I have been going to Ken Garff Volvo to both purchase my cars and to service them for over 10 years. They have been unfailingly professional, polite and skilled. I have never not been greeted with a smile and with a sincere welcome. Love the service department. They keep me informed, try to make the service as easy as possible on me and even send me movies of what’s wrong with my car when it’s up on the lift. I tend to drive cars a long time and their professionalism is what allows that. And I love Ken Garff Volvo And I trust them.

We had a great experience working with Parker Anderson recently. We had been without a car for a week and when we brought it to Parker, he immediately checked our battery and told us he’d have it fixed within an hour. He also saw that we had a later appointment for a routine check and offered to do that for us as well so that we wouldn’t have to bring the car back in. It was all done so quickly with the best communication from Parker. He took great care of us and and our only regret is that we didn’t call him sooner!

Canyon was great! No pressure. Found what we wanted. Was able to do financing with Canyon as well which was awesome. Didn’t have to go into the ‘back room’ and talk to someone I’ve never seen and have him try to sell me stuff. Very smooth sale. Show room clean. Nice selection of vehicles. We love our Volvo!

Between a new driver receiving her license and the expiration of my wife’s car’s lease, I needed to purchase two cars within a week’s time. I went to Ken Garff Volvo and worked with Thomas Wilden in sales. He worked unbelievable hard to make it feasible to get two vehicles. He even went out of his way to work with a third party vendor to add Car Play to one of the cars (used). He is great and the entire dealership’s management team is top notch. One of the best experiences I have ever had. I am now a permanent Garff customer.

Morgan was a fantastic sales person. Her product knowledge is great. More importantly, she has a winning personality. Very pleasant, but not aggressive- as some car salespeople can be. She went at my pace and wasn’t high pressure. After the sale the walk through of the car, getting it set up etc. was the best I’ve ever had. Overall, it was a great experience all owing to Morgan. She even called a week later to see how it was going and if we had any questions. I’d buy another car from her any day.

This was my very first experience with Volvo. I have a new CX40 and after driving it for 3 miles, the car completely stopped working and wouldn’t turn on. The worst part of this experience was using Volvo’s roadside assistance service. I was told a tow truck driver would be there in 90 minutes. 3 hours later, total knockdown towing showed up and immediately said that the request had been cancelled by me and he wasn’t going to tow the car. The driver Isaiah Oneal, was rude, disrespectful and I was appalled that Volvo would EVER use their services. After calling the Volvo roadside assistance number again, about an hour later another towing company was dispatched- Tucker Towing. They showed up at towed the vehicle to Ken Garff Volvo. What a headache! I hope no one ever uses total knockdown towing Company. They aren’t registered with the BBB. Or I would file a complaint.
The next morning, I called Ken Garff about the car. Alex was helpful, but said they wouldn’t be able to get the car in the shop for a couple of days…. Come to find out, when the vehicle was manufactured, they didn’t bolt down some sensor wires correctly. The wiring came loss and completed shut down the car.
Needless to say, it seems like the car is now working.
One other issue I had was getting help learning about the features of the car and how it works. I was told by the e service department that a salesman would be happy to help me when I picked up the car.
That was farther from the truth. I felt like I was inconveniencing the salesman. I even told him that I realized his time is valuable and I appreciate anything he can teach me. After 10 minutes, I knew I had to get out of there.
It’s sad, I was so excited to have a Volvo and experience the great service that comes with it. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience.

When we have first arrived at Volvo service center, we were feeling kind of frustrated because no one was really giving us any answers as to what we need to do with our car. Brandon, the assistant manager, then stepped up and handled our service request with no problem. He was easy to work with and very informative. If it wasn’t for Brandon stepping in, my husband and I would’ve been very disappointed with a Volvo experience at Ken Garff. Moving forward we will request to work with him.

Two things that would have been above and beyond.
1. Need more Volvo dealers in the state. (Probably not going to happen)
2. Would have been nice to have the vehicle charged up, but certainly not necessary.

I brought my XC-90 in for service, tires, repair of AC, and Detailing work. Everything was done well except the detail work. I was initially very unsatisfied as the detail work was not done so I needed to do it myself. See photos for water spots that were not removed. The General Manager reached out to me, and has made it right. What can I say! It might have taken a few weeks for them to get on this, but what counts is they do care about their reputation, and customer satisfaction, and do make things right when they don't achieve a good review. I changed my 1 star review into a 4 star review, and expect that next time I go in for services, I will be leaving a 5 star review.

Everyone I’ve interacted with in the service and parts departments have been extremely helpful and friendly. The communication from the techs to the service writers to the customers is fast and informative. I’ve never felt like I’m trying to be sold on unnecessary maintenance or parts. Alex in the service department has been especially helpful. I purchased my car with a warranty through carmax and he was able to contact carmax on my behalf and my repairs were covered by the time I went to pick up my car. I’ll keep coming back!

August 2022.... The service was excellent and my questions were answered..I liked the video that showed my brake lining was down to 1 millimeter and that new linings were needed now and the new brake pads are 11 to 12 millimeters ...I appreciated seeing the real need and the brakes feel great as I drove home.
..I like the Volvo because it is an outstanding product and a joy to drive....I was disappointed that the dealer wanted $60 for the Emissions test and my neighborhood shop only charges $38... They said they were unable to drop their price to compete with the market price. So I got the test done at my neighborhood shop.
One negative .... It is nice that the dealership allows homeless people to come in for snacks and a reprieve from the heat..... So, we were in the waiting area to see this as two homeless persons came in and were greeted by the front desk.... Then they got their snacks and came and sat right next to us.....I felt this was not the place to have allowed these people to sit.... The body odor was so bad that I got up and my wife and I found a couple of chairs too sit in at another location inside the dealership near the sales counter ....

Owning a Volvo is not cheap. However, I have made the mistake of bargain shopping parts and service elsewhere. It has always come back to bite me. Dealing with the dealership is the best option. It’s always hard when your vehicle breaks. However, Brandon in the service department truly does care. He will do everything he can to help you. He does a better job at communicating than most do. We’ve unfortunately had to communicate a lot, due to our car needing attention. I would recommend working with Brandon any day.
The dealership itself is quite accommodating. They are open to loaner vehicles. They are great at rides. And if you do need to wait, the waiting area is clean and stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks that other dealerships don’t provide.
Anytime I’ve had an issue or question they have been great at listening and trying to mend things.

He sent me a video of what had been done on my car and what needed to be done in the future, like new tires and windshield wipers. We have had nothing but great experiences with the Ken Garff Volvo service department over the years, and Brandon has been absolutely the best to deal with. From service/repair jobs large to small, the work has been professionally done, with lifetime warranty/labor on OEM parts. Our vehicle is from mid-2000 vintage and has been kept running and excellently maintained with the help of this service dept. A few years back we noticed a sudden uptick in attempts to “up-sell” but this fortunately was temporary and we have not experienced any pressure since. I can honestly offer my highest recommendations.

I took my 2006 vehicle in for a faulty air conditioner. I thought it was going to need a new compressor which was going to run north of $2000. They were able to find a loose wire and we’re able to service it and clean it up, good as new and it only cost a tenth of what I feared it would. Update 2022- very happy with my experience, I decided to just use the website to schedule my appointment. I actually completely missed it by accident and they rescheduled it for me without a call or anything to the following Friday. The service team was slammed but per usual was really helpful at both 8:40 a and 3 p.
Update 2021- my experience the last few weeks have been slightly frustrating with Volvo. In July I came due for an oil change. I reached out via phone call to get a quote for service. The person whom I spoke with couldn’t give me an idea on price and told me she would have someone call me back. That phone call never was returned, I reached back out a few weeks later and scheduled the oil change (still didn’t provide cost.)
A few days later My driver side interior door handle broke, I called back in and spoke with someone who could not tell me if it was covered under warranty and what the cost would be. I did my own research and Turned out I am well under mileage and years and it is completely covered. This Person then explained to me that I would have to reschedule my existing appointment for roughly two weeks later as they “didn’t have the part in.”
When I arrived today I was asked again what was wrong with my door. I’m guessing the service department wasn’t made aware of what was going on. I further found out they didn’t have the part and would have to order it. I believed I was avoiding a second visit by being rescheduled two weeks later.
I had Volvos service team provide the maintenance as recommended by their team today. However, to top it off I received and alert driving home telling me my rear light is malfunctioning. This light has never gone off before today and just provided the icing on the cake.
The service team is trying to make it right by offering to fix this as no cost to me and even offered to come to my work and save me the trip.
With everything that happened today I don’t find their service department at fault and they are trying to make it right. I think the complete lack of setting proper expectations by their sales/receptionist team is leading to this fairly poor experience.
You have a lot of great people that work here, please set better expectations for people calling in to schedule service….that is if you are really listening like your billboards claim.
2018 review - I am SO impressed with this dealership. Jeremy and Byron made my experience seamless even down to the paperwork. This is my first Volvo and I’ll be back to get my wife an SUV after her Lexus lease is up.

I recently took my Volvo for regular maintenance and it was by far the best experience I’ve had with car service. Mike was great in helping me determine what I needed for the age and mileage of my car. They sent me a video after the inspection was completed to explain additional service recommendations. I never felt pressured or felt they were trying to sell me things I didn’t need. They were honest and informative. When I returned to pick up my car, Mike arranged for Morgan, one of the sales associates, to meet with me and answer my questions about the car, as well as to show me additional features and benefits of the car. EDIT: I'm downgrading my rating because of some mechanical issues that I became aware of with the car after purchase. Namely, the brakes had a slight squeak on our test drive. I was given the report from the mechanic indicating that the brake pads had been replaced and were told squeak was from that and would resolve in a few days. I was gone for a few weeks and when I returned and started driving the car again I noticed that the squeaking was not going away. I took it to my mechanic thinking that the brakes may need to be reconditioned and was told that all four rotors needed to be replaced (~$1,000). I think this should have been disclosed on the mechanical report and repaired before sale.
ORIGINAL: I had a truly lovely buying experience today purchasing a 2015 Subaru Forester from Garff Volvo. I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson than Morgan and Josh in finance was equally wonderful. I did not expect to be so glowing about my dealership experience but am very pleased! I would recommend them without hesitation.

Update May 2022 - They made it right and found the issue. A new steering rack was need at over 4K in cost. They fixed it (and mostly covered all the costs) and my wife is happy once again. Thank you Ken Garff for following through and resolving the issue.
EDIT*** What started as a great experience has left me disappointed. We bought a used XC60 which was a great initial experience. Canyon and Moses were very nice and professional. We were told the vehicle had not been through what they call “shop” yet meaning it hadn’t been cleaned/maintenance items addressed as the vehicle just arrived. We were assured all would be serviced and any issues that we noticed would be resolved. The short test drive we took before buying the car didn’t reveal a very annoying steering problem that we obviously raised to Ken Garff before it came back for the “shop” service so they could address. It never was addressed and it seems the dealer doesn’t believe anything is wrong with the way it drives. We took it to Les Schwab and they said they believe it’s due to a miscalibration in the lane assist safety feature that is causing the wheel to constantly pull during turns. Super annoying. The dealer offered to get me out of the car but at a net loss to what I originally had in my deal. Again ANNOYED that my super excited wife who loves Volvo’s is now soured by this experience. Just want it fixed. That’s all. I will have it fixed at my own expense and will not buy another car from this dealership. Again Canyon was great, but disappointed in the level of service otherwise.

It was a cold night so that may have played into it, but 2.5 hours from closing so not one of those jerks coming last minute. We waited 20 minutes to be helped and even the front desk person in the showroom didn't acknowledge us. After we were helped, were were told a XC-40 we wanted online was sold before it arrived and occasionally gets put online by accident they didn't have the vehicle I wanted. We drove one and liked most things and even the manager suggested a different color that was over by the Recharge XC-40s. I stated we wanted e fully loaded, but we weren't told this one lacked adaptive cruise and pilot assist and by now it was dark outside so we couldn't really see interior colors that well. We purchased it and it's fine, it really is, it drives amazing, perfect handling and it will serve us well. The salesman gave us the wrong spare key fob that went to a different vehicle so I had to drive back for that and rather than apologize or chat, he was on his cellphone during the exchange and just, I don't know, didn't make me feel like an important customer. Maybe it's me, but paying $46,000+ for something, you'd think everyone would treat you a little better. They had a refreshment bar with hot and cold drinks and we weren't offered anything during the 3 hour purchase process. In summary, we love the vehicle despite not getting full disclosure and exactly what we wanted, but inventory is limited, I get that, truly, but don't advertise vehicles that are already sold on your website, treat customers like they will be life long brand loyalists and maybe, just maybe offer the spouse to be on the loan and title. The misses wasn't happy about that. We were a first time Volvo purchaser and it was.. meh.

Picked up a used Volvo XC90 for $50K+. Sales people were great, Morgan & JJ, no pressure, which I appreciate. Now for the constructive feedback: upon negotiation, I was surprised the Mgr wouldn’t allow a tire swap out from winter to summer tires (wasn’t really “heard” on that issue)as the car came with 2 sets of tires. In fact, a Dealer shouldn’t be selling a high end SUV with Blizzaks on them in 95 degree weather. Car needs some cosmetic work, to be cleaned and gased up still. Point is, the car really wasn’t sell ready so now we have to walk it thru to get a stuff done on it. A bunch of extra effort for such a big purchase.

STAY AWAY. $10000 and I was put in a dangerous situation 2 times of the 4 times in 2.5 months I paid for my car to continuously be returned in worse shape 3 times. The last time I just took the car back as the service department claimed to have done something about the issues neglected 3 times prior. I missed two family reunions a Christmas trip to see my covid recovering father... 74 years young and who's social security was helping me to pay for the useless "repairs" err this service departments Christmas bonuses. The fact that I let them know very very clearly was occurring. They used my catalyst platinum for scrap cash as a nice Thanksgiving bonus. Also they gave me my car back New Year's Eve and once prior to nearly immediately die within no more than 20 miles of driving away from that extortion shop. Thankfully manslaughter wasn't a result of the negligence 2 times over. When I was stalled out and check engine light flashing like the Christmas I was unable to attend and my fiance's grandmother's last family reunion. Instead forced to attend to any mechanic shop that cannot assess a coil pack with a multimeter. Let alone tighten up a hose clamp. Fleecing me for a review prior to touching my car. Along with my cash my father's cash and going out plenty of Christmas harm and ultimately refusing to do more than 45 minutes of verifying the repair that I ultimately made to the intake hose clamp they could not seem to secure. Taking back the car, I was able to fix the problem that they missed four times over. From inspection to receiving payment and returning my vehicle they missed something that I found on YouTube. And other forums, doing homework while I waited for the pros to professionally screw me

During recent visit from out-of-town, my otherwise trusty XC70 needed to be towed due to sudden engine failure. Luckily I chose Ken Garff Volvo. The Service Advisor, Brandon, was pleasant and kept me informed on repair status. It was determined that the turbo return air pipe had blown loose, and simply needed to be re-secured and then tested. Service advisor was professional, thorough and respectful. The one complaint surrounds Ken Garff’s online appointments and invoicing. I booked an appointment for early morning. I dropped my Volvo off the night before, filled out drop off paperwork and included the print out of the appt and service requested. I had signed as requested which should have allowed the work to begin as scheduled. I received a voice mail from advisor at approximately 11am asking me to confirm service requested and cost. As most customers are working professionals, msg was not returned for 2 hours. This wasted time. My signature along with a print out of expected service should have allowed work to be done in the early morning per scheduled appointment. I appreciated the video from the mechanic or tech regarding completed work. Excellent idea! Lastly, Ken Garffs online invoice should be updated to include discounts. Discount did show up on final printed invoice however, for added customer confidence, the online invoice should show discounts so final payment owed matches between hard copy and online.

They are thorough and always willing to help navigate your decisions on any last minute repairs and won’t push you on decisions to hold off. FIRST OF ALL, being a female and having to take a car in is always a nightmare, most male technicians are quick to glance but never fully observe what your vehicle needs, extremely fast for the bogus labor costs and time delays. The honesty from Michael was amazing, I got a nice sized rock chip on the moonroof, cracking after a car wash and Michael didn’t make me feel like the sky was falling if I hold off for that price tag! I love the loaner car service because I can be worry free getting to and from work, my car was done so much sooner than I expected that I wasn’t able to pick up myVolvo until the morning. When I went to return, the city had shut down all access to the dealership. After driving around trying to see a way back there, giving up and heading to work; Michael calls me in the afternoon and sounds worked to a pulp from dealing with the chaos all day! He was so understanding and made me feel comfortable that I didn’t have to break away from the clients or show up late to work. This shows just how much Ken Garff values and respects their clients….even after a day of hell given to us by the beautiful & impromptu UTAH road construction!

The car was under warrenty and the staff were again really great. Got a loaner car. They diagnosed the problem and it was an O2 sensor. I was in Salt Lake for one day and visited several different dealerships looking for a new car. I live 4 hours away and wanted to test drive as many cars as possible. The sales people I worked with at Ken Garff were very nice and knowledgeable. They had a great inventory of cars to choose from. When I got back home I decided to buy a beautiful new V60 wagon and my salesperson let me put a deposit down on the car. I told my salesperson what day I would be able to come back to SLC and complete the purchase of my car. We were in contact by phone and email. They even offered to pick me up from the airport. I was so excited, this was the nicest and most expensive car I have ever bought. The bummer was that they forgot I was coming. No one was at the airport to pick me up, but they did pay for my Lift to the dealership. Ended up being my salesperson’s day off and I had to work with a new person who was caught off guard by my arrival.The car wasn’t ready (cleaned and software updates) so I had to wait several hours for it to be done. Not the end of the world, but it was a bit disappointing that they forgot I was coming. Everyone who helped me was very nice, did their best under the circumstances and they apologized for what happened. Upside is that I have a beautiful new car that I love.

Mckay says we'd typically need an appointment, but graciously talks with service team (Alex) and says we can bring it in first thing in the morning to get checked out no problem. Relieved, but still dreading what may or may not be wrong.
Show up early and pull into the service area where friendly folks wave us in before Alex comes over and quickly remembers the context before taking the car and saying it might take an hour to figure out what is going on... 30 minutes later he and the team have fixed a recall issue and replaced an engine part under warranty at no cost. Bonus, he washes the car before bringing it around and sending us back on our apocalyptic roadtrip.

In 2006 I bought a new S80 when I lived in Portland Oregon and had the car for 9 years the longest I have ever kept a car. With only 70,000 miles on it I traded it in for a 2015 Nissan Rogue at Ken Garff Nissan. They gave me more than anyone else for my Volvo and treated me right.
However, I longed for the quality of another Volvo and the great service that comes with it. So I just bought a 2019 XC40 from Josh and love the car. It has so many bells and whistles that I was confused how the car worked. Josh was so patient with me even when I was freaked out. The General Manager Don Brower called me and arranged for me to talk to the Service Manager Mike Johnson. As it turned out, it was pilot error, shame on me for not reading the manual thoroughly.
I have worked with many car dealers over the years and Ken Garff is a quality dealer with the best service and they don't keep you in there all day trying to make a deal. Sorry guys, but I will probably keep this Volvo for a long time too, but when it comes time to trade it in I will be back for another Volvo!

Ken Garff Volvo is a great place to buy a quality car. I previously was a Honda owner wanting something different, but also very safe. My salesman was Keaton Tanzer, and while initially I was unsure if I wanted new or used, he was able to provide me with good information in helping me make my decision. After my first meeting with Keaton, he sent me links to used inventory and really listened as I went back and forth between the choices. I went in 3 times before making my decision and made numerous phone calls regarding their warranty, roadside assistance, and other options for repair or service outside their service area. Keaton was very helpful and patient. After purchasing a Volvo I don't have one regret. It is a great car, reliable, and I feel like the staff at the dealership is still willing to help me along the way as an owner. Everyone is friendly as you walk in the door. Mike, our salesman, was polite and nice. I felt like he wanted my business. When discussing the price of the vehicle he said the price was firm due to the car price, doc fees, and tax and license. I can understand that they have a bottom line they need to meet. When finishing the paper work I was told about all of the "extras" we had purchased with the vehicle. We were never told upfront about extra insurance if the vehicle was stolen. This isn't a dealer fee, but a $399 sell up. When I asked if it could be removed, since I didn't want the extra insurance, I was told it could not since all the paperwork had already been printed.
If you are buying a vehicle from Ken Garff, go over the EVERY part of the deal. I've purchased vehicles from other dealers and they will ask you upfront if you want the extra warranties, or insurances.
Ken Garff's current marketing slogan of "We Hear You" might be true, they will hear you, but they won't do anything to make it right. Which is sad since my experience started out well, but has made me not want to be a return customer.
UPDATE:I was contacted by the Sales Manager of Ken Garff Volvo shortly after my post, and we discussed what happened with my vehicle purchase. After we talked and worked out an agreement I felt like I was treated much better. He followed up with me today to make sure that I had received my refund. Because of this I have changed my rating of my experience from 2 stars to 4.

I've worked on and bought and sold cars for over 35 years. Yesterday, 02/26/14, I brought in a client's 2006 Volvo S40 2.4i to their Volvo Service Department in Salt Lake City to have warranty work done. The car’s engine had a whistle and needed the engine oil trap assembly and hose replaced. I want to tell you of the great experience I received from the staff. I arrived on time for my 8:30 AM appointment and was promptly met by Clay Williams. Clay was pleasant and professional and took my information. He invited me to have a drink and donuts and a seat in the customer lounge. I was impressed with how efficiently I was handled in the service drive both checking the car in and checking it out. I was further impressed with how clean and neat the facility is including the customer lounge (and quiet). Most customer lounges are next to or in the middle of the busy operations of a car dealership. Theirs isn’t and I like that. After having a donut and a drink, I went to the parts counter. There I met with Dan Anderson, who listened to my needs and was pleasant and professional. He answered my questions, gave me prices and printed pictures I requested of systems breakdowns for the parts I will install in the future. He admitted to me he had only been at Volvo Parts a few months, but was able to handle my needs. Clay talked to me about a missing engine splash shield and a broken radiator fan assembly on the Volvo. I could tell he wasn’t trying to sell me parts, but was letting me know things my Technician found on the car I should know about to tell my client. He gave me prices for parts and labor. Another man stopped to say hi and make sure I was being well taken care of. I didn’t catch his name. When the car repair was done Clay had me sign documents and gave me copies of the work done. The car had been washed and was waiting for me. The repair was done in a timely manner. I appreciated the work done by Mike Brown (the Technician), Clay Williams (the Service Advisor) and Dan Anderson (Parts Professional). During my 35 years working on cars I’ve worked for and been to many dealerships and auto repair shops, so I know how things typically are in the car world. I was shocked and surprised to find the Dealership so pleasant and staffed by good people. No one jacked me around or wasted my time. I did feel heard. I sent my comments to the General Manager (Will Schaerr) and he asked me to please post my comments online. It’s hard in today’s world to find good, honest auto repair places to take your car. Most auto shops aren’t very well run. They might be good at fixing cars, but they suck at business management and customer service. I would recommend Ken Garff Volvo Salt Lake City Service to anyone looking to get their Volvo worked on. I had a great experience and would give them a grade of A+.

After what I would consider normal experience with sales (neither good nor bad). I ended up buying a Certified Volvo out of state. Since it is a Volvo certified car, it is important to get my vehicle serviced at a Volvo dealer.
I expected the service to cost more than an independent shop, and it did.
However, I was impressed with E Brandon Johnson and his willingness to help make the experience as painless as possible. He was very upbeat (not an easy task, when dealing with people who enjoy getting their car serviced about as much as they do going to the dentist).
The waiting area (the place were I wished I had stayed, instead of being dragged to CityCreek by my wife; 2 days before Christmas) was nice ,and had several flat screen T.V's and also cold beverages.
Overall I am satisfied, and will use the service department for all of my future appointments. Heck, I might even give the sales department another shot one day.

Found Garff and the Volvo I wanted online, I called and the sales representative "Leslie" who worked with me. I made my offer over the phone and she got back to me with the dealerships counter offer which I accepted. The entire negotiation took less than 10 minutes!
I flew to Salt Lake City a few days later and Leslie was kind enough to pick me up at the airport. Drove me directly to the dealership, we signed all the papers, I gave them a check and was out the door in about 45-minutes with the car washed, gassed up, oil changed and ready for me to drive home!
I currently have nine vehicles and have purchased may more over the years. This experience with Kenn Garff and Leslie was by far the fastest, easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had! I had some sensors in my vehicle that needed to be reset, but the closest Volvo service center was four hours from my house. We had a very nice experience, we had found the vehicle we wanted to look out online and it was available to drive. Moises was very easy to deal with and when he told him what we needed to close the deal he came through. My wife needed heated seats so an appointment was set up and when we took the car in they placed us in a rental at no charge till we got the car back. I love my Volvo s60cc, but if you plan to use them to service your car, be prepared to pay above fair market value on parts and labor. They are friendly and offer great service and will even price match on parts if you do the legwork.

After a demeaning experience with another salesMAN, we were literally out the door and on our way to the Porsche dealership to settle on a Macan we had driven earlier. As we were leaving, Jerimy approached us and immediately made us feel at ease and respected. His interest in our needs and willingness to find a car that would fill them turned a very disappointing encounter with Volvo and The Ken Garff name into a sale of a new XC60. Further, since that purchase I have asked Jerimy to find us another car for another family member. A months later, my wife continues to LOVE her XC60.

We had driven quite a distance to get jerked around over at Mark Miller South Towne (we drove 3 hours with 3 kids under 6 years old to see a specific car that they confirmed they had on the lot and made an appointment to see, only to find out upon arrival that the car had "just sold"!). We decided to check out Ken Garff Volvo because they had advertised a similar car. We got there and found the actual car but, to our disappointment, they had closed down early for a Christmas Party. We were set to leave, still fuming about the treatment we received at Mark Miller, when Moises came to the door and asked if he could help us. We actually said we didn't think so since there was no supporting crew around to help finalize the transaction but Moises said he could help, because he was capable of completing the purchase from start to finish all by himself! We were amazed and not only was he able to do it but he did it quickly, efficiently, and gave us an amazing deal right up front with no haggling back and forth at all. We came away with a much better deal than we had expected to get when we started our journey. Just that he came and opened the door to us to see if we needed help was great but the fact that he made the whole deal so pleasant was absolutely exceptional. I've always stayed clear of getting my vehicles serviced at dealerships until I started taking my XC90 to Volvo. I'd spend more money on other mechanics who would never seem to fix the problem. Today I'm writing to let people know that their service techs saved my life, literally. I had new rims put on my SUV at another company and they didn't tell me that my wheel was so damaged that it should not be driven. I knew something was very wrong with my car. I took it to Volvo and they explained what was wrong. I ended up buying another vehicle thru their dealership. I would highly recommend Matt as their sales rep. I wasn't prepared to by another car and he worked with me in finding a great car and made it work within my budget. I never write reviews and felt that my experience with the Volvo dealership and techs warranted this review. Today I showed up for a scheduled service from a recall notice on the AWD system. I live and work about one hour from the dealer so getting up here isn't the easiest. I didn't book over the phone which would have helped but did note the purpose on the online appt booker. Upon arriving they stated the service was already completed and unnecessary. I was annoyed, but mostly at myself for not calling to set it up. They (two employees) were very sympathetic and took action to try and make a potential negative service experience into a positive one. I was offered drinks, a free car wash and then the service manager called on my way back to work to offer anything they could do to improve my experience and also assured me (this was a voicemail to me) they were going to learn from that experience to avoid that again with a client. I was so impressed. Great companies are not free from mistakes but willing to learn and improve from them. Excellent service Ken Garff Volvo!

I can't believe how time flies! I have just leased my 5th vehicle from Ken Garff Volvo. It's a 2021 XC90 Inscription, and we love it! What I love even more is working with this dealership. Once again, we worked with Mitch Cameron, who is fun, knowledgeable, and no pressure. The boss, Don, was also perfect in making sure we understood and saw how everything would work out with varying options. It just makes the process so easy and great. Even doing the final paperwork with Moises was quick and easy. To top things off, when we were sitting in the office with Mitch, Brandon, our usual service advisor, saw us and popped in to say hello. I'd give it ten stars based on my experience.

I love the personal feeling at Ken Garff Volvo. I am leasing two vehicles from them at the moment. Luckily, I don't need to go to the dealership very often, but it is so amazing that the receptionist remembers my wife and I by name. Everyone there, from our salesperson (Mitch Cameron) to the manager (Don Brower), really made our experience great. When it comes to the service department, we get the same excellent treatment.

Just bought a used mini van from Mark at ken garff Volvo. I wasn’t expecting to get first class treatment as I wasn’t buying a Volvo - but I felt like they pulled out the red carpet for me. Mark was great and not pushy and he was kind and helpful and answered all my questions. I got my car at mid level blue book pricing and when I went to pick my minivan up it was meticulously detailed with a tank full of gas. I shopped around a lot before deciding on the used mini van from ken garff Volvo. I went to many used car dealerships including velocity and prestman auto and Larry h Miller and I felt like I would have gotten the same deal on my car at any of those places but not nearly as good of service and care. Ken garff also includes free roadside service and other services when you buy a car from them. I loved my experience here.

I took a used Volvo to Ken Garf in SLC hoping their expertise would give me peace of mind. After paying $1500 for a thorough inspection and 75,000 mile service, they gave it a clean bill of health. Four subsequent visits and $7,000 later they continued to discover expensive-to-fix problems, and after one visit to perform a timing chain change and other expensive surgery, they released the car with damage they had caused, not having test driven it apparently. They did not charge for towing or fixing the damage they had caused, and gave me a price break on another problem that they discovered after Ryan, the service manager, had the technicians do a full inspection. Although I am always suspicious when a maintenance and repair shop continues to find additional problems that I have no way of verifying, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I wish to acknowledge here the patient, attentive listening of Customer Advocate Chris Garcia and his advocacy. Chris was the last of a number of employees I appealed to when I recognized a communication failure had left me unable to make sound decisions about the servicing of my car. He listened long and carefully to me, asking questions to confirm his understanding of my positions and the evidence supporting them – eventually recognizing himself the validity of my claims. As the extent to which I needed to be reimbursed was beyond his personal prerogative, Chris went to work exploring possibilities beyond his own. Within days, he called to inform me Ken Garff would indeed be refunding me the appropriate amount. As I often mentioned to employees during this process, it was the Ken Garff “We hear you!” billboards that kept me believing I would somehow find justice. The dealership sign I last saw said “Even with the roar of the engines, WE HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!” energized me to make yet another appeal. It not only led me to Chris, but it confirmed for me that Ken Garff does indeed mean what those signs say. - I thank you, Ken Garff Volvo and applaud your sense of fairness and follow-through on that fairness! Finally, my deepest regards for and gratitude to Chris Garcia! He treated me like an intelligent human being who had thought thoroughly and carefully about an unfortunate situation and respectfully presented her case. Chris heard me “loud and clear” and he also followed through on what he knew to be right - no matter how much it cost in dollars and cents. Many thanks to Chris Garcia and Ken Garff Volvo!

Ken Garff service is phenomenal, unfortunately their sales team is not. One of their sales people lied directly to my face. He told me he spoke with my financing bank and said they are needing over $5,000 down for a decent monthly payment. I called the bank myself and secured what I wanted to pay for $0 down. Complete dishonesty but I rely on them for service of my XC-90, never had a bad experience with the service department.

I purchased a 2017 S 60 Inscription in September 2019. I have had no mechanical concern and the vehicle operates fine.
My disappointment with the dealership is because a few weeks into ownership and after the freshening of detailing wore off it became apparent that the prior owner was a smoker. I do not take issue with someone's choice to smoke. However, I have asthma and find the residual odor to be a pulmonary irritant resulting in cough and mild shortness of breath when in the vehicle.
I purchased from an auto parts store an aerosol that was to "eliminate" the residual odor. It worked fine to cover the smell for a few months but as it has worn off the odor has returned..
Had I been aware of this I would have avoided the purchase. I would also expect a dealership of higher end vehicles to be more upfront and to have disclosed this prior to the sale.

We just bot a used Volvo from Ken Garff. How can you not love a Volvo? It is literally a clean one owner, so we are very happy so far. Saw the car online but didn't know where it was on the lot. Our salesman Keaton Tanzer came out to help. He showed us the car and the test drive was awesome. Keaton is fabulous because he read our cues and didn't waste my time talking about things we didn't care about, like the radio/sound system. Also, I had some fears about a used car with so lots of miles and he talked to us straight, noting both the good and the bad. He didn't try to hide anything. The best part of the experience, unlike most car dealers, I didn't feel like I had to go home and shower after because of the sleezy things they all do and the way they treat you. None of that with Keaton. Ken Garff Volvo and their staff are fabulous. Oh yeah, one more thing. The financing guy, Byron, did a great job in finding a credit union with great rates and terms that matched what we wanted when all this started.

Fancy dealership, nice waiting room and offices, complimentary snacks and beverages. Very busy, salespeople barely had time to talk to us, even with an appointment. Receptionist didn't even ask our name or who we were meeting or if we had an appointment, so we waited quite a while. They all seemed a little overwhelmed, maybe understaffed for a Saturday, but very knowledgeable about their product. Parking is limited, lot is in very confined space in downtown SLC.

Bought an uncommon minivan model (2017 Toyota Sienna AWD LE) in my wife's favorite color here in mid-June. Got the title at the very end of August.
The salespeople were friendly and reasonably polite.
After I initially drove the vehicle home I reviewed the theft warranty, and found it required some kind of VPP (Vehicle Protection Product). I thought this might be etching the VIN on the windows, but I didn't see any such etching. I called and the salesperson didn't seem to know about the VPP (Vehicle Protection Product) that the theft warranty mentions and requires.
When I called later, the sales manager (Chris) did know about the VTR and explained to me politely what the VTR is and that it uses stickers on the doors and under the hood and on the rear hatch. The car did not have the VTR stickers installed initially when I drove it home, though it should have.
Even so, the VTR stickers were ready to put on when I came to pick up my license plate, though I guess they forgot to train the new sales guy on it and I had to tell him to put it on the doors rather than on the main body of the car.
The original salesperson actually retired during the time I was waiting for my license plates to come in, and so my calls to his number to check if my plates were ready before this time went unanswered. Sales could do a better job of handing off pending transactions for a salesperson that's leaving to a new sales guy.
The vehicle had a lien on it from another state so the DMV sent me a letter that said they couldn't give me a title. I tried asking the new sales guy about it but after he initially said he'd forward this question to the finance department I checked in repeatedly. He did answer once and said he'd check again but after that I tried a few more times (both text message and leaving a voice mail) and didn't get a response.
After repeated attempts I finally just called Chris the Sales Manager and within an hour he explained what was going on and that they initially had the lien on it but that it had cleared and I could verify with the DMV that it was clear. I did verify with the DMV, and it was cleared.
So I guess my complaints are just not following up for handling questions and issues I gave to sales until I asked the Sales Manager. That and the sales guys need better training on VTR, what it is, and how to install it. I guess they may not normally install it as it might be done during detailing but they should know about it regardless. I understand they have to pay the most attention to new customers, but I would just expect some kind of followup from them instead of having to eventually call the sales manager directly myself. Maybe I should have just done that to begin with and saved everyone the trouble.
Anyways, we got the car we wanted at a reasonable price and didn't have any hostility problems and they eventually took care of things so there's my feedback and I give it 3 stars. Not excellent, but not poor either, just in the middle.
