Chris/Melvin/Victor were all super pleasant, accommodating, and professional.
All stayed past closing time to finalize the deal.
Call ahead and schedule an appt time before going; the show room was packed with people waiting but we were able to get assistance/purchase as a walk in on a Saturday afternoon.

Best Lexus dealership I've been to. Melvin was great and very helpful. They do not charge bunch of FEES like other dealerships do. Simple, Professional and thorough. One recommendation though -The detail crew needs to speed up the process a bit. I will be going back there for my next car 100%.

My husband and I went to Koons Lexus of Wilmington to look at a car. We met our salesman, Marty Erwin and were really impressed. Marty was phenomenal to work with. He was so personable, very polite and we never felt rushed or pressured. He showed us 3 cars and we decided on one of them and bought it that day. 3 days later we decided to trade in our other car and we made an appointment to see Marty. We also purchased a car that day as well.
We worked with Hadi to get the financing completed and he was great to work with. He explained everything really well and we were really satisfied. Everyone we met at the dealership were really friendly and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend Koons Lexus of Wilmington. Everyone there and especially our salesman Marty, get a two thumbs up!! Thank you all for making this a really pleasant experience!

Loons Lexus of Wilmington deserves more than 5 stars . From the moment I contacted the dealership I was received top tier service . Phone calls to set up an appointment were professional and done in a manner where they did not seem desperate . They made me feel welcomed and the hospitality was great as soon as I stepped in the facility. The sales person was interested in my situation and seemed genuinely excited to help and find the right car for me. The process was smooth and easy . Once I got to the finance portion of the car buying process I almost felt like a family member was assisting me and giving me pointers during the process . I would seriously recommend them to anyone and I will definitely be going back to purchase another car in the future .

I was in the market for a used vehicle for my wife. She was leaving for a trip south and said she would love to drive her new vehicle if we could find one. I found a vehicle matching what she wanted and contacted the dealer. I asked for the manager Drew and asked if he could personally take a look at the car and provide me an honest description. He was happy to assist and called me back within an hour. His description allowed me to feel comfortable with moving forward knowing there were a couple things that still needed to be done to the car as it had just arrived. My wife was leaving for her trip in 48 hours and I expressed that to Drew. The next day they finished what needed to be done on the car and sent it to be detailed. Because of the time my wife and I could not get up there to get it. Drew set up for me to do the paper work on line and had my salesman Jayson Kirk and another staff member meet my wife and I half way. Everything went great as we met them and the vehicle was 100% as described signed some of the documents and were on our way. My wife left the next morning for her trip very happy and has called me 50 times asking me how do I do this and where is that, LOL. Kidding only 3 or 4!! I want to thank everyone there from the GM Joe, to Drew (sales manager), Drew (finance Manager) and salesman Jayson. You made it so easy to buy a car I had never seen at a great deal.

I would be remiss it I did not take the time to acknowledge the outstanding service I received from Danielle Stevens and the technician that worked on my car over the holiday weekend. Travelling from New York to Baltimore, my IS250 broke down. Luckily this dealership was a couple of miles from where my car was towed. I was frantic, however Danielle was extremely professional, patience, kind and knowledgeable. After speaking with the technician, I knew I was in good hands. They did a great job and at a great price. Love the integrity and expert service I received from Danielle and her team. She even called the next day to ensure we made it back to New York safely, now that's what I call great customer service!

Due to recent surgery I could not drive to the dealer. Having done much research I sought a Lexus dealer. The nearest one was an hour away in my state of Delaware. I went to Koons Lexus of Wilmington to replace a car purchased only 11 months ago but had been totaled in a collision with a deer. Jesus Colon was again my sales rep and was able to work the numbers to allow the purchase of the replacement at minimal financial discomfort. I hope it will be a while before I need another car, but when the time comes, I will be looking for Jesus. Oh, by the way, the replacement car is great.

Erik was extremely knowledgable and very friendly. Erik listened and offered recommendations based on what I was telling tell him. When we test drove several different models, he knew all the cars different features and encouraged me to get the most out of the test drive. When it was time for me to take my new car home, he made sure I knew how to program my phone, set my seat to my preference and program my radio. My 16 year daughter was with me and was super impressed at the white glove experience we received at Koons. While the process is long to actually close on the vehicle, Donna went out of her way to deliver the car once it was ready. As a follow-up to my earlier feedback, I now fully retract what I described earlier. Leigh Encarnacion Customer Relations Manager personally reached out to me to apologize and make this right for me. As a result, I'm now in the process of completing the purchase of the ES300H that I originally wanted to buy. Ja See Thomas Carroll has made this a 5-star experience for me to do this all remotely and answered all my questions. He personally took pictures and created a video of the car and its condition. I should be receiving my car in the next week here in GA. I was reminded that this is the fourth Lexus we've purchased and the level of service we've received is what we've come to expect. If you're an out-of-state buyer, Koons discriminates and will not sell to you. Today, I received a quote from sales associate Tiffany and she provided me with an out the door prices for an ES300H that included taxes, doc fees and title fees. She even provided a car transport mover to give me a quote. When I called back to finalize the purchase it went to their "product specialist" Elvis, who tried to convince me to buy the Cilajet coating or do financing when I was ready to pay cash. As a result, of not wanting either option, he refused to sell to me and forwarded me to his sales manager Drew. He called me back and apologized for what was communicated earlier, but gave me an explanation that they only deal with folks locally and not out of state. I'm not sure if this was all correct. Personally, I felt discriminated and not being dealt with on a fair business practice. For a Lexus dealership, I'm surprised by this service or hard selling tactics. At least Carmax and Carvana, don't charge bogus fees and will sell to you from anywhere.

How to put ink to my experience. After searching for a replacement for my lease we settled on a certified Lexus. We saw online that Koons had our ideal car. Our Salesman DJ worked with us, found the car stashed away and got the ball rolling. I was on a conference call for work at the time, but he got everything set while I was trying to multi-task. Then when I sat with the Finance Director who personally handled my financing arrangements, he gave me an even better rate than my pre-approval. I had to take the car to service to get a few things looked at, and they put me in a nice 2021 loaner for the day. So basically everything they say they will do for their customers Koons actually does and more. Every day I ask my wife is she happy with her car and the answer is always YES!!! Although we live an hour away from the dealership, it's still worth the drive for the excellent service we receive. We are very happy with our purchase and are already looking ahead to finding our perfect second car.

Over the years buying a car for me has become more of a hassle rather than something to get excited about. After searching online, I found a used RX350 1 owner that was bought and serviced with Koons since it was delivered in Delaware. I called up spoke with Ryan to make an appointment to come to check out the vehicle. Once I arrived at Koons I was greeted by Erik. He made me feel extremely comfortable from the start. We talked about which vehicle I wanted, then took it on a test drive. He was super patient with me as I made sure each thing worked in the car which made me super confident in my purchase. The car was just traded in so it needed some minor things done which Koons had no hesitation in fixing. In addition to the minor fixes, Erik was able to get all the things that I wanted to be included in my deal which I was extremely happy with. When we came back to sign everything Erik had everything all ready for Pernell so we could spend as little time on the lot as possible. Pernell the finance manager was very professional, informative, and made you feel completely at ease. When I came to receive my vehicle from detailing and service the car looked beautiful. It had a black box sitting on the dash with Koons Lexus on the lid, inside were the 2 keys with very nice leather keychains on them. It was the little things like that in which I truly left Koons feeling great about my purchase. I can’t wait to enjoy my vehicle for years to come. Thank you for everything Erik! Update : was supposed to have an issue resolved with my car and had promises made by Drew however he does not return my voicemails and I am extremely displeased with his unprofessional behavior and lack of following through with his word. My purchase experience was nice however the follow up with promises made has been poor.

Dario are some Rude Individuals once they have your money in thier pockets, And watch out for there finance managers they will lie to you with a straight face and tell you stories to pull you in. I was told i was getting a employee rate that will get me a lower finance charge which i got a 1.9 rate but it wasnt because of no special treatment
like i was told. Be careful with these slick people there nice to begin with but after you drive away there laughing behind your back and they will not be helpful if you have a problem if they do help at all it will not be to your satisfaction.
I brought a GX 460 and the car fax say no accident but the sun was definitely in a accident it pulls to the left and the front bumper was out of place after looking under the car I seen that the tire guard was torn and the back bumper was out of line with the light which tells me something happened to this car. It haven't even been a month and I feel like I've been scammed.
I put down 20k and traded in a 17 bmw i328. I will be following.
Follow up details: since this situation took place things did work out ok I ended up getting into a 2022 gx460 which was only about 10k more that the 2020. So I'm happy and thank you Lee in customer care for all of your support

I had a very good experience on the sales side of buying my Lexus. Unfortunately the back office process for me to get my plates was a disaster. I never received a call that they were in. They told they would be mailed to me. When I called to check on them I was told things were running late due to Covid but turns out the plates were with the receptionist for over a month without a call into me. I was pulled over by a policeman since my tags were expired. Lexus never told me I was supposed to get renewed paper license if mine expired. A complete disaster and I was extremely disappointed. Let’s hope this process gets fixed for other customers!

There are not enough positive things I can say about Koons Lexus. I have been a Lexus owner for 10+ years and have visited quite a few Lexus dealers to shop for vehicles and/or service. None of them even come close to the level of service provided at Koons. We drove from New Jersey for a specific vehicle and we met Harry. Harry was wonderful from start to finish. He spent time getting to know us and our wants/needs and he was beyond knowledgeable about the vehicle and the products in general. I never felt like he was selling or pushing me on anything. The next day after my purchase I received two calls, one from service and one from customer service. They were also both very nice. Honestly, everyone we have come into contact there was happy, smiling, seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy to help. Many local Lexus dealers could really use some help and advice from this dealer. I will definitely be visiting this dealer for all of my Lexus needs in the future for both service and purchasing. Enjoy the perks too (pickup/delivery for service), free beverages, etc. Although the tradein/buying process was relatively painless (the finance guy (can't remember his name!) Was very, very nice and the electronic paperwork was amazing!), I was a little upset with the numbers given to me. For the one trade‐in, we were told Koons would match the price given us. You didn't. Then we were told we get 9-10k for our other trade. Offered 8k. Came up to 8.5k after some discussion. If salesperson did not have authority to give correct numbers, they shouldn't have been said at all. Then we see said car for sale for $14,700. Even putting $2-3k into, you still make 3-4k profit. Not bad, huh? Couldn't have given us the other $500? Other than that, great!

I have never been in a Lexus dealership before, but I have been in a lot of of other dealerships in Texas, and PA. To be honest, due to past service and mistrust I never wanted to go to a dealership. It always felt like they were after my money rather than giving me good service and their best deal.
I recently have lost my husband and friends have helped me look for a car for my daughter. Drew helped us and was very respectful of our situation. Never once did I feel or suspect he was going to try to make a sale. He was honest and very straightforward with all he said and did. He even followed up with me a few times, after we had purchased the car to make sure everything was working okay and see how we were liking things. My recent husband was in sales for 23 years and because of that, our family has always placed extreme priority on the best customer service, and the way we treat people. I can honestly say I will definitely call Drew Saksa at Koons Lexus of Wilmington in the future if we are in need of a car. His genuine care and follow up is just that... GENUINE. Recently had my '21 RX in for a 20K service. It was a complimentary service due to some past issue Koon's tried to make right, and I appreciate that. However, the 20K service has an oil change, tire rotation, multi-point inspections, and a new cabin air filter as components of this service per the Koon's website and Lexus maintenance schedule. My tires were not rotated and the cabin air filter was not changed. The invoice has the rotation as being done, but there was nothing on it about the air filter. My wife had brought the car in for service and I noticed (while getting gas a few days later) that a rim she scratched this winter was still on the same axle. I tried reaching out to Koon's through their website, left a message for the service advisor, and then later the customer relations manager. After 3 days of being ignored I am posting this review. I will still have to use them for warranty work, but my service work will go to a local Toyota dealer where I have had good service experience. I don't trust Koon's to do the work the are supposed to do. My advice is that you that Koon's does the service work the said they did (rotation) or that they are supposed to do (air filters). Beware of not getting what you paid for, at least I did not have to pay for what was essentially an oil change (did I even get a new oil filter?).
Update: Koon's did reach out to me and made everything right. They also repaired a nick on one of the wheels and did a detail for the trouble of bringing the car back. I moved them up one star.

Showed up for appointment was told wheel repair guy only comes on Thursday and Mondays. So wasted 2 hours . Made another appointment for Thursday showed up service guy says we don’t do wheel repairs here you will have to go to the used car parking lot in Elsmere . All this Aggravation could have been avoided by just referring people there in the first place. I did finally get it fixed but what a pain. From the moment we arrived to test drive the RC300, we were introduced to friendly, courteous and, knowledgeable representatives, including our salesperson, Dario McCollin. Our vehicle was ready and waiting outside for us to arrive, and after our test drive, Dario explained everything we could possibly want to know about the car, answered all our questions, and spent a generous amount of time with us, making us feel comfortable in the decision to lease. The financial representative, Jim White, worked with us to get us to the monthly payment that we were comfortable with, and we left feeling very excited about our new vehicle being delivered to our door the very next day. The next day, Dario arrived at our home at the agreed time in our gorgeous ivory pearl RC300, and spent a full hour with me in the vehicle, giving me a personal tutorial on all of the features and technology. As an update to my previous review, Ms. Leigh Incarnation with Customer Service called me, listened to my issue, investigated the hold up on my $6K in refunds, and gave me her personal cell phone number to call her at any time while she assisted me. It was solely because of Leigh's attention, understanding and due diligence that I am finally getting a full refund, which Leigh will personally fedex to me. This is the kind of excellence in service that I expect from Lexus. Leigh has exceeded my expectations in having owned and resolved my issue with professionalism and with the urgency it merited. She would be well-positioned to train the finance manager, Hadi, who is just awful and is the exact opposite of Leigh. Kudos to Leigh for saving Lexus from a lawsuit and more importantly, for treating me like the deserving customer that I am.

I found a car that I’d been searching for online at this dealership, which was out of state for me. Then I viewed their ‘meet the team’ page and saw Kia Turner on the sales team. Since 2004 we have bought 5 new Lexus from Lexus of Wilmington.
The primary reason is because of George Shear in their service department.
George has made owning each of these automobiles such a pleasure by being so responsive. A week ago I called George late on a Friday afternoon with a question. George returned my call with an answer to my question at 7:00 pm while on his way out to dinner with his wife waiting in his car.
That kind of service so above and beyond the call do duty that I had to write this review. I only wish there was a way to give him 10 stars!

My trade in was appraised based on VIN and a few photos that I took of the car. The final fees were determined before we went to the dealership for signing the papers which took about an hour or two, after which we rode back home in a great new car.

It took almost 3 weeks to get a valet pickup scheduled from Dover, DE for the 55K service. The very next day after car was returned, the tire pressure monitoring light was illuminated. Pressure in tires was out of limits on both right front and right rear tires. I brought the pressure up to 32 psi for all and had no issue since. Also the tire valve stems on the right side of the vehicle had no caps, which indicated to me that the tire pressure was never checked during the service. One would expect that to happen since the tires were rotated.

I took my 2013 Lexus IS 250 in for a routine servicing. It was my first experience using the dealership as I just moved to the area. I arrived at the dealership and was quickly greeted by the valet in the service area. There was a Lexus loaner car waiting for me which is awesome because I can't stand driving anything else other than Lexus. Also at this point I met the service manager Jason Binder. Jason was very welcoming to me and made me feel at ease that the situation was 100% in his control. In the early afternoon hours I received a call from Jason that my car was ready!! Our salesman HARRY and the new car sales manager KIM made our overall experience a good one that resulted in our purchase of a new Lexus! Good enough of an experience that we were willing to overlook our negative experience with the one manager. Harry was welcoming, friendly, and was fair and fun duing negotiations. Kim was genuine and caring; in sum, working with these two made buying a new car (which can be exhausting) feel good! Also, CHRIS in finance was great, made the finance process enjoyable.
Tip: if there is a certain vehicle in their inventory that you are going there to see, let them know in advance so that they can have it ready for you (some of their inventory is kept elsewhere, and it takes a hot minute for them to get it)

I bought a 2017 GS 350 from here. It was a very smooth transition. I came to pick up my 2015 GS form getting serviced and saw a 2017 GS in the showroom and figured I would upgrade. Kelly the sales rep ran the numbers and we came to an agreement after some negotiations. Drew the finance manger is great. He got the paperwork done very fast. Took me less then 10 minutes to go through all of the paperwork. I did get the Tire & Wheel protection through Lexus, I highly recommend getting that if you get the premium wheels. I had that with my 2015 and it came in handy several times. Came in the next morning to pick up my car since the car needed to get detailed. Debbie the technology specialist went through all of the features of he car with me and setup my hands free for me. She took her time to make sure I was comfortable with how all of the features worked . I would definitely recommend Lexus of Wilmington to my family and friends. They have an exceptional staff form sales to service. They have some of the friendliest service staff.

Absolutely the best experience!!! I shopped around 3 dealerships and chose Koons Lexus of DE because they were the most anxious to do business with me. My sales person was Jim Ruggiero who waited 45 minutes on a Friday after they had closed to help me purchase my car. He had a great personality and good at his job.
In August, 2015, I had just bought a 2016 Mazda CX5 with all the upgrades and it was a sharp car. I was a little disappointed in the size and over all luxury. While out shopping, I parked my car next to a new 2016 Lexus RX 350 about 2 weeks before purchasing my first Lexus. Once seeing it, I had to have it and now that I have it, I am loving this car and its new design.
I am so very pleased with the service I received at Koons Lexus of DE. On that Friday night, we agreed on the car and they gave me a generous trade in and put me in a new Lexus sedan for the 10 days it took for my special ordered car to come in.
Once in, the car was gorgeous and I really appreciated the tech person who took over an hour to make sure I knew how to use all the features. I was also happy that she helped me capture the moment by taking great pictures of me and the car.
Finally, yes I would recommend Koons Lexus of DE. Their facility is beautiful and we enjoyed siting around the fireplace while we waited for the car. All the staff that we met were very friendly.

The service experience provided by Joseph Sweitzer was professional, even though I ended up not getting the diagnostic service at the time as I was quoted 3 times the price then what I was quoted on the phone.

I gave Koons 3 stars because of service and responsibility. When we decided to trade in our 2016 RX 350 F Sport to go to a new GX 460, we happily went back to Koons. It was where the RX had come from and we had fantastic service with them. Buying experience with the GX was just as good, and we left, happily, with a new car. All good here and I've give them 5 stars.
Where it goes badly: service. I've had a few conflicts with the service department. Unbeknownst to them, cars are a passion of mine, so I have a pretty good idea when my cars need something or don't...or when they are yanking me around.
Anyway, I've had a few issues with Koons and their service department yanking me around (telling me that the brakes on my car were "break in" brakes and are manufacturer designed to be changed during the first 10k mile service....). At the 10k mile service, they scratched the rear corner bumper of the car. It's pretty minor to be honest, but nonetheless, I called them out on it. They denied it and said there's no way they could have done it and it was surely me. They didn't realize I usually take before and after pictures when I get my cars serviced (particularly the sports cars like my M collection) and knew that my car wasn't scratched prior to going in.
The frustration with their service department continues to grow. I will probably continue to buy my Lexus cars from Koons, but with this scratch being the last straw, I will be looking elsewhere for service. I'm tired of their service department yanking me around on money-grab, false service claims.
Everyone has good and bad side, now you know about Koons.

1. Service scheduling process is poorly managed: call center associates that cannot help to proceed with the simple tasks of scheduling a service appointment; ineffective call redirection; online scheduling lacks an option to choose a particular consultant.
2. Lexus is considered a premium brand, and dealers charge premium cost even for the regular maintenance. But with Koons my car had never went out of service properly washed - service consultant always had to do additional cleaning himself and wipe out all around the vehicle.
3. Koons Lexus dealership is tight, has not enough space on the parking lot, no designated parking lots for the service vehicles.
On the other hand, George Shaer, assistant service manager, did his job great yesterday, as always. Thank you and your technicians, George!
Few words about sales management. My GX is almost 3 years old. It can be traded in now. Sales managers at Koons tried to cold call me once about a month ago - of course, with no success and no follow-up. But NO ONE from sales contacted me yesterday at the dealership when I visited service and had enough time to listen to their presentations, financing options, and to have a test drive with new Lexus.

I bought my certified preowned Lexus IS 250 here last September and was very pleased with my experience. The customer service was fantastic and the finance team matched my interest rate at 1.99%. I'm very happy with my vehicle, but I noticed a pulsing in the brakes that I took in to get checked out at a different Lexus service center. I found out there were after market brake pads and rotors that made the pulsing sensation on braking but was advised it was not a safety issue. I called Koons Lexus of Wilmington to inquire about the after market parts. Leigh explained to me CPO vehicles may have after market parts from the previous owner and unfortunately are not covered under warranty. Leigh did not want me to hang up the phone unsatisfied, so she said she would call me back. Within 10 minutes, I was on a 3 way call with Leigh and the service manager Jason. They explained that although the parts were not under warranty, they believe customer satisfaction is much more important. They offered to replace the after market parts with Lexus parts with no hassle or no questions asked. A couple weeks later the job was finished at my local service center and my brakes feel much better! Many thanks to Leigh and Jason for their impeccable customer service! Even though I do not live in the area, I would go back to Koons Lexus of Wilmington for my next vehicle purchase; I highly recommend this dealer to anyone!

I saw the car posted on CarGurus and I knew when I read the description, this was the I was getting!! I called in and the sales manager referred me to Donna. She is a really nice lady, but doesn’t explain much, and comes across as overwhelmed and impatient (especially on the phone). The mirror frame was cracked, but it wasn't noticed until the next day because I purchased the car at night. I guess since she seen I wanted the car, she didn’t explain the features, nor did a final walk around of the car, which is how that issue was missed. I sent numerous emails and made several calls, but nothing was resolved until the customer service manager Lee called me. Lee definitely saved this review and made my experience a lot better!

Lexus in Wilmington is huge and has two locations. The facility is super clean and classy. They have a good snack and beverage station if the meeting takes longer than expected! They have a great selection of cars that are in great shape and for their condition, the price is low! They match prices to their best ability. Our sales rep was John T. I purchased the vehicle that day and your salesman, Rob Sweet insisted that you would inspect and repair any issues and then would deliver the car to me over 140 miles away out of state! Worst overall dealership experience ever!! Found the car I wanted, agreed on price, and it was all downhill from there. Car not detailed at pickup, missing floor-mat, broken component in car. Dealership owed me a substantial amount of money back from trade, told multiple times you will get the money at pickup. Yet during car pickup given excuse that I would get my money following week.
For weeks I followed up with the dealership asking for updates on outstanding issues: car detail, missing floor-mat, wheel repair, broken component, and my check. No one person took control to ensure all parties inside dealership accounting, sales, services were all on the same page. Given a different story by every person I spoke. Finally a month after owning the car items are being addressed.
Took 4 weeks for dealership to send my check. Then sent it via regular mail not sent overnight mail with tracking number.
The level of stress, inconvenience, and lost of trust this transaction caused is unforgivable!! The Salesman, Stephan, was the best part of my experience.

However experience that I had with the sales person Eric Ortizia close enough to bring me back. Never in my 66 years have I experienced such customer service and caring. Eric has called me numerous times to make sure that things that were promised we’re done and then I was happy with my vehicle. I’ll preface this whole review with three qualifiers:
1) everyone at Koons Lexus is always super nice to me and very helpful; the facility is beautiful and up to date; service is easy to get into and the valets were very quick.
2) Koons Lexus parts department has been great to me for almost 20 years
3) I wouldn’t have left this review if the dealership had not sent me a text asking me to.
I bought a new-to-me Lexus private sale and decided I wanted an OEM auto starter installed. I have a family friend who used to work as a certified Lexus tech (I won’t mention where but there’s only one Lexus dealer in town) who tells me it’s a 2 hour install but the ecm has to be flashed by the dealer. No way around it. The part can be purchased new from a Lexus dealer in CA for $180 shipped.
I called Koons Lexus and scheduled a service appointment to have the auto start ecm installed and flashed for $560. When I arrived I was told that was an inaccurate quote and it would be $720; $240 for the part and 3 hours at $160/hr. he explained that the ‘call center’ had given me the quote incorrectly, they do it all the time, he’s talked to his manager about it before but there’s nothing he can do, etc.. I asked if I could buy and install the part and bring the car in for the flash, and he told me they would only do it if I bought the part from them and they installed. I told the guy to bring my car back around and he should probably try to do something about the call center lying to people. I drove away salty just because of what I felt was a bait and switch, but by the time I got to work I called back and left a message that I really don’t want to go aftermarket and I was supposed to get paid on a big job this weekend so keep the part and I’ll get it done next week. He called me back and said he could offer me a coupon for $100 off and should’ve done that before I had left. I took the car back, they gave me a 2021 for the day, I paid the $620 and everything was fine.
So in the end they billed me the full retail $240 for the part and 2.375 hours at $160/hr to install it, but I felt like they worked with me and they made it a pleasant enough experience. Would I have taken it somewhere cheaper if I could? Yeah, I would. Would I have been able to save hundreds of dollars if they’d let me install it myself? Yeah, I would. Whatever. Car starts.

Trying to buy a car for our 21 year old daughter during the COVID-19 Pandemic was a miserable experience until we met Donna at Koons. Each car lot that our daughter contacted had their own rules, ranging from not being able to physically see the car you were buying, to no test driving, and setting up appointments that were almost a week out without the ability to reserve the car we were interested in. A simple phone call to Koons explaining how this kid kept losing cars before her appointment was all it took for them to accommodate her (dad was a little bit of a d*ck over the phone). Donna stayed late and was able to get our daughter in her new car easily. She came off as an authentic blue collar woman who was as compassionate as she was cool, and quickly turned our car buying misery into an overall awesome experience. Without a doubt we’ll be returning to Koons Lexus of Wilmington in the future!

The day after I wrote the review below I was contacted by the costumer relation manager Leigh Encarnacion, she took the time to listen to me regarding my bad experience I had at the dealer. She was able to take care of the broken fog light (I had a picture to prove it), and she also had the dealer write me a check for the expenses I had right after I bought the vehicle. Besides taking care of my issues the most important part was the great costumer service she showed while taking care of my concerns. With all that being said I can say I recommend Koons Lexus of Wilmington 100% percent, because if even something goes wrong they will make it right unlike other dealers that will just take your money.
Side note: Just make sure if you have any concerns to contact Leigh Encarnacion she is the right person to go to and will do her best to solve your issues.

I purchase a used car from here in 2011 and the experience was nothing but great and excellent. I came back to purchase another vehicle in March, 2015 to have a very bad experience with how things were handle that day. The day of the sale the vehicle needed a detail and also had a tired with low tire pressure, I did not want to take the vehicle that day because I wanted it to be detailed first and all the issues taking care of. Since I was very pleased with my first experience I trusted that these issues would be taking care of next day as it was promise by sales man. I got there the next day I was told the vehicle could not be detailed, I drove back to the dealer and spoke with a manager who was able to have my car detailed that day after waiting for 2 + hours and plus another hour driving to the dealer, waiting for a manager, talking to the manager, and then driving back to the place where they do the details. Not to mention the bad time they me go through I was really upset, since I was lied to by a place I had high expectations of. Once my vehicle was giving back to me after the long wait it wasn't even detailed they did a 20 min job in two hours they did a regular wash and just vacuumed the inside and put shinny stuff on dash that is all they did. That week I called and spoke with the sales man who schedules me again to get the car detailed again I dropped off the vehicle and this time the job was done correctly. When I asked the salesman about the car getting the tire pressure fix, getting an oil change, alignment, and transmission fluid changed. He told me he can have the car schedule at a mechanic that did not work in the dealer at it was located somewhere else because that is where they service their used vehicles, I did not wanted to go that route since it was regular mechanic I did not know, so I ended up taking the vehicle to my own mechanic and paying to get the tire fix since it had a nail and also paying for the services that needed ( that should of been done prior to selling the vehicle), and the vehicle was sold to me with a broken fog light not the sales man never mentioned to me of course. I was left with a very bad impression I tried emailing a manager never got a response. Overall the customer service for my second experience was horrible, but at least the two vehicles I purchase from the dealer came out good and very pleased with my purchase but again not with pleased with how I was treated.

Everyone should experience purchasing a New Lexus From John Skehan at least once in your lifetime! I have been purchasing new and used cars since 1981. My father was a used car dealer so I have had too many models to mention. Within the past year I had purchased a Range Rover Sport for my wife. She takes care of her vehicle as well as anyone I know and keeps them immaculate. We had multiple problems which included having to replace an engine (30k) and multiple trips to very uncooperative dealerships. Last time I said one more issue within next three months and we are selling the Rover. Didn’t go a well before engine light came on again. At that point first thing I said is “it’s time for a Lexus”. Doug has been very patient with my indecisiveness - ha ha! I knew I was going to go over on my lease miles and wanted to turn my lease into a purchase early, understanding I'd carry negative equity. I would never return to my original Lexus dealership it's worth it for me to pay gas and toll, so I can feel appreciated as a customer rather than someone just collecting my money and sending me on my way. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and wanted to do everything to make me feel comfortable and to make sure my needs were being met starting with the young man that greeted me when I pulled in (didn't catch his name). I highly recommend this location they will get my business and my referrals. Thank you for all you guys did it was truly appreciated. Easily the best car buying experience I've ever had! My salesman was Pernell Pressey who took care of every detail, answering all my questions over the phone or online before I even showed up to see the car. Rob Payson is one of (if not the best) service reps at Koons Lexus. I have been serviced by 3 others in past 3 years. One was absolutely awful (thank God he's no longer employed there), and other 2 are still there and provide good service. My service experience w/Rob dates back to Oct 2012 when I purchased my new 2013 ES300h. Less than 18 hours from purchase, I had an unfortunate incident where yellow road paint splashed on my car and tires. When I called Koons, no one was helpful or seemed to care about the matter...that is, until I spoke with Rob. With each service since October 2012, I have worked with other service reps, but somehow Rob manages to 'clean up' where other reps have fallen short. He gets the job done and does so with excellence! Koons and all who are serviced by Rob are lucky to have him. Others may barely or simply meet expectations, but Rob goes above and beyond. Thanks, Rob, for always ensuring that customer service and satisfaction are priority. In these modern times of high tech, it's good to know there are still a few gems who understand the value of GREAT one on one personal customer service!

UPDATED AT THE BOTTOM....I met with Andrew and Pernell. I must say the experience and customer service was excellent. There was a situation that Andrew jumped right on. I’ve been calling Pernell after the purchase nothing but help and respect. Some dealerships don’t want to be bothered after you make the purchase but not those two. If they’re not available they get right back to me. Corey was the first one to help me when I went to the service area. He was very nice and basically stayed by my side until Andrew came. (He’s also the one who called Andrew for me). Also the other Drew who showed me how to use everything and set up my Bluetooth for me was so nice and patient. Today I had my appointment with Corey Reed as I just purchased a new
Lexus NX and had no idea how to work most of the systems in the car. He was very patient with me and gave me easy to understand directions on how to operate the systems. He even coached me on how to sync my garage door opener in the car using one of the remotes I have rather than
having someone have to manually press the learn button on the actual opener on the garage ceiling. He also entered a number of destinations in my Map App and Waze so I could see how do to it. I appreciate the time he spent with no pressure to rush. He also told me to call or stop by if I had any further questions or issues. It's important to have employees who are effective at what they do and make the customer feel at ease.

I took the car over to the Lexus dealership with 15 minutes left in their work day.
