The seamless process from CarLotz on Bearss Ave. Tampa, Florida location was awesome. I knew the car I wanted based on viewing their online inventory beforehand. My 2012 Ford Focus was there on site as expected. I met a wonderful gentleman, George Gray, who took care of me. He made it clear he was not a "salesman" in the way he wanted me to buy the "upgraded" car, etc., but he rather wanted to inform me on everything on the car I wanted was up to CarLotz standards and my standards as well. It was so nice to meet someone who was in my best interests when buying a car. That was a first for me. I felt no pressure from George; he was genuine from the start to finish. Others from the CarLotz team were just as friendly when it came down to the paperwork. No haggle, no hustle; we got the extras we wanted and no b.s. from the other workers trying to upgrade us, too. I am recommending this place if you want to buy a car with no pressure salespeople and an experience that is much faster than going to a dealership where they just want to upgrade you, throw on extras you don't need, and cause you to waste your money for their growth and profit (Brandon Honda in my experience). Thank you, again, CarLotz, and especially George, for making a car buying experience as friendly, professional, and pressure-free place to buy a car. Excellent experience buying a car here. I worked in the used auto industry for many years and am highly critical of the car-buying experience in general. CarLotz let me purchase the vehicle on my terms and made it very easy. George was laid back and low-pressure, but also professional, responsive, and answered all of my questions. The pricing was very aggressive and no-haggle (which I tried). I enjoy the negotiating process, but I respect companies that offer their best price upfront. Vehicle warranty cost was less than my credit union. Dealer fee of $699 was transparent, average amount for independent dealers, less than franchise dealers. No other fluff or games with pricing. The car (2018 BMW 5 series) was in great shape. I had an appointment and the car was waiting for me when I got there. Finalized all of the paperwork online while at work, went to pick up the car after work and it was ready to go. No waiting for hours for delivery. Thanks George and CarLotz!

I came in earlier this week to test drive a vehicle that I had been researching for a bit. Murat was super helpful and not pressuring me to purchase. I waited a week or so to make a decision and Murat responded to all of my questions in a timely fashion. they were very helpful and VERY patient while we stayed there getting a car. we had issues with the insurance companies and they suggested someone who was able to help us and give us a great price. we were there for about 7 HOURS (not their fault at all. 100% us) and they were helpful and patient throughout. they let us test drive it as much as we wanted to and even take it to a mechanic to get it checked by them. after being there all day, we were leaving and we lived about 2 or so hours away and my phone was about to die and one of the guys gave me a charger from inside and let me keep it so it wouldn’t die on the way back. so so helpful. We were looking for cars and found one that we were interested in at CarLotz and decided to stop by. This location is right off 275 North. There were no salesman outside so you have to go in and talk to someone. We spoke with a sales rep and he gave us the keys to test drive which was nice so you can get an unbiased review of the car and it's driving by yourself. Unfortunately, the car reeked of cigarette smell. The sales rep offered to ozone it for us to get rid of the smell but it would an hour. We went back home and waited and didn't hear from them until the next day. I really wish they did the ozone thing before they put the car on the lot. I'm glad they didn't because I have a 5 month old that I don't want to get the lingering affects of the second or third hand smoke.

This has been my best car buying experience by far. Came here for a 2014 RAV4 and they had no problem showing the exact car I came for and not something out of my price range. I recently purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento from CarLotz! The process was smooth and friendly. It is a consignment car store. The advantage for me was understanding the business model and its benefit to the customer. They seem to ensure the quality newer used cars they sell for independent sellers are in good shape, otherwise they won't put on lot. Jeremy was my rep and he was knowledgeable, not pushy, and really helped me close the deal. They allow you to take vehicle to your mechanic with no problems. Again shout out to Jeremy at CarLotz! Usually I wait a little bit before doing a review just to make sure the car I bought is good and doesn’t just break down but I bought a car from Carlotz and I just to have to say I’m impressed with how they operate. If I could give SIX STARS I would! First off, I need to acknowledge two gentlemen in particular George Gray our salesman, and Ron Savage, one of the managers. My wife and I decided to purchase her 2019 Toyota Tacoma at the lease end on March 1st. The current used car market made possible to resell the vehicle and make a little profit. We chose CarLotz as the dealership to sell to based on their fair offer, and the friendly no-hassle approach they exhibited when we met them. Unfortunately for us, the Toyota dealership we dealt with mishandled the sale, sat on the paperwork for two plus weeks, and routinely lied and shifted blame to others when confronted with the insane delays we were dealing with. Typical of our dealings with such places in the past. This left us in a tough spot, not able to sell the truck (since no paperwork was processed) and not having a place to keep it. George allowed us to keep the vehicle on their lot (where it was safe) when we all assumed it would only be a couple of days. That ultimately became nearly three weeks. As we communicated the issues we were having, everyone at CarLotz insisted it was no burden to keep the truck on site, and they were ready to buy it when the sale was finalized. Today, April 9th, we were finally able to get the deal done. After less than 45 minutes, all the paperwork was processed, and we left with our check (for the difference between our purchase price and the CarLotz offer). At every interaction, every single person at CarLotz was friendly, professional, and accommodating. They were honest, followed through and followed up exactly as they said they would. If you need to buy, sell, or even consign a vehicle, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND CarLotz in Tampa. We’ve never had a better experience with any dealer.

I was helped by salesman Glenn E. in Tampa, FL, at the Bearss and Nebraska location. This is the fourth car I’ve purchased and by far the quickest and best experience I’ve had with any dealership. Not only did Glenn care about what type of car to put me in, but cared about my financial situation and the fact that I’m having my third child soon. He wanted to make sure I was protected and made sure I left fully covered before leaving the lot and also helped me to stay within the budget I came with. Options presented quickly and fairly. Process was simple and mostly painless. That is pretty good for a car dealership! I chose the option of having them purchase my car outright. We discussed what needed to be repaired on my car, and we came to a reasonable agreement. It’s not often I leave a car dealer and don’t feel cheated. This was not too bad. I would sell them another car, for sure.

I doubt many people enjoy buying cars. And the thought of buying a used car can be daunting. I thought I'd share a great experience I had yesterday at CarLotz here in Tampa. Matt Araujo went above an beyond to make the entire experience easy. It was actually pleasant. I have not yet bought a car there, but very well may. Matt acted more like a well informed consultant than a sales person, answering the multitude of questions I had about specific cars, makes, and models . We test drove a few and he educated me on a few others. Not the least bit aggressive or pushy. Their consignment sales model and prices seem pretty reasonable. I can't speak to the finance/purchase aspects of the experience at CarLotz, and of course YMMV depending on who you work with there, but my experience with Matt was as good as it gets.

We went there and spent several hours looking at many cars. There were many cars we liked. There was no pressure to buy. When we found a car or was perfect accept for a small concern. Since we wondered about the problem they graciously had the mechanic lift the car and look at the car. They even let us speak with him to talk about what may be wrong. They gave us all the info we needed on each car, carfax and service history. We test drove several cars and even had great Keurig made coffee. They had many cars to choose from with no major problems. Basically, I plan to go back until I find the car, I'm happy with. I loved my salesperson, he was honest. In the end he took down a list of things we wanted and with new cars soon to arrive and my not wanting to rush, he didn't try to convince me to buy something I didn't absolutely love. Instead he will let me know when something I like arrives. I normally hate car lots so anyone who knows me, knows my reviews are only this good, if I'm impressed.

This was by far the best service i have received at a dealership. I was able to view the cars without several people jumping on me like a vulture asking me if i need help over and over again. All in all, the buying process was smooth and the price was fair. Reps are laid back and helpful. Vehicle had no major issues. DO NOT buy the extended warranty. I purchased the top tier one that covered everything. I’ve had to use it once and it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. They send out inspectors with the automotive competency of a 6 year old. My vehicle has been at a Ford dealership for 2 weeks because the inspector told them to replace an oil pan to fix the transmission leak. (You read that correctly). They’ve hung up on us twice now. I’ve had a lot of vehicle warranties, but this one is atrocious.

This was a very good car shopping experience . Pre negotiated the deal. Drove 2 hours and it went fast and smooth . They did have 2 extra fees on there for about $70 total , no big deal . Took the car on a long test drive including freeway which they were supportive of . One thing that surprised me was they give you a one month , 1,000 miles warranty . This takes out the stress of worrying about missing a problem with the car . Salesman was great with good follow up . Highly recommend .

The team at Carlotz was great, my used car is perfect, and I think they are a good place to check. I would still consider that the car owner could be hiding something wrong with the vehicle, with the added risk of not speaking to the original owner directly, and being able to look them in the eye when asking about mechanical issues. But in my case everything went perfectly, and the Carlotz staff was nearly perfect. One suggestion: staff may want to get used to plugging in electric vehicles in the future, so potential buyers have more range to get home. Overall a pleasant buying experience.

Overall, a satisfying experience. Called the morning earlier to make sure the vehicle was still at the lot and explained to the staff I will be on the way to take a look. They were able to hold the vehicle on the lot for a short period until I got there. (Always do this before getting to the lot) Once there, I was greeted by the manger and Tyreek (Ty) Carter. The vehicle I wanted was onsite and ready to be tested. I was able to take the vehicle on a test run and was what I expected. Upon the return, there were a few safety concerns that needed to be addressed in order for purchase. This would make or break the deal but to my surprise, all of the safety concerns I pointed out was going to be addressed. Amazing that this dealership will literally go above and beyond to make sure a customer is truly satisfied before the purchase of the vehicle. Ty was very attentive in understanding the concerns and issues that the vehicle had. Now they were not over the top concerns but items that needed to be addressed. After voicing my concerns of what I would like to see replaced/updated in the vehicle the paperwork then began. This process was not as long as I thought is was going to be. It me longer to test the vehicle, inspect the concerns, and share my thought what need to be completed before purchase. Once the paperwork was completed as Ty was able to walk me though the process I returned home. As the safety items were being addressed, Carlotz kept the vehicle for about a week. They were nice enough to then drive the vehicle to my home, which to me was over the top. Ty kept in constant contact from start to finish and after to make sure the vehicle I purchased was the one I drove on the lot and safety items addressed. My experience with Carlotz has been an easy, straight forward, understandable, and stress free. I just want to say thank you to Tyreek for being a very attentive associate and hope many more customers come see you as you are a very soft spoken and understanding person. This is the type of customer service I look for and you presented it very well. They charge a fee of 699.00 to you for every car but overall it was an ok experience. Our day started by going to Evo motors in Seffner. They have a lot of cars but you're shopping in the heat. Then when you pick a car to test drive you get the VIN number and a person brings your car to test drive. I didn't feel led to buy a car there so on our way home I suggested we go to the place on Bearss and Nebraska. I had found them on the internet days before. The experience was the most simple and easiest I've ever had at car shopping. You sit in front of a computer and select the car/s to test drive. James was our no pressure sales person. First off the people here dont work on commision so that would explain why immediately I felt at rest and had a absolutely zero pressure feeling while I roamed the parking lot. After a couple of minutes I was approached by a by a car lotz "liaison" very kind saleswoman who offered to help me find a vehicle that was within my price range. First feeling inside was a absolute "zero" pressure feeling and the non commission pushy sales people did not exsist. Im happy to say I purchased a almost new vehicle (after having the same car for 19 years) which had the mileage and price I wanted and the price negotiations were painless and quick. I would highly recommend Carlotz as the first and only place to buy a Car and I will definitely be purchasing my 2nd car (because I need another one) from them and I know I will have the same non pressure relaxed feeling experience I had the first time. Car shopping can be a long drawn out process even when you find the right car at the right price. Well, we found a great car a a great price on Cargurus, but I’ve done that before only to find out they didn’t mention all their added fees (dealer fee, documentation fee, prep fee....). These fees often push the vehicle well out of the price range you searched in and, if it’s not mentioned in the description, that to me is “baiting and switching” which is illegal. Carlotz, on the other hand, was upfront on their ad. They state that there is a $599 dealer fee (which is lower than most) plus tax/tag/title. I show up at Carlotz at 10:30am and tell them what car I’m interested in. He asks for a copy of my license and hands me the keys. My son and I test drive the car, come back to the lot, and he asked how we liked it. “Everything was great, we’ll take it.” At this point it’s about 11ish. I give him my insurance card, he draws up paperwork for tax/tag/title for the DMV, we pay, we sign and we are driving to lunch by noon! I’ve never had a better car buying experience. There wasn’t any pressure just service. Oh yeah, by the way... there was two hidden things not in the ad. 1,000 miles and one month Powertrain warranty (not much but unexpected) and a very nice touch of taking it to the gas station and filling it up for our trip back home. Thank you Carlotz!

I started with a general used car search in Google's search engine with a dollar range for a used car for my son. Several cars with low mileage came up from Carlotz. I looked at the images and information online. The website was easy to navigate and filter. After narrowing our search to 7 vehicles ranging from hatchbacks, Midsize SUVs, hybrids, a Jeep Wrangler, and a small truck. My husband and I visited Carlotz to checkout the condition of each vehicle . We were pleasantly surprised at how well each vehicle was maintained inside and out. We test drove each vehicle and James, our sales person, was so patient with us. We went several times before taking our son to Carlotz to narrow the selection to 5 or 6 contender. Our son narrowed it to two or three vehicles. We looked at the Carfax which was provided online for free, researched insurance and made our final selection. Although there is very little wiggle room for negotiations James was able to get the owner of the vehicle to knock off a few hundred dollars. When we finally went to purchase the car we were in and out within the hour. I won't buy another used car without Carlotz! Thanks James for your patience and expertise. What a great car buying experience.

He was very down to earth and relatable because in the past I have been scammed on a used car, and he had as well. I was completely blown away walking into this store. Not only is it very clean and fresh looking, but the people there were so kind and easy to work with. I could tell I was not in Kansas any more. Seriously, this place is all about being upfront and the game playing was left to the guys down the street. They seem to be focused on changing the way people buy and sell vehicles. They had a very interesting consignment setup that I had never seen before. I am not ready to look at doing that now, but I was so impressed with everything else that I will definitely give them a HOLLA BACK when it is time. Teresa, their manager, came up to greet me and welcome me as soon as I walked in and I could tell from her big smile and happy face that this was going to be a positive experience. I also enjoyed working with Carlos and Mike and got the same good feeling from both of them. I am not quite ready to buy from them yet, but did not want to let a day go by without spreading the word to my fellow yelpers about a TERRIFIC new place to buy (and sell) your next vehicle. I was all ready prepared for my finance so that made the paperwork alot easier. at first the numbers where high for me I told them where I wanted to be and Jeremy and his boss,Blake, crunched the numbers and put me right where I was comfortable.The store and the staff make you comfortable from the start and to the finish. you will not find any pushy salesmen or women here just tell them your goal and they will make sure that they get you there if possible. I say if possible because if your credit is not good enough for them to work with dont be upset at them they sell cars not produce miracles you wanna see miracles go to church.
