After the debacle at St. Matthews car wash I decided to look for another car wash that would keep my car looking clean and I found this one. For your do it yourself they have prices from about $7 to $22. I chose the $19 option which does everything but some type of ceramic protection which I was not sure what that was and didn’t think I needed it. There was a line but it moved fairly quickly and I was in and out of the car wash in about two minutes. After the wash and as I drove out I noticed they have a large number of do it yourself vacuums, all of which are free. It looks like they have maybe 20 bays and I had no trouble locating one and vacuuming my car. I have to say that the vacuum was extremely powerful. I had to lift it up a little from the carpet in order to get just enough airflow to improve the suction. It was so strong that if I let it stay on top of the carpet it wouldn’t do near as much as my method. What they need are some small holes at the end of the nozzle to help give a little airflow as your vacuum. But nevertheless they were excellent and they even have a spot to hang your mats and vacuum them each separately outside of the car. They also have a detail service that will clean your car inside and out. I don’t know if it’s something that you wait for and come back to pick up or if you hang around. There may be some type of waiting area to sit down, catch up on your email on your phone or perhaps watch TV if they have one. If they don’t have one of these they ought to look into investing in something like this. I did notice that they have a list of those prices for a full detailed car wash when I paid for my car wash but do not recall the price and I unfortunately did not take a picture. All in all I was very happy with the facility and the cleanliness, and the free vacuums was certainly a nice touch. I will be back probably at the end of the snow season or sooner.

I went to location on a Friday evening before Halloween, just to have my car washed before the weekend and as luck would have it my plans were to get a car wash and go get something to eat before returning home for the evening. I pulled up and they were offering chili dogs, chips, drinks, and a full size candy bar! Well, if I wasn’t convinced enough that this is the best car wash facility for me is, I pulled in and out runs the manager passing out Hot Cocoa and then a couple of visits later they gave me a winter beanie! Now, that’s the type of business I will be committed too; as they’re committed to me, my car, and my overall satisfaction! Where do they do that at? Well, I will tell you, none other than the Speed Car Wash in Fern Creek, KY!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! They do a great job here. We've had all our cars detailed here, including my son's car, which was a MESS. I've never had windshields done so well, both inside and out. I honestly thought my driver window was down it was so clean. One caveat: If you want the trunk cleaned as well, open it yourself. They don't open trunks if the owner doesn't tell them or do it for them. I found that out after I was going to put all the stuff back in the trunk. I went back immediately, and they fixed it.

The manager at the fern creek high school location is great ! He was formerly at the location on bardstown by 264 and he cares about your vehicle and his customers and job.

This car wash is way better than the one on Dixie Highway in Louisville Kentucky they actually cleaned the whole car and the buffer that drives at the end really drives your car and the car wash really cleans your wheels

Unfortunately I was so disappointed 😞 with the "full" service that I recently received at the Bardstown road location. An associate of mine recommended that I try the monthly full service wash. Upon completion when I got to my next destination I noticed that the windows were dirty on one side and the car window deflector/door was still wet. ☹️ The rims were dirty But I called and found out that wheel rim cleaning Is Not a feature of the "full" service. So I asked if cleaning windows and drying the car was a feature? I was told that they were and I explained that it was my first "full" service and my last. I would also like to point out that initially there were 2 guys cleaning my car who started out very strong. The next thing I noticed was that a young lady spoke with one of the guys and he went to another vehicle to clean. I watched this same young lady lazily wipe down my car 🚗 and this was the side that did not get cleaned or dried well. I was asked to bring my car back But it rained so hard that afternoon that I did not return. I will try somewhere else for monthly car wash services.

Stopped in after a week of freezing weather snow and salt on the roads the line was all the way out to the front on Bardstown Road I was 10 cars from the entrance at least 30 cars were in front of me and it still only took me 23 minutes to get through, amazing! Great place great value.

They have a membership program that is awesome and cheap. You can get your car washed everyday for the price of one wash from anywhere else. $10 a month that's crazy. Nice guys too they will help as much as they can and are very friendly.

It's a gigantic place for your carwash. The 6$ wash is very satisfactory if you don't want to spend a lot in washing the dirt off your car. Lava shine worth 25$ is definitely a good choice if you want to get a good shine. Update: Their price has increased throughout.

Pretty fast, but there is no way to know what exactly is entailed in the detail packages until you've paid for them and get your car back. After reading "Extensive Interior Vacuuming" under the Interior Super Clean, I was very surprised to find my trunk left untouched. The was itself is what you would expect from a quality automated system.

The automatic machine does an okay job knocking dirt off the car. The tire shine has failed to be applied twice in a row. Staff is friendly and helpful; bilingual if you speak Spanish, and was the best part of the experience. Didn't fully clean my car though. Probably won't spend the money there next time.

Absolutely the best car wash in the city. Good prices, professional and the employees go above and beyond. I will be never go anywhere else! Today I locked my keys in my car...three employees helped me I can't tell you how much that meant. One of them wouldn't stop until I was back in another let me use his phone and a third listened to me rant lol. Boy they have a raving fan for life.

This place is great. Its got a decent price range for what you get. And what I really appreciate is that it has undercarriage wash. Which is a plus during winters in Kentucky. And the water pressure is awesome and scrubbers really get the job done. And they have rain x and a wax that helps keep the grunge from sticking. So I don't have to go back and do any touch up. Which is a plus with my schedule. I highly recommend speed wash

I'm not super picky when it comes to my car, but I do have a hairy dog. My car seat material also stains easily so I stop here every few months and get the seat clean and deep clean detailing package. Much cheaper than a full detail and "good enough" for me. It's not like I just got it from the dealership, but it's clean enough being an express job for me. Everyone is always friendly

When this car wash started it was great, but in the past 6 months or so the quality has come down significantly. I pay a monthly fee for unlimited car washes. I noticed that the amount of soap has been cut probably in half (cutting operational cost by lowering the quality and hoping no one will notice, maybe) and one of the brushed that clean the hood , windshields and top of the car is not working anymore (there used to be 2). My car doesn't get clean as well as it used to be before and I get water spots in the hood and windshield when it dries. I now prefer to drive to the other sister location (8102 Old Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291) which is completely out of my way, but I still get the wash I used to get originally from this location. I don't know if both places are managed by the same team or it is a franchise. Please put your act together and restore the automatic car wash as the way it used to be.

Got a free wash as a grand opening promotion. It was just ok. It didn't clean my wheels at all and the back of my SUV looked like tiger stripes there was so much that it didn't get off. The vacuum s are included which is a nice feature and they work well.

I've got the pass and my car is white. It's the best $10 monthly investment I've made in a long time! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The ONE thing that kinda bugs me is the reoccurring billing schedule. In my head, if you open an account on the 8th of November, you're guaranteed service until the 7th of December (30 days). With Speedy Wash, it doesn't matter what date you start your membership. The following month on the 1st, your membership fee will be deducted. Granted, at the beginning, you to pay a prorated rate, but the trade-off isn't really consumer friendly. It's not really anything to throw a hissy abt-if you are buying car washes, I'd assume having $10 available in an account isn't an issue-but for some people, that deduction may/could come out at an uttermost inconvenient time; like a week in-between payday or they've simply forgotten when it's due, there's no money available, the account gets suspended and now they are sitting at the automated pass kiosk embarrassed and holding up other customers. 😶...I am "some people."🤣

I use 2-3 times a week. The Speed Wash pass is awesome. I have the mid grade pass , 15.95 a month and get my car washed as needed. Very easy to turn pass on and off via email. Keep the RFID tag and turn it back on as needed. James is very helpful. Great place. My only complaint is the traffic pattern trying to turn in.

Awesome car wash close to my job. I use them about once a month. The car wash and setup is awesome. Does a great job. My two issues have been the several vacuums in the self interior area are often clogged and nasty. Getting in and out of lot can be a slight traffic pain depending on where your coming from and going. I have not used their detailing service yet.

Only car wash I've seen to have them... however what's the purpose of paying a monthly fee for a pass when you have to wait to get through. I think the speed wash should exclusively be for members only... i hated waiting 20 minutes for people to pay.

Prices could be better, but they are merely taking advantage of what is called a geographical monopoly (a strategically located business for the sake of maximum profits). This is just business smarts, and good on them for seeing the opportunity. As far as quality itself, its pretty good, and its reasonably close to the ramps for using I-264. If youre looking for fast food eats there are several locations in the immediate vicinity. For the price of convenience, and being in a hurry, they do a good job and yes there are vacuums on site. For the price of convenience, they do a decent job.

Went above and beyond put all my cords and things in plastic bags, took care of chocolate on my leather seats, made carpets look new. Also got my friends back window free of finger prints even though its a 2 door and hard to get to. Car wash did a great job especially on the rims

Good, fast car wash. I've only started using this location recently but so far I really enjoy it. It offers many price points depending on how dirty your car is, prices range from $3 to around $15 or so 0lus the detail options for quite a bit more. They have a few great extras that most other car washes do not. They have a bug station where you can prep your front grill and windshield to help get the tough bug stains out during the wash. They also have a free vacuum area for all customers, even with the $3 wash option, really a great feature.

Overall pretty good I have the $50 membership so full service wash and hand dry. Full service the employees should make sure it’s completely dry and tires/rim as well but never is. I’ve been told because it’s not the detail package but as a member I feel what’s the point of full service if you’re purposely not going complete hand dry it just because I don’t have the detail package.

I believe they're very competent at Speedwash. They seem to have a well trained staff and they have good equipment. The only drawback is its popularity. I would recommend a subscription, if you're a person who likes to keep a clean car. I like this place. I've been using it for over a year.

I go to the speed wash by Popeyes on Bardstown Road about four times a week . When I let the the employees clean out my car they do fantastic job. There was one time it was raining out my daughter had made mess . I used my speed pass . The employee allowed my wife and I to go on the inside for free to clean out the car which really nice he did not have to do that.

I have not tried any of their premium washes or had them detail my car but can imagine they do a fine job.

Great full service carwash. Love the express detailing. Never seen that before, and done so efficiently. Got the interior detail and hand wax. The guys really made sure every spot was detailed and did it all in 30min. Would have taken me most the day, and better job then places I have paid 3 times for a full detail. For a $5 was you can’t complain too much but I wouldn’t waste my money on any of their more expensive options as the results are usually less than stellar. There are always several spots on my car that never get touched by their brushes and rollers and I even tend to have more problems and spots with their higher priced washes due to the large amount applied and too-quick rinse. A car wash is a car wash, but for $5 they do a better job than most. Just don’t waste your money on the more expensive options and expect a pristine job.

They are not able to turn off the drying rollers at the end. If so, you have to go to a lower package. I tried two vacuums and both had less than satisfactory suction. The tire spray doesn't spray evenly around the tire. I tried going through a second time, but it wouldn't allow me through again.

It's okay. I would prefer to rate 3.5 stars for a few reasons. 1. There's no floor mat washer. 2. The rinse should be a little heavier. 3. Needs more dryers. 4. The prewash station is horrible nasty smelling water. This should be changed repeatedly. Especially before someone scratches their car. 5. You cannot have the best package if you want the drying rollers off. I don't want for fear of scratches. 6. Tire dressing coverage is spotty at times.

Great place at a great price they have so many options on car washes. You can even have your car detailed there. Prices start at $3 for a basic wash and go up from there you can even buy monthly passes. A $3 wash and free vacuum is a deal you can not pass on.

It's great for a quick wash! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the vacuum area isn't covered. Other than that it's a good place to get your car clean cheap and fast.

I feel like right after it snows they know everyone is going to want their car washed from the salt and snow so they speed the machines up to get people through quicker, but the only thing that does is makes us pay for the same services but only half the quality. I don't mind to wait to get what I paid for, which is the job done right!

There's a place called Thomas car wash in buechel Old Bardstown Road that do what the essay would say hands on cleaning your car in and out and I know a good job, but they've been around for years he weigh before I was born I was hacked, but I was born.

You can pay extra to have your car vacuumed, inside windows cleaned, and outside hand dried. I should've vacuumed my car myself, I do a better job. If they wiped out the cup holders, that would be nice. I will go back (only for the car wash) though.

Ok so I read through these reviews and the negative ones all seem to be from the detail service. One reason I dont pay others to detail my truck is that I'm a perfectionist and no one does it like me.....also it's kinda funny when you see someone trying to get a new touch screen or something for free because they claim it was scratched....no business would treat customers like that....that's why there are lawyers. I have sued businesses for stuff like this. It's too easy to win. Also these millenials that get all their little friends to post bad reviews all because the $3 wash didn't clean the car that they have not washed in two years since daddy gave it to them......grow up! Now about the wash! A friend told me about this place because he knows I wash my truck almost every day in the summer......now I won't be! In stead I bought the monthly plan and every day for the last two weeks I have been to speedwash. My truck looks AWESOME and I can take my time vacuuming. I paid for the lava wash and extra dry ( an automated Chamois wheel that is aces!) Zero complaints and the folks there seem to be awesome. I recommend the monthly wash plan 100% as that's all I e used and it's perfect! By the way my truck is White and Gold and no there are no paint spots on it since coming here! Here's what I like...... car wash is fast Gets truck clean Shines well Love the rainX Love the tire scrubber Love the tire shine applicator Love the blow dryer Love the chamois wheel dryer Love the vacuum station with two different heads on them one for under seats o e for flat floors. Great place in town to get a car wash! $3 gets you a an automatic car wash AND unlimited time vacuum. If you're a frequent, you can get unlimited car washes for around $30 a month, that's like a dollar a day if you wash everyday!

I take my two toddler boys with me for my vehicle's weekly wash/detail, because they love going through the car wash and watching other cars get washed while we wait for the detailing. We all know what customer service in the Buechel area is generally like, so the first time or two I visited, I thought maybe the great customer service was a fluke- that everyone was just having a great day, or the boss was in so everyone was on best behavior. I have high standards, but reasonable expectations of high turnover service positions... But! Over the months, the level of professionalism and courtesy I experience EVERY time we visit has blown me away! I'm ALWAYS greeted politely and with a smile. They ALWAYS hold the door for us to go inside while we wait for the detailing. They are ALWAYS kind to my boys, even though they're little boys and always running around. They ALWAYS offer us bottled water. They are ALWAYS patient, even though it takes us quite a while to unload and then get loaded back in. The staff is ALWAYS professional yet personable with coworkers and customers alike. The place is ALWAYS spotless, inside and outside. I've ALWAYS felt safe, even though, let's be real- this isn't the BEST area of Bardstown Rd... Today, they actually helped me put the boys back into their car seats! And most importantly,, they do a FANTASTIC job! Value for the cost of the monthly wash package is definitely worth it! In case I haven't made my point clear so far I HIGHLY recommend SpeedWash on Bardstown Rd @ the Watterson! I'm talking BETTER customer service than Chick-Fil-A! 🤯🤯🤯

If you live in the highlands this is the carwash location for you. Located off bardstown and the waterston freeway. 5 dollars for automatic wash and free vacuum. I have opted for a monthly pass which is 9.99 a month. 1 wash per day and vacuum. I drive a lexus IS and love that daily she looks beautiful. Even when its packed they have three lanes and cars move fast. I recommend this place to anyone.
