I loved everything about this place! The owners were so sweet and knowledgeable and warm and welcoming. The food was superb, too. I have a long list of food allergies which were accommodated without any problems and with endless kindness. The kitchen flawlessly modified their burger so I could eat safely -- and it was ridiculously good. I am so impressed and will absolutely be back! (Forgive the excessive adjectives; I'm utterly thrilled by my experience today!!)

The owners autumn and aj will make you feel right at home. The food is ALWAYS incredible. They have killer nachos, and their menu has vegan options. Hands down my favorite place to eat in town

Delicious fusion of southern and Caribbean food, mainly Jamaican. Plantain bowl is delicious, also had the daily taco (ham, black beans, sharp cheddar, and fried banana peppers). Not a traditional restaurant in that there is not table service, but the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This is a gem in AVL downtown.

Super groovy dive bar! Went here after 8pm when nowhere else had available seating, and it was the best: inexpensive, delicious, and entertaining! They had live music and friendly service. You order at the register then sit anywhere and they bring the food to you. Veggie nachos, burger, and black bean soup were delicious, and wings looked great!

Is only for the food, I've never hung out there. Delicious stuff. Jerk chicken and waffles sandwich. Ramp, parmesan, truffle wings -legit. Unique flavor going on.

The atmosphere here the night we were passing through town was amazing. I had wings and they were very tasty. Vegetarian companions were extremely pleased with the dishes they ordered and there was a nice jam band at the bar in the back that wasn't too loud or quiet.

They are going to surprise you with the variety. By the looks of it, you might not think it was more than a greasy spoon. It's a a great place to get surprised! I like the soups. They never cease to amaze me. I consider the soup a calibration. I don't think there's a can any where in the place. As a bonus The bar in the back supports local comedy. The restaurant reopens for the night shows!

We LOVE Mojo Kitchen and Lounge! We eat here every Friday night, and it is the perfect way to end a long work week. The staff is always helpful and the FOOD is ON POINT! I have eaten most everything on the menu and never had a bad meal. They are innovative with the taco specials, there are vegetarian options and if you are a meat eater you will be hooked up! I love the Sugaree sandwich, all the Mac and Cheeses, tacos, the starters... I could go on and on, but I will just say, if you have not tried out this local treasure you are missing out on one of Asheville's gems!

Really incredible! The fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had! We also tried braised beef mojo tacos, chicken mojo tacos, and the plantain bowl with smoked chicken. Everything was out of this world! Cant go wrong here. Cool vibe and great service.

Excellent food! Autumn and AJ and their staff whip up the best nacho in town, with or without added protein, damned yummy. Located inside the One Stop bar on College St. in downtown Asheville. Serves food till 2am. Delivers locally in downtown area.

Excellent food with an extensive menu and unique options for everyone. Their Mojo Mac and Cheese is perhaps the best I've ever had. Jerk Chicken and Waffles are outstanding. Wings are phenomenal. I would frequent Mojo and try the entire menu if I were still local. Parking couldn't be easier - available directly across the street at the Rankin Ave garage. Absolute must stop in Asheville.

I love all things Asheville. I know we are tourist but we go several times a year and I prefer not to get tangled up in the tourist traps. So this looks like a really cool low-key place. It was the day after New Year's and they're having an ice storm so there were a lot of things that were not available. However, the hostess was just so unfriendly, the table was dirty, and the people next to us were really drunk and loud. Plus, there's no live music till fairly late. The food was really just mediocre. Usually it's a little more thoughtful and special.

Love the food, love the late night option. They use tarot cards instead of numbers which always makes me happy. You can enjoy the concerts in the downstairs section of Asheville Music Hall from the lounge area.

What a pleasant surprise we got when we ducked into Mojo for lunch. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. I had theTempe which was filled with artichokes and tofu...it was really fantastic. My wife had the black bean enchilada soup which she raved about. Live music in the evenings in the adjacent bar space. I will definitely be back when I return to Asheville in the spring.

I can't get enough of this magical cafe! I have yet to try a disappointing meal. From the fish and chips(awesome variation) to the chicken n waffles, everything is amazing! You will enjoy this experience

As far as I know, this place has the best wings in Asheville. I really enjoy eating here, and they have good tacos too. The staff has always been very friendly as well. Definitely recommend.

This local dive is a little scary on your first try, but if you hold your breath and sneak by the smokers out front (only a problem in the evenings), the culinary rewards are numerous. Honest to God, the best burger and fish tacos I've ever had! And I mean at any price. Even beats the legiondary Rankin Vault burger across the street in my opinion.

BRUNCH IS SO GOOD! I'm working my way through the brunch menu, and I haven't been disappointed yet! Last time I got the chicken and waffle sandwich- so good! They have the best tempeh in town (that I've tried). Plus, they have live bluegrass at brunch, and toys for kids, and it's not usually overcrowded. They even have a BYO bloody mary bar. Also, they usually serve food later than most other places at night and their lunch/dinner menu is what's up too.

Unbelievable food. The look of the restaurant (typically far out as is the nature of Asheville) does not do justice to the 5 star quality of the meals prepared by the chef who graduated from Johnson and Wales culinary school. The impossible burger is the best burger I've had, and I'm not vegan ot vegetarian. I be just love burgers. All the food exceeds expectations. Don't miss Mojo Cafe. I'm a local so I know Asheville eateries. This is my fav, and it flies under the radar.

Delicious, award-winning cuisine in a funky downtown diner that is favored by locals who know where to go for good food. Now open for breakfast! Go for the tacos and burgers and stick around for evening live music and special events at the One Stop located in the back.

Came here on a food tour and had a spin on Chicken+Waffles, this time with a jerk sauce, finely sliced apples and a bit of mozzarella cheese. Needless to say that alone would convince the nay-sayers around southern food to re-consider. The sous chef was very hospitable and gave a story about the place. The outside is very unimpressive and you'd walk right past it thinking it was some dive bar but the inside is cozy (sofa and chairs in the main area up front) with a long row of 2 tops for couples + counter seating much like a diner.

Multiple personality disorder. The place functions as a lounge, diner, bar, and performance space. The food was just OK. Had the plantain bowl with tempeh (B-) and a kale salad that was so salty that it was inedible (F). There are better places around for food. Surprisingly quiet on a Friday evening but action may start later.

Sunday Brunch, Huevos Rancheros, Egg and Avacado Salad toast, all amazing! Given that everywhere else was at least an 1hr and a half wait times, you can understand our elation when we rolled right in ordered and sat down! Cozy. Great food!

My favorite place to eat in Asheville, especially at 1-2 in the morning. The jerk chicken and waffles are simply spectacular, and the street tacos are the best I've ever had. Live music or concert streams are also common!

It's very divey. We went for the Bluegrass Brunch, but didn't realize the band plays outside. If you go there for that, you can't really hear them. There is a stage inside that they must use depending on weather. I had the Monte Cristo and it was very good.

The chef at this place has a mix on flavors with the good on your plate that is unbelievable,. Myself and my work family went there for lunch and was blown away by the combination flavors and textures of his one of a kind style. No place in town tops mojos I promise you. The half sandwich (sweetenie)& loaded potato soup had me at hello, a sweet,spicy sandwich with sprouts, omg and that soup was for tha soul... Get ready for a religious experience on your plate that is unbelievable, God bless & p.s. Tell'm Cracrjac and tha boyyz from the A.C.Hotel sent ya!!!

I just want to thank All the bartenders at mojos. I saw a male and personally encountered a guy touching women inappropriately and I let one bartender know and they were quick to throw the guy out. I love going to a bar and feeling safe. Isn’t this what Asheville is all about. You guys are angels. This man touched multiple ladies wrong and mojo were quick to act. So happy I can come back and not be terrified of a 60 year old predator. Me and tons of ladies I’ve talked to would love to thank you for being so quick to act. ❤️❤️❤️

Had "The Burg" and it was ok. Not bad, but somewhat on the bland side -- either they forgot the dressing, or there wasn't enough of it. The fries were very small and overcooked. Staff was friendly and the prices were ok.
