The fries however were amazing, some of the best fries I've had in a while. If it wasn't for the fries if give this place a 3/5.
Margaret Hui
They have a great selection of subs and sandwiches. We were there for warm butter lobster rolls. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. They were delicious but I always get very thirsty after eating the lobster roll. It has a few four tables and s few windows seats for dine in. It is located in north end part of Itailian area. It is great area to walk around.
Robert Moore
New to Boston! Loved the Vito! Great vibes and customer service! Will be back!!
Garnell D-Ware
Best Lobster rolls in town! Returned to Boston to see my son and had to check them out and was truly pleased. Man the amount of Lobster and just a touch of mayo..perfection! Ate one outside there and had one to go!!
Christina Lay
Had the lobster roll (hot) and fries, and both came out to $24. Loved the fries but thought the lobster roll was just ok. It was a bit on the smaller side for the price and there was a little bit too much butter that it drenched the bun and made it soggy. Wide menu with a large variety of sandwiches and sides. It's fine if you want to satisfy a lobster roll craving and want good fries, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Dan Nguyen
Lobster roll was absolutely delicious! Love their bread.
Miriam Davidson
Staff wasn’t very kind when I’ve been there, but the lobster roll was just amazing.
Debbie Stallings
I received my lobster roll kit yesterday and my whole family was so impressed by the quality and amount of lobster. I used the recipe provided and everything was delicious. When all this craziness is over I can't wait to come to Boston and visit your restaurant in person.
Brian W
Wife saw the sale on GMA and immediately ordered 8 lobster rolls. We visit Maine annually and with the current environment, haven't been able to go yet. My Dad, Uncle and Aunt live in a retirement community. My Aunt grew up in the New England area and when visiting would talk about Maine lobster and that there's no comparison. We had them delivered on a Thursday and visited family on Friday. Couldn't have been happier. Sorry, but we like ours with just butter so warmed the lobster in a butter bath and toasted the buns with butter. The lobster melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. Brought back plenty of memories and will definitely buy again. Thank you for making a memorable experience for our family.
Henson Domingo
Ordered the lobstitution and it was Amazing! Packed with so much lobster with no fillers.
Rebecca Hager
My parents received there lobster roll package. I sent it to them for their 40th wedding anniversary. They were so happy to receive such a unique gift and I cannot wait to try it. It had so much lobster and it looked so good that they’re thinking they can have several meals out of what was it to them I sent it to them for their 40th wedding anniversary. They were so happy to receive such a unique gift and I cannot wait to try it. It had so much lobster and it looked so good that they’re thinking they can have several meals out of what was sent to them. I can’t believe the price that I paid for as much food as it was. I am very happy in and would definitely order again. I wish I could give more than five stars.
Jolanda Dowell (Pete)
The Lobster Roll was amazing. I've head a few other lobster rolls in North Carolina on the coast and each was some mixture of nasty fake lobster meat with some nasty sauce. Pauli's gave me a great roll with loads of quality buttered lobster meat. I can't wait to go back. The restaurant was crowded around lunch time and the locals were getting lots of other sandwiches so I'm going to take a leap of faith and say that the lobster roll might not be the best sandwich on the menu. I highly recommend you go and try anything on the menu.
Brian Scanlon
Got lobster rolls they were good but the loaded fries with like chicken bacon and honey mustard were over rated just seemed like I could of got chicken fingers and fries and put some honey mustard on them lol but all good the lobster was good the buttery rolls
Ganesh B
I recommend this place for the lobster roll. We stopped by here during our last visit to Boston.
From outside it looks like a hole in the wall with minimal seating. The prices may appear a bit higher for the overall appearance. However, once you take a bite out of that hot lobster roll and enjoy the mouthful of the deliciously sweet lobster meat, you will not regret visiting this place. While we were there, a lots of folks ordered the roll to go.
It is now in my 'visit again' list.🙂
Jin Zhao
Fairly good. Their staff looked angry if you didn’t hear they call your name for the first time.
Liberry Lady
Really great, really affordable. Husband and I went here our first night in Boston as we decided the rave reviews of their lobster rolls couldn't all be off. We weren't disappointed, the lobster roll was great, and the chicken parm sandwich and steak salad were pretty great too! We were hungry after a long drive and weren't disappointed at all.
Service can be a bit curt - it's just an order joint, so you definitely have to speak up, and quickly, but that's not a problem for me at all. It's all about the good food here, it's a clean, but otherwise totally no-frills place. Well worth the visit.
Marian Palionis
Sent the lobster roll kit to my daughter and her husband for her birthday as a surprise since I could not be with her. I saw them on GMA steals and deals. She face timed with me and the package was beautifully presented. My daughter called later to say that the lobster rolls were delicious; one of the best birthday presents ever! Thank you!
Jackson M
Wow! Got a flyer for this place in the mail a while back and the menu looked good. Ordered delivery and it was LIGHTNING fast (like arrived in 20 minutes), faster than anywhere in my neighborhood. The food was sooooo good!!! Got the fish and chips, and the mozzarella sticks. The fish and chips were great, loaded with fries and onion rings. My boyfriend said the moz sticks were “amazing”! We will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!
Nathaniel Hott
I stopped by Pauli's for a lobster roll. The flavor was great, and the lobster was tender, but the size was incredibly small compared to other New England/ East Coast locations I've been. Maybe it's a Boston thing, as I was only passing through, but for $20 I expect more than a small hotdog bun with lobster.
Nathan T. Tervort
Two words LOBSTER ROLL. They have a cold one and a warm butter roll. I couldn't decide so I bought both of them. I still cant decide. The cold one holds together better and is easier to eat. The warm one was every bit as good. My wife got the lobster grilled cheese. Lots of fresh perfectly cooked meat on all of them. Believe the reviews.
Mandy
Amazing food! I love getting the steak and cheese it's always delicious! I also love the ziti and meatballs. Ordering from here is always worth it.
Nicholas Snavely
Lobster roll was hotdog bun size. Way too small for the $29 paid.
Kathryn Garbuzinski
I've never been disappointed by anything I've had here, but USS Lobstitution is incredible. Truly Flavortown. There is limited seating so be prepared to eat elsewhere but the food is great
Ben Joyce
Best steak and cheese I’ve had in a while
Tita Perreault
Will be a faithful regular at Pauli's! We stopped in for lunch, and ordered the Lobster Roll Sub with butter, a Steak Bomb, and Buffalo Wings. Both subs were stuffed with meaty goodness, prices were reasonable, and the staff was great. By the way, the menu has something for everyone, it will definitely have you coming back to try more.
Mr. Metzendorf
I been to all the sub shops around town; this is my favorite. The reason why, nice customer service, and quality food at reasonable prices (I.e Italian sub) This place has many sandwiches, refreshments and sides too. I sincerely recommend going to Pauli’s sub shop (there is an ocean view with picnic tables+numerous parks about 1/3 mile walk)
Ashley Nordsiek
I came to Pauli’s 5-6 years ago for the first time. Since then... I have always said that was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. And let me just say... I don’t even like lobster!!😂 I only tried it then because I was in Boston and lobster/seafood is obviously a thing. My friend swore by it. Tonight I went there to have that lobster roll that I tried for the first time 5 years ago. It was everything that I remembered it to be and more! Pauli was even there himself... which says something about an owner being there on a Saturday night. He’s super nice too! Even though the lobster roll is a little pricey ($18)... Pauli does NOT skimp on the lobster in the roll. And it’s amazing. And worth every penny. I HIGHLY recommend this place.
steve daniels
Great little diner with a nice selection of sandwiches. Cold lobster roll is very minimally dressed but cooked tender and has great flavor. Chowder is just the right richness. And no sand!!
Only seats about 20 but they deliver and are good for take out. It's a place the locals go.
Nice and friendly staff too.
Alex Forbes
Bread was really good (sesame bun) great proportions of pickles, hots, and lettuce. However the three meats in this our salami, bologna, and polish ham (which I love in the right sandwich) but an Italian with polish ham? The only Italian thing in it was salami. Solid sandwich but not sure it even qualifies as an Italian.
Kyle MacNichol
The food here is definitely delicious. I find the portions very small though which is pretty annoying. Makes the dishes expensive. Lobster rolls are delicious (prefer the warm), but, again, very small. I had two and could probably eat two more afterwards. Same with the subs. Had one and could easily eat another (and no, I'm not a big guy).
Samantha Yi
All you need to know is that yea, it definitely lives up to its reputation of dang good lobster rolls.
Bruno Fernandes
Very good lobster rolls, french fries and onion rings.
Dale & Jamee Metzger
Amazing!!!! The guys that work here are awesome! The Lobster Rolls are the BEST!!!!!
Jake Chalik
Amazing hidden gem of Boston. Food was incredible and lobster was amazing
Frank Gray
Went for the hot buttered lobster roll....which was very good. Clam chowder was ok. $40 for small roll and small chowder.
Briana Butler
Stopped in by chance while touring Boston. Only ordered a sub and wrap, but service was great and received our order quickly. Greek wrap was amazing , but did not love the Pesto in the Tuscan sub. Lacked flavor and overall the sandwich was dry. Would go there again to try other items- and there is plenty to choose from!
Susanna Wang
Great food... Loaded lobster roll with big pieces not shredded lobster meat... Had to order a second roll after the first one, it's that good. Small place but very friendly staff. Definitely the place to check out in while walking at North End neighborhood.
Bryan Douglas
Had the fish and chips.
It was a great choice. In hindsight, I wish I had tried their famous lobster rolls.
I'll have to leave that until next time :)
The location is down a nice, charming street in the North End of Boston.
Next time I am in Boston, I will return.
Jon Cook
Came here because of DDD and got the Fat Felix. I loved it! If I had more room I wouldn't have had to pack half away. I would've just ate it right then and there!
Rob Fisher
North End classic and one of the best places to grab a lobster roll for a reasonable price. The lobster rolls come two ways, warm or cold classic. Both are under $20, come absolutely loaded with lobster and the free bag of chips is a nice touch. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is chilled, nothing fancy but nothing short of great food and a good stop-in if you are exploring the North End
Kelsey BB
Located in North End so very busy with limited seating. The fish and chips were pretty good, hot and cold lobster rolls are tasty. All food is high priced but a lot of great Italian lunch options.
rccarz5
Food was very good. One party members burger took a while to be prepared, we were finished eating by the time their food arrived. Pricing was reasonable as well.
Angela Hong
Casual quick grab where you can get breakfast to dinner. Small space, quality food and friendly service.
Alina Bear
Best lobster roll that I ever had
zani
This is a great place to get a lobster roll. You can get it in both styles, cold with mayo or hot with butter. I chose hot with butter and it was really flavorful and satisfying. It is situated in Boston's historic North End in a very walkable section of the city. Hopefully lobster will be cheaper next season so I can try the gigantic 25 oz roll.
They also claim to make a Philly-style cheesesteak which I will have to try sometime as a Philadelphia native that has moved to Boston. I am happy to say Boston is a great eating city just like Philly.
Kalidindi Subhash
Very good lobster roll. The order was ready within 5mins.
Delia Gott
This place is a gem! If you're looking for a nice lunch in the North End - go here! They have generous portions and everything is delicious. The staff is always super kind and friendly.
Do splurge for the lobster rolls sometimes too...
J H
The customer service is exemplary. There was an issue with my order and it was resolved with a smile and apology. The clam chowder, lobster grilled cheese and lobster roll were spectacular. Definitely make this a stop in the north end!
Nick Swearngin
Pauli's was great, good food and good and quick service, very reasonably priced.
Jacob Kesey
Pauli's - One word - Amazing! I've only tried lobster rolls a few times in my life but I have to say they might be the best creation I've ever tasted. Expect exceptional service and great food including authentic Boston sandwiches, lobster rolls, seafood and more that I haven't had the chance to get to yet. Next time I'm in Boston you'll definitely find me here at least once during the week.
Kyle McCoy
Food was great, albeit expensive. Lobster rolls were $25, cup of chowder was $8. But the taste was amazing!
Jill Graham
Husband has lobster roll and onion rings. Onion rings are fantastic! I had a chicken Alfredo in sauce with pasta and it was fantastic!
Ann M
My shipment arrived friday morning and I was amazed at the amount of lobster meat inside. I know there is 2 pounds of meat but it looked like more. You also get pepperidge farm rolls a lemon and the cutest bottle of hellman's mayo. I cut down on lobster meat for only 4 rolls followed the dirctions and had enough left over for lobster scampi Saturday night. I would HIGHLY recommend Paulis!! I live in NJ and they delivered it right on time. I am so impressed and will definitely order again!! Thank you so much!!!
Saqib Abdullah
Very good sandwiches (I got the cold lobster roll - i wish I could have tried the hot as well). Service was great and fast. I might have been lucky, but no super long lines like some other places in the North End (long lines don't necessarily mean superior service or food - actually, sometimes it means inferior service BECAUSE they have long lines).
Nivardo Almazan
Best clam chowder I've had! Lobster rolls are heavenly! Chicago approved!
Thomas Ho
Excellent lobster roll (claw and knuckle meat only) , the chowder was rich and the paulitician was alright. One note. Do not order from door dash. Just call for your order to be picked up. I was upcharged over 35% and door dash said the restaurant sets the ridiculously high prices.
Christopher Croteau
Went to Pauli's for lunch with my cousin Vinny... from Boston. He raves about it. Seriously...going to Boston? want a good authentic Italian deli? You better goes to Pauli's!
If you don't, your loss! End of story!
Bailey Strangis
Pollo pazzo was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. HIGHLY recommend.
Mary Ann Woelfling
WOW.....received our Lobster rolls today and now enjoying for dinner!! So fresh and delicious! Saw the Deals and Steals segment on @gma. Had the order in before the end of the segment. Thank you to @pauli's for sharing your excellent product! Looking forward to ordering again 🙂 …
Jordan Ronell
Totally good basic sandwiches. Fast good service. No tap water so you have to buy bottled. Very nice outdoor seating. Overall pretty good experience.
Sharath Bennur
Great sandwiches, fast service and very good clam chowder. It had a divey feel, and is located off the main streets, but it seemed really popular with the locals and regulars. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quick bite. Be warned, seating is limited and there might be a wait at rush hour.
Anastasiya Turbal
Amazing lobster rolls
Justin Santos
Very popular spot in the North End for some of the cheapest prices on takeout food that I've found so far. Everything they have is good that I've ordered. Very busy place and the food is great tasting. Free Parking near here is near non-existent so great if your a tourist in town walking around.
Mia Bella
Just delicious. My brother and I enjoyed the hot buttered (lobster sandwich). Best food decision while in town.
Brian Morrison
The local quick join where everyone is friendly and The Best around for the $$$. The subs are bomb, you really can't go wrong. I really enjoy the chilli and the steak and salad/rice pilaf is a great pick for a full meal. The chicken cutlet club on a braided roll is to die for and comes out perfect everytime. For the neighborhood they heave great hours and you know they always have everything, can't beat it.
Omar Stefan
The lobster rolls are tiny, and quite overpriced. In general food is good, chowder and fish sandwich are delicious.
M Gallo
Ordered the 2' USS Lobstertution. It didn't come in one large roll, they cut 2 foot long rolls into 4 pieces. A little disappointed in that. I wanted it in 1 giant roll. I've had better rolls, this was just to say I ate a 2' lobster roll. Staff was excellent.
Tinesh Madan
Butter overload with the hot bun lobster roll!! But totally worth coming closer to death!! Enjoyed the food.
Jonathan Kirkland
Being raised in the Pacific Northwest, I know good seafood and I consider myself somewhat of a snob when it comes to this subject matter. The one thing we don’t get locally in the Pacific Northwest is lobster (we import it from the Northeast). I was told by a friend who recently graduated from Harvard that Pauli’s was a must, and I am very glad they told me about it because they had the best lobster roll I have ever had. Ever. It was quite large but I had no issue finishing it because it was that good. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Boston area that loves seafood. I will definitely be back here on my next trip to Boston.
Jon Sonnenschein
Rock solid sub shop in the North End. Got the 'world famous lobster roll' and I wasn't disappointed. Big chunks of lobster. Nice and warm. Just the right amount of butter. I'll be back.
Ron Rivera
Great subs, very reasonable prices. Also a DDD spot as of 5/2019. If in Boston a must stop.
Thomas
The lobster roll was really good, but a bit expensive 68$ for two rolls with fries
Zach Badamo
In search of the “best” lobsta roll I came to Pauli’s. I will say the roll was delicious and great quality lobster, however, I left hungry. The $20 roll wasn’t worth the price especially when finding a chunk of shell in the center.
Dan Russell
These guys are the best. I’m never cooking again. Portions are great, food tastes awesome, value is amazing. On top of that they are super quick and have amazing attitude.
Keep up the great work guys!
Justin Kleiber
Got the hot buttered lobster roll. It and the fries were great. I'll be back to try the cold one next time!
Andrea Cafarelle
Lobstah roll!!! Can't believe i didn't know about this place for so long. Their lobster roll is a generous portion of huge chunks of lobster meat ona toasted buttered roll. They've got a warm roll option as well, but i prefer the original. If you're not in the mood for seafood, their steak bomb is a perfect alternative. Space can be tight. So order to go and eat on Rose Kennedy Greenway.
PhrozenTech
An great place to get a sandwich, away from the rest of the cities other establishments. It's worth the trip while in town to get at least one great sandwich before leaving
Munish Ghai
Great sandwich and lobster place. The customer service is fantastic.
Judy
We are from Mass but live in SC. Due to pandemic, our annual summer vacation home will not take place and no annual lobster roll. I was thrilled that you did the GMA deals and steals special!it was delicious! Thank you!
August Rabe
It was delicious, but $20 for a small lobster roll is way too much. If I return, I'll probably get more clam chowder which was wonderful.
Jamie Wolfrom
This is where you get a lobster roll you couldn't have asked for a nicer staff
Robert “Just Bob” De Gange
What a place! I wanted a simple 'supper' in an area where chefs rule. All I had was a simple BLT, and simple onion rings. Found it to be simply delicious.Small place, but very well run. Go early, especially if you want to dine in.
Kristian Ehlert
Great choice as a low budget option with large selection of sandwiches, wrapes, burgers, etc, some including fish /lobster. Nice busy, industrial atmosphere with seating available. Quality and quantity are clearly beyond average for th price point.
Ashley Santiago
Tuna melt and the chicken boda bang were phenomenal and the wings weren’t skimpy. They were meaty snd crispy. Frankly they were the best wings I’ve ever had. The fries were also very good. If you go after lunch and everything is restocked. Super clean and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. My best friend and i will definitely be back- haverhill ladies 💕
Carlos
Not a bad fast-food lobster roll, but temper your expectations. Although lobster is clean, it doesn’t “taste” fresh. Not a home run, not bad. For the price, better go to Luke’s lobster.
Clemens Wan
What a cute little deli in the middle of Little Italy in Boston! To be honest, you'll probably go here if Neptune's Oyster is too full and you're just jonesing for a lobster roll after walking the freedom trail for 2 hours.
This was the perfect stop for me. I didn't want to eat too much food before dinner and so I split a lobster roll with my gf. I think she ate most of it because it was so good and I was in a generous mood for sharing.
What I like about this lobster roll (unlike others) is that it's just big chunks of lobster claw and tail bits with no extra mayo or other stuff to change the flavor. Albeit, Abbott's in Connecticut has the fresh factor because they literally kill the lobster in the back made to order, but Pauli's was actually pretty damn good. It would have been nice if it were a little hotter, but the portions are generous as lobster rolls go and I really savored the taste.
Irina Miralda
My boyfriend and I shared the lobster Mac & cheese and were completely blown away by how good it was. Instead of macaroni pasta, it was made with penne and had a more liquid cheese sauce than what I'm used to for Mac & cheese. Nonetheless, it was so delicious and the bread crumbs were a nice finishing touch. It'sizeable portion that easily fed both of us! Would definitely recommend.
Danielle Brody
What an amazing team they have at this place ! Pauli and his staff go above and beyond. We ordered them today for the first time and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend ordering their catered food for any corporate event ! They deliver on time , fresh food and the employees could not get Enough ! If I could post 10 stars I would!
Anmol B
Their warm buttered lobster rolls are one of the best I have had. The amount of lobster could have been a bit more though.

Came here for dinner since every other place had a 1.5-2 hour wait on a Sat evening.
1. Lobster sub with hot butter, 36
~Really good. Generous portions (enough for 2 people), and the best lobster roll I've had in Boston.
2. Caprese salad, 8
~Disappointing. The basil was wilted, and there were too many onions.
Service was okay. Had to ask about the chips.
Chris Brussow
Very good. Hot lobster roll was hot and delicious. Reasonable price, fast (I was there at 4pm). Fries were hot and super crispy.
Jaron Avance
This was my first Lobstaaah roll. This was great. Tender, fresh, and soooo delicious. It was warmed and in butter. The bun was toasted and warm. Definitely worth it.
Wei-Hsuan Hsu
The classic cold lobster roll with hotdog bun is extremely perfect! The best lobster roll in Boston! I was only in Boston for two days, and I came here for their cold lobster roll during these two days. Love here!!! Gonna miss their cold lobster roll.
Jeremy Bake
Though I haven't eaten everything on the menu, there's so many choices I'm sure I never will, a number of my go to dinner options come from Paul's. I've always found the portion sizes plenty filling, and hit it up often for breakfast lunch, and or dinner. And as somehow always goes with my favorite places, the staff is great.
Tong Jin
Kudos to classic cold lobster roll and hot lobster rolls! Very fresh and well seasoned. Clam chowder is a big plus. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Katrina Garcia
Came here for the Lobster Roll and Clam Chowder! They did not disappoint! A little bit pricey for a small roll but you're traveling and it is so good therefore it is worth it.
KC BarberLife
Great customer service
Nicole D'Andrea
Hired Pauli's for a 150 guest resident event on our rooftop. Food was great and service was better. The event was a success thanks to Johnatan Stefano and David. They were so accommodating to us and our residents. They were amazing. We will be using them again in the very near future!
Rosie Di Troia
Pauli's was amazing! The service was great; the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was prepared quickly. They have both outdoor tables and indoor barstools.
Diane Brackett
Huge menu, great prices, and hot, delicious food. This is one of my go-to places. Never been disappointed. I love the broccoli chicken ziti alfredo (I ask for extra broccoli and less pasta, and they are willing to customize!). They serve it fresh and piping hot. Also highly recommend the steak tip salad and buffalo chicken salad.
Iris MacKinnon
I am always satisfied when I order from Pauli's, and I love how supportive they are of the larger community. When the gov't workers were furloughed in the early months of 2019, Pauli's supported those workers and their families generously. I just ordered a few delicious items for a quick pickup during this quarantine, and their system is super efficient. The food hasn't suffered at all despite the uncertainty of the world, and their service hasn't suffered either. Even their chicken fingers stay crispy while being transported home, and their wraps are so fresh and abundant with all the fixings. Im a customer for life.
Malaki Lewis
Amazing sandwiches and the melted butter lobster rolls was to die for. Did not take long from my order to pickup
Jessie Ramos
Received our GMA deal of this awesome, sweet, scrumptious box of deliciousness. From east to way west in Phoenix AZ, me and my son, enjoying every roll we make.. thank you Tory, and Pauli's. It made our pandemic quarantine a yummy memory.
Michael Tomas
Food was good, fresh, and reasonably-priced.
Shane
Delicious sandwiches and salad. Friendly service. Recommend.
Nancy Fawakhiri
Best food I’ve eaten in the entire country. We ordered lobster rolls and they were sublime, we also ordered the PuPu platter -the name sounds ridiculous but the whole thing was delicious.
Ann Hua
disclaimer: this review is not about their lobster roll
i swung by pauli's right before my flight out of boston because i knew it would be a long night with a connecting flight and i wouldn't have any other time to grab food. i had eaten lunch at neptune oyster just a few hours earlier and wasn't about to blow more $$ on another lobster roll, so i asked what was popular. the lady working recommended the killer bee and all the ingredients sounded good. my sandwich was made super quickly and conveniently packaged to take to go. it was a warm sandwich, but by the time i made my way onto the plane about 45 min later, it had of course gotten cold. however, idk how good this sandwich would have been warm since it was the blandest thing ever. the chicken was also on the dry side, but i can't even describe it-- everything was just a blend of one flavor... of nothingness. pretty disappointing for a sandwich costing ~$9... and considering there was probably a much better option nearby for an epic last meal from boston.
update -- the manager/owner reached out to discuss my experience with their sandwich and offered to send a gift card to use on my next visit. extra star for being considerate of guest feedback. :) i look forward to giving pauli's another try the next time i'm in boston!
Kathleen Boutwell
Pauli`s, I can`t get enough of your California wrap!!! It`s simply DELICIOUS!!!!!! After I took some menus back to work for my colleges, they are always calling or coming in for sandwiches! I should get a discount for getting you all this business, LOL... Anyways, I`ve got to try your world famous Lobster roll one of these days cause it looks amazing when I see people eating it there plus, with all these good reviews about it online, I can`t go wrong with it. One more thing though, what a nice atmosphere you`ve got going in that place Pauli!!! The music, the crew with all their jokes, knowing a lot of your costumers by name with great customer service, you guys are the BEST!!!!!
Gabrielle Barker
Pauli's has the best lobster roll in Boston, chunks of meat with a little mayo on a grilled hot dog roll. I also love their subs and wraps - Mama Lucca - crispy chicken, bacon, ranch dressing provolone, lettuce and tomato - its the BEST>
This place is great, the staff is wonderful. I have tried everything from the subs and wraps to the steak tips, burger, pasta and fish and chips. This is where to eat in the North Ender.
Anee
Pauli's is a great lunch spot because it has plenty of variety. While the inside seating isn't ideal, there is plenty of seating in the park. I enjoy the pesto pasta along with steak strip sandwich. You can make your own sandwiches and the specials are great too.
Andrew James
Got the hot roll.
The lobster was really really good. The bun portion couldn't stand up to the hot butter and melted, was unfortunate because it all fell apart. But the taste was quite good.
Alex Mullen
Hot buttered lobster roll is delicious! So rich & buttery & the meat is tender and sweet.
Adam Intinarelli
Great food! My friend got the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and I got the Pauli-tician made with fresh basil, mozzarella slices, tomatoes, prosciutto, and fried chicken topped with a balsamic vinaigrette. Delicious food, will definitely be returning when I visit Boston again!
Matt Ramos
I've been a big fan of Pauli's for over a year now. I'm telling you, if you're trying to find the best lobster rolls in town, don't leave without giving Pauli's a shot. I don't live in Boston, but spend quite a bit of time there and make sure I stop by Pauli's every time. I recommended them to a friend of mine who is now a pretty frequent catering customer as well. Yes, they'll send tons of sandwiches and lobster rolls to your door if you want. Can't beat that!
I can't wait for my next trip up to Boston so I can stop by, I'm ready for another.
J Sutherland
Best hot buttered lobster roll! I’ve tried multiple lobster rolls but these are my favorite! Quick service and worth waiting for.
Jesse Underdog
A perfect sandwich shop. Amazing food, nicely decorated, clean, great staff, easy to read menu, affordable, quick, not overcrowded. No issues with paying by card, you can sit down.
Dottie Scarpinato
This restaurant is in Boston. Very typical for the area. Order at the counter then find a table to share. Long tables. Very small place. I had a delicious lobster roll
Kymberlee Buntyn
The chicken was DRY and hard for me to eat, it got stuck in my teeth. The workers there were kind.
youssef [email protected]
It was good but didn’t have any lemon in it. When I asked for a lemon wedge, they said that they don’t have fresh lemon and they gave me the artificial lemon juice which tasted like dish soap.
Kyle Corneau
I work out of Hartford CT as a traveling Lunch & Learn Trainer for Pre-Fabricated Fire Proof Columns and I ALWAYS use Pauli's for our catering / Lunch & Learn needs when I'm in the Boston area. They have always been on time and it's the best food I have found in the city that delivers. We order from them around 4 times a month and have never had a complaint, only raving reviews from our attendees.
Michelle Barker
You have to try Paul's sandwiches and wraps. I am hooked on grilled chicken California wrap and their burgers, but I love Pauli's Steak Tip Greek wrap. Great place for a nice meal or takeout. The service and staff is great. We have also used them a few times for catering - BIG HIT.
Kristy Thibodeau
I took my dad and nephew to Pauli's in the North End and needless to say they left fully satisfied and with a doggie bag to bring home. They shared the Lobstertution (25 oz of lobster meat on 2 footlong subs). I had the killer bee. Everything was delicious. It has limited seating but it has a quick turnaround so we were able to take in the ambience and take a closer look at the handwritten menu. I'll definitely be back.
Susan Sardo
This place is top notch. I enjoyed the lobster roll, just fresh and delicious. Plus, the place had a nice, relaxed atmosphere, and the one employee/manager(?)Bill is a total sweetheart.
Anafe Rivera
Super friendly spot for huge portions and almost half the price compared to getting breakfast at the restaurants attached to hotels. Only 2 tables out front so not really a sit down place.
Fran M.
Lobster sandwich was worth the price. Seasoned and stuffed 😋
Gina Risotti
I had Paulis cater my daughters first birthday. Everyone commented on how good the food was. We had chicken broccoli Alfredo and steak tips and rice w 2 salads. Everything was great. The delivery driver was 5 minutes early and super friendly. Portions were huge and everyone went home with something. I would have them cater another party in the future.
Kenny Grimes
I am intoxicated w/Chicken parmesan and the pasta! Sorry i can't talk w/ my mouth full. Muhwa!! From the ATL
Rebecca Schaub
I had an amazing eggplant wrap! Delicious, large order of fries. I loved all the Boston accents too. 10/10 recommend.
Nathan Strutz
Had my favorite lobster rolls ever here, and an incredible bowl of clam chowder. The key word here is fresh! Good prices, great food.
Joseph Morris
I seen Paul's on good morning America when the pandemic started, the place looked great I knew I had to try it! I got a big boy burger, the burger was delicious, & the staff was very friendly!! I'll be back can't wait to to try something else!!👍 …
Ian Davis
Their lobster roll = amazing. Order it hot. So good. Super friendly too. If they served beer here it would be even better.
James Stott
Came to Pauli's for a breakfast lobster roll. The Lobster roll was definitely awesome, and really big, with 7 oz of fresh hand picked lobster meat. It was definitely worth stopping by. The service was quick, the service was friendly and helpful and it was all around a great experience.
Jason Kimball
Decided to try the buffalo chicken mac & cheese and was not disappointed. The chicken was tasty and the serving size was just massive. I'll definitely stop back in to try some of their signature sandwiches.
Liz DeVincenzo
Good for a quick bite plus they deliver ! Great fries and sandwiches.
Usually a quick turnaround even with a bit of a line. Prices can get up there when adding extras.
Nancy Fedoce
We stumbled in here sort of by accident after a long day of walking around the city. I can't believe I have missed this place somehow. I have lived in Boston over 10 year. my son and I loved the food. It was very busy, and people were in and out the entire time getting take out. Which says a lot. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Justin Vibert
Good food. Definitely on the expensive side unfortunately though for the lobster rolls (didn't come with french fries).
Gallick Cee
I had a meatball sandwich with large fries & a bottle of iced tea. The sandwich was delicious with plenty of meat to boot. The amount of fries was more than generous & were not soggy. The iced tea bottle 18.5 oz. All of this for less than $16.00. OUTSTANDING.
Fernando Ortiz
Best Lobster rolls in Boston.
Don Kerrigan
Small venue but great food. Try their lobster roll. It's a great bang for your buck and it's delicious. Hard to find a seat but worth the wait.
Yousef Al Hosani
Small place but very delicious food I recommend it
Mary Villa Rice
Fast, delicious, affordable.
Honestly their wings are so crispy, the sandwhiches are plentiful and some of the best. We are hooked! The staff is super friendly and very good at remember each persons order when the place gets crowded.
If you're looking for something easy to take and sit at the Greenway or Columbus Park, or just fill you up before a cannoli this is the place. LOVE IT
Danny Allen
The best word to describe Pauli's is versatile. I frequent this place a lot because it is consistently good, you know what you're getting, and the people who work there are quite nice.
Pauli's is also a gem because of their extensive menu. They have everything from bacon and eggs to Ziti with marinara, and it's all good.
So if you're ever in the North End and you want a quick bite to eat, I suggest you stop by Pauli's. Believe me, you wont be disappointed.
Rob Pratt
Amazing experience every time I've eaten there. Love the Lobster rolls and the Fat Felix
Kirk Earl
The food here is so good. I usually get the pasta, and one entree can feed me well for two meals. The sandwiches are also delicious. Very good Boston experience!
Edward Tong
Great sandwiches. Warm atmosphere.
Joanne M Gries
The lobsta roll was excellent...shy of five star because I wish the roll was bigger. Lol
Usman Sadiq
Loved the lobster rolls, gotta one cold and one hot lobster roll, both were delicious!
Boon Chuan
Pauli's is a small shop located in North End, Boston offering reasonable priced subs, wraps, Italian food and lobster roll. They also cater for takeout, delivery and catering. For the local, this shop is quite famous for its lobster roll. If not because for my walking tour guide told me that this shop has among the best lobster roll in town, I might have waiting in the queue at Neptune Oyster next door. If you lookout for Pauli's in the Internet, you can hardly find any article which would rate them to have among the best lobster roll. Neptune Oyster often rated at no 1 for its lobster roll but the queue to have food in this restaurant is forever long. Pauli's environment was rather different. Not many patrons in their shop and I can have my lobster roll within 5 minutes. Amazingly the fast lobster roll which I get from Pauli's, was superb. Upon my first bite of the lobster roll was a burst of flavor with smooth and warm butter coating the delicate lobster meat. The huge portion of lobster meat suits very well with soft bread roll. The lobster meat were full of flavour. Well coated with butter with slight salty taste provided a perfect balance to the natural flavors of the lobster. The potato chips provided also complemented the meal very well. Simple but amazingly delicious.
Bill Ludwig
Ended up here since Neptune was over booked. Had a great selection of food! Enjoyed a lobster roll and some wings. Better yet, there was early a wait!
Jeffrey pennington
This was my first time in Boston and I kept seeing this places listed at #1 or close to it for lobster rolls. So I had to try it. It was amazing. I can't wait for my next one
GiGi W
Lobster roll was very good, but lobsta mac and cheese is just mac and cheese with some lobster on top. The m&c itself doesn't have any lobster flavour.
Joseph Corbin
Though it was ok. not the best a little too greasy.
Defiant Obey
Amazing food but is pretty pricey. Also The Outback on a Sub roll is Spectacular. ;)
Grant Petersen
Unbelievable Lobster Grilled Cheese. I had them make it with Cheddar instead of American but it was unreal! The staff was awesome too! Great place to eat!
Charmayne Staloff
I just had a hot buttered lobster roll from Pauli's for lunch and honestly I don't see the point in eating any other food in the future. SO GOOD! Please open a Pauli's in Washington, DC.
Riffat Ahmed-Hannan
Hearty sandwiches and best Lobster Mac&Cheese!
Gerardo H. Galarza
The lobster roll it's expensive and tiny. 20 dollars sounds expensive BUT it's worth it, it's delicious. After you eat that lobster roll you'll forget about the price.
Lifeslikett
Small bun, stuffed with lobster meat, had the butter, which made the lobster meat stand out more, although mayo would have made me fuller. $21 for a hot lobster roll
Dean Feener
Great lobster rolls. We had both the hot and cold and both were delicious! Chowder (chowda?) Was also fantastic!
Carlos Crespo
We had a lobster roll and it was nice and a good amount of lobster meat. From my point of view, the restaurant should decrease the use of plastics.
Michael Huang
Really enjoy that the sandwich here with whole lobster! Very fresh and price is resonable.. So Cool man! If I have chance , will definately come again!
Michael Laferriere
Know what you want before you get up to the register. There is always a line here (its that good and worth waiting for!) and hey, its Boston! Everyone's in a hurry!
There isnt a lot of seating here but the place has been around long enough that a lot of the people nearby know the quality of this establishment and come here for take out. Did I mention its worth waiting for??
Hannah
Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Fries are great too
Mat Payne
Had to grab a lobster roll while in town. This was the first one I've had and apparently I've never had decent lobster before. It was fantastic. Cool place.

Great clam chowder. Offered in a plastic take out bowl though, I guess this is the new norm with covid...

Best sandwich shop we have been to in a long time. Of all the restaurants we enjoyed while on vacation in Boston this week, this is the most memorable due to the quality of the food!

Great lobster rolls cheaper and 7oz left a place that was more expensive and only 4oz. The employes were very friendly and look like they were having a good time.
annalese williams
If you’re looking for good vegetarian food in the North End I HIGHLY recommend the harvest veggie bowl, with added hummus!!

"Canadians know Hockey - We know Lobster Rolls"... said the guy at the cash! My first try and it was great! Thanks Pauli's for the tasty experience!
