My buying experience could not have been better at Volvo Seattle. Ozzy and Michael were super helpful in getting me into my new XC60. I am very pleased with their informative and low pressure approach. I don’t like feeling harassed to buy when I’m looking to make a purchase, and they definitely were not overbearing or pushy.
I was able to easily get all of the information I requested very quickly with their help. When I showed up for delivery, Ozzy patiently showed me all the details of how to setup my new vehicle. I would recommend anyone interested in a Volvo to speak with this dealer.

It was a little rocky at first, but Tom S. did work with the company to get me a loaner car to use while I had to wait for delivery of my new 2023 XC90. My earlier vehicle order had not been handled properly. Overall, when my car finally arrived in late November I felt better than I did back in July. The sales department did redeem themselves in the end! I will continue to use the service department (they are great), and I would entertain buying an another car from this dealership.

I have had my first Volvo for 3 years now and never had issues with service. You have to book 2-3 weeks ahead if you want to pick an exact date/time, but otherwise service is seamless, drop-off/pickup is usually quick, communication by text has always been on point. I wish they would wash your car instead of giving you a brown bear voucher but I understand that may have become a little beyond what is most important, which is safety and proper maintenance.

It was nice. Wasn’t charged for a battery test which would have been $165. Was an ethically iffy charge since I told them I had the battery tested and it was good. They reset warning system on warranty which was my only problem so they did the ethical thing and didn’t charge for checking the battery.

I've mostly interacted with the service department. They're fine once you get their attention. They're the only Volvo dealer left in Seattle, so they're not worried you might go somewhere else for warranty work.
It consistently takes weeks to get an appointment. When you do get there, at the appointed time, there's nobody ready to talk to you. I've waited as much as a half hour past my appointment time to talk to somebody.
When they do work on your car, they don't seem to look for other problems. At the moment, I'm taking mine back to them for the third time in two months. I certainly don't want them to do unauthorized work on my car, but I would like them to give a once-over and call me so that I have the choice of getting it all done once rather than going back to them over and over, particularly given that bringing the car in is a hassle.

I cannot put into words how fantastic of an experience I had with Ozzy today. He was such a genuine guy, made the buying process a breeze. I went to him a few weeks back with what I was after and he kept me in mind, made buying so smooth and even was accommodating with my 2 and 5 year old in tow (which was hectic at best). Bought a used car from them, 4 months later and still haven't found any major defects or problems. The experience was pleasant and I didn't get pressured into buying anything unnecessary.
4/5 stars because it turned out the car was heavily smoked out, I just didn't recognize the smell initially myself as i'm not a smoker. So bit disappointing they didn't bother trying to get rid of the smell or at least stating that its there. But i'll take that over hidden mechanical problems!

We have had some poor experiences in the past with dealerships/vehicle purchasing - we definitely came in with our guard up, but can honestly say we left with our faith restored. I would strongly recommend Austin to anyone interested in these amazing vehicles. We never felt pressured at any point and most importantly we felt valued and that we were treated fairly. Volvo Cars Seattle has the best service department. We were beginning a road trip and had all the warning lights in our Volvo V60 come on. I phoned other dealers on our route but ended up coming home because they were the only ones who treated the issue seriously. Within 20 minutes of being at the dealership we were packed into a loaner and they started working through the problems on our car.
I really appreciate the service from Bryan, Navid, and Adam. They and the mechanics took time to thoroughly address the issues and finally found a problem that many mechanics might have missed. You can bet you will receive great communication, friendly service, and know that the right work has been done. At the end of my car being serviced I had questions and Joe the Service Manager called me right away and set my mind at ease. Thanks again!

I had the most amazing experience with Chris at the Seattle Volvo Dealership. This is my 4th Volvo and he did a great job helping me with the my purchase. When it was time for us to pick up the XC90, he spent nearly an hour with my wife to get her familiar with the car set up. He was honest, straightforward and no pressure ... clearly very relationship focused. Tom. the general manager here was terrific ... there was some hiccups in the transaction, but he made everything right. Honestly, I was expecting the dealership to try to push some of mistakes on me. The exact opposite happened; they owned the hiccup and adjusted things on their end to make sure I was taken care of. It was not the experience than what I typically am used to for a car dealership. Also very clear on when work / parts replacement is recommended, but not critical at that time, without pushing the work to be done immediately. Very technically competent and pleasant service counter staff. Duration to complete work also in line with the estimated duration. Estimated costs also close to actual. Well coordinated operation!

Wow, what an awesome service experience. I didn’t buy my Volvo at this location but brought in for a host of items to be corrected shortly after purchase. First thing my advisor Navid said when I mentioned it was my first time was, “welcome, glad you’re here”.
My check in was so smooth with the tablet technology implemented at this dealer. Advisor took time to answer my questions and make sure he understood concerns. He followed up as promised with plenty of detail on work performed and results (why is this such a pain point for other dealers?). I’ve been getting work done on my Volvos here for years, and they’ve always been great. Case in point, this last tune-up they reminded me that I’m ahead of the maintenance schedule (my XC90 has super low mileage), and they recommended only a few services so as not to duplicate work that didn’t need to be done. That probably saved me $1,000. Also, they’re always very professional and responsive. Service department is highly recommended.

Sales person was alright, not super personable or helpful. I used the same argument he did in promoting a new car over the slightly used car I was interested (which was - it’s so close to the price of a new car, why not buy new, and besides financing rates are lower on new than used cars) to try to obtain a discount. I asked the dealership to split the tax. They offered to split the split in response to my request. Sales person not there when I came in to transact. Person who coordinated could not look me in the eye when I asked if that’s the best they could do on price. Almost no people skills. The young woman who got the car ready and initiated the transaction was competent, as was the transactor. All in all I dealt with 4 people to buy this car.

Very professional and friendly dealership. We drove down from Bellingham to trade in our lease for a new lease (xc60). Dani was our sales lead through the process. She made sure all paperwork and the car was ready when we arrived (it was a ice slippery drive down from Whatcom County with all the recent snow storms). She was fast, thoughtful and genuine. We have been through 3 Volvo dealerships now with a new car. King Volvo Bellingham (which is no longer around in Bellingham), Sandburg Volvo and now Volvo Cars of Seattle. The team at the Volvo Seattle Service Center was wonderful! They were very efficient and warm. They had a loaner car ready to go without any wait and were very understanding that it took a bit of extra time to install a baby and toddler car seat in the loaner car and transfer all the necessities (stroller, bags, window covers etc). I received text updates from the service team about the status of the work being done and when it was determined that a part needed to be ordered and the work authorized through our extended warranty. The work was done late in the afternoon but they were totally understanding about not going across town at rush hour with a baby and toddler to pick up our car and return the loaner and instead we’re fine with me doing it the next morning after dropping my toddler off at preschool. Again the drop off was very efficient and easy and our car was washed off on the outside. Now we just need to get the inside cleaned 🤣🤣. All around great service and great people.

Loaner vehicle experience was a pleasure, receiving it, to the drive familiarity... it didn't hurt that it was the same model as our car being serviced.
Pick up was a breeze. Once again, my questions were answered thoughtfully, realistically and by people who were comfortable with minute mechanical the details of XC60 hybrid. Enhancing my pick-up process was having a service tech in the reception area to go over exactly how and where the cabin air filter is accessed. We are never too old to learn and the whole service crew are great educators.
People who particularly made a difference for me in this service were Navid and Bryan (familiar faces for several years now at this location.)

Great experience leasing my first car and first Volvo! Came in on a busy Saturday, test drove the car and talked numbers. I liked that I wasn’t pressured at all. Did my research over night and it truly got an amazing deal. Came by the next day, car was ready and paper work took about an hour. Alyssa, Luke and the rest of the staff were great and very nice.

OK service. Convenient loaner cars. Last visit my 2020 V90 got a door ding in their care. Was told I'd get a call the following week. No call. It's been months now. While the door ding only cost $65 to have fixed it's the not following up and following through that gets the 3 stars.

I drive 60 miles to have my car serviced at Volvo of Seattle. I’ve received fantastic customer service from Navid. After having my XC60 serviced for regular maintenance multiple times over the last few years I recently had an issue, they took care of the problem quickly with great communication and gave me a brand new loaner to use while the problem was being solved. Customer service and honest communication goes along way with me and they are the only dealership my family and I will take our Volvo’s to be serviced.

Overall, my service experience was great. The shuttle driver was very friendly and was able to navigate the Seahawk victory parade traffic. My car was running great when I picked it up and they took care of all the items I listed as concerns. My Volvo is still under full warranty, so trips to the dealership are still 'painless' when it comes to my checkbook. I am reserving the right to award 5 stars until I can associate the service to value ratio at Bob Byers. Until then, I highly recommend their service department, but I have to admit, I do miss the Seattle location. :)

Scott Fausset and the Service dept at the dealership were absolutely AMAZING! Our car had been having issues with the battery and wouldn't start, so we took the car to the dealership. We worked with Peyman to order our first Volvo. He was great to work with, took the time to review all the different details and specific features available. He spent about 45 minutes walking us through them and is available at anytime for questions. We felt confident in our choice of an XC40 T5 R-Design with pretty accurate delivery dates, in fact ours arrived about 3 weeks sooner than originally quoted. We are thrilled with our purchase.
We had originally intended to look into the overseas delivery program, but covid has thrown a wrench in that plan. Several of the sales people there have taken the trip to Sweden and spoke highly of the experience. Even though it wasn't in the cards for us this time, I would highly recommend talking to someone there about it if you are planning on purchasing a new volvo.

Very positive experience from taking the car out for a test drive to buying my XC 60 at this dealership. It has a small, homely feel. No pressure. Matt Berry was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. He even followed up after we purchased the car to make sure that everything was fine. Not a great experience buying a new car. I knew the discounts I was eligible for. First offer was a chump offer. Second was closer to the discounts but poor trade-in value. Third offer finally got there. Then had to wait for about an hour for them to get standard paperwork done, with nobody checking in. Finally, they tried to sell way overpriced ($10K at Bronze to $20K at Platinum) maintenance programs. Basically, the Chevy dealer treatment (although even at a Chevy dealer, I never had to wait).

I really enjoy having my Volvo V50 cared for by Ravenna Motors. I was greeted cheerfully and immediately by the Service Dept. The shuttle in to Seattle is always a pleasant experience. The gentleman always finds the quickest ways to downtown.
Then I got a call saying the car was all finished and the price was way under what I thought it would be. When I didn't appear right away for the shuttle back from the Sheraton the driver called me. How nice was that! Not just drive off without me.

Of all the sales staff at Volvo it was the internet salesman Peter who ended up to be my hero and saved the day. It’s such a long story so I’ll keep to important points. I lost my key. Ordered new key. The service department went to program new key when we found out ignition column needed replaced, a 700. Part. Fast forward about two months. Had car towed back to dealership to get ignition fixed and key programmed. Got a call car was done come and get it. Oh the happiness I felt. I signed necessary paperwork walked to car, started it put it into drive...and NOTHING. I knew it had to work because they moved it from service to the street. But it didn’t work so I called into sales and I explained what was going on (service was gone by now) and was told someone would call me back then they hung up without getting my number. I thought I’ll give it some time but I noticed a car leaving the service area and my hopes sired that maybe just maybe someone from service was still there but no it was Peter who listened and took the problem by the horns and I was out the door with a beautiful loaner (that I know I won’t want to return) in about 30 minutes. Thank you Peter! !!

Apart from a snafu around financing, I had a generally positive experience with Volvo Cars Seattle.
I was working with Audra, but she was unfortunately unavailable when I arrived from the Portland area, despite having made an appointment. Instead I worked with Travis.
They were very accommodating about my desire to take the car for an independent inspection, and the mechanic confirmed the results of the condition V.C.S. represented in their own intake review of the car. I found that reassuring, and was happy with the vehicle as presented.
I felt I was given a fair value on my trade and a price I was happy with on the Volvo after some minor negotiations.
Unfortunately, because my credit union doesn't participate in the C.U.D.L. network, they were unwilling to accept a pre-qualification letter to finalize the sale. They also refused an offer to have the check sent overnight via FedEx with a tracking number and guaranteed delivery of funds. Instead, I had to drive back to Portland, retrieve a check, and go all the way back to Seattle the next day to take possession of my new car.
It was a frustrating turn of events, but upon my return my new car was waiting ready to go, and it only took about 15 minutes before I was on the road back home with a full tank of gas.
On the whole I would say this was the most positive car buying experience I have ever had. Logistical challenges notwithstanding, I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership.

I've been a BMW owner for the past 6-7 years and recently traded for a 2012 S60 T-5, and a HOT one at that. We dealt with Isaac who is genuinely nice and comes across as being very sincere. He is passionate about selling these cars, you can tell. For my partner and I, it is important that we feel comfortable dealing with anyone on such a large purchase and he came through.
I have to say, we love the Volvo, in fact I think I like it better than my prior two BMW's. The buying experience was fairly painless which was great. Could we have negotiated a slightly better deal? Sure, but, we are thrilled with how we were treated (most importantly), thrilled with what we purchased and especially what we got for our money.
We had to take the car in to have it detailed as promised during the sale (it had just come into the lot the night before so it hadn't yet had a chance to go in for detail). Upon picking the car up yesterday, I was greeted by name and with enthusiasm. Isaac was great as always, and Vic was there as well, making it feel almost as if you're walking into part of your family's dealership. It isn't like other big dealerships where there are so many strange faces, and masked relationships; those working at Bob Byers really make you feel at ease, and almost as if you are at home. I have VERY high standards when it comes to my cars and services provided. So far, Bob Byers has been near the top for us in just having 2 visits under our belts; 1 to buy (which we weren't intending to do) and the other to have the car detailed. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Bob Byers Volvo.

I worked with Navid, there was no BS checking in or out, and the customer service from the initial phone call to picking my car up was exceptional. My courtesy vehicle was current model vehicle. I dropped my car off for a door lock issue first thing in the morning and it was ready to go by the afternoon. This dealership is a little out of the way but if I’m in Seattle and my Volvo has an issue, this service department can get the job done.

Really good customer service. I came in out of town and they provided a loaner car equivalent to my volvo while it was getting serviced. However, I wouldn't have them wash your car for you. While waiting on my paperwork I watched the employee washing a 2016-2018 XC90 set the car wash brush down in the gravel, walk away, and several minutes later return, he picked up the brush from the ground and just continued to wash the car panels without rinsing the dirt and gravel off the brush....not very good for the paint job.

I was in the market for a new midsize sedan that had comfort and quieter ride. I decided to look at a Volvo given the good things I’ve heard about the cars. My sales rep Fiona was patient and answered my many questions I had. I never felt rushed or pressured. I’ve bought several cars over the last 5 years as I like to change things up frequently and this time around my experience was great. I was able to go over all the features the car had and truely understand what I’m purchasing without the rush to make a quick decision. We were on a test drive for a good 30-40 min in rush hour. It helped to be able to gauge reality and moving around in a S90 vehicle in Seattle. The finance team stayed late to get the deal done and never rushed us once. Overall great experience and if you are in the market to look around, see Fiona and she will take you around and explain the vehicles features and history of Volvo.

The people that I dealt with who were managing the service department were very unorganized and poor at communicating. The scheduling was messed up, nobody knew what was going on even though I had called two or three times, not one time did anybody from the service department call me and update me. I had to call there to get updates and information about the status of the repairs.
I only rated this three stars because I’m hoping that the mechanic actually did a great job. So far so good on the actual repairs.
The front end of the service department needs to up their game.

UPDATE - Leased a new Volvo and Kevin kinda let me down this time. Mismanaged the custom car order offering me a package then saying it was too late, forgot to add additional request from the parts department upon delivery, provided a poor overview of the new features and generally missed on several details. I would still recommend this dealership, but if you're going to work with Kevin you'll likely have to remind him of several things along the way and keep a close eye on the details of your purchase.

Purchased a 2014 XC60. I didn’t have to negotiate the price as I felt it to be very reasonable for this low mileage lease return. Dealership did a complete inspection and replaced tires, brakes and made other minor repairs. I am still waiting for new plates and appointment so dealer can complete a full detail.
I had to correct several items on purchase documents that the closing person had wrong. They have promised to refund the errors.

Volvo Cars of Seattle saved our vacation. As we were driving to Seattle for three days of vacation, our Volvo was giving us repeated “turn signal system failure” alerts. Initially the alert seemed to be a “false positive” alert, but then the turn signal system did start to show an error in its operation. Our vacation in Seattle required us to have our Volvo, but we knew we had to get this issue fixed while there. I went online and found Volvo Cars of Seattle with an excellent service record. I called and spoke with Bryan. He said he could get us in the next morning. That was great, but he didn’t stop there. He loaned us a Volvo just like ours to use while ours was in the shop. That was wonderful on two counts: 1) we didn’t have to miss our second vacation day which we had planned for Bainbridge Island, and 2) as the controls in the loaner Volvo were the same as our Volvo, I was not operating an unfamiliar car in Seattle’s traffic. All over the top results. Our car was fixed perfectly, washed and cleaned inside and out, and finished on time as promised. I hope to never have a system failure alert while visiting Seattle again, but if I do I know where to go for the best customer service — Volvo Cars of Seattle. Thanks Bryan for everything! We were about take our vehicle to the state emission inspection site for renewal of the vehicle license. All of a sudden the "check engine" light came on. We knew that would be a problem for the inspector, and went immediately to Steve in your service department for an answer. He had one and immediately took the car in to check the diagnostic code. Within a few minutes he outlined what would have to be done. Several days earlier we had been in to discuss an alternator problem and when it was replaced he mentioned a manifold situation that wasn't normal. We had just spent well over a thousand dollars and were reluctant to go any further at that time. Now, we had to make a decision and said do what has to be done. The manifold repair was completed by noon the following day. Per Steve's instructions we're driving the car each day for an hour or so to be sure the engine displays show a perfect performance. So far so good and we plan to go to emission control Monday or Tuesday of this coming week. I commend Ravenna Motors for their great response.

I took my xc90 in for its 2nd service. I only expected an oil change. When I went to pick it up, they said they found a nail in my rear tire and that they had fixed it. The TPM had been reset by me and I had added air because it has gotten to be a lot cooler in the last week. This really lets me know that they are very thorough in their services. And also, they did not charge me anything! Nothing! Volvo service agreement for new cars are awesome. Volvo Seattle is awesome.

The mechanics at Volvo found a nail in my right front tire and were able to plug it and resolve the issue. Navid was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient throughout our interaction. When I arrived I was told they might not have the part. Volvo Cars Seattle worked surprising fast. I went in to have my breather box replaced on a 2005 s40, they gave me a fair price for parts and labor. They wound up finding a lot more that needed work on my sad little car. Everything else was priced appropriately, and still got me out in a day.
For comparison, Swedish Auto of West Seattle gave me a comically high quote for the breather box alone, greater than $2k (for a common Volvo service item).
Volvo Cars Seattle also had all my parts in stock, so there was no wait!
Also the service office staff were super helpful.

I went in to have the check engine light looked up and found out that I needed a $500 part replacement which was fine, but the check engine light didn’t turn off and I was told that either I had to wait for an half an hour for the technician to come back from lunch or come back two days later, which was a major inconvenience because I don’t live nearby. So, didn’t stay for the half hour and I’m just driving around with the check engine light still on, which is not great.

He jumped right on it and when the parts weren't in stock ordered them for me. There was none of the extra findings and charges that you get at a regular lube shop. My experience with Bob Byers Volvo is that they are honest and do what is needed and don't charge an arm and a leg. I trust them.

Steve was gracious and told me I could use the loaner car to take my planned road trip if my car wasn't ready in time. (It was my fault for not brining the car in earlier but I never felt like anyone at Bob Byers thought that way.)
On day #2, I got a call at 8:15 in the morning from Steve saying my car would be ready THAT MORNING at 9:00!!! Their technician stayed late the day before (day #1) to finish the job so that I could take my own car on the road trip (which is what I preferred). I was wowed!

Great service. I recently took my 2004 XC70 in for a phantom, rear suspension noise and some transmission issues. Turns out the noise was a loose jack and tools under the floor in the back and the transmission needed a software update...No charge...That's right, Bob Byers did not charge me for troubleshooting the noise OR the software update. What a pleasant experience. The 2013 Volvo XC70 courtesy car was a nice touch, as well.
My only recommendation would be to use a portable pressure washer to clean the rims of cars brought in for service vice trying to hand wash them...Oh, and watch the grease marks on door handles, etc.

Very relaxing atmosphere and John went the extra mile to find a vehicle in Oregon that fit our wish list and was subsequently transported up to Seattle and picked up today as promised. Loved our trades in 2017 XC90 but wanted something smaller and the XC60 hit the sweet spot in that regard in providing us excellent Volvo design, engineering, state of the art technology and most importantly industry best safety (of course it’s a Volvo).
