Their ginormous selection of trailers available is impressive first off. Sales person Chelsey, was really on the ball the whole experience. A+ rating. She knows the product well and is always pleasant to talk with. I bought this from out of state and needed to get a video walk through to see the trailer. Chelsey took the time to shoot videos for us and answered all our questions. When I made the journey to pick up the trailer everyone was great on the walk through and very helpful. Even after returning home I had a couple items in need of attention and they mailed everything that I needed from a missing marker lens or a paperwork change. A shout out to Les and Matt in finance as well. Great facility and just a very friendly accommodating staff that really went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Yes I’m a happy camper pun intended.

I am so happy we decided to buy our first camper here. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. We've been looking for over two years. Our salesperson Chelsey was the best!!! We didn't feel pressured to buy anything so it was a pleasant shopping experience. Chelsey was extremely helpful and answered all our concerns/questions! She showed us several campers in the size we were wanting and gave us the run down on each one. Everything went smoothly from financing to pick up. Mr Wheeler was very thorough in showing us how to work everything on the camper. We truly appreciated the demonstration! We would have been lost without it. We stopped in last week to get propane. While we were there, my husband asked about our slide not going out or in completely. We have had this issue for several months. We have been to 3 different Camping World's for this issue and was told it is fine. The manager came out, spent a few minutes explaining to us how to fix it, and gave us some tips on operating the slide out. Great customer service!!!!! The best since we bought our RV in March.

We are moving across country and had an issue with a door mechanism that was not repaired right at another RV location. They gave us options on coming in as we were passing through Wichita. They repaired it right away and explained what had happened. They were simply amazing and the last place only gave us one key after they replaced the locking mechanism. They were phenomenal enough to make us two copies and said the last place should have had these for you so they didn't even charge us.

My husband decided to surprise me with a new, bigger camper upgrade that I'd been wanting so he did some research and went in and spoke too an amazing lady named Kenda, and had her assist him in looking at a few new units that he new I was interested in, and then set an appointment for the next day. We both went in and she showed us both the two that I was interested in and after her amazing and outstanding attention too us and our needs, I chose the one I liked. She then made sure that my husband was in contact with the individuals she thought were the best too help us and we bought an amazing new Toyhauler. Kenda went above and beyond any sales person that we have ever dealt with. She continued to make sure we were taking care of through the entire process and was never pushy, or acting as we was just another sale. After the weekend, we meet with her upon our arrival to trade in our older unit, introduced us to a finance man, as well as the amazing gentleman named Travis, who did our walkthrough and explained all we needed to know for our new unit. She had to leave for another appointment later that afternoon and made sure she left us in the amazing hands of one of her associates named Noel, who was also another amazing person. She then gave me and my husband and our Toy Chihuahua Tucker several gifts for our new home away from home. I was totally amazed by most of all the individuals that assisted us in our new purchase and would highly recommend going and seeing either herself or Noel if you're ever interested in making a purchase for anything related to RVs or camping supplies and all that Gander has to offer.

They have soooooo many campers its amazing. The store is huge, lots of stuff to look at. They have lots of outdoor stuff, guns, bikes, clothes, shoes etc. *****EDIT******We did end up buying a camper I thought for a great price. Scott was patient with us and showed us campers till we found just the right one. Terry is a sales clerk on the floor, he helped us tremendously on buying stuff for the camper answering questions and explaining things easy to understand. He showed us what we needed to get set up and explained why we needed each particular item. The personable service was appreciated. That's what lots of places lack today is someone there that knows what's going on and has had experience in what they are selling.

We had an excellent experience at camping world. We were on day 3 of an Rv trip when our water pump died. The service dept was closed as it was Sunday when we arrived. The parts salesman found the right replacement and instructed us in how to find YouTube videos for installation directions. We were successful, but had a leek we couldn’t figure out and had to return for service the next day. Kelly Wheeler from the service department immediately figured out our problem & kindly came out to finish the installation at no charge. He went above and beyond to help us!

I went to the service department to get supplies to fix my hot water heater, Pat Tanner greeted me soon as I walked in and did it everything he could to get me the correct parts I needed! I purchased a new trailer from CW a little over a month ago and I didnt have power to the camper while on battery. I replaced a broken plastic breaker outside of the trailer, didn’t fix my issue. I got with service, they tried over the phone then had me come in on Sunday. They checked the wiring and found a blown fuse inside the trailer which fixed it. They also helped me w/ a running light issue that led to my vehicle.

The service department at this location is amazing!! We were traveling thru Kansas and had a problem with our door on our 2022 Thor Miramar not closing and locking properly. They fixed it on the spot and even made a couple of extra keys at no charge. Absolutely will do business with them again!

Five plus stars for Camping World of Witchita and Pat Tanner. Enroute from Texas to South Dakota with my Class A, had generator problems and leveling system hiccups. Just pulled in on a hot afternoon, and even though their service department is busier than one-armed paper hangers and booked through August, Pat found / made the time to fix our problems and send us back on the road. Thanks a lot!

This review is a little different. We purchased a brand new camper over three months ago and the day we brought it home there was issues, major issues that made it inoperable for us to use. We tried so hard with the service department to get things corrected, the service manager lied to us, would not return our phone calls, it was horrible. A lot of family and friend time was lost over the summer because of these issues. But finally last week Deanna at corporate, Jimmy, Jim, and Mark in the sales department, Taryn and Amy in the service department bent over backwards to make things right for us. Not only did we get a bigger and better camper with all the bells and whistle’s we got it for the same price as the old camper, they also gave us upgrades a new TV, a new mini fridge, and a $500 gift card to compensate us for the three months we had been paying for storage but never got to use. Friday before Labor Day we drove off with our brand new camper and had an amazing weekend unfortunately it took over three months for this to happen. What I will say is if you do decide to go to Gander RV in Wichita ask for the people mentioned above they will do what it takes to make you happy they understand the issues in the service department but they will take the time to make things right.

It's a nice new store, in many ways it reminds me of the old Gander Mountain downtown, which I have missed. There are many new things though, not the least of which is the RV dealership and service department. They also have a good selection of camping gear, kayaks, guns, clothing etc., and should give Cabelas a run for thier money. Pricing on most things seems to be similar to that of Cabelas and higher than Academy but there appear to be some really good deals on sale items to make the trip worthwhile. Don't take my word for it though. Go see it for yourself!

If your going to get answers to a few questions be prepared for a sales person trying to get you to trade in your RV and/or purchase a new RV. They require all kinds of personal information and still push for a sale avoiding your questions. We've purchased camping items before but never experienced such pushy sales person. Do your homework before you go and don't get pushed into something you don't want.

We opted to shop at Gander last week to look at RVs. Noel was our salesperson and was spectacular. We initially did an online search and Noel contacted us by text to confirm a meeting time along with the manager. Once arriving at our appointment, we were treated like VIPs from the time we arrived to when we left. He was very helpful, kind, and very patient, showing us many different units and explaining the differences in each. We ended up selecting a unit but several days later after talking with our in-laws, we decided to purchase their fifth wheel trailer instead of buying from Gander. We were very impressed with their selection, there service, they're honesty in their products and above all their prices. They are extremely competitive with anybody else on the market including folks that are selling by owner. We would definitely without a doubt recommend them to anybody else searching for an RV and will be going there in the future to trade when we decide to do that. Please ask for Noel if making an appointment. He is fabulous and we'll make sure that you are taken care of from start to end. Couldn't ask for a more honest bunch of people! They really do just want to "earn your business"!

During our travels in our motorhome we were having problems with electricity in our coach. We went to Gander In Wichita Pat Tanner provided us with exceptional customer service. After I explained what we were experiencing Pat and I went out and took a look at our unit. He was able to show us what was causing the problem and how to remedy it. He had us I’ve been running in less than 30 minutes. We are very grateful for the time Pat spent with us showing us what we did wrong and how to avoid future problems. Pat even calls us later in the day just to check to see if everything was running properly. In the past we did have some customer service issues with this service department. Pat restored our faith in Gander’s service department and we are happy to remain loyal customers. Our vacation is enjoyable thanks to Pat’s sense of urgency and his professionalism He is committed to his customers.

Kenda was amazing to work with and super friendly and attentive. She didn’t try to pressure us or up sell us what we didn’t want. This is the 3rd camper purchased by our family at Camping World. The length of time we were there waiting for our camper to be cleaned and checked and to work with the finance dept was way too long. It took about 8 hours from the time we got there to the time we left. It was memorial day weekend so it was really busy. If they could stream line that process it would have been a 5 star experience. If we are just talking about Kenda, she gets 5 stars!

Rachel was very friendly and pleasant today—but what I wanted was to leave a review about the service we got when we bought our trailer. That service was not very great. The people that worked with us we’re unorganized and we had to make 3 trips to Wichita to finally get the trailer. The awning was not clean and the grab bar by the door was supposed to be tightened so it didn’t wobble and it wasn’t. The young man that showed us how to use the trailer has nice and friendly and so was the man that put the stabilizer bar and Bluetooth braking system together. The sales persons were friendly —just not very organized.

I had an emergency issue with the generator on my 2022 Thor Scope. I purchase it five days earlier from Gander RV in Columbia Missouri. I was in Wichita Kansas visiting my brother to show off my new camper. As I turned on the generator, gasoline started pouring out from underneath my camper, so I quickly turned it off & call the nearest Gander RV service in Wichita. They were book solid & very busy that day but Pat the service manager had me brought it in anyway to try & see what they can do. When I got there Kyle & Pat did what they could with the generator but it needed more than a simple fixed so I would have to take it back to Columbia Missouri to have that done. Kyle did a courtesy check on the AC Unit cuz it wasn’t putting out cold air like it should, turns out I needed a new AC also. He checked the tires pressure on all four tires cuz my tires warning was on. He was able to adjust the pressures on all fours. I appreciates Kyle for doing whatever he can to make sure I have a safe trip back to Missouri. He was very courteous & willing to take's time out to help me with a stressful & unsuccessful trip, Thank you Kyle for doing what you do & keeps up with the good working attitude. I am grateful.😊

My husband and I were heading to Oregon when our roof AC broke. We stopped at Camping World in Witchia to have it checked. They were very accommodating to us and got right on our coach even though we didn’t have an appointment. Kyle was our rep and that young man was not only pleasant but went out of his way for us. I can’t say enough about him. We also dealt with Matt and the receptionist were awesome as well. We are just leaving camping world for the second time in 3 weeks. Nothing they did but the jumped right on it. Fixed in no time. Pat the manager was awesome as well. We feel very fortunate that God placed us at this dealership to get our camper fixed. The store is very clean, they have all the supplies you need, and the staff is very helpful. We purchased a Coleman 26BH about 30 days ago and love it. We were wanting to just look at campers and Chelsey B happened to walk across my path when I asked to look at the selection. She was very helpful, courteous, and has a great personality. We decided to buy the new camper on a Friday and did not take delivery until Monday. Chelsey B stayed in contact through the entire weekend to ensure that we were up to date on the whole process. When Monday arrived and we came to the store, the whole staff was ready to go and very helpful. Jonathan was definitely a five star salesman he was great throughout the process! I would absolutely recommend him. Service however was another story, we had an appointment for 10 am to pick up our class C the rv was far from ready and we spent 7 hours going through the process. We also had a nice surprise from finance when we showed up saying the original payment quote was no longer correct and the payment was now higher than quoted.

What a wonderful place to go to for your RV Needs. I have been to a lot of RV stores and most of the time everything is dirty inside like the dealers don’t want to spend the time cleaning it before it sells. He helped me get pre approved and has the number ran for me on the camper I was wanting without coming in. So when I was finally able to go there I made an appointment and Eddie was by me the entire time. Where do I start! We were greeted as soon as we came in the store, to me that means they are attentive to their customers from the first step in! It was a positive experience from beginning to end. She took the time to explain different features for each model we looked at. Once we decided on what we wanted, she walked us through the financing, shopping for the necessities and checkout process. We were unable to get into some of the others that we were more curious about because they were locked. So, we went inside to see if anyone would be able to unlock them. Asked if she would be able to help get the other campers unlocked. “Absolutely!” She went and got the keys and took us herself. She let us know there were more options behind the building and would love to show us. Jennifer Beckner also gets 5 stars. She showed us anything we asked about. Provided knowledge on how much vehicles should pull and what was rated for living in as opposed to recreation. She was dressed in all black shirt and pants. Obviously very hot, but NEVER complained. Before we left, she gave us 2 bottles of ice cold water and wished us well as we left the store. We were very impressed with these two associates. Would highly recommend shopping in your store to anyone who asks.

Great experience! A day ago we left for a 5wk trip on our 2012 travel trailer. When we arrived at our first campsite the slide wouldn’t open. So, my wife and 2 dogs spent a very cramped night trying to figure out what to do. The next day, we stopped in to the service center and asked if someone could just take a look…thinking we might get a diagnosis. Instead, the man that helped us showed us how to manually operate the slide and when it started moving, the button started working. He didn’t charge us anything for the service. My wife and I are relatively experienced previous RV owners so we had a good idea what we were looking for. We met with Hayley and she got a list of possible units that would meet our needs. She drove us around looking at many units until we had the list narrowed down. We asked to take a closer look at several more units, Hayley gladly drove us around again (by the way it was 102 degrees outside). We went inside and met with the finance staff and they advised us of our options with several different campers. We experienced no high pressure sales, they just wanted us to be happy with our decision. We decided to sleep on it. The following day the sales manager Evan called and advised us of additional financing options on a unit we really liked, but felt was to expensive. Evan then advised us of all of our options and we made our decision and actually wound up saving more than anticipated. Throughout the entire process we did not feel pressured, instead I was made aware of all options that were open to us. The process was as stress free as a major investment could have been made. We purchased a 2020 Salem Hemisphere here, and enjoyed the process. Kenda was our sales rep and we enjoyed her spending the time with us to find the unit that fit our family needs. She was not pushy and did not tell us what we needed. After purchasing the unit the service team was great walking us through the details of the unit and fixing some minor issues prior to us leaving. I did however feel as if the financing team wanted to pull some things over our eyes. They did not present us with actual financing options, they did not lead with the breakdown of the financing arrangement they brought to us. They wanted me to sign paperwork prior to me seeing numbers, and to me that just felt unethical. When I first came in for our finance meeting i told them i wanted to see the numbers before i signed anything and 2 hours or so later I finally had paperwork, despite working on the purchase for about a week. They had us walk around with a knowledgeable rep. to outfit us with what was needed for our unit accessorial wise, and he was very helpful, even though he needed to break away sometimes to help other customers, he did not seem to mind coming back to answer other questions that we came up with. Overall great experience, but I did not like the final financing process.

Was sad when Gander Mountain in downtown Wichita closed but am very happy they opened this store. Went there for RV supplies and was pleasantly surprised they also had the great selection of hunting, camping and fishing gear. A one stop shop for me the outdoor enthusiast. Prices good compared to other big chains in town. Location is probably the only negative. A bit out of the way and address doesn't show up in my cars navigation system. Look for the huge American flag around 235 and Seneca. It's worth the drive.

Best immediate RV Service off I-35 from Canada to Mexico. Stopped with a multitude of problems with newly purchased 10 year old Class A motorhome. Technician by name of Matt had all problems diagnosed within 40 minutes, identified a faulty generator, a solenoid causing problems which was not in stock. He reset a switch at the fusebox, had a young lady by the name of Jasmin replace two breakers, tapped on the solenoid to temporarily reset it, and had us on the road again within three hours leaving the long term problems for home. And the cost for the emergency stop was like an unexpected Christmas present. Thank you Matt and Gander.

Overall Good Experience at Gander RV, took several conversations to get the deal we wanted, Joel Philipp was patient with us, easy to work with, and extremely friendly. The manager we worked with was also professional and made us feel like we were valued by the business. I would absolutely give Gander RV 5 stars for the sales staff. Our experience picking up the trailer was less positive. The staff rolled the trailer around to their pickup area and left. Nobody helped us walk through the unit or hook it up, we waited about 15 min and just decided to hook it up ourselves and leave. It didn't appear that they were busy as we were the only ones picking up a trailer at the time. (When we got close to home we did get a text from someone telling us they would be with us shortly) As a side note, when we toured the trailer initially it was very dirty, we were told it would be cleaned up, however, when we picked it up nothing had been done to clean the unit up. I hope to have a better service experience next time.

Tried to call, on hold forever. so I just drove up there to handle my business. Last year they failed to winterize properly then used my warranty to conduct repairs instead of owning their mistake and fixing it themselves. That took about 3 months out of the camping season this year. Hopefully they don't do it wrong again this year. Edit: spoke to the staff who stated they had employees last year doing it wrong by just blowing out the system. I did it myself this winter, wasn't worth the risk having it done wrong again and it being put against my warranty.

It took MUCH longer than it should have. The process of getting our truck set up was the smoothest of all. Most of the staff in Service was nice.

Jerry, Brandon and Pat at Gander RV in Wichita Kansas, are AWESOME!! We have been in the process of trading in our towable for a motorized class A RV, since June 23rd, 2021. Today July 23, 2021, we thought we were going to be able to drive the new to us, RV home. But while test driving it again the generator kept stopping. Well to try to keep this relatively short. This is the 5th thing that has been broken that they were not aware of . But these men have gone above and beyond. They have replaced each of these parts. Which has cost them $$$$, but still telling us they will make this right. We have never been treated so respectfully and Great willingness to please us the customers. We just traded in our Keystone Raptor for a Grand Design Momentum and we worked with Daniel. Daniel was super to work with. There were a few hiccups but not the fault of Daniel. Mainly miscommunication with the service dept. In the end all was worked out and can't wait for them to deliver our 5th wheel. If you are in the market, Daniel is your guy. He will do whatever he can to get you what you want. And the new Service Manager is amazing.

I went in to get information about a needed repair for my 5th wheel RV , the customer service gentleman was very helpful and patient, I also was guide around and looked at their new 2021 5th wheel toyhaulers the sales lady was knowledgeable and eager to show all features including getting a generator to run one of the newest units that had just arrived. The other workers were just as helpful to set up the wiring and generator. But the most thoughtful of all was the saleslady took time to make a vide of the inside, addressing to my wife for her viewing and info. Very helpful.

Had a awesome experience! We looked at a camper online and Hunter Black called us right away with information on the camper. He went out of his way to take a bunch of pictures and videos of it since we live in Indiana and couldn’t see it in person. We drove out last weekend and picked it up. The brakes weren’t working and Hunter stayed after hours to help get us on the road. Couldn’t say enough good things about Hunter. We highly recommend!!
