Came in and just walked around not really looking to talk to anyone. When I decided I was ready I had to go and find someone. sterling helped us look at a few cars and responded to all my questions (there were a lot I'm sorry!) he was extremely knowledgeable about the cars. I found a car I absolutely loved but wasn't ready to pull the trigger just yet. They let me take the car off the lot and have it for 24 hours before I purchased! I ended up coming back the next day to purchase. I traded in my old car and the process was incredibly easy!

We have had our vehicle serviced here twice since we purchased this ole gal and we were delighted with the service. I am a stickler for good service and these guys go the extra mile . Most recently we just had an oil change didn’t spend much money but they treated us like we did! They even placed an owners manual in the glove compartment unbeknownst to me. We really needed that especially since we just recently purchased this older model. We have found our new mechanic ! Like the terminator says …”We’ll be back”

I bought a Chevy Tahoe today from Linda and had the BEST experience! The no haggle pricing is amazing! I probably looked at 250-300 Tahoe’s before finally finding the exact one I was looking for. I had spoke to about 10 different sales people who were either rude, bland, or extremely pressuring. There were a couple who were nice but just didn’t have what I was looking for. I appreciated how Linda worked with my busy work schedule to show me this Tahoe via text when pics were not available online, or on their website yet. To top it off, she is so bubbly, high energy, and just wonderful! I loved her honesty and professionalism. She even made sure to find me a pretty bow to put on my Tahoe for the picture! When buying another vehicle, this is where we will come!

Sterling was great throughout the whole process! When showing the car he walked through the outside and explained everything. Opened all the doors and the trunk to show the inside. We haven't bought a vehicle from a dealership in 17 years and to be honest, we were not looking forward to the process of shopping around. Having a pretty good idea of what we wanted but still needing to test drive it, we popped into Checkered Flag Volkswagen on Va Beach Blvd to see what they had. Scott met us in the parking lot and asked if we needed any help. We ended up being there for about 1 1/2 hours, spoke to him about what we were looking for, took a test drive, and had a great time. I just bought a new car from checkered flag and the customer service we received from Desahni was amazing. I wasn’t sure what car I really wanted but I needed a car and desahni figured all of that out for me and I loved the car that he suggested would be best suited for me. It was like he knew exactly what I wanted. He asked several questions to try and get to know me, and my needs, to guide us towards purchasing the perfect car. My salesman Scott Cust was great! He was very patient and kind. Shopping for cars is never a fun experience, especially when the salesmen are pushy, arrogant and take advantage of you. Which has been my experience with other dealerships. The only reason I rate this as 4 stars is because after leaving the dealership, they realized the car I purchased had not gone through service yet so we had to bring it back. It was a little stressful due to the fact the car was needed for a road trip in 2 days. The car was serviced and we got it back on time. Scott was very personable and easily accessible anytime I called for updates even while he was not working. I would recommend him to anyone shopping for a car.

I’m utterly convinced that any other salesman(woman) that I go to in the future will be absolutely disappointing because of the extremely high expectation set by Linda Hummel’s outstanding customer service. One of the qualities about Ms. Linda that makes her so successful at her job is how infectious her laughter and smile are anywhere she decides to roam. My time spent with her was nothing short of a pleasant experience as it should be when buying a car! Not once did I feel pressured into buying something that I wasn’t already searching for and she also went into great detail in the beginning and end of my search about how this process works. I’m at a loss for words as to how to convey how wonderful my experience was at CF VW not just because of Linda but one could argue she has a lot to do with it. I had been bringing my ‘12 Passat to the service department for a year or so before making this purchase and Abby has always been professional and accommodating whether that means putting me in a rental or a loaner car while my car gets worked on or texting me promptly when the work is completed and the car is ready for pickup. She is such a great person. And I was able to reach out to her about the vehicle and what my plans where upon arrival to there wonderful car lot. Showed me the vehicle, test drove it, came back signed the paper work and was out the door. Super smooth transaction. The atmosphere and the people that work there are easy going, no one’s trying to rush you into something that your not prepared to do. And the 3 day return policy (no questions asked) is just the best. Checkered flag Volkswagon is super transparent about everything. And don’t let me forget about (Mike Wood) the general manager, as he also sent a amazing video on the location of the place where to park and where to go upon arrival. They have a selection of add ons that are available but there was zero pressure. Once I decided to buy, Jay facilitated the process without sending me to multiple other offices. Jay coordinated the financing, he coordinated with Kevin for the trade in, he handled the contract, the registration, license plates, everything from his office. I love my GENESIS. My worst experience here was when I purchased my car in Dec. When I was closing the deal the deyailer notice it was chips in the windshields. At that point I should've chosen another Genesis, my 1st mistake i didn't i figured replace the windshields it will be fine. But no, the company that changed my window left the glass over my NEW vechile 2018. Glass everywhere on the hood dashboard, floor, in and under the seat, on top of the car, have pictures. Went I back in got the service person and GM showed them the damage to my seat and tje condition of my car he said to the detailer to vacuum the car out cleaning up a little bit because it couldn't be washed because the window had just been replaced so it had to be left dirty for two weeks so the detailer took and blew the glass off the car and vaccumed it. It was dark so je didn't see the glass under the seat. They told me at that time they would order me a new seat cover and replace the damaged panel up by the window they ordered the panel but they ordered it for the wrong side so I had to wait they claim they order me a new seat cover and clearly they didn't because I got an old seat cover and does not look No Way new I asked for the invoice and they only gave me a couple of copies of two copies of the invoice of what was repaired I guess so that I couldn't see that they did not order me a seat cover is dirty and it's peeling I shouldn't have been through so much of this horror since I purchased is car and Hyundai or Checkered Flag Hyundai have left a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't recommend them to no one after this disaster the car yes but Checkered Flag Hyundai no I'm sorry I just wouldn't do it after I went through what I went through. Clearly clearly you can see that this is not a new seat that this seat cover was painted and put in my car 2018 Hyundai Genesis G80

Outstanding sales and service from the start. I had never been to the dealer before but was already familiar with the string Checkerd Flag name. However I was not familiar with the VW product line. I had dealing with four sales people. Gabby, Sarah, Daniel and another gentleman. All three excellent and knew VW products well. Gabby was my main contact and stayed in close contact and was so sweet. The show room is awesome with vintage Volkswagen cars and other items. The centerpiece is a totally restored 1963 Hippie van. Although I did not purchase from them they did everything right to make me feel comfortable with no pressure haggle free environment. I wanted my son to love their product line more, but at the end it was not for him.

I feel like Sterling is a part of our family now after this experience for example, a few days after i bought the car i had an issue with the automatic start and was stuck in the parking lot I called Sterling and he walked me thru the process and got me on my way! Derek Patten from service is the best - he's friendly, helpful, and consistently provides great service. I recently brought my car in for inspection and wanted to see how much the trade in value of my car was. I was promptly contacted by Ryan from Sales who provided a trade in quote and asked a few questions about what I was looking for. I wanted to make the move to a Suburu and I was sure I would need to go to a different dealership other than VW to find what I was looking for, but I was wrong! I dislike haggling. I thought I would put that out there, before I start. Upon reviewing multiple dealers, calling ones further away, and even out of state, I came to the conclusion that their smart prices are actually great! I got a slightly better deal somewhere else that was way far from here, so with gas and all that it would have ended higher than checkered flag. This is my first new car, and I must say am really impressed with it. Thanks to Linda, the buying experience was great! The best part is that I did not encounter the usual dealer attitude where they try to shove a car down your throat. The dealership is amazing inside and although they are a family owned dealership, their variety of makes and models is there. I also got some great incentives and all that. At the end of the day I was pleased with the experience. And the extended warranty is great! For the duration of my loan I will not have to worry about a thing! (Other than wearables). So if you are looking for a new or used car, and do not like haggling, stop by Checkered Flag and they will take care of you.

As someone who has never bought a car on my own before I was going into the dealership with a little bit of stress as I tried to wrap my head around how the whole process goes and thinking about all the stories you hear about dealerships scamming their customers, especially military personnel. But once I met Linda and talked for a few minutes I could tell I was in good hands. This dealership takes a lot of pride in their transparency and gives the upper hand to the customer before you even walk in. I could not believe the EXCELLENT customer service at this dealership!! I had gone to another dealership just down the road a few weeks ago and could not believe the way I was treated!! I guess it was because I was a female and was judged as not knowing what I was doing or having a clue but I've been buying cars all my life so yeah, I think I know what I'm doing! My husband and I had been to checkered Flag VW at least 3 times before we made our purchase. 4th time was the charm, Linda reached out to me about a few vehicles I had looked at, she told me she wanted me to come to take a look at what she had so we did. The time we had available Linda was busy but we told her we would still look at the lot. We were greeted by Nick who blew me away with his BEYOND EXCELLENT SERVICE! I told him our first interaction was awesome he explained to me he was new which impressed me even more, I told him I working with Linda so he went to talk with her and together they both worked with us to get us in the car that we love!! When Linda was free she came over with Nick and they both did and excellent job of ensuring we didn’t leave with just any WV but with one that had everything that I... I mean my husband and I both loved, they really took their time and showed us options before we made a final decision! We had a minor hickup with the detailing but Nick took care of it with no problem. Nick even picked my car up from my job the next day for it to get detailed and Linda dropped it off to me and made sure to show me all the features!! I was beyond blown away by both of them!! As an assistant manager who works in customer service we definitely NEED more people like Linda and Nick in customer service because they were not all about the sale but servicing our needs!! Way to go Checkered Flag for hiring these two Gems!!!

I had been searching left and right for a specific type of volkswagen when I reached out to Linda at Checkered Flag Volkswagen. I definitely had a ve4ry specific vision of the car I wanted, and I didn't hold back when letting her know via email my desired specifications for the car. Not only was she extremely helpful, but she managed to find the car with EVERY SINGLE one of my specifications (even the "want but not need" specs!!). The day I went to test drive - and eventually buy - the car, Linda was working with someone else, but her colleague Marvin did an amazing job walking me and my dad through everything we needed to know. He answered all of my questions and made the normally stressful car buying experience a seamless one. Linda also stopped by to check on me during the day! I would recommend Checkered Flag VW to absolutely anyone looking to buy. The employees don't work on commission so they're not hounding you to buy, but instead step back and let you make your own decision. Their customer service is also great! I went in specifically to look at the ID4. Linda was very helpful and answered all of my questions or went out of her way to find someone who could answer my more specific questions. She was respectful, not pushy, and actually made the process enjoyable. I was not looking forward to the hassle that comes with looking at a car in a dealership, but there was none of that here. I will come back to Checkered Flag and hopefully Linda when I want to get my next vehicle.

A very refreshing and different experience from every dealer in VA Beach. No waiting, no, “let me ask my manager,” statements and putting you on ice for 30 minutes. Some of the obligated questions about service contracts and extended warranty, but overall Muhammed was very straightforward, patient and professional.
