My husband and I used A Lively Chef for our wedding, and my in-laws used them for our Engagement Party and Rehearsal Dinner. Each time we were all blown away by how tasty their food was (and that's a statement, because my Father-in-Law is a chef!). At our wedding, we had many people tell us how much they loved our dinner, and I have to concur that it was absolutely amazing. Not only does A Lively Chef deliver mouth-watering food, but they make the planning process easy. They handled linens, set-up, cutlery for our wedding day and set/cleaned up without a hitch (taking a huge burden/stress off of our party). Their staff was professional and quickly served our large wedding. They were attentive, taking plates and cleaning up quickly! I cannot tell you how stress-free and how satisfied you will be if you book A Lively Chef Catering.

I used a Lively Chef for my wedding on June 3rd and the food was SO GOOD. We had the smoked beef brisket, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, the whole kit and caboodle and everything was delicious. All of our guests told us how good the food was and said it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful as well. I am so happy we chose them for our big day.

Phenomenal Catering. The best in Boise! We had an event catered at the Hampton in Meridian and it was the first time I have tasted their food.. I had the tri-tip and chicken marsala along with the best vegetable stirfry and potatoes. The champagne vinaigrette for the salad was so delicious we wished that we could get it bottled to buy. The manager, Stacy, said she was looking into actually bottling the dressing in the near future! To top it all off the gluten-free chocolate cake along with the lemon bars were some of the best I’ve ever had and I have tried many top of the line cooking and baking. 5 STARS!

A Lively Chef Catering will definetly be our cateter for every event we have from now on. They catered my wedding on October 15th 2022, and to say that they were amazing is an understatement. We chose the brisket, the artichoke chicken, penne pasta, scalloped potatoes. Not only was the food incredibly good, but the service was outstanding - all our guests loved the dinner and had only positive things to say. The staff was very kind and easy to work with, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The planning was just as smooth as the day of the event. Definetly consider hiring them for a delicious and stress free event.

Of all the feelers I put out to caterers, A Lively Chef was the only one that responded right away and worked with me through all the changes and uncertainties that arise from planning a wedding event. We had a wonderful experience booking A Lively Chef Catering for our June outdoor wedding. They were extremely responsive and informative throughout the entire process and even made some vegan dishes for our guests! The service was incredible and I couldn't believe how personable and kind the staff were—it felt more like they were serving dear friends than guests they didn't know at a wedding. Last, the food was incredible. The chicken marsala in particular was a knockout—it was very moist and delicious. THE catering company you NEED for your wedding or any event. They are so friendly and professional and made sure we got exactly what we wanted for our wedding. They even made things special not on their menu. It was all delicious! They set up and take down and provide everything you need tables plates cutlery all of it. We had A Lively Chef cater our daughter's wedding dinner about three years ago and it was amazing! So it was an easy decision to use them this summer (2021) for my mother's 90th birthday party. I think what you should know is how easy they are to work with and how affordable they are, especially for the food and service quality you will receive. And for us it was so easy, they delivered the tables and chairs. And then the linens, silverware, glasses were all placed and setup. They also came back and took it all away! Easy for us, no hauling stuff around. Stacey is amazing to work with, selecting the food and the colors to match the theme. Aaron the chef is also amazing, he is so professional and his food was again incredible. Aaron and his staff plated our food and delivered the plales to each guest. Aaron interacted with the guests to ensure everyone had the best experience possible. We highly recommend that you meet with Stacey for your next event. I know we will!

The Lively Chef team did an AMAZING job at our wedding in June. During the months leading up to our wedding we made a million changes to our menu, guest count, table settings, and more, and they accommodated our every request and made sure the day was exactly what we had imagined. We ended up with about 120 guests and we served dinner buffet style, and the staff was able to move everyone through quickly and efficiently but without feeling rushed. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take home after the wedding (though there wasn't much left over, our guests absolutely raved about how good the food was!!) We were so at ease throughout the whole event and really did a phenomenal job. Absolutely would recommend them to anyone hosting any sort of event!

A Lively Chef was awesome! They had a change in management during the time I worked with them so I had to start over what had already been discussed with a new person, but she was really nice. I opted for passed appetizers at my wedding during the cocktail hour and it made for a really fun atmosphere. People loved the food. I heard the most about the chicken and steak! They were constantly offering guests food with napkins and cleaning up as they went. All my food was eaten and I was worried about left overs! They also made a special plate and brought it up for me and my party before the wedding. Would definitely hire them again!

If I had to sum up my experience with A Lively Chef in one word, it would be WOW! Planning my wedding last year was the most stressful things I have ever done. When the pandemic forced us to change venues we lost our on-site catering and reception space 39 days before the wedding. As luck would have it, the first caterer that I called was A Lively Chef. I spoke with Celeste about our circumstances and she assured me that they could do everything we needed by the wedding. Not only is she courteous, prompt, and organized, you can tell that she truly cares about doing her job well. She helped us organize a tasting shortly after our initial conversation with our entrees, sides, and even a few desserts. We were personally greeted at the door, a custom welcome sign had been made, and the tasting room was set up beautifully! I was blown away by the care and attention to detail that was placed into creating our tasting. We worked with Matt for the tasting and on-site at our reception. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel at home, listened to our needs, addressed our concerns, and took action to make sure that what we wanted was accommodated (including my very restricted diet due to allergies). Our wedding was spectacular! The food, just like the tasting, was incredible! From the 12 foot long charcuterie board through to the end of the dessert bar, every bite was perfect. I had so many compliments on the food from our guests that I've lost count. Some of the best ones were: "This is the best food I have ever had at a wedding!" "The chicken was absolutely incredible! Do you think they will give me the recipe?" "The dessert bar looks amazing! Ooh is that s'mores?!" (we had DIY s'mores) "Your cocktail hour was amazing! I loved the huge bar of food" (charcuterie board) We accidentally left our to-go containers at home to bring all of the leftovers back to my parents' house form the wedding. When I talking with my coordinator about how we could go about running to the store to buy some, Matt walked over and told me that he would make sure that he got it taken care of for me. Even the way all of our leftovers were packed was outstanding. Thank you, Matt! A Lively Chef truly went above and beyond for us and I will forever be grateful for everything they did to make our wedding happen. It's not easy to re-plan a reception in 39 days, but I never once stressed about our catering. Thank you Celeste, Matt, and everyone else on your fantastic team! You are truly wonderful and I will forever recommend you for events.

Can’t begin to explain how pleased I am with A Lively Chef for the work they did at our May wedding at the Boise Train Depot. The food and presentation was amazing! The owners investment in their client’s experience was reassuring. Gary was at our wedding slicing the prime rib! Shari was very accommodating, especially with last minute changes. They orders, set-up, and tore-down all the rentals. I honestly forgot the team was there because everything ran so smooth. Our wedding was more than was I envisioned. I need to add to my previous review. We used A Lively Chef Catering for our Christmas event this year. (Dec. 2021) When there was a last minute problem with my beverage caterer, I called Lively Chef. Stacy's response was, "Don't worry! We're going to take care of you!" THAT'S the mark of an outstanding business. If I could give them ten stars, I would! I have started using A Lively Chef to cater lunches for my client, the local architects' group. If the first lunch was any indication, we'll be using them monthly FOREVER! When my guests starting arriving early, they kicked it into high gear and went above and beyond to make sure the event went smoothly! Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking with them because our wedding fell through, however I wanted to leave the best review possible because they were such a pleasure to book/plan with. Stacey is who handled our account and she was not only helpful and professional during my consultation and booking, but also kind. Having a wedding fall through is disappointing business and she was incredibly considerate and generous even though we canceled only weeks before the wedding date. I will look her up again if we ever have a need to cater another event.

A lively chef provided the food for our wedding on September 14th. The food was extremely delicious! All of our guests were commenting on how good it was. On top of that they were extremely friendly and accommodating to all of our guests. Celeste organized our special night for us and was an incredible communicator throughout the months leading up to it. She ensured things were perfect up until the last moment. Not only was their food delicious but their customer service was incredible! After I sat down to have my dinner they still found ways to serve the guests such as asking if we needed more water bottles or if they could take our plates. You don’t typically expect that from wedding catering so that extra touch was nice! :)

Everyone we worked with at ALCC was fantastic! Gary, Celeste, & Shari are great people and it was so easy to work with them to plan our Boise wedding out of state. They have a great range of menu items that not only look good but taste wonderful! Don't underestimate the portobello mushroom, that was our vegetarian option but everyone loved it! If I had to do one thing different it would be to order back-up portobello mushrooms!
