I hired them to install two new light fixtures and a ceiling fan. Their pricing is straightforward and reasonable. They were easy to make an appointment with, and they confirmed my appointment the day before. The technician arrived on time and worked quickly. The price is a flat service fee, plus an hourly rate. I didn't feel like the technician milked the clock. He got all three fixtures done in a little over two hours. We would recommend them and will be likely to use them again.

I have used Mr Handyman of Louisville Northeast two times now and have been very happy with their service. In 2019 my service involved putting in new smoke detectors. Ali was the person who came and he was very professional and did a great job. On April 8, 2021 Alan Maerz came and he too did a great job. He spent 6.5 hours doing various things-hanging pictures and a mirror, changing light bulbs, installed a shower head, put screens in my windows, put on new toilet lids, put together a new shower rod-kind of a "honey do list". He was so very easy to work with. Very professional. Right on time. He was very knowledgeable in every aspect. I so appreciated that he was patient and very knowledgeable in the picture hanging area. I did not know what to expect. He was very patient and made sure I was happy with where and how the pictures were hung. He had the right tools for everything, gave helpful information and in general made it an enjoyable experience. I have not one complaint! He had great communication skills; very impressed. I have talked to at least 3 people in the office. I find them great to work with. They explained how they charge and worked with me to estimate the time I would need for the work. Very nice people.I needed a little extra time and was so happy that Alan was able to stay and finish everything. I highly recommend!

I needed to have a small repair to the corner of my roof. The repairman arrived on time and performed the work quickly and properly. There was still time left on my appointment, so he also fixed some gutter downspouts that had come loose. He cleaned up after his work and it was all to my satisfaction.

I really hate to complain, but I feel I have to because I am baffled by the amount of super positive reviews on google (yelp is different for some reason) and I would have liked to be better prepared here. I sent them pictures to get an estimate. I get that things can change. But the estimate was for $250-$350 for 4 repairs: they completed 3, and the cost was $470. I understand a difference but that’s just not even close. Two of the jobs were great, but one was left unfinished. I messaged them to inquire about it, but never heard back (I included pictures). On the plus side, they are very good at communicating. They did show up 4 hours later than my scheduled time, but stuff happens and they did keep us posted. I just wish I didn’t have to hire another handyman to finish the job I thought I paid for. And in covid times, I know masks are uncomfortable but the professional thing to do is wear a mask when you go in someone’s house.

He took care of several carpentry jobs which were well outside of our skill level. Yes, they are a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! Excellent experience all around and we will definitely use them again in the future.

You get what you pay for. Mr. Handyman is expensive, but they did great work. D was able to hang several items in our home that we had a lot of trouble with in pretty short order. He was professional, friendly, and got the job done quickly and according to our specifications. He even offered free advice on how to fix something else that needs fixing around the house. I will absolutely hire Mr. Handyman again.

We had Mr. Handyman come and cut off the bottoms of two sets of bi-fold doors after getting new, higher carpet. Ali came and was very knowledgeable about the doors and very efficient. The doors work better than ever and it was worth every penny.

I am a professional investor in the city of Louisville and have lived here my entire life. I called this company to ask about remodeling old houses that were just old or the ones that we down to the studs that needed almost a full rebuild. The man on the other end was very patient with me and listen to all of my needs. At the end of me talking, the man did say this is all they could do, but that he would not recommend that I use them. He explained that no matted the job, they were paid by the hour at a set rate, and that id does not change depending on the job. Well, he is right, that was not what I was looking for. But for the record, there hourly rate was very good and competitive, especially on jobs that I know a lot of people would charge more then double on. So no work was performed for me by this company, but sometimes I think that politeness and good information goes a long way, and that is why I am giving them 5 stars.

Hired them to repair a headboard that was coming loose again after we had already tried to stabilize it ourselves. Repairman was able to tell me what had happened to cause the issue (movers left off anchors and wingnuts off the main bolts, causing them to gradually loosen and damage the headboard itself) and came up with a practical repair to stabilize the headboard without resorting to gluing it together. Very professional and completed what turned out to be a much more complicated repair than expected (due to the additional damage caused by the moving bolts) that same day.
