He was very knowledgeable and tried to make the process as quick and easy for me as possible especially because he understood that I was on a time constraint due to work. He took the time to go over the warranty package options for my vehicle so I could best decide what would work for my needs. I truly appreciated him taking the extra time prior to me driving off with my new car to go over all the buttons and features inside the car so I didn’t leave with any lingering questions. First thing first , if I could give higher rating than 5 stars I would!! We were planning to just come by and shop around before making any decision but we ended up got new car out of expectation. Our family just got our new used mini van and couldn't be happier with the vehicle and with Jeffery our sales person. Jeffery made us feel valued as a customer even after we at first didn't purchase a vehicle on our first visit. On our first visit he even helped us to find another vehicle we wanted to look at that was not at this checkered flag location. We ended up coming back a week later to buy the mini van we first looked at. Jeffery was straight to the point which is a nice touch compared to other car dealerships. Also we showed up kind of late in the day and paperwork and questions took a bit of time and Jeffery didn't rush us to get through it to leave a closing time. Jeffery talked to us and answered all our questions and even got us a loan with a better interest rate with another bank we were not initially going to use. We would defiantly use this dealership and Jeffery again to purchase another vehicle in the future. I actually had a good experience with this dealership and do plan on buying from them again, I hate being hassled at car dealerships and I was never hassled at this dealership. We did have an issue at the end. My husband and I put a $500 deposit on a vehicle and was told we had the option to add the $500 deposit to the payment of the vehicle or have it refunded to us. When we went to pick up the vehicle we were again told by another sales person the same thing. We did not want the $500 added to the vehicle we wanted the refund. The person who was helping us with the paperwork said it wasn’t a problem and it would be processed back that evening. Long story short the money was not refunded and Tom has been researching the issue and working with my husband to resolve the issue to provide the refund.

I hadn't purchased a new vehicle since 2005! Needless to say I didn't know what to expect. Lucky for me I had Brandon Hill as my salesperson. It took almost a year for me to make the final decision to purchase a new car. During that time, Brandon was so patient and he never once hassled me about buying a car. Ask for Martene or Robert! I drove 6.5 hours one way to buy a car from this dealership and I would do it again. Zero haggling, zero games, zero B.S. Here's the car, here's the key, here's the price. Test drive it, tell us if you like it. They really made it that simple. This was a used car; not new, not a certified preowned. Martene and Robert told me the car was essentially new and had no issues. I drove it all the way home and took it to my regular mechanic for a once over. You know what he found? Nothing. He said the car was perfect. This was by far the most honest, up front dealership experience I have ever had. I would be happy to make the drive again to buy my next car and I cannot recommend this place enough!

I bought my Palisade from Checkered Flag back in June, and I have loved it so far. I initially wanted a Telluride, but the dealerships I went to had market adjusted markups for $5,000 and up. Checkered Flag is one of the few places in this market that will charge MSRP with no market markup. Martene helped me with my car and she was AWESOME! I had an issue with my new Palisade (the mirrors wouldn’t move when I hit the button) and Martene would text me every few days to check up on it until it was fixed. The whole car buying experience with her was quick and painless and I definitely recommend going to visit her if you are looking for a new/used car!

All I can say is WOW, JUST WOW! These folks "get it" where customer service and doing it right the first time is concerned! I've dealt with Sean Pierce, Heather Menefee, and Raheem (service manager) and they bent over backwards to take care of me, my car and returned it washed, clean AND WORKING AS IT SHOULD! After 7 very miserable visits to another dealership who never DID get it right, these folks got it right THE FIRST DAY AND were kind, considerate, thoughtful - on it!! The sales staff at this dealership were great. They were the only Hyundai dealership that didn't ask for money down and offered my Tucson Hybrid for the MSRP in the Spring of 2022, while every other dealership wanted thousands over MSRP and asked me for a down payment for a vehicle that had a long wait time and no expected delivery date due to the high demand. The only downside to working with this dealership is currently they have a very slow service department. I had to schedule my first oil change 2 months out. They do offer free oil changes and tire rotation for the life of the vehicle,

Demario Street was great the first time he helped with the purchase. As he was busy this time around, I was with Brandon Hill for the duration of the vehicle purchase. Price was fair, process was sort of inconsistent. Time constraints felt real towards the end. This could be due to business closing time approaching as we did come in late. Some information was lost between specialist and "management". Product information wasn't passed on after finalizing deal, again more than likely due to business closing time. Overall, clean dealership, friendly staff, just make sure to double check all numbers! As luck would have it, due to coming in late to purchase the vehicle, the APR changed for the better so we had to come back to the dealership a couple days later due to re-signing the paperwork. I highly recommend working with Demario, Tommy and Brandon as they will make sure you are taken care of!

From the time I walked up to the entrance and Bobby Frison greeted me to the time I left the dealership with my new car and even getting home, my experience has been amazing. While thinking of my options, there was a Tucsan in the lot so we decided to take a look inside to see if I would really like the car. Guess what guys?! He explained it didn’t have everything I wanted such as (sunroof or hybrid) but it still has so many other features. He took the time to go through things with us and his staff also came over to assist and explain package offers to us in detail. Although Bobby says he has only been there 3 months, the way he worked with us and handled everything made it seem like he’s been there for years. Everyone was so nice and helpful and had great things to say about Bobby. We left Saturday with our new car and since then Bobby has still been checking in and also giving me tips so I can learn the new features with my new car! And …… he even helped get my car insurance lowered to half the price I was paying. Seriously, Checkered Flag, you guys have a great worker on your hands. had issue with my 2013 hybrid driver’s window stuttering upon attempts to close. they called me for pickup, and before I left the lot the issue was clearly not fixed. I turned around and brought it right back. They had to order parts, took a day or two, but issue was ultimately fixed. Had asked them to paint the mirrors where paint was flaking off. They reported their tech who did this was only present one day a week. I left vehicle with them another day for their paint tech to assess it, only to be told it was too much work to do at their facility-REALLY? MIRRORS ONLY??? People were friendly, and listened to my concerns. Biggest beef with this place is they NEVER have a rental available-even when you book it in advance and have a reservation number. Communication was good-reached out via text to get approval when repair job was more extensive than initially thought, when vehicle ready for pick up.

I was super happy with my 2022 Hyundai Elantra (I still am, in fact), however, the customer service is completely unresponsive. First of all, I’ve signed up for remote services a month ago and it said it would take 24 hours to set up but still doesn’t work for me. I reached out to my agent 3 times now in regards to this and never heard back from him. I feel like the fact that he is a sales and not a customer service agent still doesn’t make up for the fact that a person completely ignored my texts. Moreover, my windshield got a crack just out of nowhere and when I tried to contact them about it (not blaming anyone or trying to get it fixed for free), I felt left alone with this with no help being provided.

In this crazy world, car buying has gotten even crazier. I’m a cancer patient and my energy needs to be focused on my health not if I will be able to find a car and how many hoops I’ll jump through to get it. By luck I located my bucket list SUV at Checkered Flag Hyundai World/ Genesis of Virginia Beech. I called and asked for Genesis sales and was introduced to Paul Hamm, salesman. I asked about the GV70 that I wanted, he confirmed it was available, price and I bought a car! Paul took pictures and video of the car, walked me through the deposit and buying process. It was a Saturday so it’s difficult to do banking. Did I mention I’m in Avon Lake Ohio? Yes a phone sale counting on this to work all by computer, phone, my bank and Paul. I was introduced to Erica in the business office to confirm what was needed. Paul asked for different documents that the office team needed and I provided. I must compliment and thank Paul Hamm and all of the folks that worked on my deal. It made this process so much easier than I ever expected. I highly recommend this dealership and if possible I strongly suggest asking for Paul.

Hall tried to make me buy a car I flat out didn’t want & when I told them I didn’t want it they brought papers for me to lease & then “Bring it back “! After that they brought a car out that they just received. It was filled with dog hair, dirty & all. They did this & it’s a Pandemic! Very unsanitary!!! If you want a real chill, down to earth salesman who knows his products I highly recommend Brandon Holley. I'm thankful for the sales team who was more helpful to me than ANYONE in the service department while my vehicle was with them for 3 weeks. I constantly was given the run around about when my car would be ready and had to call every time to get any update on my car. I showed up twice to the dealership on days it was said to be ready, only to be sent home with yet another pick up date. After approving for my vehicle to be taken by the technician to get the necessary miles for the repair check, my car was returned to me nearly empty on gas and what was claimed to be cleaned and vacuumed out was not evident. I'm not an easy person to deal with while trying to buy a car. Having an automotive background, to include used car sales at one point, I know most of the tricks and bs dealers try to pull and automatically come in defensive. However, I am extremely pleased to say, that was not necessary here. I was looking for a no bs deal and that was what I got here. Anthony, Brandon and Joey all provided top notch customer service. Aside from a mix up in communication for the arrival of my new car, everything, from beginning to end, was pretty painless and went off without a hitch. I was also pleasantly surprised that they matched a Carmax offer on my trade in, with no questions asked and no arguing. I feel I received a fair deal all the way around and will definitely be going to this dealership in the future. Thank you for putting many months of stress of finding and purchasing the particular car I was looking for, to rest. No haggling required at this place. The previously owned cars are clean and perfect. Warranties on used cars are available with extended ones if desired. Story time! I bought a 2013 Sonata at Priority Hyundai in Chesapeake VA, they promised me all these lifetime bumper to bumper warranties, I even paid $2500 for extra coverage of my electronics etc! Well, after half a dozen TERRIBLE experiences with priority, most recently I needed an inspection and my car diagnosed….again (I’ve brought it in 3 times for engine problems, was told there was nothing wrong….HA!) well they quoted me 3 MONTHS to get a dang inspection and NO loaner car OR rental car discounts!!!!! I was furious, so I did some research and called a few places. Little did I know, I was about to start a lifetime, stress free relationship with a car dealership (doesn’t sound right huh? I thought all car dealers just wanted money?!?!) I called Checkered Flag Hyundai, I spoke with this amazing gentleman Sean. He said I could drop my vehicle off for a diagnostic test and inspection estimate time of a week. Well, this is my only vehicle, stress hits, they say “woahhhh Mr. Randall, we are not the other guys, we will take care of you!” So that is what they did. I received a brand new Corolla loaner car for just $28 a day!! This is where things get real, a few days later I get a call from Sean saying I needed a new engine. Apparently Priority did not see my engine has been completely toast for god knows how long!! Sean says “don’t worry, I will see what I can do”. 1 hour later I get a call from Sean, telling me that they will replace my motor for FREE and not only that, they will cover the cost of my loaner car for the entirety of the time it takes to replace said motor!! This is the best experience I have ever had with a car dealer, I will NEVER go anywhere else or recommend anyone else. RIP Priority Hyundai, I have a new car family. Shout out to Sean over in service, he is the best! Also to all of the checkered flag family that has made this experience pain and stress free and me their top priority (ha..see what I did there? Don’t believe a company name all the time!) thank you from the bottom of my heart, you just retained a life long member of the Checkered Flag family! SALES SIDE REVIEW: Recently purchased new vehicle from here. I appreciated their negotiation free approach to buying the car. Overall, the process seemed to be much faster than competitors, but whether or not I got the "Best Deal" has yet to be seen. One thing to be VERY AWARE of is that where the price of the vehicle has no wiggle room the cost and terms of the service packages added on after are VERY NEGOTIABLE. Unfortunately I was not aware of this until after I made my purchase when I spoke with friends/family who have bought with this dealership in the past. So feel a bit mislead there, but I won't let it spoil my new car. NOTES TO MANAGEMENT: A few notes from a customer's prospective, even if not working on commission continue to show customers they matter by offering beverages, over explain coverage/warranties, greet warmly and don't seem put out that your customer didn't have an appointment. One of the first things I was asked if I had an appointment, and that where it wasn't required it was suggested because "We do things differently here." One of the first questions I asked was if it was too much of problem I could go elsewhere. Only get one chance for a first impression on a 5-6 figure transaction, don't make it seem like you are put out by a walk-in. This is industry standard. SERVICE SIDE: Been here several times over the years for maintenance on my old vehicle. Overall the Service Department is extremely straightforward and seem to have you interest in mind when suggesting repairs.

I stopped by at 430 with a slow leak in my tire hoping for a quick fix but not expecting it. I was told to bring it back the next day and maybe even leave it since it is a holiday weekend. TOTALLY understood and was thinking of a way to make that happen. The service rep was going to fill the tire since it was registering 27 lbs. As he prepared to do so, he heard the tire leaking. He was concerned about me driving on it so went into the service bays to see if there was a tech who could quickly plug the leak. There was....I was in and out in 30 minutes, and even though it was last minute, my problem was solved!

Dropped my car off for their multiple point inspection, because at a previous shop they told me that I would need new struts/shock. They did the inspections, found that they are okay but that something else was wrong. Kindly advised me what should be addressed first, and what could wait. Provided me with their car, because the repair would take 2 days. I had to fill out some forms, I only had to wait for the inspection. Service was great, really, they are pricey, I'll give them that, but hey, they are licensed Hyundai dealership. If you don't want a hassle, don't want someone trying to hustle you, want serious service that is customer oriented, then this is the place for you. Really good, great service. I dealt with Nelson and he was great, great customer service. Amazing!
