I love supporting local business and Taste This is worth every penny spent. I got the smothered pork chops with candied yams and macaroni and cheese. I made a terrible decision getting it for lunch during a work day because I was no good after eating it all I wanted to do was nap. However jokes aside it was absolutely delicious and worth the trip.

I truly enjoyed the meal that I ordered from them. My only issue was the yams were cold on arrival. Other than that I truly enjoyed the meal. I ordered the smothered pork chop which I have not had in a very long time and it did not disappoint it was a very large portion so much that I could not eat it in one sitting. The cabage was very tasty. Although the yams were cold they were still tasty. I ordered again the next day the same meal but got collard greens instead of cabbage and the collard greens were very delicious. Unfortunately the yams were on the cold side again and I'm not sure why that is. I also ordered the honey barbecue wings which I just ate today and they were delicious. Hopefully with this posting the owners or the cooks will keep that in mind for the future. I do plan on ordering from there again as it also did not take a very long time for me to get my order. I used GrubHub. I highly recommend this local staple in the community and hope that it becomes a favorite of yours is well.

Love the size of the portions for your money. Great home cooked taste. The wings are crispy I have a nice sauce. Are Old Bay and have not been let down.

It was my first time here and I must say the customer service and food I received boy oh boy exceeded my expectations. I had the stuffed salmon w/ greens,yams & mac-cheese! I love supporting my people and this was definitely WORTH it.

Good food the atmosphere was laid back and calm .. The service was quick and helpful.... I ordered the stuffed catfish with Mac and cheese and cabbage... The fish was great... The Mac and cheese was good it jus was cold as hell overall the whole meal was cold as ice and I ate it right away.... The sweet potatoes are great too.... The cabbage was extra smack too 💯👌... I wanna try something different next time but it's a good place tho.. Nothing major tho

This location is small with couple of seats mostly for those who are waiting for their orders, so this is a take out not a place to dine in. I ordered stuffed salmon platter which costed around 18$ including a soda, it tasted really good. The staff were so busy but still they made my order on time.

Tried the spiced chicken and it was good. It comes in a cream sauce that's also delicious- the only thing I didn't like is if you need to reheat it it get very oily- I had to blot my food with a napkin. I tried the asparagus with that and the sweet potatoes, both were good. The mac and cheese was a let down though. It wasn't flavorful. Also the half and half was ok.

I just heard about this restaurant while I was shopping in Harvest Fare. So we decided to try it out. Glad we did everything was just as good as the the Cashier in the store told us. The appearance or presentation of the food even with it being take out was Wonderful. If you're reading this, please go there & try something.

Overall what I got was pretty good. We ordered on grubhub and the food was still pretty warm on arrival. I just wish it had been noted on the menu that fried chicken means fried chicken wings not leg/thigh/breast also was just barely fully cooked but it was cooked. The greens are awesome, mac and cheese was good not creamy like you would think but it does have chunks of real cheese in it (semi salty also). The asparagus was also barely cooked but was very tasty though I would only get it as a side and not ordered on its own because the price doesn't equate to the 6 pieces that we got. The yams were WAY too sweet they would be really good if the sugar was dialed down a bit. The garli mashed potatoes were probably the highlight of my meal other than the greens. Overall I would definitely get food from here again just have to remember that fried chicken means wings and not pieces of chicken like it does anywhere else you go

The food is really good. We especially enjoy the smothered pork chops and the turkey wings. bbq ribs are okay. side dishes are tasty. I would give them five stars bur customer service is a bit slow...but friendly. and, wish the place was a bit larger to accommodate a few cafe tables to dine in.

I got some food from you guys yesterday. The closest taste to moms home cooking. You now have all my carryout food dollars. Cut back on your sodium. A lot us black folk have high blood. Spareribs, BAM, macNchees BAMstring beans,BAM, mashed potatoes, BAM. I'll coming for more spareribs soon . Tender meaty and succulent. Love you guys. Some people complain because they're lonely. You can please some of the people all of the time.

The food here is amazing. I am so in love with the Crab Mac n Cheese. It's a must try item on their menu. I'm also a huge fan of their Honey Old Bay Wings. Their Hennessey sauce is amazing as well, especially on their salmon! The food is worth 5 stars but other issues brings their score down. The space they utilize is too small, the service is not always the best, the hours suck and the waits can feel like forever. It's a business I love supporting. I hope someone who works there seems this and does something about it.

Thr food is BOMB!!!! This is the first soul food place that actually not just looks good but Taste good as well! The food is flavored. I got the turkey wing platter with mac&cheese and green beans. Everything taste good. I highly recommend. It only took about 10 min. I came for lunch and I will be back. :)

My new favorite Baltimore soul food restaurant. I've passed this location many times. The food options are great. The sides were great too. My meal was a fried fish platter with green beans and mac & cheese. It was amazing. The half and half tea with lemonade was the right balance. Just simply refreshing. While mostly a carryout, there were tables in restaurant where mostly were used by people sat waiting for their to go order.

This was my first time ordering from them and their food was ok. I ordered the stuffed catfish with sides Mac and cheese and collard greens. The Mac and cheese has so much oil in it but a decent taste. The catfish and greens were good, but the sauce they use on the catfish is slightly salty for my taste. I also ordered the honey old bay wings and I asked for them to be well done. I hate tasting the skin on chicken and they were at best lightly fried. Only the tops of the wings were fried hard. I’ve honestly had better wings from Sunny’s in Northwood shopping center. The chicken lacked flavor but without the honey and I didn’t taste the old bay at all. I may give them another shot, but I’m not sure.

I went online and read the reviews before coming here for the 1st time. I was really in the mood for some soul food. Despite a lot of negative reviews I decided to try for myself...and the food is simply delicious, quick and young lady at the front was very courteous. I was 100% satisfied with my experience here and I will definitely becoming back.

The food is unbelievably good! We had the Crab Dip Fries, Honey Lemon Pepper wings, and the Spiced Chicken Platter with greens and corn. I ordered Mac and cheese as a side but by the time my order was ready they ran out so I had to choose corn. Still delicious. About the time my order was ready....It took about 40 minutes for my food to come out after I put my order in. When it was ready, the girl that gave me my food had an major attitude problem that I was not fond of. With that being said, let me tell you that this food is WELL worth the wait!!!! I've being dreaming of going back since I left the place. As for the poor customer service..there is no way I will let an attitude come between me and this delicious food. I'll just have to deal with her , and she will have to deal with me because I will definitely be coming back. Mabe I will call my order in next time. Ps. Get the Crab dip Fries & thank me later ;)

I'm glad that this location was reopened. The wait was about 25 minutes but it was well worth it. I had the stuffed salmon with macaroni & cheese and sweet potatoes. It was soooo good! I can't wait to go back!

Each time I have eaten from there the food was absolutely delicious. I have gotten the harbor east potato twice and the grilled catfish with asparagus and macaroni and cheese. It was so yummy I wanted to go back the next day.

The premiere local restaurant inside Baltimore city. Locally owned and operated. By far the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Recently opened a store closer towards downtown with a larger seating area. Please support eat and review these guys. I LOVE IT HERE.

I was not entirely satisfied with my food. First off, all of my sides were cold, including the rice. The yams had chunks of uncooked potatoes and otherwise not very flavorful. The mac n cheese was really just mac. Hardly any cheese at all. I did however enjoy the catfish. It was hot and flavorful. I wish the platter had come with 2 pieces rather than just one.

I'm always down to support blacked owned business. The food is amazing I love the spiced chicken. Breakfast is also great. One thing that I want to put out and I'm saying this because I want them to get better at it. Everytime I try to call in an order it I barely get someone to answer. A few times that I did get them on the phone, after I place my order and got my estimated time of 20minutes when I got there 30minutes after my food wasn't ready and one of my sides that I order were not available after I asked if they still had any. I really wish they fix these things cause there food is really great.

I have gone a few times and I always support black own business. I have to pass 2 other establishments that offer breakfast to get to Taste This. On this morning of 03/29/2015, I ordered over the phone only to arrive to find out that my order was not taken correctly. Then I was not informed that 1 of the items for the platter was not available. When I asked about a discount for the item and/or a substitute I was told NO. I tried this place for the first time. I had the stuff salmon, mac and cheese, asparagus and yams. This is the best place and food that I have ever tried in Baltimore. Great customer service. Every bite was so delicious and I’m so picky! I still have half of my food left from the large portions. Thank you!

I support black businesses. I have been ordering from this restaurant daily because I love the food and Grub Hub delivers. So, to my surprise when I ordered two sides and poured out one cup into the outher and that other cup was still not full. I showed it to the girl; I was surprised by the answer, "You get one scoop." So no one be surprised by my answer, " You get one chance." I support black businesses, and I will find another.

Restaurants food is absolutely exquisite. I love love their food. You can sit down and eat at the one on 25th street but not Harford Road. Out of the two I like 25th Street the most. The staff at both locations are so friendly and kind. I don't drink but everything if they cook with the Hennessy have to try it

Food is delicious! I have been here on several occasions. Dishes I have enjoyed and are my go to dishes: buffalo parmesan wings, bbq chicken, salmon platter, baked chicken, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, Taste this shrimp platter with rice, yellow rice, and half and half. The pricing is more than fair, they also are available to order from grubhub and uber eats. Reasons why I give a 3 out of 5 are the following: I do not recommend the breakfast menu. Does not necessarily open on time. Close very early compared to other locations. Customer service needs improvement.

Great food, staff, prices are kinda high. Menu a little misleading. In some instances, from reading the menu.. it sometimes reads as if you'd get more meat than what you actually get. Side dishes are super delicious and massive.

Went just two weeks after the grand opening,I called twice but no one answered the phone. When I went inside the restaurant no one was inside.(so the phone should have been answered) My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken platter.The chicken was hard to get off the bone(he didn't eat it at all) The rice,Mac and cheese and collard greens were good.Not going back anytime soon.

Taste this has really good food; especially when they care about what they're serving. The staff, both phone and in person is inattentive and rude; that's if they answer their phones. Sometimes the food is haphazardly thrown together. Hopefully they'll get some of the kinks worked out.

Good soul food but customer service is sub par and the wait time is extremely way to long if I call in a order and I'm told 20 minutes I don't understand why after arriving after 25 minutes I still had to wait 20 minutes in store.
